[17:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> After their harrowing experience on the swamp planet, Advance Team 1 finally managed to return to Destiny. Itchy and injured, they were escourted to Medical, where a light yellow earth pony placed them into a quaranteen ward to begin checking them out.
[17:12] * Swoop just lays on the exam table, not wanting to move... moving equals itching...
[17:13] * Swept_Wing grumbles. He doesn't like being confined to the medical bay, even if he did itch everywhere.
[17:13] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Having just finished looking over Snow Cone and administering a generous amount of healing potions and ointment, she moves on to Swept running a medical device over him, "Oh you poor things... what happened down there?"
[17:14] <Swept_Wing> "Giant fuckin' mosquitos."
[17:14] <Swept_Wing> "Not only do they make you itch outside, but inside as well."
[17:15] <Swoop> "Worst. Planet. Ever... Of all time."
[17:15] <Swept_Wing> "Yep."
[17:16] <Chameleon> Spades is probably over by Snow doing stuff
[17:17] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The doctor's eyes widen, "Oh dear, that doesn't sound like a mosquito at all... and from these scans... it seems as though each of you may have been injected with some sort of genetic material..." She hurriedly turns around and pulls potions from a cart behind her, hoofing them to Swept before grabbing the cart and distributing some more to each of you.
[17:17] * Swoop takes the medicine. "And this'll do.. what?"
[17:18] <Swept_Wing> "And what do you mean by, 'genetic material'?"
[17:18] * Astera blinks. "We have something inside us?" She takes the potion in her magic, glancing at it.
[17:18] * Chameleon is now known as Spades_Slick
[17:18] * Swept_Wing takes the potion.
[17:19] * Spades_Slick potion gets!
[17:20] * Clara is currently holding the larva pod, looking at it. She's not really paying attention to the doctors, or anyone else.
[17:20] <GM||WavemasterRyx> She shakes her head, "It seems to be inert, at the moment. We'll have to keep you under observation though... Try and purge it slowly... The medicine should help with the itching though, and heal your wounds, which fortunately don't seem serious."
[17:21] * Swoop downs the medicine instantly.
[17:21] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The ship shudders as the wave of magic washes through it from jumping into FTL.
[17:21] * Spades_Slick drinks his potion
[17:22] * Swept_Wing drinks his potion.
[17:23] * Astera frowns and downs the medicine. "So you are saying that this, thing inside us, have a chance to evolve? Where does this leave us? Do we have to stay in quarantaine?"
[17:23] <GM||WavemasterRyx> One of the ponies that had escourted you to Medical, a lavender unicorn in security barding is looking at Clara, "Excuse me, Cadet, what is that thing you have there?"
[17:26] * Clara scrunches her nose and looks at the pony. "I said when we came back through... it's one of the larva."
[17:26] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The doctor looks down at her instrument as she sweeps it carefully over the rest of you, evaluating your conditions as the healing potions take effect, "Your exposure seems to be very minimal, Countess, but so far it doesn't seem to be doing anything to any of you... except to Miss Clara there..."
[17:27] * Spades_Slick looks to Clara. He wasn't sure how she normally was so chalked her weird behavior up to not knowing her. perhaps he was wrong.
[17:29] * Astera raises an eyebrow, still frowning she nods slowly. "Alright, fair enough." Glancing over at Clara she adds, "And what about Clara?"
[17:29] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The security pony turns her nose up, "Ugh... I'll contact whoever's in the lab then... we need to get it in containment..."
[17:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The doctor gives her best reassuring smile, "Well... as far as I can tell... the genetic material is breaking down very slowly in all of you, except for her... her body seems to be... absorbing it..."
[17:32] * Clara frowns slightly. "Can I bring it...? I want to make sure it will be okay."
[17:33] * Swoop just lays there and enjoys the feeling of not-itch claiing her body.
[17:33] <Swoop> claiming*
[17:35] * Astera chews on a lower lip for a bit. "And what do you this eventually would lead too?"
[17:35] <Astera> you think*
[17:36] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The security pony groans and looks at the doctor. The doctor just smiles, "It will be fine here as long as they're under quaranteen. The scientists can look at it later. For now, I just want all of you to get some rest. Potions and ointments are nice, but your bodies still experienced trauma."
[17:37] * Swept_Wing grunts. "I need a beer."
[17:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> She looks at Astera, "I'm not sure yet. All I can tell is that she isn't in any danger at the moment, none of you are." She giggles a little at Swept, "No alcohol for tonight, dear."
[17:38] <Swoop> "I'll buy bro."
[17:39] <Spades_Slick> Cammy is probably wasting her R&R time getting drunk and singing loudly in the bar already
[17:40] <Swoop> "So when can we get out of here?
[17:40] <Swoop> "
[17:41] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The security pony shakes her head and trots out of medical. The doctor smiles at her on the way out before turning back to you, "Don't worry, it'll just be a day. Then we'll let you get back to your regular quarters, as long as there are no complications."
[17:42] <Swoop> "A day without booze?? Swept! It's torture!"
[17:43] * Clara goes back to staring at the larva. She still feels a little strange, though nowhere near as overwhelmed as she did back on the planet.
[17:44] * Astera sighs. "So stuck here for a day, then. Great. Just, fantastic." She mutters and goes to lay down somewhere.
[17:44] * Spades_Slick sighs and lays down
[17:44] * Swept_Wing groans. "Well, this is fucking great."
[17:46] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There are good number of medical beds laid out in the quaranteen area. The doctor gives a very light laugh, "If you'd like, I can get you something to help each of you sleep, I'm sure you could use the rest anyways, but it would help the day pass easier."
