  2. Stats: Every individual in the world can have their physical capabilities measured with seven stats. They are as follows.

  4. STRENGTH (STR): Raw physical power.
  5. PERCEPTION (PER): Ability to notice and aim, general sensory alertness.
  6. DEXTERITY (DEX): Skill in performing tasks with the hands.
  7. CONSTITUTION (CON): Physical stamina, vitality, endurance and recovery speed.
  8. MAGIC POTENTIAL (MAG): Ability to perform the miracle of magic.
  9. WILLPOWER (WLP): Fortitude of the mind, defence against mental assault
  10. AGILITY (AGL): Coordination of one’s body, ability to move quickly and well.

  12. Stats have a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 25. 8-10 is the average for normal (adolescent) humans, 10-12 is the average for (adolescent) magi, 13-14 is considered to be good, 15-17 is great, 18-20 is incredible and any more than that is considered to be among the best. The cost for increasing a stat increases linearly—meaning that it costs more to raise to 15 than it does to raise to 14.

  16. Talents: The proficiencies and abilities a character has. They help define the character and generally require little to zero conscious thought.

Indeed he is, being capable with handguns, revolvers, submachine guns, shotguns, bolt-action rifles, semi-automatic rifles, assault rifles and grenade launchers. While very skilled for his age, the standards of children are smaller than those of adulthood.

  48. Singing (E+): The art of producing music with the voice, to the extent where it becomes notable. According to Michiko, Keiichi is a natural at singing. His newfound talent is very unpolished, but she believes he has potential to become a truly great singer. But is it worth putting effort in?

  51. Hyperspace Armory (B): Akasha-Alea blessed Keiichi with an invisible space that allows him to (only) store three different firearms and their (and only their) ammunition. The armory is invisible, protected against magical detection and cannot be accessed by outsiders. However, the combined weight of the armory presses onto his back much like a real army backpack.

  53. Anti-Mana Bullets (C+): A technique that makes firearms ammunition resistant to the effects of magic, by way of the 'void' element. This resistance extends to the protection of defensive structures, such as magical barriers.

  55. Bullet Time (C+): Perception is sharpened to an intense degree, allowing Keiichi to perceive the world at half its speed. The mana cost for this talent is calculated with each second and increases linearly (e.g. the 2nd second of Bullet Time costs more mana than the 1st). The technique is commonly used to accurately aim shots.

  58. Akasha-Alea's Infinity (C): Fires the current weapon infinitely for eight whole seconds, without regard for ammunition cost, reloading or recoil. Can be combined with other talents. Mana for this technique is consumed at the beginning.

Most of his ammunition is of the plastic variant, save for the FN 303's, which are tear gas grenades. He does keep a small supply of metal ammunition for emergency purposes. Out of all his ammunition, the metal rounds and the tear gas grenades cost the most.

Combined with her recent injury, it prevents this talent from rising to the B rank.

  77. Spirit Language (B-): Airi is able fluently speak, read and write the Common spirit tongue. However, she is not at the level of an expert.

  79. Engorged Veins (A): Airi possesses five time as much blood as a regular human. Her blood also replenishes and clots thrice as fast. This talent is unlike to change, save for external modification.

  81. Bloodthirst (B+): 40% of the blood Airi spills will be absorbed by her, restoring her own blood supply and vitality. Blood type does not matter.

  84. Blood Weaponry (B-): The ability to create weapons from one's own mana and blood. Blood weapons share the following properties:
  85. -The act of creating or holding consumes blood; the former removes a set amount while the latter has a gradual drain.
  86. -If blood weapons are damaged, they can be repaired by sacrificing more blood.
  87. -Blood weapons scale with DEX and MAG.

  89. Airi can create the following: Chains, shuriken, throwing knives, exploding tags and a katana. She can create multiples of all weapons except the last. This talent is performed with Shesmur's help. Proficiency with all weapons except the katana is ranked D+.

  91. Meltdown (C+): Airi's main combat technique; it uses her blood and moisture as catalysts to create a magical, crimson explosion. The fresher the blood, the bigger and more powerful the explosion. The technique does not require an incantation, but it helps Airi control her magic.

Originally learned as a self-defence technique involving shouting, Michiko now uses it to fight her opponents in the arena. The style and type of attack is dependent on how Michiko sings. Loud notes will explode outwards and elegant notes will cut and slice. She can also sing special songs that perform different effects. If her singing is halted in any way, her techniques will cease to work.
  115. -Song of Aggression: Michiko sings a loud, energetic song to uplift the fighting spirit of herself and any allies. Increases STR and MAG by 1 for the duration.

  117. -Song of Restoration: Michiko sings a gentle, calming song that refreshes the body and mind of herself and any allies. Gradually heals physical wounds over time.

While seemingly ordinary in appearance, it is connected to her mind and can play any song Michiko has committed to memory (similar to a music player). It is also long and sturdy enough to serve as a combat staff. Lastly, Michiko can use it to extend her voice, much like a regular microphone.

They are crafted from sketching meaningful patterns with mana-infused ink on special paper. Because of this, they radiate with a faint magical signature. The paper seals were not initially designed for combat use, yet it didn't stop humans (including Hideki) from finding creative uses for them. Due to having studied seals for a number of years, Hideki is rather knowledgeable about them.

  145. Paper Manipulation (C): With seals comes the ability to manipulate paper. Hideki can control the movement of paper to a certain extent. This usually means guiding paper through the air to its target or hiding it among the surroundings as a makeshift mine. His control is not the best due to spending more time on seals. Hideki can also manipulate paper physically; he is an avid fan of origami.

  147. Skill Obfuscation (D+): The act of hiding one's true potential. Hideki puts on a casual facade to deceiving others into providing information. However, the sharp-minded will see through it. Ranks will seem lesser than what they initially are.

  150. Reduction Seals (B-): The first application of Hideki's seals. Anyone struck by the seal will suffer curse magic and have all their stats gradually lowered, capping at a reduction of -2. Hideki uses superglue in his seals, making them difficult to remove by normal means.

  152. Storage Seals (C+): The second application of Hideki's seals. They allow Hideki to store objects within paper. Once stored, the state of the object within will not change. In order to unseal it, Hideki must apply mana to the seals and wait for several seconds. Unsealed objects appear in a small puff of white smoke. While convenient for transporting goods, Hideki's seals come with several downsides. Firstly, he cannot store anything larger than the paper he scribes his seals on. Secondly, damage to the seals will result in damage towards the sealed object. This includes the decay all paper seals inevitably suffer from over time.
