  1. Special Tank (Gardevoir) @ Gardevoirite
  2. Ability: Synchronize
  3. Shiny: Yes
  4. EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
  5. Modest Nature
  6. - Will-O-Wisp
  7. - Hyper Voice
  8. - Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
  9. - Protect
  10.
  11. Boasting a 165 base special attack stat, Mega Gardevoir is more than capable of running an offensive set. This set is given max special attack to deal as much damage as possible, and max HP to be able to survive a physical hit and fire off a will-o-wisp if needed. Due to Mega Gardvoir's Pixilate ability, Hyper Voice gains a 1.3x boost, fairy typing, and therefore an additional STAB, making it the Mega Gardevoir's choice spread move. Focus blast in the third moveslot give Mega Gardevoir perfect neutral coverage except for some dual ghost types that really threaten Mega Gardevoir like Gengar and Aegilash, so you can opt for Shadow Ball to hit these 2 and other ghosts super effectively. Good teammates for this set include Helping Hand users like Politoed and Hitmontop who can boost the power of Hyper Voice and aren't weak to Ghost type attacks. Earth Power users like Shaymin Sky or Nidoking also make good partners if you use opt to use Shadow Ball over Focusblast, because of their ability to hit Heatran and Bisharp super effectively, who both check this set without Focus Blast.

  13. Dual Screens (Gardevoir) @ Light Clay
  14. Ability: Telepathy
  15. EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
  16. Bold Nature
  17. - Light Screen
  18. - Reflect
  19. - Moonblast
  20. - Protect / Healing Wish
  21.
  22. This set functions fairly easily: send in Gardevoir to get up screens, then switch out. Max Defense and HP allow Gardevoir to take some physical hits if required, but since Gardevoir sports only 65 base Defense you will usually want to put up Reflect before Light Screen. Moonblast is Gardevoir's best STAB move to hit one opponent and can still deal serious damage to Dragon, Dark, and Fighting types in a pinch. The 4th moveslot is a tough call, on one hand Protect gives Gardevoir some longevity. On the other hand, Healing Wish allows Gardevoir to function late game or at low health, and fully heal a teammate that can hopefully apply more offensive pressure. The best teammates for this set are Hyper Offensive "glass cannons" that can deal serious damage but have trouble surviving a hit without screen support. Deoxys-A and Talonflame are the best examples of relevant glass cannons, but really any team can function with Dual Screens Gardevoir, because every pokemon will appreciate that boost in Defenses.

  24. Special Sweeper (Gardevoir) @ Gardevoirite
  25. Ability: Telepathy
  26. EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
  27. Timid / Modest Nature
  28. - Protect / Substitue
  29. - Shadow Ball
  30. - Focus Blast
  31. - Hyper Voice
  32.
  33. If you want Gardevoir to hit as fast and as hard as possible, then give it a Mega Stone. Mega Gardevoir sports a massive 165 base special attack, and a not-too-shabby base 100 Speed. Hyper Voice is Mega Gardevoir's most powerful spread move thanks to Pixilate, and Focus Blast + Shadow Ball gives Gardevoir great super effective coverage as well as perfect neutral coverage. Substitue protects Mega Gardevoir from status, particularly paralysis which cripples it, so the choice between status protection, and longevity is yours. A timid nature allows you to outspeed Modest/Adamant non Scarfed Salamence variants and OHKO with Hyper Voice, but if you want to deal even more damage you can swap to a modest nature. Mega Gardevoir needs Helping Hand users to secure many OHKOs with Hyper Voice that it would otherwise be unable to get, and without significant Defensive investment, Mega Gardevoir is very vulnerable to physical attacks. Jirachi, Mew, Politoed, Cresselia, and Hitmontop are all excellent users that can pair up with Mega Gardevoir.

  35. Checks & Counters
  36.
  37. The most common threat to Gardevoir is undoubtedly Aegislash, who can 2HKO Gardevoir with Shadow Sneak and 2HKO with a +2 shadow sneak (from weakness policy or swords dance) even when burned. Ghost types in general are a threat to [Mega] Gardevoir especially Gengar who can outpace and 2HKO all of the sets above. Mega Mawile is a massive threat to Gardevoir, being able to survive one attack and OHKO with Iron Head. Standard Jirachi can outspeed the slower variants of Gardevoir and smash it with Iron Head, although Jirachi must be wary of Shadow Ball.
