<Chor> Last time we left our heroes with a rather hot predicament: while ROse_Bud is off discovering the purpose of her life, the others (save for Cat and Jackie) are passing through an impetous wave of desire and most can barely restrain themselves as things develop quickly into ponypiles of... well, let's leave that to the reader's imagination.

* Cataclysm groans at Cali's words, "For once in your life control your flanks. Ugh. I swear, you're the most impulsive, short-sighted, egotistical, selfish prat I have ever met!" She growled a little and ground her teeth, shaking her head to Light, "No. I'm not going to do that."

* Calibrete struggles to reach for Desert_Lightning, but she's just too far away! Calibrete puts on her best pouty face. "Oh Desert! Be a dear and come over here, please!"


* Rose_Bud runs to the next tree, perfoming a completely unnecessary forward roll on the way (of course)


* GM_Chor looks around, it's easy to find the source since it never shuts up for long. It is a small bird, perched on a branch, apparently possessing quite the loud voice for its size, which is assuming a bullying pose with its wings, somehow "Aha, so you've found me! You've got the be the latest one I've ever seen, what are you ponies, deaf? Or perhaps just dumb?"


<Light_Seeker> "Cat can you help me out of this stupid suit it's all wet and stuff."


* Jackhammer has no idea what the voice is talking about, so she ignores it. Really Cali is taking nearly all of her concentration right now. "Honestly, Cali, I thought you had more willpower than this!"


* Desert_Lightning tries to reach for the bird.


* Cataclysm had already been helping LIght get out of the suit before. Which was proving a little difficult, but she wasn't giving up either.


<GM_Chor> Desert_Lightning, with an almost impossibly fast leap and wing flare, catches the bird as it tries to react, opening its wings a moment too late. It is now fully closed in Desert_Lightning's grasp, "Hey, what's the big idea? Did you get offended, are you such a crypony? I should have known that you were stupidier than the average,and that's saying something!"


* Desert_Lightning flaps back to others, on the way looking at the bird clossly to see what it may be.

* Rose_Bud appears beside Jackhammer and the struggling form of Calibrete. "I think we're on the secret island of Dr Hoofenheimer! Be on the lookout, his henchponies could be anywhere..."

<GM_Chor> The bird wears plain colors of brown and white on teh underbelly, but its head and eyes sure flare with a fire in them. "And what is that writing? Does it read you some foals' stories before going to bed? Because you are still one!"


* Calibrete cranes his neck around to the bird. Some instincts were just hard to break. "Hey! I thought that we were messing with a baddie, not some buffet appetizer!"


* Desert_Lightning resists the urge to stomp on the bird.


* Jackhammer would facehoof if she could spare the hoof, but Cali sure is a wiggly one!


* Cataclysm groans and just heaves a sigh, shaking her head, "There's got to be some rope or vines or something we can use to tie Cali up with if she can't control herself." glancing around for any sign of something suitable.


<GM_Chor> The bird just keeps talking, it doesn't seem willing to stop any time soon. "And who's talking, the furious mare in heat? You'd eat the other ponies' rump if it gave you pleasure!"


* Calibrete laughs. "Damn straight I would! But just look at you! You're going to be a bump on a log for the rest of your life! Maybe you should just give up now."


<GM_Chor> "Hah, and who's talking, the local mare in heat? I bet every pony's happy to have you around, at least until you've got the strength to push yourself up and down their members!"


* Calibrete chuckles. "Little do you know, none of us *have* members! And also, I'm sorry for taking out your girlfriend back there. But boy was she /ugly/! And she couldn't even run away before I took her out!"

* Rose_Bud sneaks back to Cataclysm and Light_Seeker, drawing far more attention than she would by just walking. "Okay, I did the sneaking bit, next the filly has to be saved..."

* Rose_Bud "Light can be the filly, and she's already saved!" Rose sits down to have a Good Think. " Hmm... after that is the bit where Mom covers my eyes."

* Calibrete growls. "Why don't you say that to my face? Then the flower wont be the only thing in my stomach tonight!"


* Rose_Bud looks at her flank in horror. No TV and lots of broccoli make Buddy something something!

* Calibrete struggles to get up. "If only she would! I could use some good old Kitchen Fresh Chicken!"

When you're older." reaching a hoof up to rub her face again, "Right now, we need to find a way to cure the lot of you." she stands and trots over to Cali, "And that means -you- have to behave. Or else you get left like this. Forever."


