- `----' `----'
- Fragrant rose garden.
- The stars twinkle in the clear night sky. An heraldic pennon flies here, bearing the arms of Silas. An heraldic pennon flies here, bearing the arms of Sothantos. There are 2 tall bronze floor braziers here. Sir Zenui Ruthras, Mnemosyne Templar is here. He wields a gleaming scimitar in each hand.
- You see exits leading north and east.
- Zalas walks purposefully in from the east, white robes fluttering softly.
- A priest smiles warmly at you as he enters from the east.
- Standing taut and exuding an air of quiet dignity, Zalas, the Herald, seems at constant peace with his environment. Dressed in immaculate robes of white with a shimmering golden trim, the herald is a picture of unbending punctuality. A slight smile plays itself elegantly upon his lips, while the soft golden strands of hair which cover his brow add a sense of youth to this esteemed figure.
- Just shy of six feet tall, Father Garron is a stout man of advancing age. Smile lines and crows feet adorn his well-tanned face. Garron stands straight and tall, his shoulders back and head held high. Eyes the colour of robins' eggs reflect intelligence and discipline. Bushy, expressive eyebrows droop over his gaze, one slightly higher than the other. Closely-cropped white whiskers frame his jawline. He is wearing an ivory-white robe.
- (Targossas): Halos says, "Greetings everyone!"
- (Targossas): Halos says, "The Dawnlord's special day is nearly upon us."
- (Targossas): Halos says, "This day we will be gathering in the rose garden near the Southern Pillar of Morning to celebrate the union of Silas and Sothantos. All are invited to witness the happy occasion and take part in the following festivities and feasting."
- With an air of confidence, Talarna marches in from the north.
- Antonius gives Lady Talarna a respectful salute.
- You lower your head respectfully before Lady Talarna.
- Zenui gives Lady Talarna a respectful salute.
- Lady Talarna looks around sharply and raises an eyebrow.
- Lady Talarna says, "Bloody hell Tesha you look like an explosion in a bakery."
- Opening your mouth wide, you gape in wonder at Lady Talarna.
- Antonius utters a deep, rumbling laugh.
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light raises her hand to her mouth and titters girlishly.
- Zenui chuckles long and heartily.
- Antonius says to you in a refined, educated voice, "Don't worry, you'll get used to Templar charm."
- Lady Talarna gives Antonius a respectful salute.
- Lady Talarna gives Zenui a respectful salute.
- Very large for even a Troll, Talarna stands over seven foot tall, it's hard to pick her age, as her gentle face gives the impression of youth only to be confused by her intelligent and wise eyes. She moves with confidence and agility as she yells out orders to her squires. Sheathed in a scabbard tied to either side of her are two Logosian longswords moving in rhythm as she glides about the room.
- Echald arrives from the north.
- A young woman in plain garments arrives from the north.
- Arresting eyes of watery blue dominate the pale face of this young woman, her long, braided hair framing her feminine visage. While her mottled grey garments swathe her modestly down to her ankles, her bodice is left slightly undone to reveal a hefty expanse of snowy bosom. Bony shoulders and skinny arms bear permanent marks, and the spidery traces of her veins run blue and purple inside her elbows. A tuft of sable fur dangles untidily from beneath her skirts, near her ankle.
- A scrawny woman takes a deep sniff and immediately sneezes.
- A scrawny woman says, "It pongs in here something fierce."
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light says, "Probably the humgii. It vomited on the way over."
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light gives a pained sigh.
- A scrawny woman says, "Thank you for being my escort, Echald."
- Lady Talarna blinks incredulously at a scrawny woman.
- You whisper soothing words to Giles, a golden humgii.
- Echald says in a clicking and chittering voice, "I bring forth the honorable champion of the chicken known as Suzillianaria. It is a good chicken, I am sure."
- You smile and whisper to Giles, a golden humgii in a demure, mellifluous voice, "You do not smell, dear."
- A scrawny woman says, "Suzy is lovely."