[17:46] <Swoop> "Rum!"
[17:47] <Swept_Wing> "Yes, rum would be good."
[17:48] <GM||WavemasterRyx> She laughs again, a very light, cheerful laugh. The doctor then winks and starts for the door, "Give me a few minutes and I'll see what I can do."
[17:48] * Astera "She did say no alcohol for tonight.." Glancing over at the doctor again, "Is there anyplace I can smoke?"
[17:49] <Swoop> "Yeah because smoking is so much better for you..."
[17:51] * Astera glances at Swoop and shrugs.
[17:51] <GM||WavemasterRyx> She stops at the door, "Oh, I do believe there's a fume hood in the corner. If you stand there and turn it on you can smoke, but it's prohibited anywhere else in Medical."
[17:53] * Swept_Wing shrugs. "I don't mind the occasional cigarette myself."
[17:54] <Swoop> "Cigars aren't cigarettes, Swept."
[17:55] <Swept_Wing> "True, true. Just trying to make my point."
[17:55] * Astera moves over to the fume hoof and lights a cigarette as she turns it on. Magic is such a wonderful thing. Slowly she floats the packate over to Swept, giving him a leveled look.
[17:56] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The doctor exits the room with a nod, leaving the lot of you alone in the Quaranteen bay.
[18:00] * Clara is still pretty captivated by the larva. She's wondering... what will happen with it?
[18:01] * Swoop gets off the table and stretches. "Ah... to not itch is the loveliest of feelings... Clara, you agree right?"
[18:04] * Spades_Slick fidgets in agreement. His blood not feeling like it was made of molten magma was a wonderful thing.
[18:08] * Clara isn't really paying attention.
[18:10] * Swoop feels the pause. "... Clara? Hello? "Equis to Clara, come in."
[18:12] * Clara is busy thinking about what will happen with the larva. She feels responsible for it.
[18:13] * Swoop trots up to Clara and pokes her. "Hey! Bugs!"
[18:13] * Astera sits down, watching Swoop and Clara.
[18:13] * Clara jerks in surprise, turning to give Swoop a look that says 'Why would you do that?'
[18:14] <Swoop> "Unresponsive much? I been calling you for like an hour."
[18:16] * Clara just frowns. Doesn't she understand?
[18:17] <Swoop> "I don't read face-language. Wanna tell me what I'm missing?"
[18:18] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The doctor pony trots back into the room a short while later, balancing a tray on her back with a bottle of rum and six shot glasses. She sets it onto one of the examination tables and smiles wide, saying in a singsong voice, "For medicinal purposes only~" She then steps back out of the Quaranteen area, "Have a good, restful night, okay?"
[18:21] * Swoop sighs and turns to the rum. "Bugs are weird..."
[18:22] * Clara doesn't really know how to explain it. She just sort of looks back to the larva and watches it.
[18:22] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The larva just twirls lazily in its chamber, like larva do. Because larva.
[18:22] * Spades_Slick watches the doctor leave
[18:23] * Astera is still smoking. Glancing over the room.
[18:23] * Spades_Slick notices the Doctor has a /fine/ flank.
[18:24] <Swoop> "Alright, who's up for a drink?"
[18:27] * Spades_Slick looks at the rum and sits up "Why not."
[18:28] * Swoop pours three drinks to start, hoofs one to Swept and one to Spades. "Anypony else?"
[18:28] * Astera nods. "Please."
[18:29] * Swoop gives Astera hers.
[18:29] * Astera twirls the shot glass and gives it a sniff.
[18:30] * Swoop giggles. "First time with it?"
[18:31] * Astera casts a glance at Swoop, raising en eyebrow before nodding slowly. "Rum? Yes, yes it is."
[18:32] <Swoop> "My advice, take it fast at first."
[18:32] * Spades_Slick downs his shot with barely a change in facial expression
[18:33] * Clara watches the larva twirl. She's pretty captivated. She's whispering. "Why do I feel this way...? Why do you feel so important, little one?"
[18:33] * Swoop trots back over to the rum and pours herself a shot, downing it in one go. "Aww yeah! That's momma's little helper."
[18:34] * Astera blinks. "Fast, eh? Alright then." Giving the glass another twirl she downs it all at once. Swallowing she gives out a wheezing cough and scruchies her nose.
[18:34] * Swoop smiles at Astera. "Yeah that happens for everypony first time. Want another?"
[18:35] * Spades_Slick allows himself a small smirk at Astera's reaction
[18:36] * Astera closes her eyes for a second and floats the glass to Swoop. "That.. Was pretty good, once you get past the sensation of your throat burning, of course."
[18:37] * Swoop pours another shot. "Thats why I said do it fast. The burning doesn't last as long that way."
[18:38] * Spades_Slick gets a second shot for himself as well
[18:39] * Astera floats the shotglass back. "This is sound advice... " She says with a slight smirk as she downs the second glass aswell.
[18:40] * Swoop pours another shot, and sets it next to Clara, poking her again.
[18:41] * Swept_Wing has totally been drinking with them this whole time.
[18:42] * Spades_Slick relaxes as the rum take effect. maybe now he'll not be such an uptight stoic asshole! Don't count on it!
[18:45] * Swoop pours herself another shot and downs it hardcore.
[18:46] * Astera floats her glass back to Swoop. "Another, please... " She looks up towards the roof and sighing softly. "So where do you think we will go next?"
