[22:22] <zoofman> And Dahlia has dragged a few of you to a very special place. A very classy, upscale establishment in Red Blade City proper. The sort of place you take your grandmother for her birthday dinner
[22:22] <zoofman> The Baby Spheal Club.
[22:25] <zoofman> Which honestly isn't entirely that bad, the bar taps are sort of terribly crude though. They look like big hammers that pour beer and the cups are spheal shaped. Other than that it's a pretty average bar.
[22:25] <zoofman> Dahlia plops down at the bar. "Two bhlue moohns!" Then turns to you guys. "Want anythin'? My tahb."
06[22:27] * Rosetta is likely still dragging Annette along. She lifts her hand and along with it Annette's. "Somethin' girly and fruity for Annette. Maybe a pomeg margarita?"
06[22:30] * Genevieve is dressed appropriately for the bar, wearing a tied off Thundercry North High shirt and some cut offs. "I'm gonna need, like, three Black Russians to start."
[22:30] <zoofman> "Righto! Two Orange Island Ice Teas!" Oh dear.
01[22:30] <Saryx> "Start me off with a Meteor Masher, Dahlia!" Saryx seems pretty goddamn psyche, as much a shithole as this place is. And on his person, he's got himself some huge-ass sack that... Really doesn't look like much more than an oversized trash bag. He plops himself down along with the rest of everyone.
[22:32] <zoofman> Annette plops down next to Rosetta at the counter, she seems pale and meek. Probably Rosetta's fault. Also here is Peyote and Saxton himself, though they seem to be farther down the bar talking to a bit older crowd. Seems Chase and his buds went their own way for the moment.
[22:34] <zoofman> The bartender takes the orders and starts placing drinks around for all. Dahlia hands over a credit card and holds up both her spheal mugs for a cheers. "Here's to spendin' this weekend in a dahmp, steahmin jungle!"
[22:35] <Rosetta> "Oh uh, poor man's black velvet for myself." Rosetta gets her own order in a tad late.
[22:35] <Rosetta> "C'mon Annette, look a bit cheerier, yeah?" She turns. "Hey, it's Dahlia, yeah? Don't tell me none of you took Annette to a bar before this."
01[22:38] <Saryx> Saryx eyes the cups with an intense curiosity. He seems far more enthused by the fact the cup's shaped like an adorable Spheal than the fact he's got liquor on hand for the first time in... Two years and change? "These cups are amazing~ ... But yeah, what's up with Annette? She looked like she'd seen a ghost or something ever since we left the meeting room."
[22:39] <zoofman> Annette is more staring down the two very strong, if girly, drinks in front of her. She picks one up carefully to meet Dahlia's cheers. "Courhse we 'ave. Dunno what's got 'er all timid, but these sphirits should fix that!"
[22:40] <Kain> As far as silly drinks with move names, Chase probably ordered a Rock Wrecker.
[22:40] <Kain> but that was elsewhere.
05[22:44] <zoofman> "So what's in the bag here anyway, Saryx?" Dahlia nods to it.
06[22:44] * Rosetta turns back to Annette then, tilting her head. She takes one of the drinks and shoves it into Annette's hand, then grabs the other. "C'mon, I'll drink with you then." She clinks the glass against Annette's and then raises it expectantly.
01[22:46] <Saryx> "I'd hope so, myself~" he says as he brings his own mug to the choir of clangs. "Oh, the bag? I brought your order with me!" The shape of the bag looks kiiinda like it's holding a jumbonormous broomstick or something inside.
[22:47] <zoofman> Annette nods slowly and starts to drink it slowly at first. She makes a face as she puts it down. "Bleeeeh. Sour."
[22:48] <zoofman> Dahlia finishes chugging one of her drinks, bangs it on the counter before she looks over to it. "Oho, deedja now?" She grabbyhands at the package. "I cahn open it thehn right?"
05[22:49] <Rosetta> "Oh c'mon! Here, try this then." Rosetta pushes the poor man's to her. "What'd you get the last time you were at the bar?" She briefly turns to glance at what the fuck Saryx brought to the bar but then turns back to Annette.
