  1. LOIC for mac
  2.
  3. Get LOIC for windows from: http://pastehtml.com/view/1c8i33u.html
  4.
  5. Needed Programs:
  6.
  7. x11: Found at http://developer.apple.com/opensource/tools/x11.html
  8. Wine: http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX
  9. Winebottler (a wine tricks that allows you to make the .exe into a mac app currently working on this so I can send it out the problem is the app doesn't finish creating the app) http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/
  10.
  11. Open the .exe of LOIC from the folder downloaded.
  12. This should bring up winebottler and give the options of opening it up in wine or creating it in winebottler to be distributed. Select the second option.
  13. In the create custom prefix list scroll down to dotnet20 and click the check box that says "Include wine binaries so the program can run without the previous install of wine".
  14. Then Click install.
  15.
  16. The program will ask you to install dotnet framework do this and when done it should open up the LOIC with hivemind options. The program will be a bit buggy but it works pretty much the same as the one for windows.
  17.
  18. The wine may not finish but this doesn't matter. As I write this I am in the hivemind and my wine process has not finished. IT failed many times before but right now it seems to be stuck. I don't know what clicking on the x to cancel it will do.
  19.
  20. Clicking the x will close the program and cause it to abort. I am trying to find a workaround for this so if anyone would like to help please do.
  21.
  22. Link to photo of it working on my mac: http://s1190.photobucket.com/albums/z448/sambil2/?action=view&current=Screenshot2010-12-08at20013PM.png