[18:46] * Spades_Slick looks at his empty shotglass and decides to pour and drink a third
[18:47] * Swoop pours the requested shot. "I dunno. Just hope it isn't infested with termites."
[18:47] * Clara blinks and turns to look at Swoop, questioningly.
[18:47] * Swoop points at the shot next to Clara and pantomimes drinking.
[18:49] * Astera smiles at Swoop, taking the glass and giving it a sniff. "You know this dosnt smell so bad.." Waving a hoof dismissivly. "Im sure that the next planet we visit will have at least five zombie canibal death creatures in every corner. At least."
[18:49] * Clara inspects the drink carefully. After a moment of careful inspection, she drinks it.
[18:49] <Spades_Slick> "I say 7. At least that might be a challenge."
[18:49] <Swoop> "Oh, so we'll have an easy time then."
[18:50] * Swoop laughs and pours another one, settling down back on her bed to enjoy it.
[18:51] * Astera sips this drink slowler, taking it in turns. "And of course we cannot forgett the horrible desiese, oh and the awefull, awefull weather that we are surely to get wherever we go next."
[18:52] * Swoop raises her glass. "Yep. And of course the giant Monster-for-an-island the Gate's attached to.
[18:52] <Swoop> "
[18:53] * Spades_Slick takes another shot. Being tipsy was shortlived. he needed to fix that.
[18:55] * Clara isn't sure how she likes this drink. It tastes strange and she feels a little weird.
[18:55] * Spades_Slick gives up with a 'bluuuuuuh' and lays back down. It'd probably take him the entire bottle to get anywhere.
[18:55] * Swoop smirks at Clara. "Good yeah?"

[19:00] * Clara just sort of looks at Swoop, confused.
[19:00] <Swoop> "Want another?"
[19:02] * Clara frowns and shakes her head.
[19:03] * Swoop scoffs. "More for us." Pours one more.
[19:05] * Astera peers at the bottle. "Is there enough for me to have another?"
[19:06] * Swoop nods happily and holds up the bottle, it's still just over half full.
[19:07] * Astera smiles at that. "Excelent, pour me another one!" She hooves her glass over.
[19:07] * Swoop pours again.
[19:08] * Clara returns to whispering to the larva. "How will you turn out...? Will you be like the others, still, or will you be friendly, like us...?"
[19:09] <Swoop> "Whuzzat Clara? Say somethin?"
[19:10] * Clara is no longer paying attention to anypony again. Just... whispering to the larva.
[19:10] * Swoop grunts. "You could at least acknowledge my existence..."
[19:11] * Astera takes the glass and downs it. Laying down and enjoys the warm sensation.
[19:19] * Swept_Wing has drank just as much as Swoop by now.
[19:23] <GM||WavemasterRyx> After some more cheerful drinking, the team settles down to sleep. It's a very peaceful sleep from which you gradually awaken. Opening your eyes, the difference is immediate, your surroundings are lit in a dull red and there's absolutely no sound except for your breathing, and none of you see eachother either.
[19:23] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There is a violent shake and your eyes shoot open as the wave of magic from dropping out of FLT sweeps over you. Everything you can see is suddenly back to normal.
[19:24] <Swept_Wing> "Grah!"
[19:24] * Spades_Slick blinks. that was new.
[19:24] * Swept_Wing sits up.
[19:24] * Swoop sighs goggily. "Ugh... that was weird... never had that feeling from rum... what was in that stuff?"
[19:25] * Swept_Wing shrugs. "Dunno, but I think we dropped out of FTL a little early."
[19:25] <Spades_Slick> "I don't think that was the Rum."
[19:26] <Swoop> "Like you know what the schedule is."
[19:26] * Astera groans and rolls out of her bed.
[19:26] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The calm female voice from the communications channel comes over the ship's speakers, "There is no cause for alarm, everypony please remain calm. Command crew, please report to the bridge."
[19:26] <Swoop> "We're not command crew are we?"
[19:26] <Swept_Wing> "Okayyyy, yeah, something's up."
[19:27] <Swept_Wing> "Like I give a fuck."
[19:27] * Clara is a little disoriented from just waking up, but she looks around in confusion.
[19:27] <Spades_Slick> Somewhere, Cammy is clutching her head and whining, nursing a huge hangover.
[19:27] * Astera nods slowly. "Something is definitely amiss..."
[19:30] * Swoop sighs and gets out of bed. "Damnit... now what."
[19:31] * Astera rolls her head and sighs. "But as we are still stuck here I guess we won't find out what is going on."
[19:31] * Spades_Slick stands up and checks on Snow
[19:32] * Swept_Wing goes over to the door to see if it's openable.
[19:32] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The speakers ping and the same voice comes over them again, "General announcement from Captain Ticonderoga." The voice changes to that of the Captain, "Since approximately four hours ago, the CIR has been tracking a large scale gravity well, and requested we stop to investigate. The well caused a slight disturbance in the FTL drive, but I assure you there is no cause for alarm. Please carry out your duties as normal unless specifically requested. Thank you."
[19:33] <Swoop> "No cause for alarm, right..."
[19:34] <Swept_Wing> "What kind of gravity well?"
[19:34] <Swoop> "Gravity well normally equals Black Hole, right?"
[19:35] <Swept_Wing> "That's what I'm afraid of."
[19:35] * Astera shrugs. "I supose it would.."
[19:35] <Swoop> "This is so gonna suck..."
[19:35] <Swept_Wing> "Yep."
[19:35] * Clara is currently in changeling form, since she just woke up from sleeping. After a few moments of recovering from being sleepy, she shifts to her pegasus form.