01[22:49] <Saryx> Saryx raises a hand to Dahlia to hold that thought a second as he chugs his own drink down, at a pace that equals hers. A bit of effort to get it down, but none too much suffering. "Sure thing, Dahlia! I really really think you're gonna like this!"
01[22:50] <Saryx> He slides the bag over to her carefully, watching with a great deal of anticipation for her reaction.
[22:51] <zoofman> She sips that. "Much better! And...uh...uuuh..."
[22:52] <zoofman> "...I dunno! Miracle always picks for me. Last time it was red and had a little umbrella in it..."
06[22:52] * Rosetta glugs down half the orange island ice tea.
06[22:52] * Genevieve hammers back one of the Black Russians and points the empty glass at Annette. "You don't really look like the drinking type, it's fine. None of you do, actually."
[22:53] <zoofman> Dahlia shreds it open like it's friggen Christmas!
01[22:53] <Saryx> "Says who, Gen?!?" He seems pretty confident with that statement, giving Gen only the minimal amount of attention necessary to finish that statement before gluing his focus right back on Dahlia.
[22:54] <Genevieve> "I'm a professional student, I've been around a lot of drinks."
[22:54] <Rosetta> "Put up or shut up, Gen." Rosetta grins. "Tequila. Shots. Five." She calls after the bartender.
01[22:55] <Saryx> As she tears the bag off, the first thing she sees is a golden paw; as the shaft is revealed, Dahlia sees it's a light blue, with navy thunderbolts running across it. As she gets to the bottom, she finds not a spearhead, but rather a Luxray's head, in an astonishing amount of detail. ... Materials might be a bit cheesy and clearly fake, but once you get past that it really does capture the visage of a Luxray quite well! It looks more a piece of art than it does a weapon, though.
[22:55] <Rosetta> "That kinda figures, Annette. Hmm..." She nudges Annette's ice tea closer to her again. "At least finish this. Don't want to waste Dahlia's money, yeah?"
01[22:56] <Saryx> "So? So?!? What do you think, Dahlia?!?" His eyes are practically stars right now.
01[22:57] <Saryx> "Oh, and another Meteor for me, please!" He calls out not too long after Rose.
[22:59] <zoofman> Dahlia inspects it thoughtfully, smiling at the paintwork, but when she flips it over to inspect the head she seems confused. "What exachtly is it?"
06[22:59] * Genevieve holds up her shot of tequila to Rosetta, then drinks it with a minimal sour face.
01[23:00] <Saryx> "It's the spear you asked me to make for... Oh, oh right! I got to show you! Hand it back here for a second!"
[23:00] <zoofman> Annette takes the ice tea back. "I probably don't, no...mama and papa certainly wouldn't approve. Only wine on certain holidays, and only one glass." She sips it again.
06[23:00] * Rosetta downs her own as well, with a bit more of a grimace, then nudges Annette.
[23:00] <zoofman> "It's not -bad-, just sour."
[23:00] <zoofman> The tequila she eyes with distrust. "Dahlia says this stuff makes your cloths melt off!"
06[23:01] * Rosetta shoots Dahlia a look, eyebrow raised.
[23:01] <zoofman> Dahlia, nods, handing it back to you but hovering closely
[23:01] <Genevieve> "Not until you get to like shot four or five."
01[23:02] <Saryx> "Actually, one sec on that, Dahlia!" He takes his tequila and downs it. Tequila? Ain't really his taste, but he powers through. He makes some kind of noise expressing his distaste for it and shakes his head. "... Yeah, those... Really don't taste too good, Razor..."
[23:02] <zoofman> "I-if you say so..." The bartender watches this and shakes his head, giving her a lime slice and a salt shaker. He explains the whole lick the salt, shot, bite lime thing.
01[23:02] <Saryx> Oh wait, we weren't supposed to... Whoops.
[23:03] <zoofman> Annette goes through with the motions, her eyes go wide when she takes the shot and man does that lime go in quick. "Whywudyoudwinkdisssss." lime still in her mouth.
