So I think I might be able to say why the trooper story is the worst.

in the other class stories, the dialogue options paint very different characters. The plot of warrior and inq actually change depending on your alignment, and the warrior story actually changes a bunch. Dark side consular is actually evil.

But trooper doesn't really change. The dark side options just make you a lazy or resentful bitch, and the light side options make you a duty or nobility focused "go getter". But the result is the same. if you choose the dark side options, you just bitch a bit about having to do stuff, and then you do it. it's entirely pointless and in fact doesn't really make much sense. You would simply be demoted for that sort of behavior. But in the other class stories, there are actual things at stake. They can't just boot the consular because the consular has a specific trait that makes them necessary, this is true for the Knight and the Inq and the warrior as well. All of these stories actually respond to your being evil or good, and all of them make sense that people would put up with you because they need you.

But dark side trooper makes no sense, and the dialogues all don't really matter if you resent doing your job or you're proud to, it's the same.

This is why trooper is the worst story. The plot is fine, the characters are fine, the missions themselves are fine. The one thing that really puts trooper below the other class stories is that you don't really get to guide your character in a way that matters, you're just either a petty bitch or a noble soldier. These are trivial differences between the supreme evil or supreme good consular can go in, or warrior's actual plot reflecting their alignment, and such things.

Best class story is a close race between warrior, agent, and consular. Worst class story is a close race between trooper and hunter. For the same reasons all around: player expression and plot reactivity to choices.
