Pokemon Adventure! 3

(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia followed the other'so but was beginning to feel a little weak. She probably should of ate something before connecting to that shuppet. Next time she would make sure to be more careful.
(2458) Venec Myles: "You okay?" Venec asked.
whispering to Jack, Andy, Rob, DNA, (GW): what I miss?
(2459) Test1: "Yeah I'm okay..." She looked down a little. "Prehaps a little hungry.." As she spoke she remembered the food that she had brought from her house. "But we can eat later...does anyone know where this nest is?"
(2461) Danny Green: Danny looked at Kia with some concern.
(2457) Test1: "It should be somewhere near here, but as to where I don't have a clue..."
(2457) Cepheus White: *Cepheus said
(2457) Cepheus White: (Not sure why it responded as test1)
(2461) Danny Green: Danny will look around for any sign of the Ekans nest.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Well they were being trouble, so I assumed they would be visible as we reached the edge of town. The hard part will be finding out what went wrong in the Viridian forest to agrivate them.""
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia looked around for a second in an attempt to see if she could spot the shuppet again. "I should of asked that pokemon if he noticed anything odd while he was still here.."
(2457) Cepheus White: "I'm going to assume we should probably be looking for holes in the ground..." Cepheus said; "that'll be a sign a nest is there or at least nearby."
(2460) Narrator: As you all make your way out of town, you begin down the dirt path of Route 2 that leads from Viridian City to Viridian Forest. You can clearly see the large forest on the horizon in the distance. There are wooded areas to both your left and right along with patches of tall grass all over the dirt roads. You hear the sounds of groups of Spearow overhead as well as the occasional cry of a random PokeMon nearby, though where from you're not exactly sure.
** (2458) Venec Myles dex's a spearow as he walks by. **
(2461) Danny Green: Danny follows Venec's lead and dex's one as well.
(2460) Narrator: "Spearow, the bird PokeMon. Normal and Flying type. Unlike Pidgey, Spearow has a terrible attitude. It is very wild and will sometimes attack other Pokemon and humans. "
(2457) Cepheus White: Cepheus follows suit, making notes in his own head as he does so.
(2461) Danny Green: "Wow," Danny said, "that sure sounds like the king jerk of the PokeMon world."
(2460) Narrator: "Fearow, the Beak Pokemon. Normal and Flying type. The evolved form of Spearow. Its large, powerful wings allow it to fly for an entire day. The crushing power of its beak is tremendous. "
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Well atleast there is no way we can get lost..home sweet home, right Ven?" As Kia spoke she watched the other's whip out their pokedex's and decided to do the same. It would be handy to have the information on hand for later.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny scanned the flavour text.
(2457) Cepheus White: "There's a Fearow around here?" Cepheus noted. "I'm not sure if that bodes good or ill..."
(2460) Narrator: (I will allow that everyone scanned both pokemon overhead)
(2458) Venec Myles: "There's one of them Fearows?" Venec wondered if his dex was challenging him.
(2461) Danny Green: "I wonder if they're here hunting for Ekans," Danny thought aloud.
** (2458) Venec Myles nodded, "That might just be worth checking out! C'mon Adena!" Venec ran to the grass without a second thought. **
(2457) Cepheus White: "It's definitely possible; sounds like a perfect predator-prey relationship to me..."
(2457) Cepheus White: "Wait, where is he going?"

(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia chuckled "I think he is following the spearow...prehaps we should try to catch up?"

(2461) Danny Green: Danny made a surprised expression. "Oh!" Danny said. He pulled the egg out of his backpack.
(2460) Narrator: The egg is cracking and slowly beginning to hatch.
(2461) Danny Green: "I bet it's a Charizard!"

