Session 2 Tactical Magical Girl Action RPG IC logs

FissionGM	The sea roars and the thunder rolls as the cold rain pounds water, flesh, polymer, and steel. The container ship, Grand, tilts and creaks on the sea, her antenna mast and part of her bridge torn away, the remains of the latter burning with black smoke rising from the various holes in it.
	FissionGM	Il-Ved hovers at the missing wall to port, Bisque on his back. Both are cast in the undulant orange glow of fire.
	FissionGM	Just below and astern of the bridge Lilly “The Edge” Smiles faces off with hostiles ahead and behind her. The former are fresh, the latter battered but still capable.
	FissionGM	Larisa Koroleva has made it down stack to the main deck, with the inexperienced but potent “Sparky” Merisuo climbing down behind her.
	FissionGM	This was supposed to be a rescue mission. It may still be. But you haven’t seen hide nor hair of the ship’s crew of twenty-two.
	Victoria	The man who shot Lilly gets only a moment of triumph before a sinking feeling seeps into him. As he turns around to see where it's coming from, he finds himself face to face with a large face like a mockery of a chinese dragon, crazy ringed eyes looking him down mercilessly with only a moment to react before the beak closes down around his upper body, seperating it from
	Victoria	his stomach up, and leaving the remainder behind.
	Victoria	The small girl riding it, Bisque, leans out from behind the bloodsoaked beak and reaches out with one of her hands, fastening it around yet another man, who could not even see the invisible force pressing down on him from all sides.
	FissionGM	The still living man screams and wriggles in place, clutched in a hand only the two magical girls and dragon can see.
	Larisa_Koroleva	breaks into a sprint and runs for the stairs to the superstructure. It's not easy given the current conditions but she makes it.
	Lilly	Lilly slashes against the man's neck and leans in to receive the burst of life-saving nectar as the soldier chokes on his own blood. She then dashes towards the south to engage his partner, but the defensive response forces Lilly to keep on running. She vaults over some railings and finds herself two decks below.
	FissionGM	shots streak past Lilly from behind as she crosses the 5th deck, harmlessly. then she's over the rail and down to the 4th.

	FissionGM	The man who fired the first shot of this fight gives a hand signal to the two beside him then moves forward and takes cover at the stairs and funnel. Staring down the blood soaked face of the monster that nearly tore him in half earlier he launches a grenade. The shot is good and explodes on the great beast.
	Bisque	Il-Ved is, needless to say, *not happy*, and roars back at him. Though no words come forth from the dragon's maw, anyone who hears it can understand the simple message; "I am going to KILL YOU."
	FissionGM	As the man occupies the Dragon's attention the man with the shotgun leads the more heavily battered man next to him down stairs and out of sight
	Tuuli_Merisuo	Drops down , and tries to run as fast as she can, but slips, due to the extremely slippery deck, she lands on her stomach, but she's slipped before, nothing new to her, hope that others didn't see that, though.
	Bisque	Outraged at the man who's standing in his way of his target - and had the *audacity* to attack him, Il-Ved coats him with a breath of flame that warps the surrounding area itself, along with burning the man caught inside it. Bisque, on top of the dragon, weaves a spell to reduce the man's accuracy against them by making him clumsier.
	FissionGM	Lilly picks up on the sound of the man who tried to ambush her, turning and going back inside the superstructure's internal stairwell, heading down. though he does not come out on her floor to shoot at her.
	FissionGM	The man who stood before the dragon groans in pain as the flames begin to melt the outer layers of his armor and gear away. He pulls the infrared goggles off to dangle around his neck, the lack of light shining up on his chin shows they've not survived their second bush with hellfire.
	Larisa_Koroleva	keeps going up the stairs as fast as she can manage, given the current weather conditions and the swaying deck.
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Hey, I kinda cant see anything up there, is everything ok?"
	Larisa_Koroleva	"I'm coming up on the... fourth? Yes, fourth deck right now. I'm going as fast as I can."
	Larisa_Koroleva	"We should try to contain the fire and then look for the crew."
	Bisque	sighs into her radio. "I don't think containing the fire is on Il-Ved's list of priorities."
	Larisa_Koroleva	"That's why I'm coming up."
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Lets hope the crew is still alive..."
	Lilly	Aware of her attacker's attempt to ambush her, Lilly takes the stairs up to flank the soldier and deliver a good stab to his back
	FissionGM	Lilly, as the blood comes free of the man and he staggers against the wall you notice his machete has congealing blood on it, not his, and obviously not yours. In the dark upper stairwell it wasn't obvious but down here where the lights are still working it's clear to see.
	FissionGM	The man in the partially melted gear stumbles forward and into the stairwell, he manages to get to about half a flight above Lilly, she can hear his boots on the metal and his heavy breathing, the smell the burned cloth and plastic precedes him as well. If he's noticed you, he doesn't seem to have done anything about it yet.
	FissionGM	Below three more men are continuing to descend.
