  1. I really wanted to turn and walk away, I didn't need to be here. I could walk back home and be home early enough that my parents would be happy with me again. But I didn't. Something inside me was telling me I had to do this, it was an important moment. I turned the doorknob and walked inside.

  3. The room was filled with a wall of mirrors, some were shattered and broken, others were in pristine condition as if freshly installed. I looked around for the source of the sound from earlier but there was nothing in this room but the mirrors. I thought for a moment that perhaps this wasn't the right room, maybe the noise was from somewhere else. Was there a noise at all to start with?
  4.
  5. There wasn't much to do in this room but stare at yourself, the mirrors were angled in a way that you could see different perspectives of the same person.

  7. The boy stared at himself in the mirrors for quite a while, much longer then the others. We were getting worried that he would never leave. Perhaps he needed another signal. The others assured me that he would leave, they always do. We waited quite a while for the boy to leave, you could hear the stress in the air. Eventually, the boy left the room. He slowly proceeded down the stairs and past all the leftovers of the party. He left the house without looking back.

  9. As I nudged the front door closed I was not sure what to think of what just happened. Something had changed when I looked at those mirrors. I feel different. I walked back to my house and my parents awaited me at home. They didn't seem to care what time I had arrived home, they were happy with me. I recalled the events of that night, I still can't really put them all together. It was a good party.