(2459) Kia Meyers: "Woah, already!" Kia watched excitedly.
(2457) Cepheus White: Cepheus' eyes began to fill with wonder, right up to the point where he facepalmed mentally when Danny said Charizard. What was in the egg, anyway?
(2460) Narrator: Out of the egg comes a red and green arm. And then a leg. And a mixture of a fuzzy green and orange flame-tipped tail.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec excitedly storms through the grass in the distance.
(2460) Narrator: After some struggle and a few moments, the egg hatches into an odd familiar looking lizard PokeMon.
(2457) Cepheus White: "I'd say it's a Charmander...but why is it green?"
(2460) Narrator: "Carrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"
(2457) Cepheus White: "At least, I think it's a Charmander..."
(2461) Danny Green: Danny cuddles the 'mon. Then scans it with his dex.
(2459) Kia Meyers: "What..is it?" Kia wondered outloud and tried to scan the creature. Nurse joy had said that it might be a new pokemon, but just to be sure..."Well let's see if this thing can give us any info now.."
(2460) Narrator: "Charmander. Fire type. A flame burns on the tip of its tail from birth. It is said that a Charmander dies if its flame ever goes out. "
(2461) Danny Green: "Yes," Danny said, "as I suspected. I think this proves my genius."
(2460) Narrator: You notice after a moment that the Charmander is red and green, covered in small patches of leaves and what looks to be flower buds.
(2457) Cepheus White: "It's not a Charizard, Danny," Cepheus retorted. "Even so, that still doesn't explain why it's clearly /green/."
(2457) Cepheus White: "It's almost like a...plant-based Charmander...? What is this...?"
(2459) Kia Meyers: "So it is a Charmander. " Kia smiled as Danny snuggled the creature, but then took a closer look seeing the odd patterns on it. "I've never seen a charmander look like that although..."
(2460) Narrator: Over with Venec, as he storms into the Grass he stumbles upon a pack of Poochyena. Each one stands slowly, growling menacingly at the intruder.
(2460) Narrator: There are a total of four.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia frowned. "I wonder...I wonder if this is natural?" Her mind flickered back to the strange man who had orginally handed the group the egg. " You guy's think it is a new breed of pokemon, or is it some kind of science experiment?"
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec stopped in place, let a moment pass and said, "Hey. Seen any Ekans?"
(2458) Venec Myles: Master of diplomacy [1d20-2] => [1,-2] = (-1)
(2457) Cepheus White: "Another possible explanation is that one of this Charmander's parents was a Grass-type," Cepheus suggested. "Unlikely, but still possible. Even so, I don't think that would affect the Charmander's appearance this much..."
(2458) Venec Myles: Charsima check.
(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena growl and began surrounding you.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Alright Adena, lets show them how to REALLY fight!" Venec raised his fists, "C'mon!"
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia smiles down at the small charmander. "Welcome to the world little one...no matter how you were created."
(2458) Venec Myles: (Adena's speed is 6)
(2460) Narrator: Everyone by the tall grass and clearly see Venec getting into a fighting position and his shout is clearly heard.
(2461) Danny Green: "Well," Danny said, "I think it's adorable! I shall call him Cherry."
(2460) Narrator: "Carr!"
(2457) Cepheus White: "Why Cherry?" Cepheus asked. "Also, it looks like Venec's in a bit of trouble..."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Good name." Kia smiled at Danny but her attention was soon brought to where Ven had headed. "I think he is in trouble guy's. Let's go V!" She dashes to toward's V but stops a few feet away.
(2460) Narrator: Anyone joining into the encounter, please place your tokens on the far right of the battle map.
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter ran (or floated) towards the battlefield, anxious for action. He didn't need to be told twice. Cepheus shook his head and ran afte rhis friend. (how do I deploy tokens again?)
(2460) Narrator: When everyone is ready, please let me know.

(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena yelps from the attack and topples over, falling unconscious instantly.

(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia takes her pokedex out and scans the new creatures. "V, go over by larry and use helping hand!"
(2460) Narrator: The blue arrows shows unconscious. When it's black, it's dead.

(2461) Danny Green: Danny is a little flabbergasted by Venec's ability to kick Poocheyna butt! However, he's able to order Larry to "Use Curse!"

(2459) Kia Meyers: (yeah i just figured that out :P)
(2458) Venec Myles: "Anyone want one?!" Venec called out, feeling a little bad that he smashed a puppy into the ground.
(2460) Narrator: Curse occurs and the combat stages change. Larry looks slower (if possible) but more determined (if possible

(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter shot ahead, enthusiastic as ever, wanting to join in the fray. He couldn't believe he let Larry get the best of him and shot right up, giving Slowpoke "the eye" as he did so. Cepheus was running himself to keep up with his magnet...

(2460) Narrator: The initial Poochyena bleeds on the ground from head trauma.

(2460) Narrator: The PokeBall engulfs the Poochyena3 easily and without even a single shake, the ball chimes in success.

(2460) Narrator: "Poochyena, the Bite Pokemon. Dark Type. Poochyena is the pre-evolved form of Mightyena. Its biting strength is superior to other Pokemon, and has the endurance to chase opponents down until completely exhausted. "
(2460) Narrator: Kia, your turn.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia grits her teeth as she watches V get solidly hit. "Alright let's retaliate with tackle!"

(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter pursued immediately after the Poochyena he'd attacked earlier, wanting to not only redeem himself but to show up Larry and defeat the dog himself. Thus, he pursued it and Tackled it.

(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena4 takes the tackle and almost drops, whimpering loudly and gritting its teeth.

(2457) Cepheus White: (Cepheus was looking at the Poochyena his Pokemon was attacking; he wasn't sure whether to let it keep going and finish it, or to try and put it out of its misery...)
(2461) Danny Green: Larry moved a little bit more forward alongside Danny. "Curse," Danny ordered.
(2460) Narrator: Larry grows a more expressional look.
(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena twitches some, blood pooling around it.
(2460) Narrator: venec.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec checked up on the Poochyena he hit, "Are you okay?"
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec took out a potion and used it on the Poochyena.

(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena is still unconscious but is now simply battered rather than bleeding its life away.
(2460) Narrator: Kia!
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia took a few steps forward unsure of what to do. "I don't want to hurt it anymore....V come back a little!"