- Lady Talarna says, "That must be one of Silas' guests."
- A scrawny woman says, "And I am Cynthia, Sothantos' mistress turned chicken keeper. He didn't want a mistress, it turned out."
- Carmell laughs melodically at a scrawny woman.
- Zenui snickers softly to himself.
- Antonius says in a refined, educated voice, "You're not exactly his type."
- Lady Talarna says, "Oh. Well. That makes sense."
- A scrawny woman sneezes again.
- Lady Talarna moves a little closer to Zenui and grips the hilt of her sword uneasily.
- Zenui nods his head at Lady Talarna.
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light shudders slightly, edging away from the scrawny woman.
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light says, "Tesha, you said this wedding would have some decorum."
- A scrawny woman eyes up Talarna's sword and moves swiftly to cling at Echald's arm firmly.
- You smile and say to Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light in a demure, mellifluous voice, "The presence of you and Giles can make up for anything, Lady Sage."
- Giles, a golden humgii grunts noncommittally.
- A scrawny woman says, "Echald will protect me. Him and his Phalanx that he has told me all about."
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light says, "Perhaps she could sit at the back. With Achilles."
- Verrucht says in an urbane voice, "That's a novel term for it."
- Verrucht says in an urbane voice, "A Phalanx."
- A scrawny woman exclaims, "That's what I said!!"
- A scrawny woman beams broadly at Verrucht.
- Lady Talarna says, "His... right."
- A scrawny woman says, "He's quite original."
- A scrawny woman says, "He swims, you know. Very well."
- Echald says in a clicking and chittering voice, "I don't swim that well, I got special shoes so I don't have to."
- Verrucht says in an urbane voice, "We're being euphemistic. Play along."
- A scrawny woman says, "Oh. I don't have shoes."
- A scrawny woman says, "They would get all dirty in the yard anyway."
- A scrawny woman lazily fans herself with the invitation letter.
- A scrawny woman says, "Do you know Halos wrote to me especially? Well, that's what the cook told me anyway. I don't read."
- You shout, "All take heed and rejoice! The wedding of Dawnlord Silas Maynard and Lord Sothantos de l'Evanoir commences! May all know the glory and honour of the Light and Fire's servants this day!"
- A scrawny woman beams broadly at Echald.
- A scrawny woman says, "Of course, the cook was pretty upset when she didn't get an invite."
- A scrawny woman says, "I've been eating parsnip porridge for a year straight."
- You see a scrawny woman yell, "Are you going to marry the Lord already, or do I have to come in there and marry him myself?"
- Lady Talarna curls her nose up and grimaces awfully.
- You blink incredulously at a scrawny woman.
- A scrawny woman beams broadly at you.
- Antonius inclines his head politely at Delphinus.
- Delphinus nods at Antonius.
- A scrawny woman says, "Oh, hello Delphinus."
- A scrawny woman says, "Been a while since I've seen you."
- A scrawny woman winks conspiratorially at Delphinus.
- Delphinus peers at a scrawny woman unscrupulously.
- Lady Talarna chokes back a laugh.
- Zuko utters a deep, rumbling laugh.
- Verrucht snickers softly to himself.
- Aisling Vallah says, "Oh dear."
- Shunsui sniggers evilly.
- Echald says to a scrawny woman in a clicking and chittering voice, "Oh, so you also knew many atavians?"
- A scrawny woman says, "Yes, but they not so keen on working in groups."
- Antonius stares implacably about himself.
- A scrawny woman says, "Erm...in chicken tending."
- Echald nods his head at a scrawny woman.
- You see the following people here:
- Achilles, Gwawr, Zuko, Verrucht, Carmell, Aldair, Echald, Antonius, Delphinus, Shunsui, Zenui, Extrum, Lachlan, Tesha
- You begin to wield a bard's harp in your left hand.
- You have emoted: Tesha delicately cradles the harp in one arm, smiling softly.
