- Here is what I compiled from the several posts I've searched on srk to minimize the AE PC lag I was having. From my experience the improvement was definitely noticeable. I've included my sources at the bottom of the steps list.
- Step A:
- If you have it on steam the first thing to do is disable the steam overlay:
- To disable the steam overlay:
- 1. In the steam window, go to settings
- 2. go to the "in-game" tab.
- 3. Uncheck "enable steam community in-game."
- --------
- Step B:
- Go into My Documents > Capcom > Super Street Fighter IV
- Open the file "config.ini" with notepad
- Find the line that reads "RenderingThread=ON" and change it to "RenderingThread=OFF" and save the file.
- (optional) Disable the Aero Theme for Windows 7
- --------
- Step C:
- Turn the in game vsync off and change to "fixed" Framerates
- (optional) If the screen tearing bothers you, like it does me, use D3Doverrider which is a free program that doesn't have the input delay issue that is in the game. Google rivatuner and d3doverrider is bundled with rivatuner, and you can find it in the start menu after you install rivatuner. Then you make a profile and point to the SSFIV.exe and set vsync on there, then launch the game. You can test if its working by running the benchmark software in game and see it at a stable 60max fps.