	Tuuli_Merisuo	Checks her surroundings, to see if no one saw that slip, and she gets up, and tries to run, but the deck is just too damn slippery, so she decides to play it safe.
	FissionGM	Larissa hears the three men descending the stairs of the third deck
	FissionGM	*Larisa
	FissionGM	The man Lilly just stabbed pushes off from the corner of the stairwell and bellows a war cry as he pulls his machete and swings it in one smooth motion, though he misjudges the distance and cleaves nothing but the air, momentum carrying until it clangs off the wall beside Lilly. The loud sound echoing repeatedly in the tall confined space.
	Bisque	Hunting for one who hurt him, Il-Ved comes across Lilly and two men again; and does exactly what he did the time before that, filling the area around them with searing flame.
	Lilly	Lilly barely has time to hit the deck as the flames envelop the room, the radio silence is broken with a "Are you retarded or something?"
	Bisque	"Do I look like the one who breathes fire, dipshit?"
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"So how many times is this gonna happen before you two are gonna kill eachother?"
	Bisque	"At least she can heal, or I wouldn't have to kill her, it'd just have already happened."
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"More worried about your wellbeing once the mission is done, if I'm honest with you."
	Bisque	Bisque lifts a hand, using a large shadowy one to lift one of the bloody corpses and rub it against Lilly. "Here, heal yourself or some shit."
	Larisa_Koroleva	hears the man in the doorway and strafes him across the torso with a barrage of ice spikes as she comes around the corner. He would almost be fortunate as most of the immaculately formed shards of ice don't penetrate anything vital. Unfortunately for him, one of them hits high enough and hard enough to go into his throat, penetrate his trachea, and clip his spine.
	Larisa_Koroleva	They say that death feels cold, but for this one it's even colder than usual.
	Lilly	Lilly gets off the ground and with a very audible sigh heads towards the top superstructure deck.
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Oh cmon, ice puns?"
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Should we regroup?"
	Larisa_Koroleva	"I'm the only one who can really do anything about that fire. Look for survivors from the crew. Be wary of more potential hostiles."
	Bisque	"I'll keep a look out from above."
	Larisa_Koroleva	keeps hurrying up the stairs until she reaches the seventh deck.
	FissionGM	The bridge is an ashen mess by the time you get the fire out. sections of the floor are hatches that can be pulled to do maintenance on the computers below. unfortunately the consoles that they connect to on the bridge have all been destroyed. making accessing them problematic.
	FissionGM	the east wall of the stairwell on the 6th floor has a power relay box to safe the circuits when doing repairs or replacements so as to prevent shocks
	Larisa_Koroleva	"Figures." she sighs.
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Looks the computers shouldnt be damaged, if anyone wants to take a look."
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"So, now that the hostiles are taken care of, should we try to look for civvies?"
	Larisa_Koroleva	"Yes. I'll try to do something with the computers so we can hopefully change the ship's course or stop it. All of you should look for the crew in the meantime."
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Right."
	Bisque	"...Yeah, okay. Anywhere you want me to search, or should I try and cover the deck, since I can fly?"
	FissionGM	examining the power box reveals that someone seems to have torn out the most of the wires. the terminals are still their and intact, but their is no connection to bridge the gap. you would need to complete the circuit to restore power.
	Larisa_Koroleva	"Yes, please check the deck."
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"I think I can try to fix this power-box thingy..."
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Well, not fix... but give it some juice to come back online, at least."
	Larisa_Koroleva	"Please do that. I'll see if I can give us any measure of control over the ship."
	Larisa_Koroleva	She goes back up, assuming that going through the maintenance hatch is the most sensible idea, and tries to fix things from there.
	Tuuli_Merisuo	Tuuli takes a good, hard look at the power box, and decides that the best course of action is to just try to connect the ripped apart, bare metal wires back, and restore electricity to them by a simple touch.
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Well, that should do it, although no one else can touch this thing if they dont want to get fried."
	FissionGM	Tuuli's hair stands on end, but she is unharmed. she can see the ships brain-stem returning to its full flowing glory though the walls. and Larisa is treated to he sound of the sounds of cooling fans, disk drives and other equipment coming to life as well as blinking diagnostic lights.
	FissionGM	In the belly of the ship Tuuli can see a pair of heavy duty electric motors spin to life, and fuzzy shapes that may be two more of them down toward the front of the ship.
	FissionGM	*through the
	Tuuli_Merisuo	"Did that do it?"
	Larisa_Koroleva	"That did it, thank you."
	FissionGM	She did indeed do it. the heavy duty motors seem to be for running pumps that help stabilize the ship. your pretty sure that means she ship's computers are intact enough that they are trying to get her more stable in the water and less likely to capsize. It occurs to you that such an easy to stop way of sabotaging a ship and leaving it to sink may mean that the crew are either dead, or...
	FissionGM	...locked in something they can't escape from.
	FissionGM	To Be Continued
