  1. In my view this is absolutely horrendous as it would split up the community into even just more parts than it already is. Currently it's not a big issue as the community is just split between the different gamemodes, which in reality really are just different games within the same 'overgame'. However, if mods were to be split as well you'd eventually just start having sub-communities focussing on mod 'x' with one mod (most likely DT or HD+DT, depending on implementation) being the top mod and the rest being subpar to most people...
  2. I don't see why the current system is a bad thing. Sure it has its flaws, like ANY ranking system EVER, but in a general sense an HDDT score will always be harder than an HDHR score, so it's only logical that those end up on top. The only imbalance I can think of is some DT scores vs HDHR scores, which I feel is just an accepted flaw, and should just be fixed by players themselves by having to learn HD to end up on top. A fix that doesn't even matter in the sense that a proper DT score still gives tons more PP than a good HDHR score, and justifiably so!!
  3. What would separate scoreboards look like? A nomod ladder full of SS's? A scoreboard where there wouldn't be 10+ nomod SS's would be dominated by nomod's anyway as it'd apparently be almost too hard to HD let alone HDHR! How about HD scoreboards? That much different from nomod SS's? Not really, in terms of structure it'd just be the nomod ladder, just 50% worse results because it's a tad harder. How about HDHR? Same fucking thing, just less than both nomod and HD, depending on the map. How about DT and HDDT? These would be the 'elitist' categories that most people would check because they'd show the 'real plays', just as they do now, unless it's maps that are impossible to DT, where the 'elitist' ranking would just be 'downgraded' to the HDHR scoreboard for said map!
  4. Making separate scoreboards does NOT fix or address this issue in any way shape or form, seems like a forced fix for a problem that's only a problem to people turning it into one, and would hurt the community as a connected group and just separate it into camps. Terrible, terrible idea (again, imo).
  5. PS: I'll come back and format this/add things when I'm not drunk