(2460) Narrator: Cepheus!
(2458) Venec Myles: "Catch 'em if you're gonna catch 'em. Let'em run if you aren't! The fight is ours!"
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter was about to Tackle the Poochyena yet again, were it not for Cepheus running closer and yelling "Stop! Jupiter, pull back!" Magnemite didn't look too happy about this, given how he wanted to show Larry up, but he reluctantly obeyed his trainer's command and backed off.
(2457) Cepheus White: (Pass)
(2460) Narrator: Danny!
(2461) Danny Green: "Larry! Hold your ground and use Curse again!" Larry, obediently, with a more expressive face stood his ground and looked at Jupiter. He made a triumphant motion and looked fairly pleased.
(2460) Narrator: Both the Poochyena begin to flee from the battle!
(2460) Narrator: Will anyone do anything else but let them flee?
(2459) Kia Meyers: (not 1)
(2459) Kia Meyers: (not i)
(2461) Danny Green: Danny watched the Pooches flee and let them.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec stands up and fetches his captured pokemon
(2457) Cepheus White: (I'm holding back also)
(2460) Narrator: All participating PokeMon gain 120 XP from the encounter.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia smiled down at V. " You did an awesome job battling today!You sure are strong! I think you deserve a nice rest." She took out his pokeball and recalled him promptly.
(2460) Narrator: If you all would like, you can level up your PokeMon. I don't mind waiting.
(2460) Narrator: Just let me know when you're finished.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec took the ball in hand and limped back to everyone else, "Well... I didn't find an Ekans..."
(2460) Narrator: Oh! And another thing about PokeBalls! When you throw a PokeBall, it only breaks if you fail the capture or something happens to it specifically (such as you hitting a wall or tree, or the PokeMon breaking it somehow).
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia smiled shaking her head. "No you didn't...but prehaps your new friend knows where they are?"
(2460) Narrator: If I don't describe your PokeBall breaking or the PokeMon breaking free from the PokeBall, it's still safe.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Let's hope..." Venec sent out the Poochyena.
(2457) Cepheus White: Cepheus was rather preoccupied with chiding his Magnemite, who looked rather displeased that his trainer was displeased. He'd wanted to prove himself worthy, but had been met with rebuttal.
(2457) Cepheus White: "No battle is worth causing that much injury, Jupiter..." Cepheus said. "I don't want to see you doing that again."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Oh by the way...in your urgency to find the nest you missed the egg hatching."
(2458) Venec Myles: "Oh... I thought I saw you looking at something in the distance..."
(2460) Narrator: The strange looking Charmander is still out in the open, breathing a mixture of fire and leaves, pumped up from the combat.
(2461) Danny Green: "And he's adorable!"
(2461) Danny Green: "I totally thought he was a Charizard."
(2457) Cepheus White: "How is it even capable of exhaling both fire and leaves?" Cepheus mumbled to himself. "I wonder who would know why?"
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec simply stared at it. ". . ." He looked back up, "It looks like one of them type ace mixes."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "He is defintely unique." As Kia spoke she eyed the creature not sure what to take of him yet.
(2460) Narrator: The Charmander notices all the attention and poses, swishing its tail back and forth, expectantly.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny ran back up to new PokeMon, whom was now named Cherry, cuddlign the little guy.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec gave it a pet before turning to the Poochyena, "Hey there guy."
(2460) Narrator: Cherry smiles and hugs in return.
(2461) Danny Green: Larry looked a little rejected.
(2459) Kia Meyers: "type ace mixes? What do you mean?" She gave Venec a questioning look before noticing the charmander. "He is handsome though."
(2461) Danny Green: "Oh! C'mere as well!" Larry moved very slowly up to the pair and they all shared in a group hug.
(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena sits when given attention, looking up at Venec with respect.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec gave the Poochyena a pet as well, "What should we name you.."
(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena turns to the unconscious one, giving it a look of concern.
(2458) Venec Myles: "I gave that one a potion, he should be okay. Should I take care of him anyway?" Venec asked.
(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena tilted its head in confusion before sniffing the fallen Poochyena and wagging its tail.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec looked over the unconcious one for any objects.
(2457) Cepheus White: Cepheus then began to direct his attention to this strange new Charmander. Jupiter went and quietly rested atop Cepheus' head, quietly staring at Larry with a look of "This isn't over yet."
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec lifted the unconcious Poochyena in his arms
(2461) Danny Green: Larry had returned to normal after the encounter. His daredevil persona had reverted back to a blank stare.
(2460) Narrator: The Poochyena instantly stands and gives a few sharp barks at Venec.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Ah! Sorry!"
(2458) Venec Myles: "Hmm... it looks more like it's sleeping than knocked out, that potion must have helped..." Venec touched a pokeball to it.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny noticed Venec looked a little beaten and battered, casually pulling away from the hug, as he made his way toward Venec. He asked, "Did you want me to look at your injuries? My pa was a Breeder. And my ma was a doctor."
(2460) Narrator: The PokeBall swirls around the Poochyena, absorbing it into the machine.
(2460) Narrator: Shake.
(2460) Narrator: Shake..
(2460) Narrator: Shake...
(2460) Narrator: Ka-ching!
(2461) Danny Green: "Pop!"
(2461) Danny Green: "I love that sound."
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia smiled at Ven. "Look's like you have a pair now. Atleast they get to stay together!"
(2458) Venec Myles: "Huh." Venec muttered before turning back to Dan Green, "If you can help, every pokemon I've met today has wailed me in the stomach."
(2459) Kia Meyers: As the other's talked Kia scanned the ground and the area around them in hopes of spotting any clue's that would lead them to finding the ekan's nest.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny tried to rub Venec's tummy better. "There," he said, triumphantly. "I bet that feels better."

