  1. <DM> *LAST TIME ON ZURPG!
  2. <DM> *Corsava, you were "stuck" in the Twilight Realm with your "party", with a secret mission to make sure that Bloodwind gets the Twilight Mirror, who was disguising herself as the librarian, Medlora. By the end, you actually succeeded in this, and after the Interlopers were nearly wiped out, you two succeeded in this and escaped to Gerudo Desert.
  3. <DM> *However, unbeknownst to Bloodwind, you met with the spirit of Destra Dragmire, who turned out to be the sister of Ganondorf, and the Gerudo Warrior of Light 20 years ago. You were reminded that although the power you possess with the Dark Mark is great, it's a power that's corrupted and controlled the Gerudo in the past. You do not truly need it; the light of the desert sun reflects off of your blades, and if your heart is true, your
  4. <DM> sisters will stand with you.
  5. <DM> *With that uncertainty and a great decision in your heart, you set off with Bloodwind on a quest to conquer the very power that twisted Ganondorf into a king of evil... or vanquish it.
  6. <DM> say ready when ready
  7. <Corsava> Ready
  8. <DM> -=SESSION START=-
  9. <DM> *Corsava, you and Bloodwind have been standing in Gerudo Desert for what feels like a whole frigin' year. In that time, a sandstorm has been brewing, and you've been Daruding out..... for a reality of more like 5 seconds.
  10. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Why do my legs feel so stiff, we just got here.
  11. <DM> *Looking around, you're in the full heat of the sun, its bright rays sizzling off your shiny golden bow.
  12. <Corsava> "Perhaps its the crossing of planar boundaries? You could be adjusting?"
  13. <DM> *You can't quite tell if Bloodwind is sweating under this or not. He's just a vat of darkness enshrouded by generic dark cloaks.
  14. <DM> [Bloodwind]: ... sure, let's go with that.
  15. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Alright, Gerudo Fortress is... that way.
  16. <Corsava> "Alright. Let's get a move on."
  17. <DM> *He points towards the mountain through the Daruding sandstorm, where you see a gate. Hard to tell what's on it from here. If only you had the ability to see if there's anyone guarding it from this distance...
  18. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Hold on, they shouldn't be able to see us from here.
  19. * Corsava uses the twilight scope, since my Gerudo Vision bypasses sand
  20. <DM> [Bloodwind]: We should disguise ourselves and-.... oh that's nifty.
  21. <Corsava> "They can't see us, but the desert sands cannot hide them from me."
  22. <DM> *Corsava, you see through Anakin's coarse and rough tears and spot, on the Gerudo Gate, a pair of Gerudo Guards on top of the gate. They're just... casually chatting it up. They have not spotted you two yet. The gate itself is closed.
  23. <Corsava> "Two Gerudo, they're standing guard, but not on alert. They seem to have their guard down."
  24. * Corsava gets a good look at the gate, as well as the fortress itself, taking note of any windows or alternate means of ingress.
  25. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Good. I get the feeling they won't like us in our current forms...
  26. <DM> *There is a window towards the top of the mountain towards the side of the gate, presumably a guardhouse to shield the guards from sandstorms that are too intense.
  27. <Corsava> "Yeah, I mean, I'm a Gerudo too, but the mark is a dead give-away."
  28. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Oh right, you don't have Water affinity. *sighs*
  29. <Corsava> "There's a guardhouse towards the side of the gate."
  30. <DM> *Bloodwind holds his hand out over yours, then pulls it back. You look at your hand, annnd the curse mark is not visible.
  31. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Don't let your hand get hit, and avoid using your madness.
  32. <Corsava> "Thanks. Well, you can always take the form of Medlora again, I suppose. It's sort of a girls only club.
  33. <DM> [Bloodwind]: I... don't think they know what a Twili is.
  34. <DM> [Bloodwind]: They're very, very selective about who enters.
  35. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Look, it's simple really. Here's the grand plan.
  36. <DM> [Bloodwind]: We just gotta find Koume and Kotake's graves, dig up their corpses, and with their rotting powers and yours combined... in theory, it should bring back old man Ganondorf from the Sacred Realm.
  37. <DM> [Bloodwind]: And then-
  38. <DM> *He seems... distracted.
  39. <DM> *You consider interrupting him, but the passage of time itself blocks you from intervening.
  40. <DM> *He turns around to look at his own shadow, which seems to be fluctuating slightly.
  41. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *muttering* Accursed shadow, get out of my head!
  42. * Corsava tilts her head slightly and watches his shadow
  43. <DM> *He suddenly materializes the Fierce Deity Blade into his hand, and out of a bout of anger from the usually calm and collected Bloodwind, he stabs his own shadow, breathing heavily.
  44. * DM unfreezes time.
  45. <DM> *Corsava, for a moment, you thought you saw a pair of shadows inside of Bloodwind's, but they're gone now.
  46. <DM> *The blade dematerializes, and he turns back towards you. Although you can't see through the veil of darkness covering his face, you can sense, no... you can feel his anger.
  47. * Corsava makes note of the color souls that were in the shadows
  48. <Corsava> "Looks like someone has had the fortune of taking you for a ride."
  49. <DM> *You couldn't make out the outlines, but one of them was blue with a swirl of red and purple circling in its heart, and the other's was masked pretty darn well.
  50. <DM> *You recall seeing a soul just like the first one though, and you're 99% positive that was Hal.
  51. <DM> [Bloodwind]: ... ignore that.
  52. <Corsava> "It was the fox, and something hidden, probably the sneaky one that doesn't actually sneak at all."
  53. <DM> *He finally recomposes his breathing. For an instant, you hear one of those indistinguishable Interloper whispers pass through your mind.
  54. <DM> *He stares back in silence, then...
  55. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Let's get a move on.
  56. <DM> *He casts Illusion of Disguise and Illusion of Sound on himself. Bloodwind now looks like any standard Gerudo warrior, complete with a pair of blades at his- err... her side.
  57. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Come up with names for us by the time we get to the gate.
  58. <Corsava> "Oooh, love the hips, Amina"
  59. <DM> [Bloodwind]: .....
  60. <DM> errr
  61. <DM> [Amina]: ........
  62. <DM> *She tweaks the illusion to uhhh... shrink the hips slightly, you perv.
  63. <Corsava> "No, dear, walk with a bit of flourish. Take pride in your beauty, like this."
