- A pale young girl with black hair tied with a green bow ran out of the house. Screaming and shattering plates could be heard from her household. A man and a woman were arguing as per usual. Her white and green dress flowing as she dashed into a doorway in a panic. The room lit up, and she found herself elsewhere.
- "Where...am I?" She spoke with a soft voice, and just as softly breathing onto her glasses to clean them. She placed them back onto her face and deliberately analyzed the room.
- The room she found herself in was definitely not a standard building. This room had dirt all over the place, grey bits of metal platforming lay underneath. Lit by torches, she noticed strange murals on the walls. Randomly scattered and shattered rocks were piled nearby. She looked up and noticed the number "1" on a flag above.
- "Hello? Hellooooo?" She called, not raising her voice by much. She didn't want her parents knowing where she had hid. She'd probably get in trouble and get the belt again. She looked straight ahead and noticed a set of stairs. She cautiously looked around the ornate arches with a skull centered at the top. She looked back, and the door she entered disappeared.
- "U-uhm...okay..." She barely mumbled. She walked forward.
- The next room was the same, only with the number "2" on the flag. As she emerged the doorway disappeared. She continued calling as she kept going upward, the stairs seeming to last forever. She saw many things on the way up, large pieces of statues, full-blown statues of women, men, and so forth.
- She kept soldiering on, and on, and on. Until she came to floor "50". There was working machinery and a window. She could see the heavens, day and night cycles passed absurdly fast. Her worry escalated, and so did her pace. No longer did she hold a meek and curious pace, but one of urgency. She'd be in so much trouble if she was missing for days! The floors kept coming, until floor 100. There, she emerged on top of the tower.
- The world around her was black as the night sky. Stars were clearly visible, and clouds surrounded the zenith of the tower as far as she could see. There was no wind, no chill, no warmth. She couldn't feel anything up here. It was even hard to tell what emotion she felt. Fear, enthusiasm, sadness, frustration, relief, none of them were really..."there".
- "WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?" A voice that radiated dark echoed amongst the clouds.
- She looked around, and passively acknowledged the robed skeleton that seemed to emerge from out of the floor in front of her. They had blue eyes, a small gold chain around their neck emblazoned with a myriad of gems from across the world-no, dimensions. This being radiated a strange untraceable presence. Her emotions muted, she only had one question to ask.
- "My name is Naomi, is this your house?" She spoke, devoid of emotion.
- "YES. YOU HAVE BEEN INFLUENCED BY THIS TOWER. HOW DID YOU DEFEAT MY GHOSTS?"
- "Ghosts?" She tilted her head "There were none on the way here."
- "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!" Anger permeated the spirit's tone.
- "WHAT DO YOU THINK I MEAN?! THERE WERE NONE!" The girl replied, mimicking their tone.
- "FUCKING DAMMIT ALL! AAAAAAAAAAIIEEE-" The creature bellowed, screeching an inhuman sound.
- She blocked her ears, bearing the same rage as the odd being. Mists rose from the clouds and surrounded them. The spirit disappeared, but the girl remained. Something changed and stirred within her, but she could not tell what. She clutched her chest, perplexed at what just happened. A rumbling sensation, the tower began leaning. She screamed, and found herself atop the clouds. She steadied her breath, poking and prodding their new platform.
- "But...this is c-cloud!" She stated in wide-eyed disbelief. She slowly got to her feet and cautiously started walking around. She stomped and even jumped on the cloud in experimentation. She started to enjoy her time but she remembered her situation all too quickly.
- "Uh...uhm....how am I supposed to get down...?!" She spoke, noticing the same mist from before. It poured from her breath, and a gush from her heart. The mists tore through the clouds, darkening the section of cloud she was on. Her platform began its descent.
- She looked down, the tower seemingly disappeared from existence. She just didn't bother questioning it, considering how she was more worried about staying on the cloud. She worked up the courage to look down. Rain could be seen coming from the dark cloud while it descended. The darkened city lights could be seen from her view beyond that of any bird's. She backed away from the edge of her platform, and laid down face-up. The stars were just as bright as before.
- "I...climbed up a lot didn't I?" She said softer than usual, sleep overtaking her.