- Halos strides into the room, his gaze darting about the crowd expectantly.
- A scrawny woman smiles with self satisfaction and tightens her grip on Echald's arm.
- Motes of golden light unite into a spiralling sphere, the radiant particles coalescing into the Lightbringer.
- She is a radiant immortal, Her stark frame shrouded within a golden nimbus of light. Across alabaster flesh crawl silvery tendrils, suffusing the skin with an eerie shimmer. The living tattoo flickers and contorts, intermittently writhing into the magnificent outlines of both phoenix and dragon. Crowning a stoic visage, platinum tresses edge over Her shoulder blades, the luminous strands infused with rich flecks of incandescence. Her timeless countenance is a study of pious resolve, inky eyes awash with a fierce glow of determination. She is wearing a silken tunic of ivory, gilded with golden hues, a stained glass pendulum, a burnished girdle of solid gold, a circlet of hammered gold, a crimson-stained silken ribbon, a plain ring of polished gold, a pair of ivory gauze trousers, radiant golden boots, a suit of radiant golden armour, and a golden scabbard.
- Halos taps an oaken staff on the ground several times for quiet.
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "Welcome faithful of Targossas! Welcome honoured guests and attendees. Welcome, honoured Divine."
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "Your presence graces this happy occasion, where we celebrate this happy day. The wedding of Dawnlord Silas Maynard and Lord Sothantos de l'Evanoir."
- Aurora, the Lightbringer asks, "Has My peacock taken to meditating on the day of his own wedding?"
- Aurora raises an eyebrow questioningly.
- The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.
- Carmell gives a trillingly melodic laugh.
- Antidas chuckles softly.
- Antonius says in a refined, educated voice, "I wouldn't be surprised, my Lady."
- Echald says in a clicking and chittering voice, "It is a proud tradition, I think."
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest smiles and says, "I believe he is finishing preparations, my Lady."
- Achilles says in a calm, steady voice, "Would expect nothing less."
- Captain Delphinus Windancer, the Gatecrasher says, "Nerves."
- A scrawny woman says, "You should keep chickens instead, Lady Aurora. They don't medidate."
- Verrucht says in an urbane voice, "Gathering his thoughts, no doubt."
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "We have known these two for quite a long time, since before the fall of old Shallam when these two rose to prominence."
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "We have fought beside them and bled beside them. They are our compatriots and friends and respected leaders. Today we pay them homage and wish them the best in their union."
- Halos nods at you.
- You have emoted: Suddenly, Tesha strums a few grand, commanding chords on her harp, collecting attention towards the eastern part of the garden. She loops the notes gracefully, the pure sound lingering in the air, subtly overriding casual conversation.
- Silas arrives, following Sothantos.
- Sothantos arrives from the east.
- He is a human of medium build, standing a shade under six feet tall. Broad shouldered, his stance is upright and imposing despite his modest stature. His clear hazel eyes shine with youthful zeal, and the lines on his face suggest experience rather than weariness. Two scars mar his unremarkably plain features: one cutting diagonally through his left eyebrow, and another ragged scar on his chin that his neat goatee beard doesn't quite cover; the ghost of a scar is barely discernible on his forehead. Other scars litter his body, some pronounced, some faded, suggesting a life of battle, while the deep wrinkles in his brow show evidence of years of study and deep contemplation. His light brown hair has been carefully oiled and pulled back, tied with a single strip of midnight green leather into a neat warrior's tail. He is wearing a silver-trimmed beltloop, a wyrm hide baldric, a fine ivory shirt with fitted cuffs, royal green breeches, an emerald doublet with ivory pinstripes, a plated collar necklace of bright silver, golden hound cufflinks with onyx-stone eyes, an iridescent cloak of green peacock feathers, well-oiled gour-hide boots, an antique gryphon brooch, and a stained glass pendulum.