06[23:04] * Rosetta giggles. "Aw, you haven't changed a bit, Annette. It's not that bad, is it?"
[23:05] <Genevieve> "Be careful, she might be trying to get you drunk to do something lewd." Gen chuckles into her second Black Russian.
[23:05] <zoofman> "She IS lewd! Making me read about p...p...p..."
[23:05] <Genevieve> "Penises?"
[23:05] <zoofman> Dahlia is too fixated on this spear of sorts to notice -any- of this.
01[23:05] <Saryx> Anyways, Saryx takes the oversized broomstick back. "Spears aren't really as good for having safety holsters as swords are... The shape of the blade usually isn't suited for it." He reaches inside the back of the Luxray's head. So I figured I'd make one with a little bit more ferocity to it!" At the utterance of 'ferocity', he yanks down on the Luxray's head; it slides back, and the mouth bursts open, revealing a nice, shiny, intricately designed, and most importantly, quite sharp and painful looking blade on the inside.
[23:06] <zoofman> Annette about faints.
[23:06] <Rosetta> "Hey, hey, you're 18 now! You've gotta learn about those things. Geez, even I went through sex ed before I left."
01[23:06] <Saryx> "Is she talking about Pomf the Magic Dragonite? What's she even talking about?!? That show's hardly lewd at all compared to Mighty Moe Meduka Rangers!"
01[23:07] <Saryx> He says that with a complete serious face to the girls on the other side of the table.
01[23:07] <Saryx> And gives Annette the ultimate look of disappointment.
[23:07] <zoofman> Dahlia 'ooooooh's "Now this is a tounge ya wouhldn't want insihde ya." She guffaws as Annette just. just. well she returns to the ice tea.
05[23:07] * Rosetta stares at Saryx.
[23:08] <Genevieve> "In the interest of not having Chase try to yell at me again, I'm just going to...yeah..."
01[23:09] <Saryx> "... What?!?" Saryx blankly stares at the two. "... Did I say something wrong?"
06[23:11] * Rosetta turns back to her drink and sips at it.
05[23:11] <zoofman> "Can't believe ya made this on a budget like that! Best lookin' spear I've seen since I came to this region!" She takes the shot as she pulls her wallet back out, roping an arm around Saryx's neck all buddy buddy. "You weren't kiddin' at all bout your work, so..."
05[23:12] <Rosetta> "Uh, Saryx, you think it's a good idea to bring a spear to a bar?"
06[23:12] * Rosetta finally notices what exactly that stick was.
[23:12] <zoofman> She pulls out the cost to craft the spear, and additional $1,000 hands it over to you. "Can't wait to shiskabob some poohr sonofabitch!"
[23:15] <zoofman> You -are- getting some odd looks, specially from a bouncer, but Dahlia fiddles with it to retract the blade and the attention wanes a bit.
01[23:15] <Saryx> "I toooold you, I learned from the best blacksmith in all of Visiwhooooooooooa~" Saryx proclaims pridefully as he gets pulled over to Dahlia's side. He then looks at Razor. ... Then to the spear. Back to Rose. Once more to the spear. "... I'm gonna... Just put the safety back on this thing real quick, okay Dahlia?" He pauses in thought before--Oh, covered.
01[23:15] <Saryx> Damnit, Saryx wanted to show Dahlia how to properly handle her spear.
[23:18] <zoofman> "Third and forth rounds, on me!" Dahlia proclaims. Annette doesn't seem to like the sound of this, already starting to wobble to the beat of the music in here.
01[23:20] <Saryx> He reaches down to the floor, and pulls up a folder and his laptop. Seems those were in the bag, too. The folder's slid over to Dahlia. "... All of the blueprints and everything I used to make this are riiiiight in here~" He patpats the folder. "Dad and I have a lifetime guarantee on all of our weapons! ... Not that it should be necessary if you care for it properly, but if anything ever does happen, bring it right back to me and I'll fix it right back new at no cost! ... The blueprints are just in case you really can't wait, though. Any blacksmith who's trained proper should... Should be able to read those things!" He dives into his second Meteor right after. That was a mouthful, so he rewards himself with a mouthful! He's got the ill smile on right now.