* Calibrete twists her head over to Cataclysm. "Just let me rip that bird apart!"


* GM_Chor bird is trying to escape harder, "Now somepony stop this crazy sack of sex drive! I'll just offend mildly the one who does!"


* Jackhammer shakes her head. "No. Bad Cali. No eating anything without cooking it first. Also, I'm pretty sure that little bird wouldn't sit well on your stomach. Everything I've ever heard suggests that birds don't digest well - through your stomach, through your intestines, through everything it's turn, turn, turn...or maybe it's something to do with the seasoning?"


* Calibrete looks at Desert_Lightning. "Hey. Bring that thing here. I've got some herbs and spices in my bag that would go great with some spit-roasted chicken."


* Desert_Lightning lets go of the bird, sick of the endless comments. "Both of you shut up before I shoot you!"


* Rose_Bud closes her eyes and recites the times tables. "2 times 1 is 2, 2 times 2 is 4, 2 times 3 is 6, 2 times 4 is err 8, 2 times 3 is 6 again..."


* Cataclysm groans and sighs, "Just... Just try to control you rself. Please? For a little while? I know you're capable of it..." Looking to Jackie, "Think you can get to work on whatever cure you might have? I'll try to keep Cali under control for now. But we really, really need something to fix this before things get even worse."


<GM_Chor> The bird flies off upwards in a buzz of wings! "Thank you, stupidheads!" is its last salute as it quickly departs out of sight.


* Calibrete growls. "Now back to... wait? What am I doing down here?"


* Desert_Lightning goes to help Jackhammer in keeping Calibrete pinned. "Got any ideas about what to do this this stupid pony?"

* Calibrete attempts to push Jackie off of her. "I'll remember that. Next time some robots, birds, or whatever the /fuck/ we run into next, I'll let you handle it on your own."


* Cataclysm prods Cali a little with one hoof, "Is everypony feeling a little better now? No more random urges to fornicate with everything in sight?"


* Rose_Bud "How did I do Light_Seeker? Do I get an 'A'? Can you mark my work? Oh! Would you like an apple? I should give you an apple."

* Calibrete looks at Jackhammer. "He hit me! When I'm down! That's just low." Calibrete puts on another pouty face.


* Rose_Bud hugs Light_Seeker back. "Thanks Light."


* Jackhammer is confused. "Who hit you?"


* Desert_Lightning looks at Calibrete sternly. "You tried. to. RAPE! ME!" He/she shouts in Calibrete's face.


* Light_Seeker keeps Rose_Bud close to her to keep her from running off "we need to be on the lookout for enemies."


* Cataclysm groans and shakes her head, "You really, really did. And basically tried to mate with -everything- around. Even the Celestia-cursed trees!"


* Calibrete growls, "What are you TALKING about?!"


* Desert_Lightning points out the flowers. "Those, they caused you to go crazy and have sexual intercourse with anything in sight!"


* Calibrete looks in his saddle bags at the flowers she'd taken. "You don't say... These might just come in handy."


* Jackhammer flicks her glance from Cali to DL and back. "I'm siding with her on this one," she says pointing at DL. "Anyway, time to get to work brewing!" And so she does, setting out their cooking gear and some bottles.


* Cataclysm peers at Cali, "No. Absolutely not. If you try to take those flowers with you I will personally see to it that your saddlebags explode the next time you open them." she was growling again, lowering her head enough to press nose-to-nose with Cali, "Understand?"


* Desert_Lightning reachs over and grabs all the flowers. "Nope, only for ponies trained in doing stuff like this. Not for you."


* Calibrete stands stands up. "I've got business to handle. Nature calls!" And with that, she runs out of sight. Funny, nopony heard that river before...


* Cataclysm groans, rolling her eyes a little and shaking her head as Cali runs off.


* Rose_Bud "Ok Light, I'll be a good little pony and keep lookout... then maybe I'll get the Gold Stars!"


* Desert_Lightning joins Jackhammer in her brewing, digging out his own herbs and things.


* Cataclysm mostly just tries to stay out of the way, she was definitely not skilled in cooking, brewing or other tasks of chemical utilization not related to the destruction of large amounts of properties and/or objects.


* Jackhammer ponders a bit as she turns to DL. "I think we'll only need a dose for Cali and Seeker. Rose_Bud is a little weird, but she's still helpful." She raises her voice a bit calling out, "You're doing good, Rose_Bud! You're sure to earn a gold star!"