- He is a human of careful reserve, carrying himself with controlled, deliberate movements. At just under six feet, his angular frame is all sinew and muscle, hard from a life evidently spent in physical training. A touch of gauntness accentuates sharply chiselled features, giving the harsh cut of his face an almost cruel appearance despite the reserved joy that lights up his expression. Dark hair frames ice grey eyes, swept back with pomade in a widow's peak. He is wearing a formal grey soldier's jacket, a stiff dress shirt scented faintly of smoke, brass gryphon cufflinks, a scabbard of charcoal leather, a dark umber sword belt, pressed grey trousers, oiled leather boots, and a gleaming platinum ring.
- You have tmoted: Tesha's slender fingers slide fluidly along the strings of the harp, shifting into a graceful, flowing tune, seeming to match every step Silas and Sothantos take. The sound is light and cheerful, and she repeats a softer, grand chord to punctuate the music pleasantly.
- You have tmoted: Tesha allows the melody to loop once more, complementing the occasional grand chords and blending seamlessly. As Silas and Sothantos approach the garden, she lets the soft notes linger a few seconds before laying a finger along the strings to still them completely.
- Sothantos steps forward into the centre of the clearing, facing Zalas and Garron.
- Silas steps up beside Sothantos, adjusting his peacock cloak with a light flourish.
- Halos bows deeply, nodding towards Father Garron as he steps back.
- Zalas, Herald of Light says, "Representing Their divine will, at Their behest, my good friend Father Garron and I shall share the honour of joining together Their chosen, Silas Maynard and Sothantos de l'Evanoir."
- Zalas, Herald of Light steps forward, Father Garron at his side, turning to face the gathering.
- At a sharp nod from Zalas, Father Garron clutches his thurible, an intense look of concentration passing over his features.
- A soft keening bleeds insidiously through the room as Zalas joins Garron in prayer, a small shard of glowing light clutched in his hand.
- Silas and Sothantos draw closer together, their hands clapsed firmly and held out before Garron and Zalas.
- Like fog seeping across a lake, a hazy curtain of gold and ivory motes pools slowly around your feet. The radiant shroud grows in stature, joined at the same time by delicate threads of fire, which twine sinuously between the motes to create a warming mist of Light and Fire.
- Garron smiles softly, motioning for silence.
- Father Garron says, "As your hands are a symbol of your blessed joining together, so too shall your words to each other be witnessed by all as a measure of your undying devotion to each other."
- Father Garron says, "Speak your vows now, in the presence of Light and Fire."
- Zalas motions to Silas.
- A scrawny woman coughs softly.
- A scrawny woman says, "Weren't you going to ask if anyone objects?"
- Silas pointedly clears his throat, turning to Sothantos with a soft smile.
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "Sothantos, my love, I give my life to you."
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "I vow to be your ally in conflict and your adversary in doubt."
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "I will be the shield against your back."
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "The blade that staves away your enemies."

- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "I will walk with you to hope's end, to death's shadow."
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "To spirits fading."
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "To day's breaking."
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "I am yours and you are mine."
- Garron gestures for Sothantos to speak.
- Sothantos clears his throat quietly.
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "Silas, my love, I give my life to you."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "I vow to be your ally in conflict and your adversary in doubt."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "I will be the shield against your back."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "The blade that staves away your enemies."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "I will stand guard by your side in the night."
- The argent radiance of the moon seeps into the sky, waking the stars as darkness descends over the land.
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "The lantern that wards away the darkness."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "I will walk with you to hope's end, to death's shadow."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "To spirits fading."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "To day's breaking."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "I am yours and you are mine."
- Zalas, Herald of Light says, "We now bear witness to the exchanging of rings."
- Zalas, Herald of Light's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
- Halos sniffs loudly, bringing a lace handkerchief to his face.
- Silas gives a white gold wedding band to Sothantos.
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "With this ring, I consecrate my soul to you."
- Silas's eyes lock with Sothantos's as he slips a white gold wedding band onto his left ring finger.
- Sothantos gives a white gold wedding band to Silas.