(2461) Danny Green: "My ma taught me how to do that."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Hey everyone! I think I found a trail!" Kia pointed to a few wiggly lines that lead even further into the woods.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Thanks." Venec looked like he was trying to complement, but didnt' seem to notice the effect.
(2457) Cepheus White: "A trail? of tracks?" Cepheus asked, walking over to the place Kia pointed at to see for himself.
(2459) Kia Meyers: "It appears that way...should we follow? Or would you rather we rest?" When she asked this she particularily looked at Ven.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec nodded and grinned, "I'll be fine!"
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia smiled and began to follow the tracks. She took out Artemis's pokeball and released her. "I think we are close to the Ekan's nest Art. I'll need your help once we get there." Artemis wagged her tail slowly as she walked next to her master.
(2457) Cepheus White: Cepheus followed the tracks close behind Kia's lead. He decided to let Ralts out of her Poke Ball for a breath of fresh air and to join in on the action.

(2457) Cepheus White: "...Something the matter, Grace?" Cepheus asked, turning to his partner.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny followed along with Larry who carried Cherry on his back.
(2460) Narrator: All of them nod before being returned.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec returned his three pokemon out and sends out Layla
(2457) Cepheus White: "Guys, I think there's something nearby that's watching us..." Cepheus remarked.
(2458) Venec Myles: "A fight!" Venec ran ahead.
(2461) Danny Green: "Hey Cherry," Danny looked at his new 'Charizard', "did you want to be part of my team? I think you're really swell and adorable."
(2460) Narrator: Cherry nods empathetically, "Derrcarrr!!"
(2460) Narrator: Venec runs ahead of the group, trudging through tall grass and brush, finding himself in an open circle in the grass, almost man-made but the spilled grass on the ground suggests otherwise.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia strains to see where Cepheus had pointed to. "Can you tell what it is?"

(2457) Cepheus White: "What it is...?" he answered. "Not exactly..." He glanced to Grace as he said that.

(2461) Danny Green: Danny smiled and softly pressed a PokeBall into Cherry's belly. He ignored the other fiasco for the time being.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Wait a minute...what?" Cepheus shot his Ralts a double-take. "You serious?"
(2460) Narrator: Kia's PokeDex pings twice.
(2460) Narrator: Ralts nods.
(2460) Narrator: "Ekans, the snake PokeMon. Poison Type. It can freely detach its jaw to swallow large prey whole. It can become too heavy to move, however. "
(2458) Venec Myles: "There was a circle of grass, all worn down, a bunch of Ekans in the middle, I think."
(2459) Kia Meyers: Before Kia can look down her attention is drawn towards Ven. " Always looking for a fight that one. COme on Art let's go help him out." She wanders up towards Ven.

(2460) Narrator: "Arbok, the Cobra PokeMon. Poison Type. With a very vengeful nature, it won't give up the chase, no matter how far, once it targets its prey. "
(2457) Cepheus White: "I think I've been informed of our Charmander's mysterious origins, guys."

(2457) Cepheus White: "But that can wait; it looks like we've found the nest."

(2461) Danny Green: Danny pulled out his 'dex after successfully putting Cherry in a PokeBall. He scanned just like everybody else.

(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia looks around nervously. "I wonder how many there are.."

(2457) Cepheus White: "Let's not waste time, then..." Cepheus remarked. "How are we going to dispose of this threat?"
(2458) Venec Myles: "We could fight them, or we could go around and track them back from where they came. The post said they were being forced out of their natural homes."
(2457) Cepheus White: "If that's the case, let's try to do this without violence and get them back to where they were before."
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec continued, "Or they were at least something like that. That they left their natural habitat. So something must be wrong.."
(2461) Danny Green: "I agree with Venec," Danny piped in, for what his opinion was worth, "we should find out what drove them away."

(2460) Narrator: Layla sniffs the air, then the tracks and then points to Viridian Forest.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Lets go, quietly if we can." Venec gave Layla's head a scratch.
(2460) Narrator: Layla gives a toothy grin before trotting off in the direction of the Viridian Forest.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny and Larry tag behind. Cherry is returned to his 'ball for safety.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia follows with Artemis trotting closely next to her for good measure.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec mused out loud, "So what can force a pokemon to move. New carnivores to the area, less prey, change in landscape..."
(2461) Danny Green: "Hey, Cepheus," Danny said, trying to make light conversation, "you have to admit Larry did pretty well in that last battle."
(2461) Danny Green: He gave Jupiter a teasing glance.
(2460) Narrator: In the distance towards the Viridian Forest, you notice a small building that had been shaped into the wall of trees that indicate the fringes of the forest.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Getting his gameface on and nothing more doesn't exactly count, I don't think..." Cepheus answered. Jupiter glared at Danny.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny stuck his tongue out at Jupiter.
(2461) Danny Green: "Nyah!"
(2459) Kia Meyers: "So are you famillar with this area Venec?" Kia pondered as she spotted the building.
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter just kept glaring as he didn't have a tongue to stick out.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec nodded, "Mostly. This is a checkpoint restop something for people entering the forest. I usually skip it myself but if you don't know the area most check in here. There might be someone who knows more inside."
(2458) Venec Myles: "More about the incident I mean."
(2457) Cepheus White: "So we should look there for information, you think?"
(2460) Narrator: The building comes into view and you can see that the trees are so entangled with one another along the fringes that you cannot physically see any possible opening to pass through. Evening climbing the trees hardly seems feasible. Wisdom checks please.

