CHARGE BLADE

 

ALL CHARGE BLADE STYLES

- Shield Charge (X-A after a Shield Thrust) behaves differently

        ○ Does not go into Super/Ultra

        ○ Charges your shield using loaded phials

                ■ Colorless/Yellow cannot be charged past Yellow

                ■ Red gets replenished

- Guard Points behave differently

        ○ Cannot go into Super/Ultra

        ○ Automatically puts you in Axe mode

        ○ Easier to see

- Ultra loses the shockwave

 

GUILD CHARGE BLADE

- No other changes.

 

STRIKER CHARGE BLADE

- Loses Shield Thrust (thus no follow-up Shield Charge + Roundhouse Slash)

- Sword X-A now has a Guard Point

 

AERIAL CHARGE BLADE

- Sword Charge Attack is different

        ○ Cannot be charged

        ○ Cannot combo into it from any move

        ○ Still combos into Shield Thrust (X-A) and Roundhouse Slash (third X)

- When jumping off of a monster/teammate you can:

        ○ From sheathed:

                ■ Press X for a down Sword swing which charges your phials

                ■ Press R-X-A for a down Axe swing

        ○ From Sword:

                ■ Press X for a Sword down swing which charges your phials

                ■ Press R for an Axe down swing

        ○ From Axe:

                ■ Press R for a Sword down swing which charges your phials

                ■ Press X for an Axe down swing

                ■ Press X-A for a Burst which automatically transforms to Sword

                        ・ If no phials, just does the normal swing

                        ・ If you have phials

                                × Uncharged Shield - Super Burst (uses one phial)

                                × Yellow/Red Shield - Ultra Burst (uses all phials)

 

BUSHIDO CHARGE BLADE

- Shield Thrust cannot be followed up with a Shield Charge + Roundhouse Slash

- Sword Charge (neutral A) now has a Guard Point for as long as you charge it

- Bushido

        ○ In Sword, after a Bushido Guard:

                ■ Press A for an instant Sword Charge Attack

                ■ Press X for a Shield Charge + Roundhouse Slash

                        ・ This Shield Charge CAN charge your shield to Red

                        ・ The Bushido Guard and Roundhouse Slash (if it hits) charge your phials

        ○ Sheathed or in Axe, after a Bushido Evade:

                ■ Press X for a normal down Axe swing (same as forward X)

                ■ Press A for the double horizontal Axe swing (same as second A)

                        ・ Can follow up with the Burst, a Sword transformation, etc.