[19:36] <GM||WavemasterRyx> A groggy looking Dr. Vial trots slowly up to the door of the Quaranteen area, floating a coffee cup along next to him, "Oh... you're all still here... I thought I smelled something..."
[19:37] <Swoop> "Nice to see you too, doctor ass."
[19:37] * Swoop ([email protected]) Quit ( Quit: REALITY.SYS Corrupted: Re-boot universe? (Y/N/Q) )
[19:37] * Swept_Wing chuckles.
[19:38] * Astera gives Dr.Vial a leveled look. "Are we free to leave?"
[19:41] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Dr. Vial takes a long drink of his coffee and nods, ignoring Swoop, "Yep, I'm kicking you all out. Congratulations."
[19:41] * Clara just ignores the doctor. She checks on the larva, to make sure it's okay after sleeping.
[19:41] <Swept_Wing> "Thanks."
[19:41] * Spades_Slick slides Snow onto his back and heads out to take her to her room.
[19:41] <Swept_Wing> "Now move before I cough on you and give you my diseases."
[19:42] * Swept_Wing grins.
[19:42] <GM||WavemasterRyx> He steps out of the doorway after lowering the quaranteen field and just takes another gulp of coffee.
[19:43] * Swept_Wing trots out.
[19:43] * Spades_Slick may or may not cut Dr. Vial with his switchblade on the way out. Quantum cutting.
[19:43] * Astera takes a final look at the room before leaving for her own quarters.
[19:44] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Dr. Vial looks down at the playing card before sniffing derisively and heading to his office
[19:45] * Clara only notices everyone else leaving after a few moments. She hurriedly gets up and carries the larva out with her.
[19:45] * Spades_Slick takes Snow to her room and tucks her in bed before leaving to his own quarters
[19:46] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The larva isn't moving very much right now, it's probably asleep.
[19:48] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Anypony looking out a window facing starboard on the ship can see a slowly swirling spiral of white-ish blue out in space.
[19:53] * Clara isn't sure where the lab is onboard the ship, so she checks her PipBuck Lite's map.
[19:58] * Swoop ([email protected]) has joined #FruityRumpusAssholeFactory
[20:02] * Swoop looks out the window. "Yep. Black hole. So long, reality."
[20:03] * Astera does not look out the window, she is busy, napping.
[20:03] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The map shows several labs scattered about the ship, but the main one is located on Level III. The locator tag for it works fine.
[20:03] <Swept_Wing> ""Think we should head up to the bridge regardless?"
[20:03] * Spades_Slick is back in his room, sharpening his various bladed instruments of slicing and dicing
[20:05] <Swoop> "Why not. I slept enough already."
[20:05] * Swept_Wing nods, adjusting his revolver. "Let's go then."
[20:06] * Swept_Wing trots off towards the bridge.
[20:06] * Swoop nods and follows.
[20:06] * Clara uses the map to head toward the main lab, still carrying the larva.
[20:06] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Astera is napping peacefully for a short time before something wakes her. When her eyes open, she's back in the dull-red version of Destiny, there is once again no sound, and the air is still.
[20:08] * Astera blinks, looking around curiously she rolls out of bed. "Wierd.."
[20:09] * Spades_Slick sighs and flops on his back. There never was anything to do in between missions.
[20:09] <GM||WavemasterRyx> For Astera, everything looks just as you'd left it, the only difference being there's no sounds of the ship, and the lighting and even the metal seems to be dyed the deep red color.
[20:10] <GM||WavemasterRyx> On their way to the bridge, Swept and Swoop cross by a few ponies looking concenred, and one helping another along that is limping, the front of her sweater damp with blood.
[20:11] * Astera makes her way out of the room and starts trotting down the corridor. "Uhm.. Hello?" She calls out softly as if afraid to disturb the silence.
[20:11] * Swoop looks at the limping pony as she passes. "Yeah. No need for concern at all... "
[20:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Clara finds the lab easy enough, the door is clearly marked.
[20:11] * Swept_Wing nods.
[20:11] * Spades_Slick takes a nap to pass the time. the speakers will inform him of any emergencies
[20:14] * Clara steps into the lab a little warily. "Hello...? Is there anyone in here?"
[20:15] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Spades easily falls asleep, but his dreams are full of odd shadowy figures dancing about.
[20:16] * Swept_Wing reaches the bridge with Swoop in tow.
[20:16] * Swoop is in tow... where'd this leash come from???
[20:18] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Astera looks around she can't find a single pony anywhere. The red light seems to be flooding in from the starboard side of the ship. Down in the lab, a green earth pony mare whose coat is covered in yellow swirled designs looks up, "Yes, can I help you?"
[20:20] * Swept_Wing doesn't know where it came from either, but does think it's kinky. Regardless, he steps onto the bridge.
[20:20] * Swoop smirks and follows, leashless.
[20:20] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Swept and Swoop enter the bridge, Commander Daylight was just on her way out, nearly running into you both. She looks at the leash oddly then shakes her head, "Do you have business on the bridge, Cadets?"
[20:21] <Swoop> "Just curious. What's going on?"
[20:22] * Clara steps up to the pony. "I have a, um..." She pauses for a moment. "A... specimen, from my latest mission... I wanted to make sure it was well taken care of..."
[20:23] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Spades tosses in his sleep, the shadows seem to come closer, drawing him in. One reaches out and presses something that looks like a hoof against his chest, there's a moment of pain, but then Spades' eyes spring open, revealing the same destiny bathed in red light.