(2457) Cepheus White: "Broke in, you say?" Cepheus remarked. Jupiter perked up into action and started orbiting again, ready for anything.
(2459) Kia Meyers: She nodded and followed him in at a close distance. Her eyes swept down to Artemis and the two seemed to share an automatic understanding.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec walked up slowly, keeping Layla at his side, and stood just before the door, peeking in.

(2460) Narrator: There is a single light from over, all the other ones too dim or brokento grant any real light. There is no sound although there is a familiar smell in the air accompanied by the smell of burnt wood.

(2461) Danny Green: Danny released Cherry to help light the way. "She glows," Danny explained, "I thought it would be handy."
(2460) Narrator: You can see knocked over couches and tables, broken chairs and glass, as well as a single arm over the toppled couch, the body hidden behind it and the hat of a police officer just noticeable behind the main counter.

(2460) Narrator: The light from outside doesn't grant much help with the door and everyone else in the way.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec slammed the door open and rushed in to the man.

(2460) Narrator: As Venec pushes open the door he instantly feels a sharp jolt run through his body, dealing 4 points of electric damage to him.

(2457) Cepheus White: "Looks more like some sort of scuffle..." Cepheus remarked. "Is that man still conscious?" Then to Venec, "don't be so reckless!"
(2458) Venec Myles: "Son of a gun!" Venec yelled as he continued to run in. "Are you okay?!"
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia quickly followed and ran over to the fallen person as well.
(2460) Narrator: As you run into the room, you walk through move threads like the one you saw at the door, breaking them as you stumble toward the man.

(2457) Cepheus White: "Are those tripwires?" Cepheus remarked. "What is this place?"
(2460) Narrator: But breaking the thread deals 3 points of electricity damage to you and does paralyze you, and Venec falls paralyzed onto the ground with full view of the man.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec tried to contort his head to see the man and make out what he could.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia automatically stops as she watches Venec fall. "Venec! Tripwires?" Her eyes scan the rest of the area between herself and the man in an attempt to make out if there are any more.

(2461) Danny Green: Danny looked around and furrowed his brow. "There is more of those electrical thread still intricately placed around the interior of the building. On the door opposite of where we are and where the hat is, as well as behind the table and along the walls."
(2459) Kia Meyers: As Venec checks on the man Kia eyes the rest of the room. "Art can you smell anyone else in here?"
(2460) Narrator: As Venec touches the mans body, he feels that his body is as cold as the floor he's lying on.
(2457) Cepheus White: "So this whole room is just one giant electrical trap? And that man got caught in it?"
(2458) Venec Myles: "He.... he's dead..."
(2457) Cepheus White: "...Oh dear..."
(2458) Venec Myles: Whether it was the shock of the moment or shock of the traps Venec no longer moved."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Why would someone put a trap in the reststop?" Kia felt a stab for pity for the man. She wondered how long he had been here like this.
(2461) Danny Green: "I don't like the look of this," Danny said, "I think this has gotten more complicated than just an egg."
(2461) Danny Green: Danny lookd at Cepheus. "What did you realise about this egg?"

(2458) Venec Myles: Venec said nothing.
(2457) Cepheus White: "ah, you mean Cherry?" he answered. "apparently it's a gene-spliced Pokemon - it technically is a Charmander, but has DNA from something else in it as well."

(2457) Cepheus White: "Grace thinks it might be a Bulbasaur or some other floral grass-type."
(2458) Venec Myles: Layla licked Venec's hand in concern.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia moved closer to Venec to check up on him. "Are you ok?"
(2457) Cepheus White: "...And...should we really be staying here any longer? Is there anything that we can do here?"
(2460) Narrator: Grace glances around then back to Cepheus.
(2457) Cepheus White: "...You think a Pokemon did all this?" he went on, looking at his Ralts. "Why?"
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia takes out her paralyze heal and uses it on Venec.
(2460) Narrator: Grace points to the thread and then to the trees.
(2459) Kia Meyers: "I wish I can do more.." She frowned as she closed her bag and placed it back on her shoulders.

(2457) Cepheus White: "Trap someone...? Who or what would even benefit from something like that? Why put a trap inside a building?"
(2460) Narrator: Grace gives an indifferent shrug.
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter looked at Cepheus as if he were crazy, then it noticed the Ralts and ceased the look.
(2461) Danny Green: "I say we head to the 'center and rest," Danny said, "then we head in there and find the perpretator."
(2461) Danny Green: "Head in the forest, I mean," Danny nodded.
(2457) Cepheus White: "You don't have any idea either? But you do think there was a reason...makes sense." Then to Danny, "sounds like a good idea, seeing how Venec is not in any shape to do much of anything."
(2458) Venec Myles: "Ow..." Venec grumbled at the paralyze heal.
(2458) Venec Myles: He rubbed the spot the heal was injected, "those hurt.."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "It looks like that man was prehaps attacked with a posion sting of a sort..." Kia spoke as she got a better look at the man. "and heading back to the pokecenter sounds like a good idea."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Those hurt out of all of the other damage that you took today?" Kia couldn't help but to tease him a bit.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Poison, with paralyzing strings..." Cepheus thought. "Ariados, maybe?"
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec nodded.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Needles are their own kind of hurt."
(2460) Narrator: Grace tilted her head before shaking it.
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter couldn't help but giggle a bit at Venec's plight.