  64. * Corsava she walks the *proper* way, as she was taught before she left the Gerudo
  65. <DM> [Amina]: This is the... Gerudo way, and you not just messing with me, yes?
  66. <Corsava> "I'm Nabila, by the way."
  67. <DM> [Amina]: Lemme guess, we're sisters...
  68. <DM> *You notice Blood-Amina still has that slightly snarky tone to her voice.
  69. <Corsava> "Doubtful. Your eyes are a deep blue, whereas mine are more of a sea-blue, plus, your hair is a blood-red, as opposed to my scarlet red.
  70. <Corsava> We look nothing alike."
  71. <DM> [Amina]: ........
  72. <DM> *She gives you this mild glare. Which, you realize, is the first physical expression you've seen Bloodwind with, now that he's wearing the face of someone else.
  73. <DM> *Err, I guess you saw the one as Medlora. Scratch that.*
  74. * Corsava gives her a soft grin
  75. <Corsava> "Awww, don't be mad, dear. It's so fun traveling together. Now, why are we here again?"
  76. <DM> [Amina]: To... screw it.
  77. <DM> *She doesn't bother explaining.
  78. <DM> [Amina]: Which would you rather take? Bluff through the gate, or take the window?
  79. <Corsava> "I'd prefer the gate, since we don't know what's through the window. Could be nothing, could be...not so nothing."
  80. <DM> *For all you know, it's literally a decoration on the mountain to trick outsiders into thinking there's an alternate route in.
  81. <Corsava> "We need a solid reason for being here though. You said this was a military installation?"
  82. <DM> [Amina]: It's... the home of the Gerudo- wait, I thought you were born here.
  83. <DM> *You recall when you were here, war was a-brewing, sooo you kinda thought it was more militaristic than it actually is.
  84. <DM> *Then again, war or not, all Gerudo sisters are trained from birth to become warriors, proficient with a pair of sharp blades.
  85. <Corsava> "Well, last time I was here, this was a heavily garrisoned castle-town. It looks like the war must have died off since then, though. We should be fine to just go in and say we were hunting. Do you have any monster parts?"
  86. <DM> *She digs through her inventory, which is apparently through a portal of darkness...
  87. <DM> [Amina]: ... well this should creep them out.
  88. <DM> *She pulls out the tendril infested head of a Shadow Beast, with its frontal mask removed.
  89. <DM> [Amina]: ... yes. We were... hunting.
  90. <Corsava> "Umm...do you have like, a lizolfos horn?
  91. <Corsava> "We don't want to have to make reports on the new species we discovered..."
  92. <DM> *She drops the Shadow Beast head and searches some more.
  93. <Corsava> "Here, forget it. I've got it handled."
  94. <DM> [Amina]: Fine by me. Let's see, Lizalfos claws, Goron rock skin, Subrosian robes... which is apparently their skin, let's see...
  95. <DM> *You feel something move beneath your feet.
  96. * Corsava glances down
  97. * Corsava is walking towards the town while I look down
  98. <DM> *A pair of tendrils wrap around your foot, and try to drag you down!
  99. <DM> *Roll Power to defend, without your uber defense bonus.
  100. <Corsava> $roll 20d10
  101. <DM> $25d10

  105. <DM> *Your foot totally gets pulled down, annnd you find half of your body submerged in the sands.
  106. <Corsava> "Your lunch is trying to do strange tentacle things to me."
  107. <DM> [Amina]: What? What are you-
  108. <DM> *She looks over to find something burrowing out of the sand.
  109. <DM> *It appears to be a Red Leever, a carnivorous subterranean plant beast.
  110. <Corsava> "Fuck. It's a goddamn Leever."
  111. <DM> *At this point, you are visible from the gate. The guards have definitely noticed you.
  112. <Corsava> "HEY! LEEVER ATTACK! GIVE ME A HAND ONE OF YOU!!"
  113. <DM> [Amina]: Well, I'd draw my swords to help you out, but as you know... these aren't exactly real.
  114. <DM> [Amina]: So....
  115. <Corsava> "Just run to the town screaming like you're terrified, okay? This is perfect."
  116. <DM> [Amina]: ... screaming terrified.
  117. <DM> [Amina]: .. you just want to see me screaming terrified for once.
  118. <Corsava> "If they haven't heard me. Tell them that a Leever is attacking your friend and it took your weapons."
  119. <DM> *She dissolves her "swords" behind her back.
  120. <Corsava> "Dope."
  121. <DM> [Amina]: Very well. I shall return.
  122. <DM> *And with that, your look-alike ditches you to go get help.
  123. <DM> *One of your arms is free. Both of your legs are pulled under, annnd you can feel it trying to drag you down further.
  124. * Corsava uses my magnet gloves to launch a Super Bomb beneath myself
  125. <DM> (hoh boy)
  126. <DM> *Roll Magnetic Push + Attack Dice
  127. <DM> *Roll Power!
  128. <Corsava> $30d10
  129. <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 30 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 3, 2, 8, 2, 8, 5, 5, 6, 9, 10, 4, 2, 4, 1, 1, 6, 6, 3, 5, 1, 6, 1, 9, 2 and 4. Total: 147. Successes: 17.
  130. <DM> $34d10

  132. <DM> *You push the bomb beneath yourself, but the Leever easily repels it with one of its tendrils, and it gets knocked to the side... under the sands.
  133. <DM> *You're not sure where that thing is...
  134. <Corsava> "Yup...this is why everyone hates you, plant."
  135. <DM> *You await an explosion, buuuut.... nothing happens.
  136. <DM> *You know you lit the fuse, but then it occurs to you - it's submerged in sand.
  137. <DM> *Unless you have a different way of igniting it...
  138. <DM> *Though, you recall some other details of Leevers - they like eating whatever they're pulling.
  139. <DM> *Maybe if their teeth grinds on a bomb, it could ignite something...
  140. <Corsava> "Perhaps magic?"
  141. <Corsava> Psi Strike
  142. <Corsava> $36d10
  143. <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 36 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 2, 7, 8, 10, 10, 3, 9, 1, 3, 3, 8, 1, 7, 9, 1, 3, 10, 1, 5, 6, 4, 2, 4, 2, 9, 9, 2, 9, 5, 6, 9, 6, 2, 7, 6 and 2. Total: 191. Successes: 23.

