Woods then killed his daughter in an act of mercy, then attempting to kill himself. His suicide attempt failed, so he moved to the woods to live in seclusion as an independent hunter, living off the land in a cabin he built himself. Views death as a release from the tragedies of life. Still struggles to find his purpose in life. Feels he is not deserving of the sweet embrace of death