(2459) Kia Meyers: "Well maybe you shouldn't go charging into places, and I wouldn't have to use them on you." She got up and made her way towards Cepheus. " Ariados sounds like a plausiable guess."
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter's eyelid closed halfway with a glare that said "I do NOT."
(2457) Cepheus White: "You think that whatever did this is still nearby?"
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia gave a cautious look around. "I hope not..."
(2458) Venec Myles: "Layla, can you track it?"
(2460) Narrator: Grace points at the thread.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Oh, good idea..." Cepheus said, opening his Pokedex and analyzing the threads to see if it picked up a reading."
(2460) Narrator: "Joltik, the Attaching Pokemon. Electric Type. Joltik cling to larger Pokemon, and absorb static electricity, storing the energy in a special pouch. "
(2461) Danny Green: "I think Grace is smarter than us all."
(2460) Narrator: Grace gives a smile and poses triumphantly.
(2460) Narrator: Grace tilts her head to the description.
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter started getting envious that his archnemesis praised Cepheus' other Pokemon.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec scanned the threads as well.
(2457) Cepheus White: Thus he pouted and sat back on top of Cepheus' head.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Apparently so," Cepheus agreed with Danny.
(2457) Cepheus White: "What's a Joltik?" Cepheus asked. "I'm not fully sure of the details myself but I know a few things, Grace."
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia shuttered at the thought of a pokemon attaching itself to someone. "You mean it could be on one of us right now?" Paranoid she tried to look at her back.
(2461) Danny Green: "I think we should track the 'mon while its close-by," Danny concluded, "however, Venec, you can take a break from beating on 'mons. Leave that to Layla."
(2457) Cepheus White: "Let's see...they're really small, rather difficult to detect with the naked eye. They tend to hide in small places and wait for some hapless prey to show up."
(2458) Venec Myles: "Hn." Venec grunted.
(2457) Cepheus White: "They're about as long as a person's index finger."
(2461) Danny Green: "Would Grace be able to sense it telapathically?"
(2458) Venec Myles: "Magnemite, can you feel out other eletric types around you? I don't really know how magnets work."
(2457) Cepheus White: "And they aren't native to this area either, so that's another interesting phenomenon."
(2460) Narrator: Grace pauses for a moment, and shakes her head.
(2459) Kia Meyers: "The more I hear the less I like. Let's just get out of this building at the very least." Kia made her way over to the door and took a few steps outside.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Grace doesn't sense anything around here, so if we're to do any searching, we need to go somewhere else."
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter nodded at Venec as if to answer "yes" to his question, as if that sort of thing came naturally to him.
(2458) Venec Myles: "I would stay with the group for now Kia, if we're dealing with a hunter that picks off its pret."
(2461) Danny Green: "I see," Danny answered, "well, I suppose one of your 'mons that can track should use that thread to help find a scent."

(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia chuckled from outside looking in. "Don't worry. I wont wander off to far...I just don't want to be inside that.."web" any longer."

(2458) Venec Myles: Venec didn't leave but kept an eye on her anyway.

(2461) Danny Green: (Well, apparently the culprit is close by ... it'd make more sense to go now! Surrounding Venec to make sure he doesn't hurt himself anymore.)

(2457) Cepheus White: It's not immediately nearby but it could still be nearby
(2458) Venec Myles: "Lets find it then, can Magnemite lead the way?"
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter leapt into the air with a confident look of "CAN I? I was BORN to lead the way!"
(2457) Cepheus White: Cepheus noted this and said "Looks like that's a yes, apparently."
(2460) Narrator: (Magnemite will try leading via Magnetic?)

(2461) Danny Green: "That's settled," he said, "let's go find this culprit."
(2458) Venec Myles: Layla growled in excitement, tryingto keep Venec behind her for his own good.
(2460) Narrator: Magnemite will constantly move toward the remaining electrical charged threads.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Jupiter, see if you can find any sources of electrical energy nearby, that might still be powered by something."
(2460) Narrator: Jupiter pauses for a moment and circles around outside, looking for any other sources of electrical currents nearby before returning to Cepheus with the bad news. The only ones it can sense, are in the building and in the forest.
(2457) Cepheus White: "...The forest? There are currents out in the forest?"
(2461) Danny Green: Danny thought for a second, "We could get rid of all the electrical threads in the building first?"
(2460) Narrator: Grace points to the forest before looking at Cepheus.
(2457) Cepheus White: "We could, but how do we do that without injuring ourselves?"
(2458) Venec Myles: "Layla, see if you can help track by scent." Tracking [1d20] => [15] = (15) vs. ???
(2457) Cepheus White: "Oh, right, Pikachu are sometimes found around here. Still, there's no way to know for sure..."
(2461) Danny Green: "I am sure Jupiter is willing to make that sort of sacrifice," Danny said.
(2460) Narrator: Layla growls at the building, wanting to push forward but knowing what happened to Venec could happen to her.
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter shot Danny an "I am not amused" face.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Jupiter could do it, but I don't know if he could do so without injuring himself."
(2460) Narrator: Venec is currently in the building with a growling Layla.