  149. <DM> *You get the reroll on the attack, annnd the Leever takes 31 - 9 = 22 - 8 = 14 damage!
  150. <DM> *You hear it cry from beneath the earth, and its loosens its grip on your leg. You can dig yourself up now.
  151. * Corsava digs my way back to the surface and heads to the fortress
  152. <DM> *Ahead of you, you see Amina is quickly returning with the reinforcements of both guards from the gate.
  153. * Corsava is muttering and swearing under my breath about leevers
  154. <Corsava> "I got it off of me."
  155. <DM> [Amina]: Oh, you saved yourself, guess we don't need help anymore-
  156. <Corsava> "It's a shame about your swords though, Amina. We'll have to get you new ones."
  157. <DM> *You still have tendril guts attached to your leg.
  158. <Corsava> "Oh goddesses, I need a bath to get this OFF OF ME!"
  159. <DM> *The guards look at your fine silky leg- I mean dirty gut-laced legs.
  160. * Corsava stomps towards the gate, acting indignant at the filth
  161. <DM> [Amina]: Yes, it's as my friend, Nagging Hag- I mean Nabila says, she was attacked by a horrible plant creature, and we need to uhh... cleanse our souls- spirits.
  162. <DM> *One of the guards stops you.
  163. <DM> [Guard1]: Halt just a moment.
  164. <Corsava> "Of course."
  165. <DM> [Guard1]: I was not appraised of orders for a Gerudo hunting party. Who sent you out into the desert?
  166. <Corsava> "There *weren't* orders for a hunting party. We weren't hunting *monsters*. We're coming back from a trip to Hyrule."
  167. <DM> *Amina just blinks at you repeatedly.
  168. <DM> *You receive a telepathic message from Bloodwind...
  169. <DM> [Bloodwind]: ... Hyrule's on the other side of Gerudo Fortress.
  170. <DM> [Guard1]: ... Hyrule, you say?
  171. <Corsava> "Needless to say, things didn't go very well. We went into the desert to blow off some steam."
  172. <Corsava> "And then, just to highlight how poorly this week is going, we got jumped by a Leever. At least I did, because *someone* lost her swords."
  173. <DM> [Guard1]: And how, pray tell, did you meet with the desert sands without crossing through our Fortress?
  174. <DM> [Amina]: The river.
  175. <DM> [Guard]: The river as is... the one from Lake Hylia?
  176. <DM> [Amina]: My swords aren't particularly great at swimming, but we managed to trek back through the desert. We followed the mountain ridge till we arrived here. You can read the rest off of Cors- Nabila's leg.
  177. <DM> [Guard1]: The river doesn't split off into the desert.
  178. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* I'm blaming you for this one.
  179. <DM> [Amina]: ... remind me, what are your names again?
  180. <DM> [Guard1]: I am Ka'deja. My partner is Ay'esha.
  181. <DM> [Guard2]: Sav'aaq.
  182. <Corsava> "Sav'aaq."
  183. <DM> [Ka'deja]: Which... you would know that if you got approval to go out...
  184. <DM> *She puts one hand on the hilt of her blade, not drawing it yet.
  185. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* Got anymore excuses you'd like to try for the stealth tactic?
  186. <Corsava> "Forgive my friend's ignorance, she's clearly in shock from the Leever. The truth is that we left without permission in the first place. We snuck out."
  187. <DM> *Roll Wisdom to bluff!
  188. <Corsava> $22d10
  189. <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 22 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 7, 10, 5, 5, 9, 10, 2, 4, 7, 5, 4, 6, 7, 7, 7, 10, 7, 8, 4, 9, 7 and 2. Total: 142. Successes: 20.
  190. <DM> $20d10
  191. <Navi> DM: You rolled 20 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 6, 3, 2, 2, 2, 8, 9, 7, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 5, 7, 10, 8, 4, 5 and 2. Total: 110. Successes: 14.
  192. <DM> *Ka'deja eyes you two sternly... but she takes her hand off the hilt. She bows slightly in apology.
  193. <DM> [Ka'deja]: Forgive me for accusing you of something petty. But, you understand why we have the rules...
  194. * Corsava bows back, matching her "I know, I'm sorry, I just have always been stricken with wanderlust, even as a little girl. It's hard to grow out of.
  195. <DM> [Amina]: Of course, with that wretched sorcerer gone, it's only understandable to be weary of dark forces. I apologize on behalf my Leever loving friend.
  196. <DM> [Ka'deja]: Of course. Please, enter before the storm worsens. I shall lead you two in. Ay'esha, take point on the gate.
  197. <DM> *Her partner nods and heads off to the top of the gate.
  198. <Corsava> "Of course, and thank you."
  199. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* Nice save.
  200. <DM> *Ay'esha opens the great gate, and Ka'deja leads you two into Gerudo Fortress, a great hive of scum and warriory- no wait, that's not how it goes.
  201. <DM> *You enter Gerudo Fortress, a desert valley with blocky sandstone buildings jutting out the cliffsides, tiering off into a series of terraces.
  202. * Corsava smiles quietly to myself, curious to see how my childhood home has changed
  203. <DM> *You spot mostly other Gerudo Warriors training out in the sun, sparring with each other with a clash of blades. It's... eerily similar to how it was for you 20 years ago, except there's now less than 50 Gerudo as opposed to several hundred.
  204. <DM> *Seems they've taken some losses since then...
  205. <DM> *You also see a handful of older Gerudo, still spry from their age, aided by younglings to plant trees and other plants (the not-so-carnivorous kind, you Leever lover) around the fortress to make it feel a tad more lively.
  206. <DM> *Ka'deja glances at you.
  207. * Corsava eyes widen in...surprise? Perhaps horror? Guilt? Dozens of different emotions churn within Corsava's head, seeing that her people's numbers have been so thoroughly diminished
  208. <DM> [Ka'deja]: You must've been out there for a while. You look like you're just seeing this place for the first time.
  209. <DM> [Amina]: It's been a long trip, we're quite tired, you see.
  210. <DM> *Ka'deja seems slightly more wary of your partner than she is of you.
  211. <Corsava> "I've been away for quite a time. I suspect longer than I even realize..."
  212. * Corsava curls my lips inward and bites on them softly, wondering just what has happened to destroy my people so thoroughly that we could be considered an endangered species
  213. <DM> *The city is well sized, but you're pretty sure there's less people than there are buildings here.
