  1. History: The New World is a large portion of land separated from the lower half of the United States due to large radioactive fissures, hordes of radioactive mutants and creatures and a radioactive chasm surrounding the entirety of the border known as the Trinite Divide. No contact has been made with any lands past the Trinite Divide (AKA the Southern US States). The Trinite Divide is said to have separated a large portion of northern US states (Oregon to Ohio and Kentucky). The group is on the fringe of the Trinite Divide, in post-war Missouri. Missouri borders the Trinite Divide in the South, nowhere else. The Missouri and Mississippi rivers run through Missouri and are referred to as the Twin Tritiates (A form of radioactive water). Current year is 2325.

  4. Local Geography (Missouri): After the Great War came to a close and bathed the world in atomic fire, a torrential radioactive rainstorm ploughed through most continents. Missouri’s rivers were heavily irradiated as a result, and the Mississippi and Missouri rivers have swelled, causing the major cities of Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, St. Charles, Hannibal (All along Mississippi) to have been lethally exposed to radiation causing the cities to be abandoned largely. The cities of Washington, Jefferson City, Osage Beach, Kansas City and Independence have also become heavily irradiated and flooded by the swelling Missouri river. Remnants of the cities still stand, though large portions are flooded with radioactive water and contain a plethora of mutants, ghouls and other creatures. These cities are hotspots, though caravans sometimes make journeys to the outer rims of the cities to bring back loot. In addition, the Trinite Divide covers a massive slice of the southern Missouri, completely destroying the cities of Kennett, Malden, Doniphan, Poplar Bluff, West Plains, Gainesville and Branson.

  7. Major Factions: Excluding security forces of cities, there are a few well established factions spread throughout Missouri. The surrounding areas are comprised of raider gangs and tribes.

  9. Raiders
  10. Neo Reavers - A group of raiders branched off from the Reaver Movement. Equipped with semi-sophisticated weapons and technology, they scour the wasteland for more technology.
  11. Warriors of Slag - A group of tribal raiders who have grown in power and strength from absorbing or destroying other tribes. They use clubs, spears, bows and stolen small arms.
  12. Followers of Fire - A group of crazed drug addicts that have formed their own religious cult. They use flamethrowers, flaming swords and a series of unidentified fire-launching weapons.
  13. Vultures - A mysterious group of raiders that are seen in the backwoods of rural Missouri. They travel in packs and prey on small caravans, groups and especially individuals. Their choice of weaponry is varied and unknown.
  14.
  15. Smooth Skin Society - A group of masked individuals carrying assortments of weapons. They tend to roam along the outer streets of Springfield looking for ghouls of any sort. They are known to have an extreme hatred of ghouls and will kill any they find.

  17. Beginning Info: The group starts in a small town at the very edge of non-irradiated deserts bordering the Trinite Divide. The town known as Little Liberty, is just under a major pre-war city known as Van Buren. The city’s outer sections have been reduced to rubble due to war and decay. The inner section of the city, referred to as New Buren, acts as a small trade hub bordering Springfield to the west and the river border cities to the north/northeast. The city is operated under a mayor (Mayor Payne) who makes decisions along with a small city council. The city has a small security force that maintains order in the trade hubs and residential areas of the city. The outer areas that have fallen into disrepair are controlled in sections by Raiders (We'll talk about that later) and has occasional groups of feral ghouls and creatures from the deserts. Caravans from neighboring towns come in every few weeks or so. The group will be part of a general store caravan headed to New Buren to sell animal hides, fat, meat, etc.