[20:24] * Astera keeps trotting through the ship, making sure that she has her Magical Pistol with her as she cautiously makes her way to the starboard side. "Okay Aster, don't panic.. You are just dreaming.. " She mumbles to herself.
[20:25] * Spades_Slick bolts up into a sitting position, looking around "Definitely not the rum."
[20:25] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Daylight shrugs a little, "Well, like the captain said... we came across this black hole, and the science department wanted to study it, since it seemed to be throwing off an unusually strong gravitational effect."
[20:26] * Swoop smirks. "Study. Translate to Get Us All Flattened."
[20:28] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The pony in the lab turns more to look at Clara and smiles, "Oh, yes, the insect. We weren't sure when it would be ready, please come in."
[20:30] <Swept_Wing> "Yeah, I migh not be a science pony, but black holes aren't something you want to be hanging out by."
[20:30] <Swept_Wing> might*]
[20:30] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Daylight laughs nervously, "Don't be silly... our shields are more than capable of negating the gravitational currents at this range, but it was affecting the FTL drive slightly... and Medical has sent up a report of some ponies experiencing strange pains."
[20:30] * Clara looks around a little, somewhat nervous as she brings the larva to wherever the pony is going to lead her.
[20:31] <Swoop> "We spotted one on the way here. Bloody chested. She was being helped though."
[20:31] * Spades_Slick stands up and pulls his trenchcoat off it's hook, slipping it on and grabbing the 7 of spades out of his deck since it was better for indoor fighting. He opens his door and trots out, looking up and down the hallway
[20:32] <GM||WavemasterRyx> From the windows facing starboard, Astera can see the red light is coming from a giant pillar of light blazing at the center of the black hole. All of space is dyed the same dull red color, only punctuated by the stars in the distance, and the still white accretion disk.
[20:34] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The scientist leads Clara back to a small scanning station, "If you please, set it down in there, and we can take a look together. What do you say?"
[20:34] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Looking around the halls of Destiny, Spades finds it all errily quiet, no ponies, no machines. His own hoof-falls sound alien in the stilll air.
[20:35] * Clara nods slightly, and carefully, very carefully, places the larva pod inside.
[20:35] * Astera blinks. "Woah.." Taking in the scene for while before turning and starting to make her way to the bridge.. If somepony was around, they should be there, right?
[20:36] <Swept_Wing> "What would cause that bloody chest though, that's what I'm wondering."
[20:37] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Daylight shakes her head, "I don't know. The ponies in Medical haven't found any cause... just sudden lacerations to the chest in some cases, and in others, ponies that are falling unconcious and unresponsive. Sometimes both..."
[20:38] * Spades_Slick frowns and starts looking around for any signs of life.
[20:38] <Swoop> "And you still think it's a good idea to dance in a Black Hole?"
[20:38] * Spades_Slick or anything at all, really.
[20:38] * Swept_Wing nods "Yeah, doesn't sound too smart to me."
[20:38] * Spades_Slick heads towards Snow's room to check on her.
[20:40] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Daylight looks at the two of you flatly, "Blackholes are just gravity... not magic..."
[20:41] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As they proceed through the ship both Astera and Spades happen to catch a reflection of something in a window as they pass by.
[20:41] * Swoop gets a tiny mimicy voice. "'Black holes are just gravity.' That's what you sound like. You have no idea at all."
[20:41] * Swept_Wing cocks an eyebrow. "Then what the hell is going on with all the randomly injured ponies?"
[20:42] * Spades_Slick stops mid-stride as he passes a window and backtracks to look out it
[20:42] * Clara looks to the science pony questioningly. "What now...?"
[20:43] * Astera turns carefully, moving back to see if she can spot the reflection again.
[20:43] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The scientist pony smiles at Clara and nods, checking the consol on the scanner and activating it, as she says her name, a hint of Fancee accent creeps into her voice, "I'm Dr. Reparer, by the way."
[20:46] <GM||WavemasterRyx> By the time both ponies look back, there's nothing reflected in the window any more, except their own faces and the wall as it should be.
[20:47] * Spades_Slick shrugs. trick of the light. He continues on towards Snow Cone's room
[20:47] * Clara smiles slightly. "I'm Clara... nice to meet you."
[20:47] * Astera "Oookay then.." She looks around more nervously now and starts sneaking off towards the bridge.
[20:49] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Daylight sighs, "Blackholes don't cause holes to start carving into a pony's chest... We're trying to figure this out without alarming anypony unnecessarily..."
[20:50] * Swoop scoffs. "The most anomalys and unknown entity in space, and you're telling me what it can't do. Yeah, right."
[20:50] <Swept_Wing> "I'll believe that when you prove it. Black holes are mysterious, and no pony understands them."
[20:51] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Reparer hits some buttons on the machine and the casing around where you placed the larva lights up with a soft blue. A picture of it starts to take focus on a screen in front of both of you, "There's your darling little bug, Miss Clara."
[20:52] * Clara looks at the picture on the screen, smiling slightly. "So... what are we going to do with it...?"
[20:52] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Reaching Snow Cone's room, Spades finds that the mare is nowhere to be seen, though the room is otherwise just as she'd left it when she was there earlier.
[20:54] * Spades_Slick frowns and sighs "As annoying as you are sometimes, Snow, you'd be a welcome sight in...whatever this is." He backs out and heads towards the elevator to make his way to the bridge. Even if no one is around there'd likely be a terminal with recent information on it.
[20:55] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Astera doesn't see anything the rest of her trip to the bridge. Opening the door, she finds it too to be void of pony life. When she looks in the monitors overhead though, she sees something in the reflection again, something black. Behind her.