* Desert_Lightning nods. "I think the effects have worn off but there may be side effects." He ponders for a moment. "What do you make of these?" he asks as he pulls out the dozen or so rotten fruit he collected earlier.


<GM_Chor> After a while more of restrainings, complaints, avanches and struggles, Jackhammer and Desert_Lightning managed with what little they had to brew two doses of the desired potion. Now for the application!


* Light_Seeker runs towards Cataclysm and hugs her "Cat help me i'm going insane."


* Rose_Bud puffs herself up a bit, she was a good pony! She look-outs even harder.


* Desert_Lightning looks at the two potions. "You want to deal with Calibrete?"


* Calibrete is still not back at camp yet. She *REALLY* had to go.


* Cataclysm wraps a foreleg around Light, "Going insane? What do you mean?"


* Light_Seeker looks at Cataclysm with pleading eyes to put her down "Plots Flanks Voice in my head trying to tell me to do evil things."

* Jackhammer shares a look with DL and Cat. "Let's help Seeker first and then we can all coordinate our efforts with Cali.."


* Calibrete screams in pain. "Dumb rock!"


<Light_Seeker> "I think Cali is hurt."


* Cataclysm shakes her head, gently hugging Light, "Shhh. It'll be okay. Jackie's got some medicine which should help you relax until you're able to recover. Just don't worry too much, alright?"


* Rose_Bud runs over to Calibrete, worried by her scream. "What's wrong Cali? Are you hurt?"


* Calibrete yells back, "I'm good! No! Come back here, you!"


<Mimezinga> a tremendous roar echoes in the whole forest; it seems distant and the sound is so strong that you can't say from where it is coming


* Calibrete stomps a hoof. "Darn it! I was /so/ close! It was right there!"


<Light_Seeker> "Cat i think we should leave this island of doom and death and never come back."


* Cataclysm wobbles a little as the ground rocks under hoof, "We can't leave without supplies. The ship needs food and water, remember? that's why we're here to begin with."


* Rose_Bud flattens her eyes, that was loud!


* Calibrete perks her ears at the roar. Good. Something to take her mind off of this stupid island of sex and death.


* Jackhammer sighs as reality decides they haven't been screwed over hard enough yet. "Seriously? We're trying to calm these..." She makes an effort not to call her companions idiots. "...impulsive friends of ours, and now we have to deal with some giant creature who probably wants to eat us?"


* Calibrete yells back, "Giggidy!" from within the trees.


<Light_Seeker> "Cat hurry up i can't stall it much longer!"


* Rose_Bud sits up slowly. Ok, this must be like a field trip so... she would have to write a report about the big roaring creature. Now, which way to go?


* Jackhammer calls out to Rose_Bud, "Special lab assignment - investigate the best way to keep your friends safe from an unknown threat!"


* GM_Chor gives voice to Desert_Lightning


* Desert_Lightning face hoofs at the noise. "We're doomed aren't we?"


* Cataclysm shakes her head, "Shhh. It'll be okay. Just relax." she brushes Light's mane a little, looking to Jackie pleedingly. Hurry, hurry!


* Rose_Bud cheers. "New assignment!"


* Jackhammer finishes her brewing and brings the first dose straight to Cat and Seeker. "Careful, it's still a bit warm, but it should go down well. I added a little honey from our supplies so it should taste kind of like a nice cup of tea."


<GM_Chor> WIth the best of intentions, and maybe a little constraining and forcing, the potion is administered to the two... most active mares. It takes effect in nary a minute, and they can find their drive has greatly subsized, and they don't find it as imperative to act on it. ...


* Light_Seeker drinks it quickly


<GM_Chor> It also seems like the doses were handled perfectly - the drowsiness only stops at the level of a slight numbness, and little more.


* Rose_Bud looks at her friends and Light didn't seem so happy...


* Light_Seeker looks at Jackhammer "Jackie can you wash my suit?"


<GM_Chor> As things settle and the roaring creature is heard no more, the unexplored, wild forest is wide open to them, whether they choose to look for spotted places, go forth into uncharted territory, or even go back to the ship.


* Rose_Bud stands beside Light_Seeker, two pistols drawn, scanning the surrounding landscape. "Don't worry Light, I'll keep you safe from an unknown threat!"


