- Aitox arrives from the north.
- Aitox peers at you unscrupulously.
- Aitox Ravensong says to you, "Those swords."
- You are wielding a blade wreathed in cerulean flame in your left hand and an icy blade of cerulean steel in your right hand.
- You beam broadly.
- Lord of the Morning, Shunsui Azon says, "They're gorgeous."
- You smile and say, "You like them, too?"
- Aitox nods his head in agreement.
- You display a blade wreathed in cerulean flame for all in the room to see.
- You display an icy blade of cerulean steel for all in the room to see.
- Lord of the Morning, Shunsui Azon whispers to Aitox, "I told him they were prettier than my wife...I still think they are."
- Saria peers at Shunsui unscrupulously.
- Aitox snickers softly to himself.
- Shunsui looks up into the air for divine inspiration.
- Aitox Ravensong says to Shunsui, "I was going to comment, then I noticed Saria's presence."
- Shunsui looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
- Narojia, the frost wyrm stands a bit taller, pride seeming to exude from her glistening scales.
- Aitox Ravensong says to you, "But yes, they are magnificent."
- L Aitox-
- He is a human. Neither scar nor blemish mars the deeply tanned skin of this man, only wrinkles
- around his eyes hinting at a blithe demeanour. Shimmering eyes digest the world unperturbed, the reflections of daily life mirrored in his clear, charcoal irises. An exotic specimen of sorts, he exhibits long, dark lashes and pronounced eyebrows. The remainder of his features are not particularly inviting, yet completes the charisma that his visage undeniably portrays. Deep dimples are situated on a strong angular jaw, the shadowy vestiges of a beard adding a rugged counterpoint to his otherwise youthful appeal.
- He is wearing:
- a luxurious black top hat,
- a distinguished vest of turquoise blue silk,
- a pair of steel-buckled black leather boots,
- classic tuxedo trousers of deep ebon hue,
- a handsome tuxedo jacket of a deep ebon hue,
- a symbolic band of polished obsidian,
- a handsomely tailored black dress shirt,
- 2 snake rings carved from bone, and
- a canvas backpack
- You say to Aitox, "You're. Um. Looking well."
- You say to Aitox, "Not that you aren't, usually!"
- You ponder the situation.
- Lord of the Morning, Shunsui Azon says, "Just tell him he's cute, sheesh."
- Aitox Ravensong laughingly says to you, "Stop blushing, boy."
- You exclaim defensively in a sullen voice, "I'm not blushing!"
- Aitox Ravensong whispers to Shunsui, "Chord knows he's my boy-crush."
- "Ooohhhhhhhhhh," says Shunsui.
- Lord of the Morning, Shunsui Azon whispers to Aitox, "What does that make me then?"
- Aitox Ravensong says to Shunsui, "Just a slut on the side."
- Aitox gives Shunsui a peck on the cheek.
- Comprehension flashes across Shunsui's face.
- You say in a slightly flustered voice, "I was just trying to make small talk. I knew I should have paid more attention to Kog."
- Aitox grins mischievously at you.
- Aitox Ravensong asks you, "When are you posting that book of yours?"
- You laughingly say to Shunsui, "He has a point, who aren't you flirting with in the city??"
- Aitox looks at you hopefully.
- Shunsui looks about himself, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
- Lord of the Morning, Shunsui Azon says to you, "I only flirt with Aitox and my wife...and my other wife."
- You say to Aitox, "I just need to speak with the librarian about protocol for submitting a work!"
- Aitox Ravensong says to you, "There is no protocol. Make a copy and give it to Azzad for submission."
- Disbelief crossing his face, Chord offers Shunsui a devilish grin as he says, "Suuuuuuuuuuure."
- Comprehension flashes across your face.
- You say, "Sir Azzad was the one who approved my book for my house requirements, so I guess I just need to make another copy!"
- Aitox flashes you a quick thumbs up.
- You step down off of Narojia, the frost wyrm.
- An involuntary flush rises to Chord's cheeks as he puts his back to Shunsui, facing Aitox as he speaks.
- You ask Aitox in a nonchalant voice, "Would you wanna go get something to eat, perhaps?"