[20:56] * Spades_Slick can't be the only pony seeing this...dream? Nightmare? Hallucination? whatever it is, he plans on finding out something.
[20:56] * Astera gasps and twirls around to face that something.
[20:57] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The Commander turns around, "Believe what you want. We're trying to actually figure this out. If you want to do yout duty and help, good. If not, then stay out of the way."

[20:58] * Swoop turns to leave. "Sorry, I'm no science pony."

[20:59] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Reparer smiles as she spins the image a little, "Well, we have the other specimen your team brought back, so I don't think we'll need to disect it... I suppose it's all up to the Captain... It seems very healthy at least."
[21:01] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Astera turns, she comes face to face with a mass of blackness. It looks vaguely like a pony, but with no discernable facial features, and a third small pair of hooves jutting out of its neck.

[21:02] * Clara gives a relieved sigh, "Well, that's good... It's only a baby afterall..." She doesn't mention that deep in her heart she feels responsible for keeping it safe.
[21:04] * Swept_Wing nods, following after Swoop. "Neither am I, just a pilot."
[21:04] * Astera jerks back and quickly backpeddles away, heart pounding and in a state of panic from the starteling experiance she raises her magical shield around her.
[21:07] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The entity tips its head slightly, its extra pair of legs pawing at the air as it watches you. It jerks its head around quickly and fades into nothingness as you hear hoofbeats echoing down the cooridor. Spades' hoofbeats.
[21:08] * Spades_Slick is off in his own little world, trying to piece things together.
[21:10] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Reparer looks closer at the display, "Mmm... if you look closely enough, this larva bears a striking resemblance to changeling larva. Very fascinating, wouldn't you say?"
[21:11] * Astera takes a few deep breaths, looking around herself, confused. "What in the world was that..." Her ears perking up as she hears the hoofbeats of Spades. She calls out. "Uh, hello?"
[21:12] * Spades_Slick trots into the bridge, looking at his hooves in thought and nearly running into Astera as she speaks, causing him to jerk to a stop and look up "Now are you just part of this, or are you real..."
[21:13] * Astera blinks and takes as step back, not lowering her shield. "... I could ask you the same."
[21:14] * Astera looks over her shoulder, looking for that shadowy creature. "I took a nap in my quarters, and when I woke up, everypony was gone."
[21:15] * Spades_Slick scratches his chin and pokes the shield, nodding as it stops his hoof then trots around, studying terminals "I too woke up into this."
[21:16] * Clara looks a bit closer, and smiles. "It does... doesn't it?" She feels a little giddy at the revelation.
[21:16] * Swoop leaves the bridge. "Well, Swept, end of the world's comin. How we gonna spend it?"
[21:17] * Astera sighs and lowers the shield. "There is something else here with us.." She follows Spade's around, not sure what she is looking after on the terminals. "A.. shadowy pony creature.."
[21:17] * Spades_Slick is suddenly a mare and feels weird about that fact
[21:18] <Swept_Wing> "Heh, well, I'd love to spend it either flying, drunk, or both."
[21:18] * Swoop grins. "Get drunk and steal a shuttle it is."
[21:19] * Spades_Slick stops being a mare because that's stupid "Are you sure you didn't just see your own shadow? Or hallucinate?"
[21:20] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Reparer smiles wider at seeing Clara so happy, "Well, you seem to be taking good care of it so far. I think the Captain will be fine with letting you keep it, unless something drastic happens."
[21:20] * Swoop heads off to the mess.
[21:21] * Swept_Wing grins, and trots off after her.
[21:21] * Astera looks up at Spades f rom one of the terminals, slight smirk on her face. "For all I know this is all going on in my head. But no, I am fairly certain that this creature is real.. And perhaps the being causing this entire thing to happen. It, vanished though."
[21:21] * Clara turns to Reparer. "You think so...? I'm not sure if I know how to take care of it properly..."
[21:22] <Swoop> "Need a sammich first. Can't die on an empty stomach."
[21:22] <Swept_Wing> "Hell no."
[21:22] * Spades_Slick specifically looks for entries on the terminal that could relate to recent cases of unexplained hallucinations, and upon remembering how he woke up intense pain in a ponies chest
[21:23] <Spades_Slick> Terminals*
[21:23] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The science pony nods gently, "Well, I think it's getting most of its nutrients from the cocoon it's in right now. After that, I'm sure you could find some reference material on infant changeling care in the database. That should be a good starting point, until it actually hatches."
[21:24] * Clara nods slightly. "Okay... I will! Thank you!"
[21:26] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The terminals on the bridge, like the ones scattered through the halls of the ship, all seem to be dead. Try as you might, you can't get them to function. As Astera looks one over, she sees the dark shape once more in the reflection.
[21:27] * Spades_Slick grumbles and punches the screen of one of the terminals
[21:28] * Astera glances at Spades. "It is still here.. Something in the reflection.." her voice a whisper.
[21:30] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Spades' hoof satisfactorily shatters the terminal screen. In the reflection, Astera can see the creature jump a little from the sound.
[21:31] * Spades_Slick pops his neck "Ah, I feel much better." He adjusts his hat and straightens his coat.
[21:32] * Astera jumps from that aswell. "Could you please make more noice!" She says with a frown. Looking around again to see if she can spot the creature
[21:32] * Swept_Wing arrives with Swoop in the mess hall.
[21:32] * Swoop buys two sammiches. "OKAY! Bar!"