* Calibrete has a dazed, half lidded look on her face. She slowly slumps to the ground, and half of her muzzle is numb. "Whu dud yao do ta muh?"

* Jackhammer shrugs. "Sure we can wash your suit. I found a small natural spring - that was where the water came from - so we should be able to clean the suit out. It's not enough for the whole ship though, so we'll need to search for more."

* Cataclysm sighs and shakes her head, "We've got to find food and water which we can bring back with us before we leave anyway. May as well head towards the larger lake, find out if thew ater there is drinkable."


* Light_Seeker goes with Jackhammer to clean her suit walking all over the place


* Calibrete is taking a small nap, contently creating a small lake of her own with the saliva pouring out of her mouth.


* GM_Chor gives voice to Desert_Lightning


* Desert_Lightning shows the others something he found. "Look out for anything like this, it's edible."


* Rose_Bud puts her pistols away, satisfied that she had scared off the Unknown Threat, and trots after Light and the Tiger.


* Jackhammer carefully washes out the suit in the tiny pool of clean water, the activity making her feel oddly maternal.


* Light_Seeker walks over and falls into the tiny poll of water


* Rose_Bud giggles and helps to pull Light out. "Who's a silly pony!"


* Jackhammer snickers and helps Rose_Bud pull Seeker out.


<Light_Seeker> "I'm a silly pony!"


<Calibrete> "Oh please, Applejack... It was... my... pleasure..."


<GM_Chor> As the party is recreationing themselves, some small bushes are seen and heard moving nearby - something small is moving about, although it's certainly bigger than any non-mutated insect.


* Desert_Lightning pulls out epic fail and slowly moves towards the sound.


* Light_Seeker hugs Jackhammer "Hey dad i thought you were dead."


* Cataclysm glances in the direction of the moving bush, carefully watching that direction. She wasn't going to go after those things just yet, but she wasn't going to run away either. Just keeping a cautious eye out.


* Calibrete mumbles and slowly opens her eyes. "Mmm? Whu?"


<GM_Chor> The creature hastedly retreats deep back into the unexplored forest as it notices being observed. It sounds quite fast on its track.


* Jackhammer leads the foals back with the now clean suit then looks down at Seeker. "Hmmm? Dad? Dead? What?" She's just all sorts of eloquent, folks!


* Light_Seeker gives a nudge towards Jackhammer "Yeah you remember my brother shot and killed you and i was there watching it all."


* Jackhammer walks up to Cat giving her a pleading look. She was used to Seeker being weird, but this...?


* Light_Seeker hugs Cataclysm "Mom i missed you!"


* Desert_Lightning backs away from the bushes.


* Rose_Bud looks between Jackhammer, Cataclysm, and then back to Light_Seeker. "I didn't know you had a brother, Light."


* Calibrete smacks her lips. "Oh, Miss Rarity! Yes... I'll be... right... there..."


* Cataclysm blinks a little bit in confusion, "Seeker, I'm not your mother. I'm Cataclysm. Remember?" Looking up to Jackie, "Are you -sure- you only gave her a sedative? You didn't secretly sneak some alcohol in there, did you?"


* Jackhammer eyes the bushes since they're less disturbing than the former colt. "Anypony get a look at what was shaking the shrubs?"


* Light_Seeker looks at Rose_Bud "Yes we used to do all sorts of stuff for fun and then one day he met these ponies and killed everyone but me."


* Jackhammer gives Cat a look of wide-eyed innocence. "No way! If I was going to do that, I'd give it to Cali unless the alcohol was a necesary part of the recipe!"


* Calibrete mumbles "Your... mother..."


* Light_Seeker looks puzzled and then grabs Rose_Bud "Rose i don't want you to panic but i think we are dead."


* Rose_Bud panics.


* Cataclysm sighs and shakes her head, "Wonderful. Then it's just the regular kind of hallucinogen." she raised a hoof to her face, "This trip is just going to be one long string of disasters. Maybe I should leave before lightning strikes and our ship suddenly becomes sentient and vengeful to its crew or something."


* Jackhammer sighs and sinks down on her haunches with her right hoof hooked over her muzzle. "Ugh, this shouldn't be happening!"


* Rose_Bud "No! I don't want to be dead!"

* Desert_Lightning sits down next to Jackhammer. "So, from us three here who are sane, what the bucking hell do we do?"