  214. <DM> *Behind you, you hear the great gate to the desert closing.
  215. <DM> [Amina]: I was hoping we could take a chance to cleanse our spirits and pray to the Goddesses.
  216. <DM> [Ka'deja]: Why of course. You should be able to wash the dust from your bodies and the green guts staining your friend's leg there.
  217. * Corsava bows to her thankfully "I appreciate it. Thank you."
  218. <DM> [Amina]: Thank you, Ka'deja.
  219. <DM> *Ka'deja raises an eyebrow at the two of you.
  220. <DM> [Ka'deja]: ... you do not speak the Gerudo language for your thanks.
  221. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* Oh f-
  222. <DM> *FYI, you recall the phrase for Thank You is Sarqso.
  223. <Corsava> "As I said, we've been out for a while, travelling. Much of that time was spent elsewhere. Sarqso."
  224. <DM> [Amina]: Sarqso.
  225. <Corsava> "Sa'otten, I'm going to have to relearn all of my manners."
  226. <DM> *Amina heads towards the south tier of buildings, which is less of a terrace and more of a temple carved out of the mountain.
  227. <DM> [Ka'deja]: Amina, the shrine is not that way.
  228. * Corsava speaks up to Amina "This way."
  229. * Corsava leads her to the shrine
  230. <Corsava> "When we're rested, I'll have to have a look at that head."
  231. <DM> *Amina bows quickly to Ka'deja and then follows el Nabila.
  232. <DM> [Amina]: Indeed. My apologies.
  233. <DM> *You two escape the gaze of the guard, Ka'deja, as you, Corsava, use your 20-year old memories to guide you to....
  234. * DM maps some stuff out real fast... yeah, you're totally going to the right place.
  235. * Corsava sighs "So, I'm going to do a majority of the talking, alright? You're going to stick out like a Voe the second you open your mouth if you aren't careful."
  236. <DM> [Amina]: I'm having trouble with the mannerisms.
  237. <DM> [Amina]: Yeah, I'll let you do the talking from now on.
  238. <DM> *You advance to the third terrace, Sav'aaq a few Gerudo on the way, and find yourselves in... abandoned home. The seemingly one building that has not been kept up well over the years.
  239. <DM> [Amina]: ... the heck?
  240. <DM> [Amina]: Nice shrine you've found.
  241. <Corsava> "So, what exactly is our plan. Do you know where we need to go?"
  242. <DM> [Amina]: Yeah, it's the direction I was trying to take us, but that darn guard is onto us, or at least... me.
  243. <Corsava> "...Amina, don't be stupid. We don't still need to go to the shrine now that we're not being watched. I just needed a place that's not going to have anybody watching us while we talk."
  244. <DM> [Amina]: ... wow, you have more intelligence than I gave you credit for.
  245. <DM> [Amina]: And where, pray tell exactly, is this?
  246. * Corsava looks at the building and tries the door
  247. <DM> [Amina]: Why the one abandoned building in the entirety of the city.
  248. <DM> *You push the door two inches before it succumbs to poor maintenance and just crumbles inwards.
  249. <Corsava> "It's not the one abandoned building. There are probably many. It's just the one that I knew would be here."
  250. * Corsava takes a step inside
  251. <DM> [Amina]: ... I see.
  252. <DM> *Corsava, you take one step inside, and you realize why you went here as opposed to... elsewhere.
  253. <Corsava> "This was my home as a child."
  254. <DM> *That dusty, unkempt floor, that tasty ceiling of collapsing goodness, some broken down pots that were too reluctant of the plot to withstand the test of time...
  255. <DM> *Yes, welcome back to your home, after 20 years.
  256. <Corsava> "We'll be able to construct a proper plan here."
  257. <DM> *At that moment, a piece of the ceiling caves in at the corner, letting a bit of sunlight filter in and shine a light on just how much dust is in here.
  258. <DM> *You think maybe you could swim in it...
  259. <DM> [Amina]: ... nice house.
  260. <DM> *She reluctantly follows behind you, taking care not to sink into the dust.
  261. <Corsava> "Even back then, it was hardly impressive."
  262. <Corsava> "So, we need to get to the south side then?"
  263. <DM> [Amina]: Yes. There's a Fairy Fountain there, and coincidentally, I believe it's also Nabooru's shrine.
  264. <DM> [Amina]: There, we can find the Lens of Truth, which is rather necessary for achieving our goals.
  265. <DM> [Amina]: I'm mildly regretting not snatching it when Agahnim was ruling her, buuuut it shouldn't be too difficult to get to it.
  266. <DM> *was ruling here
  267. <Corsava> "Well, we'll have an easier time getting there this way. [casts Illusion of Invisibility on herself and Amina]
  268. <DM> *You two turn invisible... except you're tracking dust off your feet.
  269. <DM> [Amina]: ... pro.
  270. * Corsava steps out of the building and dusts myself off
  271. <DM> *Amina steps out and does the same, then leads the way.
  272. <DM> *Thankfully, you have spirit vision.
  273. <DM> *OR ELSE THIS WOULD BE A REALLY BAD PLAN.
  274. * Corsava follows her, wondering if she can see me
  275. <DM> *Amina turns around to see you following her. Weird, you know Bloodwind doesn't have Spirit Vision, and yet somehow, he can see you perfectly fine.
  276. <DM> *Alrighty, the two of you sneak around through the Gerudo Fortress a bit, going from the north terraces to the south temple. You sneak in without much effort. You progress through a few rooms, each of which have seen somewhat recent battle. One of the great halls even has, for whatever reason, a massive frigin' boulder in the middle of it.
  277. <Corsava> "Huh...well that's a bad sign."
  278. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* Ah yes, last time I was here, the great spirits of the world summoned me to a realm beyond that of mortals, and for whatever reason, I got to... what's the phrase, "DM" your former comrades.
  279. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* It was rather entertaining, but the forces pulled back to the mortal realm before I could see the ending. I didn't get to see how Agahnim died.
  280. <Corsava> "I don't know what that means."
  281. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* That's... probably for the best. Needless to say, powerful as I am, I have to admit, I am mildly afraid of that one lizard...
  282. <DM> *You see his soul shiver at the mention of said lizard.
  283. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* Physics just... doesn't work as well as it should around that beingg.