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "With this ring, I consecrate my soul to you."
- Sothantos turns Silas's hand over in his own, slipping the wedding band onto his left ring finger.
- Sothantos puts on a white gold wedding band.
- Silas puts on a white gold wedding band.
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "In the sight of Light and Fire, I swear this on this day, and to the end of my days."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing says, "In the sight of Light and Fire, I swear this on this day, and to the end of my days."
- As one, Garron and Zalas turn to the couple, hands raised as their voices chant a mantra in tongues of old.
- Zalas, Herald of Light says, "Silas Maynard."
- Father Garron says, "Sothantos de l'Evanoir."
- Father Garron says, "Together, we bless this union, as is the will of She who is Light and He who is Righteous Fire."
- The mist snaps suddenly at the air, dainty fronds encircling the wrists of the grooms. Tightening its fiery grasp around their hands, it bonds them together, appearing to fuse into the skin momentarily.
- Finally, the vapour dissipates. Garron and Zalas sag slightly at the release of such a powerful rite.
- Zalas, Herald of Light exclaims, "It is done!"
- Father Garron exclaims, "I proclaim Sothantos and Silas bound as one by Their will!"
- Sothantos and Silas turn to face the crowd, their hands still tightly clasped as they raise their arms high in the air. The twisting scars of the bindings burn clearly around their wrists, visible for all to see.
- Zalas takes a small step back and, turning, walks back to his place in the gathering. With a small smile of satisfaction, Garron follows in his stead.
- Aurora raises a hand, the silvery tendrils of Her tattoo shimmering.
- Aurora nods at Silas.
- Halos begins to weep uncontrollably.
- Aurora nods at Sothantos.
- Lady Talarna rubs at her eyes and mutters irritably about dust.
- Carmell wraps a comforting arm around Halos.
- Aurora, the Lightbringer says, "My Rasul. Purifier of My Bloodsworn. A joining such as this shall bring great promise to the Dawnspear, for together you shall prevail. Let your love for each other strengthen your resolve. Let that strength guide Targossas forward."
- Aurora, the Lightbringer says, "The fight for Creation begins anew today. Fight strongly with Our blessing, knowing that Fire and Light shall ever be within your souls."
- A rare smile of joy crosses the face of the Lightbringer before She flicks one finger in a diagonal slash, motioning for the proceedings to continue.
- Lowering their hands, Silas and Sothantos share a brief, chaste kiss. They turn together to two small wooden cages, both flipping the latches and releasing a pair of snow white doves, a triumphant symbol of their joyous union.
- Zuko cheers wildly!
- Iridescent motes of gold and ivory erupt high above the rooftops of Targossas, illuminating the Dawnspear with radiant Light.
- You have tmoted: Tesha smiles softly, slowly gliding her fingers over the ardent strings of her harp once more. Grand chords sing forth from her harp, joyous and sweet, each note flowing gracefully into the next.
- The pyres of Targossas flare in avid reaction, roaring flames spiralling upwards in a searing column of Fire.
- You have tmoted: Tesha's fingers speed slightly, climbing higher on the harp as the jubilant song rises. The triumphant music rapidly builds to a crescendo, the pure sound radiating throughout the garden.
- A smattering of polite applause echoes across Veil's End as residents celebrate the union of the Dawnlord and his groom.
- You have tmoted: As the doves fly out of sight, Tesha's fingers slow, then stop, allowing the ardent strings to ring for a few more seconds before she stills them.
- Ribald cheers and catcalls spread through the numerous taverns on Shornwall. Dwarven workers celebrate the union of Silas Maynard and Sothantos de l'Evanoir with a flagon of ale or five.
- [Cheering and congratulating!]
- You shout, "Congratulations on the marriage of Dawnlord Silas Maynard and Lord Sothantos de l'Evanoir! Evil, Darkness, and Chaos tremble at this holy union under the Light and Fire!"
- A scrawny woman exclaims, "That was fun!"

- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says to Aurora, "And You especially of course, my Lady."
- The skies over Targossas illuminate with Fire and Light, bearing witness to the joyous union of Silas Maynard and Sothantos de l'Evanoir.

- Verrucht says in an urbane voice, "Very nice."
- Sothantos smiles softly.
- Verrucht says in an urbane voice, "I liked the shiny part at the end."
- Melodie's eyes sparkle with amusement at Verrucht.

- A scrawny woman says, "Especially shiny things I can wear."
- A scrawny woman gazes at Echald pointedly.
- Melodie smiles and says with a flowing, cultured accent, "Congratulations to you both. May you both have unending years of happiness to come."
- Silas's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
- You begin to follow Halos.
- Shunsui tilts his head to one side while looking at nothing in particular, rubs his chin, and thoughtfully mumbles "Hrm."

- Antidas peers at Shunsui unscrupulously.
- Shunsui Azon says to Antidas, "To be fair, Halos requested them."
- Wiping his eyes, Halos clears his throat and steps forward before the gathering.
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "Everyone!"
- Silas pets Giles, a golden humgii ingratiatingly.
- Echald says to a scrawny woman in a clicking and chittering voice, "I am rather low on wearable shiny things, even this earring isn't very shiny."
- A scrawny woman says, "That's okay, you can send me something shiny later."

- Aurora, the Lightbringer says, "Fight strongly, Targossas."
- A searing flame of purest ivory erupts beneath Aurora, enveloping Her in blinding illumination. When it dissipates, the Lightbringer is gone.
- You say to Giles, a golden humgii in a demure, mellifluous voice, "Would you like to come to the reception, little one?"
- You smile and say to Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light in a demure, mellifluous voice, "And you, Lady Sage?"
- Halos stares into the skies at the dissipating flame, his expression reverent.
- Lady Talarna says, "I've got to return to my duties, myself. But a life with the Templars was enough drinking and merriment to suit me forever."
- Antonius says in a refined, educated voice, "Probably best to keep Giles away from the food."
- You frown at Antonius.
- Halos flashes Lady Talarna a joyous smile.
- Silas's eyes sparkle with amusement at Lady Talarna.

- A scrawny woman says, "Yes, Suzy loves dancing. Rain dances, mostly."
- A crafty look crossing his features, a portly humgii sneaks away.
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest smiles and says, "We go."
- Lady Talarna says, "Dwarves. That's what."
- Antonius creases his brow in a frown.
- Lady Talarna mumbles incoherently.
- You follow Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest southeast to Glassed lobby.
- Halos greets Melvin, the Pavilion promoter with a sincere smile.
- Placing his hand on Halos's shoulder, Melvin, the Pavilion promoter gazes out onto the far horizon.
- Melvin, the Pavilion promoter says, "What can I do for you, handsome?"
- Halos clears his throat.
- Halos frowns at Silas.
- A scrawny woman looks long and hard at Silas, rubbing her chin thoughtfully.
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says to Silas, "I hope you are warmed up."
- You follow Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest north to Spacious ballroom.
- Echald says to a scrawny woman in a clicking and chittering voice, "How many chickens dancing does it take for rain to start pouring?"
- A scrawny woman says, "Does that mean you're moving in with us?"
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest exclaims, "Judicator!"
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "If you would, please."
- Silas peers at a scrawny woman unscrupulously.
- Sothantos peers at a scrawny woman unscrupulously.
- Carmell gives a trillingly melodic laugh.
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "Everyone please clear a space on the floor."
- Antidas says in a soft voice, "I'm afraid I cannot stay for the festivities."
- Purifier Sothantos de l'Evanoir, Lord of the Crossing asks a scrawny woman, "Remember what I said about your wages?"
- "Eep!" you scream in fright.
- Antidas says in a soft voice, "Farewell."
- A scrawny woman says, "Let me put that another way."
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "It is time for the married couple to begin their marital dance!"
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "The first of many to come."
