  1. He was born in a rural town in the middle of nowhere. His mother passed away when he was young, he was raised in a foster home together with seven other kids that were in similar conditions. Despite being a house full of people of his age, he never fit in. He didnt have any friends at first. When he was ten years old, a new girl came to the foster home. She was beautiful, he thought to himself as he saw her, with dazzling blue eyes and the same broken smile he had. He built up the courage to talk to her and before long they became friends. The young girl, Kyra, and him had a lot in common. They grew closer as the years went by. They weren't alone anymore. They were planning on moving out to a big city and finding a job and living together for the rest of their lives. They'd spend hour speculating about the future and making the greatest stories and tales together, spending hours in the library reading one fantasy book after the other. However, this didn't last too long.
  2. By the time they were both fourteen, a young couple adopted Kyra and took her away to a fancy city. She promised to one day find him, to be together with him again.
  3. He was left in a sour lonelyness, regretting knowing how it felt to feel warm and accompained by someone he truly cared about. The cold indiference of everyone around him stung like it didn't before.
  4. Without any news on Kyra years passed, and he turned 18. Due to his efforts he got a schollarship in an university where Kyra had moved to, and he decided to live in a dorm there and hope that someday she'll come knocking to his door.
  5. As he arrived he started to research on his own, trying to find where Kyra and her family lived, even if by doing so he felt like he was breaking her promise with her and feeling like a stalker, He just wanted to know she was okay.
  6. As he looked online he came across an old newspaper that talked about the disappearance of a small family, which could be related to terrorism. The father was the leader of an investigation and intelligence party working for the goverment. The mother of 38, the father of 40 and the young daughter of 16 had disappeared out of thin air. There were no more papers or records of these, no one seemed to care about this young family or their whereabouts.
  7. From there on out, he went to several police stations and consulates asking for any information he could find on them, however they failed to provide anything. He had no money to hire a detective or to do any throughout research on why they could've been abducted or not.
  8. An intense feeling of dread invaded him and drove him to desperation. He felt guilty for feeling abandoned all these years and he couldn't help to think the worst happened. He faced one nightmare after the next everyday.
  9. One day he recieved a letter mailed to his room in the dormitory which had a silver chained necklace inside of it, without any notes or anything written on it saying who it was from or where it was mailed from.
  10. When she touched the dazzling silver necklace a cold feeling emanated from it, As he stared at it a black flame sprouted from each of its chains. To keep himself from being burned he dropped it to the floor. The floor rapidly caught on black fire, crawling with ease on every wall and on the ceiling, surrounding every piece of furniture. He felt as if everything was going dark. The fire was making everything cold, still and lifeless. He couldn't feel any warmth and he couldn't breathe properly. Slowly everything in his field of vision turned black, every single ray of light was devoured by darkness.
  11. For a moment he could see a face in the distance, it was covered in blood and panting slowly. The rest of this girls body was hanging from its wrists with its clothes torned and her body had cuts everywhere, the girl was.. oddly familiar but he couldnt remember who it was.
  12. A few minutes later, which to him lasted an eternity, light began to shine on his eyes. Things around him were still dark and cold. But he felt a strange peaceful wind blowing his face. He wasn't lying on the tiles of his room's floor, he could feel earth running on his fingers. He was sitting in the rubble of a devastated building. Around him was a maze of houses and streets in a similar apocalyptic state.
  13. He could hear an acute ring in his head. The ringing slowly turned into the shackling of chains, and heavy footsteps. Turning around the corner was a shadow, a black silhouette came from it, he couldn't tell who or what it was, but he could discern a head arms and legs from it. A thick and large amount of black smoke emanated from the shadow's figure, devouring light in its way, blurring everything it covered. He couldnt tell anything about it even as it came close and closer, he couldn't discern anything but one thing. Red, blood-shot eyes filled with rage and despair.
  14. He was so scared that he couldn't move even until the shadow was infront of him. It roared with rageful and sad tone that shook his body entirely giving him goosebumps. It rose its right arm and smashed it against his chest, piercing its very center.
  15. He felt an indescribeable pain, but it didnt come from the wound, he was overwhelmed by it but it wasn't a physical injury. He felt year after year of a deep sorrow he could not understand, a sorrow that made him scream, before he passed out, he saw black flames surrounding him once more, but this time only his body, passing out before his vision was covered in darkness, looking at the rageful red eyes one more time.
  16. He woke up and once again he was not in his bedroom. He was alone in a tiny white room with barely enough space for him. Behind him was a door with a small window which shone light on the room. He didnt have the energy to lift his body back up, so he laid down, feeling helpless, passing out one more time.