01[23:21] <Saryx> "... Third's on you, too, Dahlia? ... I think I'm gonna need me something stronger than a Meteor this time!"
[23:21] <Rosetta> "Hey, not bad so far Annette!" Rosetta grins a wraps an arm around her, grabbing her next round of drinks and clinking it against Annette's glass, then letting go and glugging down a good bit of her glass.
[23:22] <Rosetta> "You're gonna pull out a laptop? At a bar?"
[23:24] <zoofman> "Think ya could hold onto those till lateh?" She nods at the folder. "If this spear is half as good as it looks, though, I'll be recommendin' ya name!"
[23:25] <zoofman> Annette seems to snap to attention. "Did shomeone shay pomf?"
01[23:26] <Saryx> "Yeah, I can hold onto 'em 'til later, Dahlia! ... And I was... I was thinking to show Dad! This is the first one I made all my own!" He staaares at Annette. Houston, we've got a problem.
[23:28] <zoofman> "Alsho um...I'm shorry about what happened to your brother, Roshetta," Annette manages awkwardly. Not the best timing after all.
[23:29] <Rosetta> "Huh? Oh, s'alright Annette! This isn't the time to worry 'bout that kind of thing, yeah?" She glugs down some more. "Just drink up and be merry, yeah?"
[23:31] <zoofman> "But it'sh sho...shad. Thish whole thing..." She starts at the next drink anyway, trying to cheer up.
01[23:32] <Saryx> "Yeah, Annette. You just gotta..." Whatever horrid abomination Saryx is receiving, it's slid in front of him and soon slid down his throat. "... You just gotta smile on through, okay? ... That's an order!"
[23:33] <zoofman> Dahlia doesn't really seem to mind that convo. "Ya know, I'm suhprised. I figured that chain o' youhrs belonged to some sweateart'."
01[23:33] <Saryx> He points straight at her. And then moves his pointed finger around the circle. "That goes for everyone! I'm making this a 'No Misery' Zone!"
[23:34] <Rosetta> "Hey Dahlia, is Annette usually a mopey drunk?"
[23:35] <zoofman> She nods at Rosetta. "Always."
[23:36] <zoofman> "Shouldha seen er' when she got er' first badge n' we celebrahted. Was somethin'."
05[23:37] <zoofman> Annette stares at Saryx. "You're -weird-."
[23:38] <Rosetta> "Oh geez. Sounds like a story." Rosetta turns back to Annette. "Alright, c'mon, cheer up some." She flags down the bartender. "Frozen mango daiquiri for her!"
[23:38] <Rosetta> "Alright, storytime?" She looks to Dahlia.
01[23:39] <Saryx> "Nah, Dahlia! I wish I had someone my eyes were set on like you do..." And then he returns focus back to Annette. "Hey, I'm not weird. You're just drunk."
[23:39] <zoofman> "Ask 'er about the Delibirds!" Dahlia tells Rosetta all cheeky
01[23:40] <Saryx> "And I told you, Annette... This is a 'No Misery' Zone! And I don't think you wanna know what happens to people in violation of the rules, do you?" He gives her a mischievous smile. "Do you?"
[23:41] <zoofman> "You can't tell me what to do! I'm an adult now!" She puffs her chest out and >:T's as she sips her drink.
[23:42] <Rosetta> "Hey Annette!" Rosetta hops a 180 in her seat like a Natu. "Tell me about the Delibirds!"
01[23:43] <Saryx> Saryx stands up, gazing down at Annette. The reflection of the lights overhead streaks across his glasses as he does. "I tried to warn you, Annette..."
[23:45] <zoofman> "They tried to give me a present, but it exploded in my face! And then Teddy got mad and ate one whole :C"
[23:45] <Rosetta> "Hah, they did that to me too, but it wasn't -that- bad, yeah?"
