Curse of Jirachi


Plot


The world is inhabited by these wonderful creatures called Pokemon. Some people in this world have them as companions, others use them in fights, and the remainder research Pokemon….


The Pokemon and humans, for the most part, are in harmony with one another. Every so often you get villains, such as Team Rocket and Team Aqua/Magma who wish to use Pokemon for their own ends, and some humans to steal Pokemon or even try to take over the world. Always, without fail, a vigilante would come along and thwart those that tried to bring chaos to the Pokemon world and put an end to their crazy schemes. Every time, these vigilantes would work alongside their Pokemon in perfect harmony, trusting one another in the middle of absolute danger.


However… what if this time… there is no vigilante?


Once in his prime of 34 and on top of the world, he is now a feeble old man of the age of 84. Though, his grandson now runs his empire with all sorts of Pokemon wares and technological advances. One thing he has looked for is a way to rejuvenate his youth and live a much longer lifetime than a normal human would. Some might say the man was looking for the elixir of life, but he was searching for something more. He wanted power and he wouldn’t stop until he got it. With his scientist still under his thumb, Giovanni studied for a way to gain such youth and power. For many months he had been doing this, until he found an old scroll hidden away deep within the cavern of a hidden island located on no map.


The scroll spoke of the Wishmaker who could grant any wish that anyone could ever ask for. Upon more research, it was discovered this Wishmaker was none other than Jirachi. However, as it happened, Jirachi had been put back to sleep by Ash and friends some years ago, and 1000 years have yet to pass before he woke up again. Agitated, Giovanni had his scientist build a machine that would force Jirachi to awaken so that it would grant Giovanni’s wish. It took 3 months for this machine to be built, and another 6 months for them to find the crystalline shell that Jirachi hibernated in. Once they retrieved it, they proceeded to forcefully wake up the sleeping Pokemon.


Jirachi wasn’t very happy to be woken up only to discover that it hadn’t been 1000 years. Locked within a specialized chamber, Jirachi was powerless. It took several days before Jirachi finally caved into Giovanni’s demand to grant him a wish.


“Power and youth of a Pokemon! Give it to me!”


Jirachi granted his wish, but twisted it so that it wasn’t only Giovanni who was affected by the wish. People and Pokemon alike were affected, transforming each and every human and Pokemon into creatures that didn’t exist before. Pokemon gained a humanoid form while humans gained Pokemon attributes, such as ears, fangs, etc, and both had the powers of a Pokemon. No one but Giovanni knew what happened, and he went into hiding immediately afterwards.


Legendary Pokemon were also affected, along with Jirachi, and each and every one of them went into hiding once the realization hit them that something very bad had happened. Humans and Pokemon slowly began realizing that this wasn’t just an isolated event, that the entire Pokemon world had been affected. Shortly afterwards, they coined the term Gijinka for themselves, since they were no longer regular Humans or Pokemons anymore.