- A scrawny woman says, "Hooray for Silas, who the cook really really likes, and will be staying with us for a while and we shall all be merry and happy."
- A scrawny woman gulps nervously at Sothantos.
- Sothantos nods at a scrawny woman.
- Delphinus backs politely toward the edge of the room.
- Silas smiles and nods at a scrawny woman.
- Halos smiles smoothly before stepping back next to you, giving you the signal.
- Echald says in a clicking and chittering voice, "Is there rain involved in marital dancing, too?"
- You purse your lips, deep in thought.
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest says, "Only sweat."
- You say in a demure, mellifluous voice, "Dancing music, mm?"
- A scrawny woman says, "Only if there are chickens involved."
- You say in a demure, mellifluous voice, "I will need a mandolin."
- Halos stares implacably at you.
- You say to Halos in a demure, mellifluous voice, "A harp is not good for the dancing."
- You have emoted: Tesha nods her head, matter-of-factly.
- You ponder the situation.
- You say in a demure, mellifluous voice, "One moment."
- [Me running to get a mandolin!]
- You nod your head emphatically.
- You begin to wield a bard's mandolin in your left hand.
- Antonius says to Silas in a refined, educated voice, "Misplaced would suggest it wasn't intentional."
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light smiles craftily.
- Echald says to a scrawny woman in a clicking and chittering voice, "That sounds good, I'll bring an umbrella."
- You flash Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light a joyous smile.
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light says, "Oh dear, I lost him. Oh.. no.."
- Shunsui Azon says, "We might be minus a city soon with an extra humgii wandering around."
- Aldair smirks at Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light.
- Silas frowns and nods at Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light.
- Daeir's eyes sparkle with amusement at Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light.
- Dawnlord Silas Maynard, Grace of the Lightbringer says, "What a pity."
- Halos Vorondil, Caefir Priest whispers to you, "We have a firepit with your name on it after this wedding is over."
- Halos smiles sweetly at the gathering, nodding placatingly.
- You look confused and whisper to Halos in a demure, mellifluous voice, "I cannot play music in a firepit."
- Verrucht says in an urbane voice, "You could, briefly."
- Delphinus nods at Verrucht.
- You have emoted: Tesha clears her throat abruptly.
- You have tmoted: Lifting her mandolin, Tesha strums a low, sombre note, slender fingers plucking strings up and down the musical scale.
- You have tmoted: Singular notes knit together into a series of chords, delicate arpeggios rising and falling like the breeze. Tesha pauses abruptly, eliciting a sense of loss, the echoes reverberating in the silence like memories.
- Sothantos steps into the centre of the dance floor, offering Silas his hand.
- Silas follows Sothantos and takes his hand, turning a slow circle around him as he places his hand
- on his waist.
- You have tmoted: Striking soft notes, Tesha begins playing, warm, simple tones budding slowly in the quiet.
- Lifting his flute to his lips, Halos pauses as he listens to the revitalised melody. With a smile, he begins a steady counter-rhythm which contrasts your melody, slow at first, then higher in pitch and more lively.
- Warm strings and bright winds suddenly rise harmonically, and the quartet of musicians join in energetically, inspired by the harmonious reverie. Undertones and overtones blend flawlessly, and a rhythmic dancing song emerges.
- Sothantos pulls Silas forwards as the music rises, turning him quickly in a series of graceful circles. The steps are simple and circular, his feet tapping against the tiled floor in time with the beat.
- A scrawny woman leans her head on Echald's shoulder and smiles as she watches the dancers.
- As they spin around the floor, Silas leans them forward and back with the rhythm of the music, dipping and raising their clasped hands.
- The cheerful melody of the mandolin continues on as the pair dance, the cellos and violins accompanying its merry play, drums beating rhythmically in time.
- Breaking away with a quick swing as they approach the centre again, Sothantos lets go of Silas's hand and steps back. He raises one hand in the air and draws a pirouette.