[23:46] <zoofman> "I wash sho embarasshed! It ate the nice General'sh helper..! I wonder if he'sh shtill upshet about it..."
[23:47] <Rosetta> "Oh you meant literally. Uh, geez."
[23:49] <zoofman> Dahlia just laughs and laughs
[23:49] <zoofman> "It picked it up and just...swallohwed it ol'."
[23:50] <zoofman> "The General gave up then n' there n' tossehed a badge down." She coughs from laughing so hard.
06[23:51] * Saryx snrks. "Did Teddy... Heheh... Did Teddy at least... *pffffft* Did he at least rotisserie it first?!?" Saryx joins Dahlia in a rather unbecoming fit of laughter.
05[23:52] <Rosetta> "Saryx, what?"

01[23:53] <Saryx> It takes Saryx a moment to calm down from laughing at such a terrible. "... Sorry, Rose, that... It just... I couldn't help myself there." :D He retreats back to a neutral, if not kinda derpy, smile.
[23:54] <zoofman> Dahlia just sorta stares confused, doesn't get it.
01[23:54] <Saryx> He thought it was a good joke. Bothy didn't.
[23:54] <zoofman> Annette seems to be repeating 'happy thoughts' quietly to herself.
05[23:55] * Rosetta glugs down more drink, not sure how to take Saryx's odd humor. "So, Annette, Dahlia, what's the juicy gossip 'round the Explorer Guild, huh?"
01[23:55] <Saryx> "... You can't eat a bird raw."
01[23:56] <Saryx> "Just thought I'd ask is all! And HEY!" He basically shouts at Annette now. "That  last warning was your last warning!" He starts moving around the table to get over to Annette.
[23:57] <zoofman> "I'm trying you...you..."
[23:58] <zoofman> "..." yeah no insult is coming to her
[23:58] <zoofman> Dahlia looks over to Rosetta thoughtfully. "Hmm..didn't take ya fo' a gossihpin' girl. Mo' ya know. Lesse here."
05[23:58] <Rosetta> "Hey, hey, lay off her, Saryx. Threatening isn't gonna make her cheer up."
01[23:59] <Saryx> Once he's in range, he looms over her as menacingly as a person with a Pathetic Intimidate score possibly can. "I told you this was a 'No Misery' zone!" He leans in closer. "Violation of the rules is punishable by..." Grabby hands in position, and... "Tickle torture!" He starts tickling Annette at her sides.

01[00:04] <Saryx> And where is Gen to yell at Saryx right now anyways?
[00:04] <zoofman> "Well you'll be meetin' da Thundacocks soon, what ya hear o' em?"
[00:05] <Rosetta> "Well, Shawyun and Lilith have got a fucking sitcom going on..." Rosetta takes out her phone and clumsily opens up to the comment exchange between the two.

01[00:06] <Saryx> Once he composes himself, he goes back and takes down one more. "... Weird. Eiric's the only other person I know who doesn't like that. ... And nice try, Annette! There's no such thing as butt disease."
01[00:07] <Saryx> He looks over at Genevieve, and spins his finger around while pointing it at his head. You know, the 'this bitch is cuckoo' gesture. "Butt disease... I thought she'd be a little more creative than that~"
[00:08] <zoofman> "Butt disease is sooooo real! Haven't you ever read a medical textbook?"
01[00:09] <Saryx> Does this place have wireless, zoof?
[00:09] <zoofman> Dahlia laughs. "Shawyun's somethin' else, n' Ben's a nice guy, hear he got engaged lately. Lillith...dun like er' much but eh. Thomas, e's the weird one."
[00:10] <zoofman> of course.
01[00:10] <Saryx> Saryx pops open his laptop, puts in his password, and spins it around to Annette. "Really? Prove it."
[00:11] <Rosetta> "Engaged, huh? To another Explorer? Hey, there a lot of dating within the Guild? And what's weird about Thomas?" She scoots closer for the gossip.
[00:12] <zoofman> Rosetta hrmfs and uses your laptop a bit, turning it back to you on a wiki article.