  284. <Corsava> "I...see"
  285. <DM> *After passing through enough rooms, you reach a more elegant room with a red carpet leading down the middle towards a throne room chair. ... at least, it should be elegant, but this whole room is scarred by battle. Blast marks extend all the way to the corners, you can trace sword slices across the sandstone from one end to the other.
  286. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* Huh, though they would've fixed this room up by now.
  287. <DM> *On the other side, behind the throne room chair, a door opens, revealing a Gerudo wearing...
  288. <Corsava> "From what I can tell, the Gerudo have more pressing matters. There are so few that they must have had some kind of mass exodus."
  289. <DM> *You halt your words right as you notice the door opening.
  290. <DM> *Corsava, you recall as a child, that at the time, Gerudo had a king, and he wore an ornate black armor, and on his back was a great claymore.
  291. <DM> *This Gerudo woman is wearing that same armor, with that same claymore on her back.
  292. * Corsava wonders if she can see us
  293. <DM> *Surprisingly, it fits her. She's remarkably... a little more buff than the sleek, athletic forms of most Gerudo, though most of that is obscured under armor.
  294. <DM> *She scans the room, and she doesn't appear to see you...
  295. <DM> *She turns away from your general direction and takes a few steps to the side, deep in thought.
  296. * Corsava quietly walks into the room
  297. <DM> *Roll Wisdom to sneak on in, no attack dice added.
  298. <Corsava> $22d10
  299. <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 22 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 10, 1, 9, 6, 10, 5, 4, 4, 4, 1, 5, 9, 4, 6, 10, 5, 3, 8, 2, 6, 3 and 7. Total: 122. Successes: 16.
  300. <DM> *Unfortunately for you, Corsava, you're not sneaking so much as, well...
  301. <DM> *Suddenly, the Gerudo swings her blade towards the door with great force!
  302. <DM> $35d10
  303. <Navi> DM: You rolled 35 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 2, 1, 2, 8, 1, 9, 2, 5, 10, 1, 5, 9, 7, 5, 3, 10, 8, 7, 1, 2, 5, 4, 7, 5, 9, 10, 3, 10, 5, 5, 7, 6, 6, 8 and 4. Total: 192. Successes: 27.
  304. <DM> *Your attempt to sneak in is blocked off by a great blade.
  305. <DM> *The black armored Gerudo now stands in your way, looking directly at you despite you being invisible.
  306. * Corsava waves a hand slowly to see if her eyes follow it
  307. <DM> *Not quite, actually.
  308. <DM> [Gerudo]: Your soul is tainted. Reveal yourself. Now.
  309. <DM> *You gleam into her soul, and it shines a radiant gold, the likes of which mirror the sun. It's almost blinding to look at. Though, through the glare, you can see a hint of darkness.
  310. * Corsava "I was just in the Twilight Realm not long ago. It's exactly as fun as it sounds. Now what in the name of the goddesses has happened to our people?
  311. <DM> [Gerudo]: Remove the illusions of invisibility first, before I remove them with first. Both of you.
  312. <Corsava> "You used first twice in the same sentence"
  313. * Corsava drops concentration on the invisibility
  314. * DM appears to have typo'd.
  315. <DM> *Both yours and Amina's invisibility fades away, revealing you two as totally legit Gerudo. Well, one of is legit, the other...
  316. <Corsava> "I'm going to draw my weapon, but only because yours is drawn. Alternatively, you could stow yours, and then we can talk."
  317. <DM> [Amina]: Sav'aaq.
  318. <DM> *She takes a good look at both of you, glaring as she pulls her great claymore back to a more defensive stance.
  319. <DM> [Gerudo]: ... I do not recognize either of you. State your names.
  320. <DM> *FYI, as you crossed your way through here, there were virtually no guards. You're pretty sure you're alone with this Gerudo, though... beyond the door, there's one more soul on the other side.
  321. * Corsava draws the broken bow slowly.
  322. <Corsava> "Nabila."
  323. <DM> *You draw your pair of scimitars. She eyes them for a moment...
  324. <Corsava> "I've been away for twenty years, since I was a girl. How did our people come to this lamentable state while I was gone?"
  325. <DM> [Gerudo]: Those are pair of finely crafted blades. Sharper than most blades. You say... twenty years?
  326. <DM> [Gerudo]: Then, why does your soul look so tainted...
  327. <Corsava> "Give or take. It's hard to tell time in that miserable place."
  328. <DM> [Gerudo]: I do not recognize the name Nabila...
  329. <Corsava> "You wouldn't. When I left, there were enough of us that we did not know everyone else."
  330. <DM> *She takes another look at your friend and her uhh... extremely questionable soul. Which is still slightly in flux ever since Kirran & Hal interrupted it earlier today.
  331. <DM> *She raises her blade towards your friend.
  332. <DM> [Gerudo]: Hold on. I know you.
  333. <DM> [Amina]: Sav'aaq. I am Amina-
  334. <DM> [Gerudo]: Bloodwind.
  335. * Corsava looks between them
  336. <DM> [Amina]: ..... whelp, gigs up.
  337. <Corsava> "Uh...is that like, her last name?"
  338. <DM> *Amina gives up her own illusion of disguise and sound, revealing her true form - Bloodwind.
  339. <Corsava> "Is...Amina, you're a VOE?!"
  340. <DM> [Bloodwind]: I was just following this contemptable soul around, and next thing I know, you show up, Ahlma.
  341. <DM> *He raises his darkness covered arms in a "whatever" pose.
  342. <DM> *The Gerudo, now aptly named Ahlma, takes on a more offensive stance.
  343. <DM> [Ahlma]: I know not who you are, Nabila, but I trust you more than Bloodwind there.
  344. * Corsava clicks my blades together "Ahlma, who *is* this voe?"
  345. <DM> *She starts to float in the air, presumably courtesies of her black armor's powers, as she readies a great swing.
  346. <DM> [Ahlma]: A horrible villain that worked with Agahnim to enslave our people with corruption and darkness.
  347. <DM> [Bloodwind]: I mean, I could try to reasonably defend myself, but I doubt you'd listen.
  348. <DM> [Ahlma]: You'll never get to Nabooru. We remaining sisters will make sure you never leave here alive, fiend!
  349. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Woah, hold the hostilities, I'm just here to pick up an artifact that Agahnim hid here, no need to start killing.