* Jackhammer hold the suit out to Seeker. "Just...put your suit on. You aren't dead. Luna and Celestia aren't around nor any of the Ministry mares nor a lot of other ponies that would also be here."

* Calibrete groans "Oh TWILIGHT!"

<GM_Chor> After putting Light_Seeker back in her suit and gathering what little water the assorted containers the group brought with them could hold, it looks like the party is all set up to continue their travels, if with the usual shinenanigans!

* Light_Seeker gets in the suit "Rose we must explore the afterlife and fight anything that doesn't belong."

* Cataclysm shakes her head, sighing quietly as she saddles up the last jug of water she'd be carrying, "Let's just keep looking. THere's got to be -something- on this island which is neither poisonous nor carnivorious, right?"

* Jackhammer turns to DL. "Okay, we need food and water for the crew. I say we head to the lake - a body of water that large will attract plenty of animal life if it's drinkable, and there's likely to be some sort of fruit growing between here and there."

* Calibrete mumbles as she yawns, stretches, and eventually stands up. That was a /great/ nap!

* Desert_Lightning nods and ponders some stuff. "Ok, I'll go take a look from the air, I'll come back down soon after I see what's what."

* Light_Seeker grabs Rose_Bud "Come on Rose a whole new world out there to explore and new ponies to meet."

* Jackhammer quickly addresses Rose_Bud. "Extra credit for keeping your friend Seeker out of trouble."

* Rose_Bud "I don't know, Light. Tail doesn't think we're dead. He said 'I should be so lucky', but I don't know what that means."

* Desert_Lightning heads skyward to see what's what

<GM_Chor> From the vantage point of the open air, Desert_Lightning manages to find back the reference points she first spotted - a large lake somewhat in the distance, the higher patch of trees, she's pretty sure she'd find back the clearings and that concrete building back if she were to fly over them again. ...

* Light_Seeker starts skipping ahead of the ponies as the walk "I dunno Rose i think we can be happy here."

<GM_Chor> It's also worth nothing that the forest seems to be color-coded, if only slightly other than varying greatly in plantlife. In fact, different areas are shaded with a slightly different hue, imperceptible in the small picture, but much more noticeable when looking at square kilometers of land.

* Rose_Bud hops after Light_Seeker, an extra spring in her step after Jackhammer's praise. "Ok, let's be happy! I like happy."

* Desert_Lightning heads over to concrete building, hoping the structure has something useful.

* Desert_Lightning has quit (Connection closed)

* Cataclysm sighs and shakes her head, plodding along with hte others. At least Jackie was still sane and stable, right?

* Calibrete cracks her back. "Well, I'm officially bored. Can we go do something? Preferably with guns and explosions!"

* Jackhammer would press reassuringly against Cat, but right now keeping the foals and Cali moving the right way was more important. "C'mon, this is the way DL said the lake was, so unless DL tells us it's a waste of time, this is the way we're going."

* Calibrete looks around. "Where is the featherbrain, anyways?"

* Jackhammer shrugs. "I think I saw her fly off that way." She points in roughly the direction DL went. "Probably checking out one of the other spots she found."

<GM_Chor> The group proceeds in the direction of the lake, sure it wouldn't be that hard to miss, given directions. The plants rarely keep the same for long, going from tropical assortments to decidous to very very thorny to just some... there's the shuffling again!

* Calibrete jumps towards the shuffling sounds. "You're not getting away this time!"

* Rose_Bud stops mid-bounce. "What was that?"

* Light_Seeker hops towards the sound "Come on!"

* Jackhammer glances at the underbrush. "Dunno, but everypony, be on guard."

<GM_Chor> Calibrete only manages to throw herself inside a bush while the thing must have moved- Ow! That stung! And right in the neck, at that! Was that... some radscorpion tail?It leaves a throbbing sensation, there must have been some venom to that sting. The shuffling sounds move away, fast as a scurrying animal can make.

* Jackhammer spots the distinctive tail and gasps, "No way! Then...I guess I wasn't hallucinating?"

<Light_Seeker> "Cali you okay?"

* Calibrete slaps a hoof to her neck. "I... I have no idea. Forget it, I'll tough it out."

* Jackhammer has quit (Connection closed)

* Light_Seeker jumps onto Cataclysm 's back and sleeps a warm smile of being with her family again on her face "Goodnight mom."