[21:33] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Reparer turns off the scanner and steps back, "Well, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to take it back to your room. And I'm sure the ponies in the Manufactorum can help if you need to make it some kind of nest. Bring it buy occassionally and we'll check up on the littler feller and see how he's doing, okay?"
[21:34] * Spades_Slick looks at Astera "You were saying?"
[21:34] * Swept_Wing nods. "Wooo!" He heads for the bar.
[21:35] * Swoop trots after, tail held high in happiness.
[21:35] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Astera can spot the creature back down the hallway leading to the main elevator, peering cautiously from around a corner.
[21:36] * Astera looks between the creature and Spades. Cocking her head towards it. "Over there.. Lets go." She starts to make her way towards the creature
[21:37] * Spades_Slick rolls his shoulders and follows Astera. Any other time he'd probably enjoy the alicorn plot in front of him, but he's too focused on all this damned puzzle shit
[21:37] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The bar is empty except for a large, neon green earth pony standing behind it, wiping out a glass stein. She waves at the two of you as you enter, "Welcome, what can I do ya for, gents?"
[21:38] <Swoop> "Rum, my fine fellow!"
[21:38] <Swept_Wing> "And I'll take a Wild P."
[21:39] * Swoop hoofs a sammich to Swept.
[21:39] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The creature paws at the wall it's hiding behind with its small forelegs. Spades can clearly see it now, its black coat shining from the red light pouring into the bridge.
[21:39] * Clara smiles and takes the larva from the machine. "Thank you again... I'll make sure it's nice and comfortable!" She heads toward her room with a big smile.
[21:40] * Swept_Wing munches on the sammich.
[21:40] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The barpony nods and throws open a cabinet and rifles through it, "Let's see... rum... rum... oh I'll save that one for later... Ah here we go!" She slings one bottle of each requested alcohol up onto the counter and grins wide, "Enjoy!"
[21:41] * Swoop pops open the bottle. "Here's sun in yer eye!" Takes a swig.
[21:42] * Spades_Slick is more curious than anything
[21:42] * Swept_Wing takes a swig of his whiskey.
[21:42] * Astera moves up closer. Carefully aproaching the creature.
[21:44] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Looking at the creature, Spades is drawn back to his memory of the strange dream with the dancing shadows. The hoof that had touched his chest and made it flare with pain, was one of this creature's smaller forehooves.
[21:45] * Spades_Slick grabs Astera's tail and tug softly, motioning her to stop
[21:46] * Astera stops and looks back towards Spades_Slick. Mouthing a 'What'
[21:48] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The barpony returns to wiping down the bar and organizing the stock as the two pilots drink.
[21:48] * Spades_Slick motion at the shadow and mouths 'I think it attacked me before I woke up.
[21:48] * Swoop sets the bottle down and starts in on her sammich. "Never thought this would happen, eh?"
[21:49] * Astera steps back untill she is aligned with Spades. Glancing over at teh creature she whispers. "It dosnt seem agressive.. Just, curious.."
[21:49] * Clara makes sure the larva is nice and safe in her room before she heads to the counseling office, to look up information for her new ward!
[21:50] * Spades_Slick nods at the smaller pair of forehooves, whispering back "Regardless, what woke me up from my dream was a shadow reaching towards my chest, and intense pain when it touched."
[21:50] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The alien pulls itself a little more from behind cover as Astera retreats, swiveling its head slowly between the two of you.
[21:53] * Astera nods slowly. "Alright.. So we stay away from those forehooves." Taking a smal step forward she calls out to the creature. "Ah, hello?"
[21:54] * Swept_Wing shakes his head. "No, can't say I did."
[21:54] <Swoop> "I mean, I figured we'd run into one eventually, but we'd steer well away from it."
[21:55] * Swept_Wing nods, taking another drink. "True, true."
[21:56] * Spades_Slick approaches with Astera, more cautiously
[21:56] * Swoop takes another bite of sammich and chews. "But no... We find one and the scientists park us right on it's doorstep..."
[21:56] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The creature tips its head again, taking a very small step forward. It doesn't actually have a mouth, so it's no surprise it doesn't respond vocally.
[21:57] <Swept_Wing> "And then funky shit starts happening."
[21:57] <Swoop> "Yeah, that too... Wonder if anypony we know got affected."
[21:58] <GM||WavemasterRyx> From behind them, Swept and Swoop can both hear a soft dripping sound.
[21:58] * Swoop ignores it. Sammich and booze are more interesting.
[22:00] * Swept_Wing glances over at it.
[22:00] * Astera nods back at the creature. "There we go... Nice and friendly, we mean you no harm."
[22:01] * Swoop takes another drink. "It would suck so much if it was Clara or Cammy. I like those two..."
[22:01] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Clara is typing at the terminal, she notices that the keys are being pressed down before she actually touches her hooves to them, a very slight green glow around them.
[22:02] * Swept_Wing looks for the source of the sound. "Yeah." He replies.
[22:02] <GM||WavemasterRyx> When Swept glances back, he sees the barpony slumped over the bar. The dripping sound is her blood trickling from her chest onto the floor.
[22:03] * Clara blinks and hesitates. She calls out, "Who is that?"
[22:03] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The creature takes another tentative step forward, dipping its head slightly. There is no answer to Clara's call.
[22:05] <Swept_Wing> "Oh shit. Swoop!" He sets his drink down, vaulting over the counter.
[22:05] * Spades_Slick is ready to move between Astera and the pony should it try anything.
[22:05] * Astera slowly raises a hoof towards the creature. Giving a nervous smile.
[22:05] * Clara is a little worried. She looks around before she continues typing into the terminal. She has a larva to learn about...
