La serie cuenta el origen (o lo re-cuenta) de las tortugas, así como los otros personajes importantes de la franquicia (April y Casey). Una trama nueva pero fiel a la verdadera historia y obra, de hecho esta más apegada a la versión original de los personajes.
Una serie muy recomendada de esta editorial, que compite junto con Locke y Key para ser el estandarte de IDW.