  350. <DM> [Ahlma]: Nabila, will you strike with me?
  351. * Corsava loads my silver trident into the bow and aims it as though frightened "I- I don't understand what's going on. I was in the Twilight realm. She helped me there. Why would she help me and then- I-
  352. <DM> (pro, sire. Pro.))
  353. <DM> [Bloowind]: And as you can see, I reasonably tricked Nabila over here into leading me straight to the Lens of Truth. Now, if you'd just move out of the way, I'd really rather not have to-
  354. <DM> *Ahlma goes in for an attack with her King's Claymore!
  355. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *sighs* Well, so much for that...
  356. <DM> *She flies up towards the ceiling, then descends with a great swing from her blade!
  357. <DM> $40d10
  358. <Navi> DM: You rolled 40 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 7, 7, 6, 1, 6, 6, 6, 5, 2, 10, 7, 2, 7, 4, 2, 9, 9, 6, 5, 3, 4, 4, 5, 3, 8, 9, 10, 4, 5, 7, 8, 1, 3, 3, 2, 9, 8, 7, 3 and 10. Total: 223. Successes: 28.
  359. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Well, time to test this out...
  360. <DM> *Bloodwind materializes his newly acquired Twilight Mirror. He pre-emptively fires a portal at the ceiling above and behind Ahlma, letting her freely strike him!
  361. * Corsava uses Spirit Power
  362. <DM> *Simply holding his shield up, Ahlma's sword begins its slash towards Bloodwind, but it's caught inside of the shield. Inside of freely blasting it to the side, the blade enters the shield and, Corsava, you see the blade appear from the portal behind Ahlma.
  363. <DM> *Not wanting to get pulled in by the shield herself, she lets go of the sword, unaware that it's about to fall on her from above.
  364. <DM> *Corsava, would you like to intervene and maintain your cover, or let it fall into her back?
  365. <DM> [Ahlma]: What?! What power is this?!
  366. * Corsava fires my trident at the sword
  367. <DM> *Roll away!
  368. <Corsava> $55d10
  369. <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 55 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 285. Successes: 35.
  370. <DM> (Wow, Ahlma was so distracted by Bloodwind, she did not notice the bow...)
  371. <Corsava> "Ahlma, he reflected your sword above you! He can use y- our attacks against us!"
  372. <DM> *Actly swiftly, your fire your Trident from your Golden Bow and deflect Ahlma's sword to the side, preventing her from impaling herself.
  373. <DM> *She turns around just in time to see you saving her.
  374. <DM> *Both the Trident and her sword are on the other side of the room now.
  375. <DM> *Ahlma backs up quickly to where her sword is. Bloodwind continues to stand there, marveling at the shield's power.
  376. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Huh. Didn't even have to do anything.
  377. <DM> [Bloodwind]: So, if you two would stop swinging your swords for a moment, I have no intention of killing you all. Unless...
  378. <DM> *In his other hand, he materializes the twin helixed Fierce Deity Sword.
  379. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Do you really want to try again?
  380. * Corsava splits the bow back into swords. "Ahlma...do you have another trick up your sleeve? I don't know what this voe is capable of, but that sword had a pretty scary name."
  381. * DM checks Ahlma's Wisdom.....
  382. <DM> *Yeah, she 100% did NOT notice the bow still.
  383. <DM> *HOW.
  384. <DM> *Ahlma tries to float resolutely, but upon staring into Bloodwind's soul, she starts to shake slightly.
  385. <DM> [Ahlma]: What... what in the world have you become since last time?
  386. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Two steps from a walking god?
  387. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Not quite godhood. Yet.
  388. <DM> *Ahlma grabs your Trident and floats on back to you, watching Bloodwind to see if he'll do anything else.
  389. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Now, my minion, Nabila, was it? Would you kindly enter that room back there and get me my little Lens of Truth for me?
  390. <DM> [Bloodwind]: I'll keep Miss Floatypie occupied by standing here menacingly.
  391. <DM> [Bloodwind]: And if you don't do what I tell you to, well.. I guess she won't be floating much longer.
  392. <Corsava> "The people of Hyrule...I mean, not like the country, the continent? Or are we a region on the continent? Regardless, they would surely band together to stop you, just like they stopped Ganon.
  393. <DM> *Surely, your fear is clouding you from being able to state what Hyrule is properly.
  394. <DM> *That's totally the reason. And not you just... well... being too idiotic to know what Hyrule actually is.
  395. * Corsava starts to slowly back towards the door, retrieving the trident. "Fine. You may have won the day, but your victory will be hollow and short-lived."
  396. <DM> *Ahlma is about to stop you, but Bloodwind raises his sword, still not moving from his spot.
  397. <DM> *Corsava, would you like to take your trident back?
  398. <DM> oh
  399. <DM> I
  400. <DM> grteagojtreiulasg
  401. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Keep the flimsy trident, young one, and enter that door.
  402. * Corsava shakes my head at Ahlma. "Ahlma, if I don't give it to him, he'll kill you. We need you to rally our people against monsters like him. So that when the time comes, we can fight as one."
  403. <DM> *She's uncertain still, but she nods.
  404. <DM> *She whispers back, out of earshot of Bloodwind.
  405. <DM> [Ahlma]: Don't worry, reinforcements will be here soon. We'll rid this vile being from our temple. Do as your told while I stall.
  406. <DM> *Bloodwind waves his sword lightly, almost swinging a magical burst of energy from it, but not quite.
  407. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Come now, no need to be secretive, just get a move on, already.
  408. * Corsava backs in through the doorway and goes to retrieve the lens, though somewhat slowly, and she has no idea where it is
  409. <DM> *Corsava, you enter the door, physically manifest and fuse with it, and instantly die- I'm kidding.
  410. <DM> *You get to the other side, the door closing behind you. There, it's... surprisingly dark. The only light comes from the turquoise bloom of the Fairy Fountain ahead. There resting in the middle of it is another Gerudo vai. Her lower legs are submerged in the fountain's waters as he continues her prayer. Without opening her eyes, she speaks to you.
  411. <DM> [Gerudo]: I assume you're here for the Lens of Truth.
  412. <DM> *She speaks rather calmly. You're kinda surprised she knows what you're after.
  413. <Corsava> "Well, sort of. I'd appreciate some delay in the whole thing thou- How do you know?"