[22:06] * Swoop looks up. "Oh fuck!" Activates her Pipbuck and calls the med center for help
[22:08] * Swept_Wing nudges the bartender. "Hey! Buddy! Talk to me!"
[22:09] <GM||WavemasterRyx> There's a hasty response from Medical, lost in the sound of a pony gathering supplies. The barpony doesn't respond, she's out cold.
[22:11] * Spades_Slick carefully and slowly reaches inside his coat to grab onto the 7 of Spades from the pocket inside of his coat. he doesn't move though, just stays there, ready to pull out his machete
[22:13] <Swept_Wing> "Come on, come on!"
[22:13] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The creature reaches out with one of its smaller forehooves as it steps closer again. When Clara starts typing again, she notices the glow again, but this time she can feel it. Magic flowing from her into the keyboard.
[22:13] * Swoop stands back and lets the medics do their job, a look of apprehension on her face.
[22:14] * Spades_Slick tenses slightly
[22:14] * Astera raises her hoof to meet with the creature's.
[22:15] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The light brown medic pony Hopes would know as Tiramisu finally gallops into the bar. She spots the barkeep and doesn't hesitate at all, tossing her supply pack onto the ground so it springs up into a medical station, from which she grabs potion soaked bandages, "How long ago did this happen?"
[22:16] <Swoop> "I don't know... like a minute or so..."
[22:16] * Clara hesitates again. Is that... me doing that? She tries to imagine herself pressing the keys, but doesn't actually press them, as a test.
[22:17] * Swept_Wing nods. "Yeah, like one or two minutes ago."
[22:18] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Tiramisu nods, applying the bandages quickly but carefully and then wrapping them on tight, "This has been happening to ponies all over the ship. She's the seventh so far." It takes a minute of concentration, but the keys respond to Clara, pressing down gently as she would have typed them outl.
[22:20] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Astera touches hooves, she's hit by a wave of nausea, almost like her body was trying to flow away into the creature's hoof. But as quickly as it comes, the sensation leaves.
[22:20] * Clara is pretty excited about that. She's never done anything like that before! She uses her newfound magical power to finish looking up all the information the science pony had told her she should, so she can take care of the larva.
[22:22] * Astera closes her eyes and shudders, swaying softly and her wings flaps once. Opening her eyes slowly again she smiles. "What are you...?"
[22:23] * Spades_Slick relaxes, releasing the card. It didn't seem hostile. Good.
[22:24] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The creature draws back, taking a few steps and then... begins slowly lifting its hooves one at a time, swaying gently. Almost like it was dancing.
[22:25] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Tiramisu lets out a sigh as she finishes dressing the wound and checks the barpony's vitals, "Well... she's stable... I'll need to get her back to Medical for proper obsrvation... Could you two help get her onto my back?"
[22:26] * Spades_Slick watches with a wry smirk. If one of these things hadn't tried ripping his chest open, he'd almost find it amusingly cute.
[22:26] * Swoop trots over to help
[22:26] * Astera gives both teh creature and Spades_Slick a curious look.
[22:27] * Swept_Wing nods, trotting over to give assistance too.
[22:27] * Astera smirks and starts to mimic the creature's movements.
[22:28] * Spades_Slick backs up a few paces to watch them both. It's cute now because Astera /hasn't/ tried killing him. Yet.
[22:29] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The creature starts to let its movements become more fluid, though it doesn't have any features, it definitely seems to be enjoying itself, its head nodding to Astera .
[22:30] * Astera laughs gently and smiles at the creature. Following the dance the best she can.. "Well, it seem friendly enough.."
[22:31] * Spades_Slick smiles despite himself "Moreso than the ones earlier."
[22:32] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Tiramisu nods gently as you help the barpony onto her back, "Thank you... If this doesn't stop soon we're going to need a lot more help... please keep your eyes open." She grabs up her medical kit in her mouth and shuffles a little.
[22:32] * Swoop steps back, clearly worried. "This is because of that black hole, isn't it?"
[22:34] * Clara returns to her room once she looks up the information. She's determined to be the best caretaker ever!
[22:37] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Once she'd gotten to really looking, there was indeed a wealth of information for Clara, easy enough to download to her pipbuck too, to keep handy.
[22:37] * Clara definitely downloaded it!
[22:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The creature lifts it head up, stretching its little forehooves into the air and slowly fades away. Tiramisu shakes her head at the question, "I don't know... I just hope it stops..."
[22:40] <Swept_Wing> "Well, is there anyway to find out if it is?"
[22:40] * Astera is now dancing all alone, so sad. She stops, blinks. "Oh.." Looking around herself.. "It left.."
[22:41] * Spades_Slick sighs "Well it was fun watching you two." He looks around "What do you think we should do? There has to be a way out of this."
[22:41] <GM||WavemasterRyx> When Astera blinks, upon opening her eyes, she finds herself lying back in her bed, back on the real Destiny. To Spades, she faded out too.
[22:43] * Spades_Slick stops mid-sentence and swears
[22:43] * Spades_Slick sighs and trots back into the bridge
[22:45] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Trotting back to the bridge, the next time Spades closes his eyes, he finds himself back where he'd lied down as well. The ship back to normal.
[22:45] * Spades_Slick blinks. then blinks again. Was that actually a dream?
[22:47] * Swoop looks at her hooves.
[22:51] <Swoop> "Space is really starting to suck..."
[22:51] * Clara is still blissfully unaware of what was happening to the others while she was making sure she can take good care of the baby bug.