- A Priestess of the Guard speaks in a low, soft whisper to her hidden angel.
- A Priestess of the Guard speaks in a low, soft whisper to her hidden angel.
- Chord throws a Priestess of the Guard a dirty look as he mumbles something about gossiping beneath his breath.
- Aitox Ravensong says delightfully to you, "I think I shall; quite famished in fact."
- Aitox begins to follow you.
- Shunsui claps his hands together merrily.
- Lord of the Morning, Shunsui Azon says, "Adorable."
- Aitox shoots a withering look of disapproval at Shunsui.
- You say to Shunsui, "Oh hush, or you'll see how pretty my blades FEEL."
- The corners of Shunsui's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.
- Saria Ackart-Sparrow says to you, "Please show him."
- You beam broadly at Saria.
- You shuffle your feet uneasily.
- You give the world a smart salute.
- Aitox follows you to A well-lit atrium.
- The door to the east slams shut.
- Nirah, the hostess waits here, looking chic and friendly. A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground. A crisp, folded menu rests on a nearby table.
- Nirah, the hostess exclaims, "Hello there, Chord! Hope you stay for a meal!"
- Aitox greets Nirah, the hostess with a sincere smile.
- Nirah, the hostess says, "How do you like that painting over there? Antique, that one."
- Nirah, the hostess inspects her nails, buffing them slightly.
- Aitox Ravensong says to Nirah, the hostess, "We need to update your interior, dear."
- Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.
- You ask Aitox, "Do you have a preference of where to sit?"
- Aitox Ravensong smiles and says to you, "I do not, Chord."
- You lower your head respectfully before Nirah, the hostess.
- Aitox follows you to A breezy patio.
- Chord pulls out a bamboo chair, offering it to Aitox.
- Aitox takes a seat, inclining his head as a thank you.
- Aitox sits on a bamboo chair.
- Chord moves to a bamboo chair sitting opposite of Aitox, pulling it out to seat himself.
- You attempt to sit on a bamboo chair but find no room and fall clumsily to the ground.
- Aitox Ravensong says to you, "You know..."
- You utter a deep, rumbling laugh.
- The corners of Aitox's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.
- A deep red flush filling his cheeks, Chord stands and moves to sit in a bamboo
- chair once more.
- Aitox Ravensong laughingly says to you, "Luckily, first impressions aren't lasting with me."
- You say playfully to Aitox, "I blame you, you had to start to speak and distract me."
- Aitox Ravensong says to you, "And I was about to say that I am rather nervous - all of a sudden - but I do believe your little act there just broke the ice."
- Aitox smirks as he folds his hands together on the table.
- You laughingly say, "I'm glad that I could be of service, although I'm usually not so much for
- comedic relief."
- Aitox leans back in his chair, the vestiges of a grin disappearing to a pleasant smile.
- Aitox Ravensong asks, "You have been well then, I gather?"
- Chord nods to Aitox as he leans back in his chair slightly, "Very well! Not as busy as I would have hoped, but been making some progress in my training. How has the glamorous life of
- Minister been?" Chord asks, with a winning smile.
- Aitox chuckles lightly at the use of the word 'glamorous' as he folds a square across his chest and retorts, "It would be more fantastical if I had more active, diligent individuals, such as yourself, Chord."
- Aitox Ravensong says, "Apart from that little hiccup, this are going slow for the Ministry of
- Culture as we're stalling things in preparation for the year 600 AF events by the Garden."
- Obviously taking delight from the attention, Chord bites the left side of his lip at the small compliment from Aitox. Chord tilts his head to the left, asking, "How could an active individual such as myself help a struggling Minister in need?"
- Aitox grins as he gauges your reaction carefully, he playfully mocks you by biting the left side of his own lip, "Nothing at the moment, as I said, the rush of activity is over, but I daresay your time for creative passions... will rise sooner than later."
- Releasing the side of his lip from the involuntary clutch of his teeth, Chord turns his attention to an elegant menu with renewed interest spurred on by yet another attack of colour to his face. "You'll have to let me know when I can help." He flips the menu around so Aitox can examine it. "What sounds appealing? I do remember hearing you say you were famished."