  414. <DM> [Gerudo]: Spirit Vision. With Bloodwind here, there's only one thing he'd want.
  415. <DM> [Gerudo]: ... it truly has been awhile, hasn't it... Corsava.
  416. <Corsava> "Is there? Who...is h-"
  417. <Corsava> "I..."
  418. <DM> *She finally opens her eyes. With the glow illuminating her now, and the serene look upon her face, you're pretty sure you've seen pictures of her depicted in the streets of Hyrule City.
  419. <DM> *She's Nabooru, the Spirit Sage.
  420. <Corsava> "How do you know my name?"
  421. <DM> [Nabooru]: It's the color of your soul.
  422. <DM> [Nabooru]: No Gerudo has that color, except... one directly tainted by the witches, Koume and Kotake.
  423. <DM> [Nabooru]: I... thought you'd died when Ganondorf... ran out of control with that power.
  424. <Corsava> "Right..."
  425. <DM> *You vaguely recall flashes of something from about 20 years ago, when you were here. You thought it was raid that killed you... but... it's starting to become clear.
  426. <Corsava> "I'd...died when-"
  427. <DM> [Nabooru]: You didn't die. Your power... killed your family.
  428. <DM> [Nabooru]: At least, we thought you'd died with them...
  429. <DM> [Nabooru]: Welcome back, sister. I apologize if that came as a shock to you.
  430. <Corsava> I don't understand.
  431. <Corsava> "Why are you welcoming me when my soul is...this?"
  432. <DM> *She stands from the fountain and slowly steps towards you, resolute in her approach.
  433. <DM> [Nabooru]: Because, it was not your fault. It never was your fault...
  434. * Corsava quietly "Are you going to kill me?"
  435. <DM> *She grins softly.
  436. <DM> [Nabooru]: *quietly* Perhaps... but only if you continue your current path. For now, I have trust in you... that you will choose the right path.
  437. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *telepathically* Come on now, we don't have all day.
  438. <DM> [Nabooru]: ... he's nagging you about the Lens, isn't he.
  439. <DM> *Weird, the message was directed at you, yet somehow, she sensed it. You've noticed something else - this whole time, you haven't really... seen her soul, nor the color of it. It's somehow hidden from your perception.
  440. <Corsava> "I don't know who I am inside. How can you trust me, when I don't even know my own heart?
  441. <DM> *She gently places a single finger on your heart.
  442. <Corsava> "I can see red and violet, what if it's all that there is?"
  443. <DM> [Nabooru]: Because you are vai. You were born from the suns of the desert, and though you hold great corruption inside you... you still have control.
  444. <Corsava> "I...am vai."
  445. <DM> *You feel just the tiniest warmth in your heart. Last time you felt this, you were spirit siphoning Destra, the sister of Ganondorf.
  446. * Corsava bows her head to the spirit "Sarqso, but...how can I be sure that I can keep the corruption from overtaking me?"
  447. <DM> *Though from the memories you absorbed at the time, you almost immediately lost said warmth due to an emotional breakdown.
  448. <DM> *She takes a step back from you.
  449. <DM> [Nabooru]: As you are now, you don't. But, in time...
  450. <Corsava> "When the time is right, will I know what to do?"
  451. <DM> *Nearby, she pulls out a brick from the wall, and she grabs ahold of the Lens of Truth. You notice her spirit intensify to protect herself from the Lens' negative effects, and finally, you see the true spirit of a Gerudo.
  452. * Corsava eyes widen
  453. <DM> *Just by looking at her spiritual prowess, you behold a power that goes beyond life and mortality, as she connects with the greater powers of the Sacred Realm itself. You also see the spirits of those long passed on, her fellow sisters, all within her heart.
  454. <DM> *She hands you the Lens.
  455. <DM> [Nabooru]: That choice... is up to you.
  456. * Corsava takes the lens and looks back up at her
  457. <DM> [Nabooru]: Don't worry, your powers prevent you from falling to the Lens' ill effects.
  458. <Corsava> "My...powers?"
  459. <Corsava> "The mark?"
  460. <DM> *Your Dark Mark immediately reacts to the Lens, and you feel a surge of pain shoot through your hand, but you manage to hold onto the Lens just fine.
  461. <DM> [Nabooru]: ... those powers.
  462. * Corsava sucks in her breath at the pain
  463. <Corsava> "Thank you, sister."
  464. <DM> [Nabooru]: I know where Bloodwind intends to go. The Lens will lead you there... but not before showing you, and even him, the truth.
  465. <Corsava> "What truth is that?"
  466. <DM> *She bows lightly, not answering.
  467. <DM> [Nabooru]: Sav'orq, sister.
  468. * Corsava looks down at the lens "Sav'orq."
  469. <DM> *The lens shows you the true colors of your soul, which... you haven't quite peered into before now.
  470. <DM> *It's a swirl of madness, an entanglement of blood and violet, fluctuating wildly in response to your uncertainty. Yet, deep within... there is light. You try to peer deeper, but it masks itself from you.
  471. <DM> [Nabooru]: If you don't mind, close the door on your way out. I... need to return to my inner peace.
  472. <Corsava> "Of...course."
  473. * Corsava returns from the room, closing the door
  474. <DM> *You close the door behind you, annnd you look out from besides Ahlma to see Bloodwind...... surrounded by 15 Gerudo Warriors, about to strike.
  475. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Oh jeez, took you long enough.
  476. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Ready to go??
  477. <DM> [Ahlma]: You're not going anywhere, villain!
  478. * Corsava looks at him through the lens
  479. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Oh for heaven's sake- Corsava, drop the darn act already.
  480. <DM> *Corsava, you try to peer through, but Ahlma blocks your way, as if protecting you from Bloodwind. You just see Ahlma's radiant soul.
  481. <DM> [Ahlma]: Corsava? First you threaten her into getting the Lens, then try to trick me into saying she's the Corsava, vile Gerudo who'd slay her own family?!
  482. <DM> [Bloodwind]: ... huh, didn't know that fact.
  483. <Corsava> "Ahlma...a third of all living Gerudo are in this room."
  484. <Corsava> "What uh...what do you suppose happens if his mirror defense prevents us from harming him?
  485. <DM> *Ahlma turns around to face you to respond, Corsava, but with you holding up the Lens, she accidentally brushes with the Lens of Truth.
  486. * Corsava puts it away "Sorry."