(2460) Narrator: Jupiter looks confused for a moment before wobbling, pointing to the building and then to the door on the other side.

(2460) Narrator: Jupiter points to the only other door in the building, that leads into the forest.
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Pshhh I'm not going back in there." Kia shook her head watching the scene unfold before her.
(2458) Venec Myles: "There's going to be some noise!" Venec kicks the table across the room, taking as many threads out as he could without touching it.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny went back in and began looking for something rubbery that could be used to break through the threads.

(2457) Cepheus White: "...He's going to hurt himself," Cepheus commented. "I'm going in with Jupiter to look; you can stay here."

(2460) Narrator: The table crashes into the side of the building breaking through one half of the threads in the room, leaving only the ones on the walls and the ones protecting the door leading into the forest.
(2460) Narrator: It glows slightly, charged with electricity.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia couldn't help but to sigh knowing that Cepheus was right and ventured back in the building. "You guys think it might be on that other door?"
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec grinned triumphantly.
(2457) Cepheus White: Cepheus' eyes darted about looking for a rubbery object. Jupiter's eyes widened a bit as he noticed the glowing thread.
(2460) Narrator: The table glows, sorry for the confusion.
(2457) Cepheus White: "The other door?"

(2458) Venec Myles: Venec picked up a few objects and tried to take out more threads by the door through throwing them.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia cautiously made her way towards the other door. "Artemis...use ember on here.." The houndour opened it's mouth sending a few sparks of flames at the door.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny came across a Shell Bell, then pocketed the item. "Handy."
(2458) Venec Myles: "Oh, we have ranged attacks." Venec said flatly.

(2460) Narrator: It's only a matter of time before the wooden building sets on fire.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny looked at Kia with utter admiration. "Kia is the smartest woman in the whole wide world!"

(2457) Cepheus White: "...Sarcasm aside, let's get out of here."
(2460) Narrator: Kia opens the door, but not without incurring the fire damage of the flaming threads still on it. 9 points of fire damage.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia frowned. "Wait we can't just leave him here..."
(2459) Kia Meyers: She trodds back inside and attempts to drag the dead body out.
(2457) Cepheus White: "The man, you mean?" Cepheus said. "We can try, but should we do that?"
(2461) Danny Green: Danny nodded. "I will help you take him out," he said, dragging the body along with Kia.

(2459) Kia Meyers: "Ouch bad idea to touch that." She grimaces at the red burn mark on her hand.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec sighed and grabbed the Jenny and her growlithe as well.
(2460) Narrator: Grace panicks on Cepheus shoulder.
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter's eye darts about and, fearing the fire, taps his Poke Ball and hides.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Artemis attempts to help her master out by sinking her teeth into her master's flesh and pulling.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Wait a moment...If this fire spreads beyond this house, the forest will become ablaze," Cepheus said. "We need to try and put this thing out."
(2459) Kia Meyers: (not master's the bodies..)
(2457) Cepheus White: "Danny, can your Slowpoke use Water Gun or something?"
(2461) Danny Green: "Nope."
(2457) Cepheus White: "Unless anyone else has any other ideas, we should probably call for help..."
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia frowned. "I didn't even think about that when I had Artemis attack.."

(2458) Venec Myles: Dragging everyone out.

(2461) Danny Green: Danny is dragged outside easily.
(2460) Narrator: The flaming threads fall from their usual elevated spots, finally breaking, landing on the floor and couches. The couches almost instantly catch fire.
(2460) Narrator: I'm going to assume everyone was removed before the threads fell.
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia is dragged along.. "but.." and then stops as she watches the threads fall. "Thanks."
(2460) Narrator: As you exit the building, you see:

(2460) Narrator: A Fearow descend from the skies, landing behind you.
(2460) Narrator: "Awwk!"
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec sighed as he saw the building burn, turned to the rest, "So, anyone got a cellphone?"
(2460) Narrator: The Fearow stretches it's wings wide, a small breeze blowing by as it does so.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny looked at the Fearow and grinned. "Hey," he said, "look at that thing!"
(2460) Narrator: Wisdom checks.
(2458) Venec Myles: "Hey! Could you blow out the fire for is?"
(2457) Cepheus White: "I have an idea..." Cepheus said, "If we can get the Fearow to blow wind on the house, it might put out the fire..."