- Silas raises his arm, mirroring Sothantos's pirouette. His hands drop to his hips but his feet never still, heels clacking out an easy rhythm on the tiled floor.
- Cocking his head, Sothantos thumps back, his hands similarly falling to his hips. He circles with a side-step, working out a response with his feet as he bounces a little stiffly to the music.
- The darker melodies of the strings are again supplemented richly by the brisk urgency of Halos's flute. The violinist erupts into a tremulous vibrato in response, graceful strings chasing the jubilant twang of Tesha's mandolin.
- Lifting his hands, Silas skips back in towards Sothantos, clasping both of his hands in his own before quickly stepping back and letting go of his left hand.
- You have tmoted: Tesha shoots a glance at Halos. The twining melodies hasten, conveying a sense of immediacy as each note seems to provoke another movement.
- Halos smiles pleasantly.
- His shoulders tensed, Sothantos swings Silas around counter-clockwise, one arm held high in the air as his feet move more quickly now to match up with the faster pace of the drums.
- The insistent sussuration of cello and violin meet betwixt the wavering melodies, a panoply of timbre and pitch weaving into new complexities of sound.
- Echald glances at the scrawny woman and chuckles with a slight smile, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
- As they swap hands, Silas spins them clockwise. He raises his right hand high in the air this time as he lifts his chin, peacock cloak flying behind him in a swirl of green and blue.
- Echald says in a clicking and chittering voice, "I am intimidated by the dancing caliber."
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light surreptitiously checks the room for an alcoholic beverage.
- Sothantos pulls himself back into Silas, catching his waist with his free hand before pushing him back out, letting go as he quickly turns.
- A scrawny woman says, "That's okay. I don't know much about this kind of dancing anyway."
- Spinning rapidly around the ballroom, Sothantos and Silas's feet are lifted high as they prance to the quickened beat, drawing each other in and breaking apart. The intensity of song rises to crescendo around them, spurring them on.
- Breaking apart one last time as the dance draws to its dramatic conclusion, Silas kicks his legs into the air and stamps his feet in a dazzling display of footwork. He comes to rest staring challengingly at Sothantos, one hand held high and the other reaching out.
- Sothantos's feet strike the ground loudly in synchronization with Silas's as he snaps his arm back in the same pose, the sound resonating loudly. He meets Silas's gaze evenly, a wolfish smile threatening at the corners of his mouth despite his attempts at solemnity.
- With the last strike of their feet, the music abruptly ends, the last lingering notes echoing throughout the room.
- Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light exclaims, "Where's the wine!"
- Carmell cheers wildly!
- Silas grins mischievously at Sothantos.
- Shunsui nods his head at Berunis Fitherton, Sage to the Light.
- A wry smile flits across Aldair's lips.
- Echald says to a scrawny woman in a clicking and chittering voice, "Did you master the lost art of the chicken dance?"
- Sothantos bows slightly and, in a fluid motion, gently takes Silas's hand and brushes his lips over it.
- Silas rolls his eyes fondly.
- Sothantos straightens, looking faintly sheepish.
- Silas leans into Sothantos and kisses him long and tenderly.
- Daeir's eyes sparkle with amusement at Sothantos.
- Halos lays his flute aside, hastily coming to his feet breathlessly.
- A scrawny woman says, "Well, Suzy is much better at the rain dance than me. But I'm going to keep working on it a bit, and maybe I'll get better."
- Daeir applauds loudly, a smirk dominating his features.
- You say in a demure, mellifluous voice, "Lovely dancing, you two!"
- You whisper to Aldair in a demure, mellifluous voice, "Peacock was an extremely fitting name, dear sister."
- Sir Zenui Ruthras, Mnemosyne Templar smiles and says, "Very good, both of you."
- Echald claps his hands together merrily.
- Smirking faintly, Silas turns to the audience and dips into a shallow bow.
- The loud baying of a hungry humgii resounds from a nearby garden, accompanied by the sound of rustling, and then loud chewing.