  487. <DM> *Your madness ends up transfusing from you through the Lens and into you briefly.
  488. <DM> *Into her, derp

  509. * Corsava closes my hand tight "I have very little control now, the madness from the lens is a lot to take into myself from you."
  510. <DM> *The chaotic energies of corruption starts to coil around you. You're still in control, but those Gerudo are quite the nuisance. Rather than escaping, it might be nice if they were out of the way...
  511. <Corsava> "Please don't let him cost us one third of all living Gerudo. We must...persevere."
  512. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Good, now we make our escape- good lord what is happening to your body.
  513. * Corsava closes my eyes, drawing the silver trident, I release the madness into it, as I've done so many times before.

  585. <DM> *Corsava, you meanwhile do a flip in the air and land gracefully on your feet next to Bloodwind.
  586. * Corsava uses my broken bow to fire the trident into the distance, hoping it lands outside of the walls
  587. <DM> *There is a window you can indeed fire out of from here. Conveniently.

  592. <DM> *Lessee, that takes you... pretty good.
  593. <DM> *That sucker zooms the heck out of that window, though you can't see any further than that, so you have no idea where that thing landed, except that it went upwards.
  594. * Corsava grabs him and Dark Warps with the trident
  595. <Corsava> *to the trident
  596. <Corsava> "Well, I hope it's landed"
  597. <DM> *You and Bloodwind appear where the trident is... about 20 feet over the Gerudo Gate to the desert. There, looking down, you see those two gate guards from before, Ka'deja and Ay'esha.
  598. * Corsava grabs it
  599. * Corsava makes an aerial shot into the distance with the broken bow and the trident
  600. <DM> *Bloodwind looks at the trajectory of that shot.

  606. <Navi> Corsava: You rolled 61 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 328. Successes: 42.
  607. <DM> *Let's see, this technically counts as a Leap Attack, and as stated in voice, you said you're aiming to take you "as far away as possible from the Gerudo Fortress".
  608. <DM> *I should reiterate - you were 20 feet above the Gate.
  609. <DM> *Not the ground.
  610. <DM> *I DIDN'T STATE HOW FAR ABOVE THE GROUND YOU WERE.
  611. <Corsava> Yeet!
  612. <DM> *So 42 x 1.5 = 61 successes......
  613. <DM> *Ka'deja looks up at you two in surprise, about to attack, when suddenly, she hears a "Yeeeeee-" cut off you two suddenly blinking out, and the sound turns into a quickly diminishing "-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!"
  614. <DM> *Corsava, you and Bloodwind appear REALLY FAR AWAY into the desert. Not only that, but you are... let's see, what's the *furthest trajectory* that should shot you, combined with the height of the gate, add the 20, round the decimal, annnd...
  615. <DM> *You're now falling 70 feet. To your doom.
  616. * Corsava uses my magic feather 3 times?
  617. * Corsava nvm
  618. * Corsava uses Air Dash once at the end to cancel the falling velocity
  619. <Corsava> "Jump!"
  620. <DM> *Right before hitting the ground, you break physics ala Dex style, and you're about to land gracefully on the ground........
  621. <DM> *Until Bloodwind lands on your back.

  636. <DM> *Kay,, you take the 26 vs. the 29...
  637. <DM> *You attempt to land gracefully, but Bloodwind gracefully plants his feet on your back before flipping off it and land next to you.
  638. <DM> *You, meanwhile, get kicked to the ground, taking 3 neutral damage and a faceful of sand.
  639. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Please think before you shoot next time.
  640. <Corsava> "What? We made it away safely."
  641. <DM> [Bloodwind]: You could've aimed a bit downwards...
  642. <Corsava> "But then we'd be falling at the speed that the trident goes!"
  643. <Corsava> "...I think?"
  644. <Corsava> "...I'm not 100% sure how the momentum works. Sometimes I have it and sometimes not."
  645. <DM> *You recall yeeting yourself across the Twilight Realm with Hal using that thing, annnd momentum didn't kill you then.
  646. <Corsava> "So, we've got the mirror, but, why do we need it?"
  647. <DM> *He looks back, and you guys are so far away, the sandstorm is blocking the view of Gerudo Gate. Even with your ability to see clearly through weather, you apparently have genuinely traveled a great distance and can barely see the mountain.
  648. <Corsava> *lens
  649. <DM> [Bloodwind]: *sighs* Fine, I guess that worked...
  650. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Well, you see...
  651. <DM> *He takes it from you briefly, and tries to look through it... but nothing happens.
  652. <DM> *He puts to the veil of darkness covering his face.
  653. <DM> [Bloodwind]: I can't use it. So I'm relying on you to be trustworthy with it.
  654. <Corsava> It's...a helmet?"
  655. <Corsava> "Oh"
  656. <DM> *...
  657. <DM> *He considers whacking you over the head with the Fierce Deity Sword... but he decides to dematerialize it for now.
  658. <DM> [Bloodwind]: I'll kill you later.
  659. <DM> *He hands the Lens back.
  660. <Corsava> "Who with the what now?"
  661. * Corsava takes the lens and looks at it
  662. <Corsava> "Why can I use it, then?"
  663. * Corsava looks at him through it
  664. <DM> *You look through it at him, and the moment you do, you hear those Interloper whispers. Sure enough, lurking in his shadow like an apparition, there's an Interloper grasping at his soul constantly. Bloodwind casually stares back at you through the lens.
  665. <DM> [Bloodwind]: It's the joys of being merged with an Interloper. The darned thing clouds me from seeing the truth.
  666. <Corsava> "It's like...kinda molesting you."
  667. <DM> [Bloodwind]: ...
  668. <DM> *Through the lens, you can see a twitching expression beneath the darkness covering his face.
  669. <DM> *You still can't see his true face, but... you can definitely tell you're gradually ticking him off.
  670. <Corsava> "So, what do we want with this lens, anyhow?"
  671. <DM> [Bloodwind]: Aim it at the desert. Look around for marker poles sticking out of the sands in the distance.
  672. * Corsava points it at the desert
  673. <DM> [Bloodwind]: At least, that's what I heard it's supposed to do. If not, we just spent that time in the fortress doing absolutely nothing...
  674. <DM> *You look around across the desert. There are no markers or poles sticking out anywhere, just this great, impending darkness encroaching upon you two. Looking up at it, you realize you've seen this before...