[00:12] <Rosetta> And then Annette and Rosetta gattai'd and became one
[00:12] <zoofman> OOPS.
01[00:12] <Saryx> Of note, on the screen, behind the blueprints, anyone with visibility can see thumbnails of Saryx' browser history from the past three days. He watches the worst anime. ... And apparently really likes Dratini! You can see image tabs of shitty fan-drawn Dratinis all over the thing.
01[00:13] <Saryx> The whole line, really, but mostly Dratinis :D They're cute as fuck.
01[00:14] <Saryx> Also some videos of them doing cute things, too.
[00:14] <zoofman> BUTT DISEASE. Caused by Butt Germs. Discovered by Teresa Vai Vetor in 1893. There's a huge case study on how this wartortle ate a hand of a Slaking, who obviously at some point scratched his butt, and developed some odd mental behaviors.

[00:18] <zoofman> "Pparently Thomas used to be lot different. Went overseas n' came back a righteous asshole. Calmed downa bit but still sorta a smart ass."
[00:18] <Rosetta> "What's up with Tilde? You had that whole big reaction to her." Rosetta glugs down more beer. "I mean, she's kind of a soulless robot from what I saw, but..."
[00:18] <zoofman> "He 'as a Poke'Ball with him with a spehcial lock on it, I hear. No one knows what's in it."
[00:18] <Rosetta> "Overseas, huh?"
01[00:19] <Saryx> It should be obvious what the results are. "Annette, that sounds nasty! Why do you want me to get Butt Disease?!?" Now he's in violation of the 'No Misery' zone.

[00:22] <zoofman> "She's just a bitch. Used to be wit another crew, but somethin' 'appened n' only she survived as I hear."

05[00:26] <Rosetta> "Of course." Rosetta glances back once at Saryx and Annette, then back to Dahlia. "So what's it like working with Annette? Poor girl seems just as sheltered as I left her a year ago." She whispers.
[00:27] <zoofman> "Eeeeh..." she seems unsure how to answer that. "It's like there's a switch on her back n' when ya click it..."
[00:28] <zoofman> "...Let's just say she's competant when she need be. Reminds me o' my nuttier cousins elsewise."
06[00:29] * Rosetta laughs. "Sounds like her. Creepy horrorterror necromancy one day...scared of getting pregnant from tickling the next." She shrugs good naturedly.
[00:33] <zoofman> "Most other gossip is more bout Gym business o' The Elite Fo'," she shrugs.
01[00:33] <Saryx> "What's even up with that, Razor?!?" Sounds like there's a storytime request in the air. "Didn't she learn about... You know..." He makes a lewd gesture with his hands to suggest 'it.' "... In school?"

[00:48] <zoofman> Dahlia sighs. "Uuugh. I'll take over when ya left off then. This'll be awkward as all hell," she grumbles as she picks up Annette to piggyback her and asks the bar tender to close her tab.
[00:49] <Rosetta> "Good luck, Dahlia. Been nice meeting you and thanks for the drinks!" Rosetta pounds down the rest of her drink, then hops off her stool. "Whoaaa." She stumbles a little.
01[00:49] <Saryx> "See ya 'round later, Dahlia!" He waves her and Annette off once he stops laughing so hard.
[00:50] <Rosetta> "I hope Annette's not too upset with me for all this. It's for her sake, honest!"
01[00:50] <Saryx> "... Wait. Wait! You forgot your spear!"
[00:51] <zoofman> "Could ya..uhm..." She seems to have her hands full, "Leave it at our room later? I'll just stay up till ya get back or leave it unlohcked."
01[00:53] <Saryx> "Sure thing, Dahlia!" He puts the spear over in the corner alongside the folder, and brings the laptop over to him.

[00:57] <zoofman> "Righto then, till later! Imagine we'll see ya befo' too long even if we're goin' seperate ways." She makes her exit with the drunkfoon
[00:58] <Rosetta> "Few more drinks, then head back?" Rosetta shrugs.