* GM_Chor gives voice to Doubleclick

* Calibrete ignores the tiny pinprick that had just happened to her neck, and soldiers forward. Steel Rangers don't whine about tiny wounds! ...Wait, where did /that/ come from?

* Rose_Bud isn't sure what was happening with Light_Seeker, but her friend looked happy sleeping on Kitty's back.

* Cataclysm just looks at Light in confusion, then up towards the sky, "... It's not light. And... I'm still not your mom..." Not that she minded taking care of Light and Buddy most of the time. But this was worrying.

<GM_Chor> Desert_Lightning is seen returning in flight to the party, coming apparently from the spott where they last separated.

* Doubleclick shakes her head. "Um...maybe I was seeing things and maybe not, but earlier I could've sworn I saw some kind of miniature manticore. Now that Cali's gotten stung by something, well...we should be careful. They don't seem to be very aggressive, so we're probably okay if we don't bother them. Still, be careful from now on."

* Desert_Lightning lands besides the group. "I found a building with a terminal and lock lockers. We should go there!"

* Doubleclick is now known as Jackhammer

* Rose_Bud "Let's go and find Excitement, Adventure, and Really Wild Things!"

* Calibrete tilts her head to the left, imagining what it would be like to have a manticore as a traveling companion.

* Calibrete wonders how easy it would be to fashion a net together...

* Light_Seeker is fast asleep

* Calibrete asks Jackhammer as nonchalantly as possible, "How would one fashion a net in order to capture a small manticore?"

* Jackhammer shakes her head. "The lockers will still be there later. We need to get the water back to the crew first - you know dehydration is a bigger risk than starvation, DL."

* Calibrete perks her ears. "Lockers? Terminals? Technology!?!? Count me in, DL!"

* Desert_Lightning stopped at the water part. "Right, got it, water first then that place. It looks like there is valuable stuff there, but yes, water first. This way." Desert_Lightning starts heading towards the lake after saying that.

* Jackhammer blinks at Cali. "Well, if you didn't have rope, you'd need to either make some from the right kinds of plant fibers or maybe some sturdy vines. Either way, once you have rope, you'd need to weave the strands to form a mesh, tying them together at each intersection and then tie all the edges to a length that forms the border."

* Calibrete mumbles "Dumb mare gets to act as leader. Phoo."

<GM_Chor> The party heads to the lake without further distraction, other than of course the variety of plants, and of insect life for the careful observer. Some bushes with berries are encountered along the way, but they're absolutely yucky to the taste! ...

* Rose_Bud sits down and taps her head with a hoof. "Think think, think... so we need to get water to the crew and let them know where the lake is so they can get more."

<GM_Chor> Finally they get to the lake, and it looks quite impressive indeed. It spans hundreds of meters from one side to the other, and it's quite drinkable. Surely the crew would find this discovery quite delightable! THe lake itself opens up to all sorts of plant life, even something that looks like a swamp in the distance.

* Jackhammer keeps hoping they'll find something edible that doesn't also want to eat them. At least they now have water though!

* Calibrete looks towards DL. "Why are we here, anyways? Can't you just /tell/ the crew that there's water here?"

* Jackhammer looks at Cali. "We had to make sure it was drinkable water first."

<GM_Chor> Some dozens of meters away, a small herd of... what look like very, very elongated rabbits, with long skinny legs and a similar long neck, drinking from the water.

* Desert_Lightning nids. "I'll do a single look around the lake, report anything good I see then go back to the ship and lead them here." Desert_Lightning takes off to do just that.

* Calibrete sights one of the rabbits in her scope. "Here, bunny bunny bunny..."

* Arcane_Scroll[A] is now known as Arcane_Scroll

<GM_Chor> the rabbits look quite peaceful and naive in their demeanor. Despite having more than the mass of an actual, pre-war bunny, they stand several pony-lengths tall when upright. It is quite the interesting sight.

<Mimezinga> "HAI!" a pony head emerges from the lake... it's sashimi! and there's sushi too!

* Calibrete is about to take the shot, but then is distracted by a duo of heads breaking the surface of the water. "What the!

<GM_Chor> just slightly more*

* Cataclysm waves a hoof to the two seaponies, "This place connects to the ocean? Are you two alright?"

* Calibrete taps a hoof to her chin. "Wait a minute... aren't Sea Ponies limited to salt water?"

* Light_Seeker rolls off of Cataclysm and lands on the group waking her up "Huh what?"