(2460) Narrator: The Fearow begins flapping its wings in the direction of the building, creating heavy swirls of wind past the ground and into the building.
(2457) Cepheus White: (That could either put the fire out or spread it further...) he thought. (Let's hope it's the former.)
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Wow thanks Fearow!" Kia spoke quietly feeling a bit guilty she had started the fire in the first place.
(2460) Narrator: The wind is blowing is heavy and almost steals the breath right out of you, obviously making it difficult to see.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny turned around and, taking the Fearow's lead, starts blowing at the building.
(2461) Danny Green: "Guys! We gotta put this out!"
(2460) Narrator: Once the wind dies down enough, the Fearow is no longer on the ground and instead, is already in the air, flying towards the PokeMon League.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Noted," Cepheus said, running over and fanning his own arms
(2458) Venec Myles: "Welp..." Venec said, and didn't know where to go from there.
(2460) Narrator: By the time you turn, the fire has died down to embers and all the stuff in the building, blown to one side.
(2461) Danny Green: "We should have caught that 'mon."
(2459) Kia Meyers: "Sorry guy's I didn't think one little ember attack could do all of this..." Kia sheepishly played with her hat.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Putting out a fire was more important."
(2458) Venec Myles: "It was probably sent by someone, it headed to Indigo regieon."
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter popped out of the Poke Ball, wondering if it was safe. Noticing it was, he gleefully spun about.
(2458) Venec Myles: Region rather*
(2461) Danny Green: "Well, at least you can get Jupiter to check for electricity again."
(2457) Cepheus White: Jupiter looked at Danny again with a suspicious glare. Then he started scanning again, but not because Danny told him to.
(2460) Narrator: Jupiter points again to the door, though seems to stretch a bit when it wobbles, trying to indicate that the current now seems farther away.
(2461) Danny Green: Danny headed to the door, kicking it aside, as he made a dynamic entry.
(2458) Venec Myles: "It probably ran from the fire, we could go after it or we could go back and deal with the Ekans. This is proving to be more trouble that it's worth."
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia, still feeling guilty, spoke up. "Prehaps we should go back to the pokemon center and report that officer's death."
(2460) Narrator: When you kick down the door you are introduced to the world of spiral wooded trees with a foliage so thick that only cracks of sunlight manage to make it into the forest. It's almost as dark as a cave.
(2457) Cepheus White: "Yes, but how are we going to deal with the Ekans when we still don't as of yet have a hint for where they came from?"
(2460) Narrator: You notice the faint hues of a yellow glow in the distances that disappear almost instantly.
(2458) Venec Myles: "They did have an arbok with them, it might have just been a single, agressive ringleader situation."
(2460) Narrator: The buzzing of many large pokemon can be heard, the cries of many birds and a few screeches of things you aren't familiar with.
(2457) Cepheus White: "that's possible...although that would make getting rid of them that much more difficult. Also, is it almost nightfall already...?"
(2461) Danny Green: "Y'know," Danny said, "I hear there's Caterpie in Viridian Forest. Easily, the most awesome 'mon ever - next to Larry."
(2457) Cepheus White: "I've always been partial to Weedle mys-...why am I even having this conversation?"
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia took a few steps forward so that she was standing next to Danny.
(2460) Narrator: To anyone outside of the building/forest, it looks to be early evening with a pinkish orange sky.
(2457) Cepheus White: (i'll be back in about 5 minutes)
(2461) Danny Green: "I say we go in: no time like the present!"
(2461) Danny Green: "I'm sure somebody'll find the dead body sooner or later."
(2459) Kia Meyers: Kia frowns. " You think we should keep going even if it is getting dark out?" Kia felt both weak and exhausted from the days events, but if everyone wanted to keep going she would follow.
(2459) Kia Meyers: She looked down at her hand which was currently pulsating with pain.
(2458) Venec Myles: Venec shrugged. "The Viridian forest is pratically my home, here is as restful for me as anywhere else."
(2457) Cepheus White: "I wouldn't want to be in a forest at night," Cepheus said; "it can get rather dangerous."
(2458) Venec Myles: "There are less ghosts in forests."
(2457) Cepheus White: "We just ran into a Shuppet."
(2458) Venec Myles: "In town." Venec nodded.
(2460) Narrator: Alright! Due to the fact that it's 12:20 AM for me and I have work in the morning, I would like to call it here.
(2460) Narrator: How does everyone feel about simply resting overnight in whatever place your characters feel comfortable with and re-uniting in the morning at a common ground?
(2461) Danny Green: Reuniting here! I reckon. =3

(2460) Narrator: I prefer to have a lot of roleplay, I adore it, but this could go on forever. ^-^ Although I like it.
(2460) Narrator: Well, thing is: Some of you have homes in Viridian City and Venec's home is in the forest.
(2458) Venec Myles: Pokemon center if we're going to meet up again, I need heals.

(2457) Cepheus White: Do you need to receive the email by a particular time?
(2460) Narrator: And this time next week, the game will start at its usual time but with the group re-united.

(2460) Narrator: Anytime before Tuesday would be best.
(2457) Cepheus White: any guidelines I need to be aware of?
(2460) Narrator: For those that don't know, you can personally train your PokeMon outside of combat by roleplaying it. This does grant them XP.

(2460) Narrator: No real guidelines. Just however your character would behave normally. You can make it elaborate like a story or just a list of things your character does.
(2460) Narrator: And the training for pokemon grants XP based on difficulty and time.

(2460) Narrator: For the encounter just encountered, each Trainers active PokeMon gain 400 XP.