- Aitox trails his index finger down the menu, softly murmuring the dishes out of habit. His eyes
- fleetingly travel up and meet yours over the menu, he winks devilishly before sitting back and
- casually states, "Salmon with steamed vegetables has always been one of my favourites."
- You beam broadly.
- You smile and say to Samel, the server, "I think I'll have the Capel with Meatballs, and a Salmon with steamed vegetables for my charismatic date."
- You give the gold sovereigns to Samel, the server.
- Samel, the server jots down your order for a salmon fillet.
- Samel, the server jots down your order for a dish of Capel.
- A young man strides in and sets down a large, ornate plate with a tender salmon fillet.
- A young man strides in and gives you a large, hearty plate of Capel and meatballs.
- You give a plate of Salmon Zephar to Aitox.
- Aitox Ravensong says to you, "Thank you very much."
- Chord sits a plate of capel and meatballs on the bamboo table, encouraging Aitox to dig in with a smile.
- Aitox places his plate of salmon on the table, too, and gingerly takes a bite.
- Aitox closes his eyes savouring the taste.
- Aitox Ravensong says softly, "Just as good as I remember it to be."
- Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.
- Aitox takes another quick bite, before putting his fork down on the side of the plate. "So tell me more about this recent news post of yours; what inspired it?"
- Chord takes a bite from his plate, wiping his mouth gently before he speaks. "I was genuinely troubled by what the Overseer said. Any military man would know that we've been no competition for his forces since the departure of Calleis, Ellodin, and Destar to Eleusis -- that was hardly the issue that troubled me. But he said that our youth was bitter and dispassionate -- that the very people who should be learning about our philosophy are those who know the least. That bothered me, and I felt partially to blame. I know that I could be more active in trying to help others, and I worry sometimes that I am too self-centered so I let my duties slip to the wayside."
- Chord looks deeply into his plate, looking past the object in front of his face. "I guess I feel it's time for me to actually amount to something, instead of just talking about my dreams. The post, I felt, was the first step."
- Aitox pushes his plate gently to the side, reaches over and takes one of your hands in his own,
- "Your post has done more than you can think, Chord. It starts with a seed of hope; later, a fully grown tree of strength and devotion flourishes before you. You did good with that post."
- Chord smiles as he slides his thumb across the back of Aitox's hand in his own. "I did have a role model, so I'm not blazing my own trail, yet." A shy smile spreads across Chord's face as he brings his eyes up to meet Aitox's.
- Aitox squeezes your hand lightly, before letting his own slide away to rest on the table before him once more. A naughty grin spreads across lips, "So once you've united the whole of the Jewel under this banner of hope of yours, what praytell, will this Protector of the Innocent then do?"
- A serious look mixes in with a confident smile on Chord's face as he matter-of-factly states, "Well, I have to be Knighted and become Caliph before I can think about what to do next." He chuckles lightly, offering, "Granted, that's a far ways away, so I still have some time for dates with a certain someone."
- Aitox laughs heartily at your words, reaching over the table and giving you a 'manly' pat on the shoulder, "You know, we should spend more time together. I daresay you are a stress-reliever of note and I really enjoy your company."
- You have tmoted: Chord smiles broadly and nods his head, "What can I say? I'm good people, my family raised me right." He stretches his arms to the side, and makes to stand.
- You stand up and stretch your arms out wide.
- The corners of Aitox's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.
- You have tmoted: Chord offers an elbow to Aitox, asking, "Anywhere I can escort you to? I think I know how I want to end my sermon, now, so I should probably stay busy."
- Aitox takes your arm, "To Fish street, please, most chivalrous one", and flashes you a grin as he does so.
- Aitox stands, leaving his place on a bamboo chair.
- You beam broadly.
- Aitox follows you to Fish Street.
- Aitox beams broadly at you.
- Chord releases Aitox's arm from his elbow, and bows to Aitox with a smile. "I had a great time. Do let me know when you need any help, Minister."
- You easily vault onto the back of Narojia, the frost wyrm.
- Aitox Ravensong says to you, "Likewise, be well Chord."
- Aitox bows respectfully to you.
- You lower your head respectfully.