<Mimezinga> sashmii jumps out of the water falling in the lake again and launching water everywhere "sure! we're having a lot of fum! it's full of underground tunnels and bones of all sizes too! its spooooooky!"

* Rose_Bud scampers up to the lake side. "Hi Sushi! Hi Sashimi! We're in a super cool jungle!"

* Cataclysm blinks as she's suddenly doused with cold water, shaking it off a few moments, "Wow. Well don't get lost down there. It's probably dangerous if there's lots of bones."

* Jackhammer smiles at the sea foals. "Hey kids, where's your mom?"

* Calibrete looks around. "Shouldn't you two be with Cold Tide? Who knows what creepy things could live down there!"

<Mimezinga> both ponies become suddelny sad "cold tide says mom went away to tell celestia to be super kind with us but we thinke maybe she's dead..."

* Calibrete leans down to the water. "Hey, it's alright. I've gone through the same thing you did. Just remember that she's in a better place, and if you're a good pony, you'll get to see her again someday!"

* Light_Seeker gets up and hugs Cataclysm "Hey mom."

<Mimezinga> sashimi mutters "mom's hugs were so warm..."

* Jackhammer facehoofs at the slip of her tongue then quickly trots down chest deep into the water. "Oh...um, sorry. Ah...well, I'm not your mom, but if you want a hug..."

* Calibrete gives a soft smile. "You're tougher than you realize. It's not easy to not have someone you've loved."

<Mimezinga> sushi looks again at the groundponies "so, there's nothing really tasty to eat in this place, we're going back to the ship... want us to tell something to the other nice ponies?"

<Mimezinga> sashimi nods at jackie and extends her fins to get a hug

* Calibrete puts a hoof to her chin. "Well, I think Desert_Lightning has that under control, but maybe it'd be best if you show the sailor ponies where the lake is."

* Jackhammer smiles at the sea pony and hugs Sashimi gently then gives her a kiss on the top of her head. "Cali's right. The sailor ponies need this water to drink. Some of them might want a bath too."

* Calibrete shudders. "Hopefully they do one before the other."

* Rose_Bud waves her flank at the sea ponies. "Look look! I've got a cutie mark!"

* Jackhammer shrugs. "It's a big lake. As long as they get the drinking water well away from where they're bathing, it won't matter."

* Rose_Bud "It's homework... but it's still a cutie mark!"

* Desert_Lightning lands by the group

* Calibrete puts a hoof to her chin. "Now that I think about it, I should stay behind. Help those nice mares with the bathing duties and whatnot..."

* Light_Seeker runs over and jumps onto Desert_Lightning and hugs him "Hey man what did you find today?"

* Desert_Lightning motions for the others to join him close. "Ok, I want you to look at this." Desert_Lightning proceeds to draw a simple map of the lake with everything he/she spotted

* Rose_Bud takes notes, in case of a sudden test.

<GM_Chor> From the map the group can recognize a few good spot for possible food gathering, the marshland on the other side, and the confines of the actual forest, that look very neat and circular, at least the way she drew them.

<Mimezinga> both seaponies go "ooooooh!" and look at buddy's cutiemark "it's awesome! ah... and what is it?"

<GM_Chor> spots*

* Cataclysm looks over the map with the others, tapping her chin, then looking up at the seaponies, "Let the others know we're doing okay. We found some fresh water other than this lake, but it's not nearly as much. We're gonna keep searching for food."

* Calibrete nods her head in the direction of the building. "There may be some long-term provisions stored in there. You know, rations and stuff like that."

* Jackhammer lightly smacks the back of Cali's head with her hoof. "No, you need to come with us to the building in case there's something dangerous there." She pauses to look over DL's map. "Though I suppose we could hold off on that till we find something to fill our bellies."

* Calibrete remembers his first 'Freeze-Dried Apple Cake.' Definitely lacking in the flavor department, but those things could survive a war and still be edible! ...Wait.

* Desert_Lightning looks at the group. "I'm going to go lead the crew of the ship here to pick up some water. see you in a bit."

* Light_Seeker goes with Desert_Lightning

* Desert_Lightning doges Light_Seeker's attempt to climb on. "Sorry, gotta be real quick this time so see you in a bit." With that Desert_Lightning is off and away.

* Jackhammer calls out to the departing DL, "Remember to tell them about the tiny manticores and other weirdness!"

* Desert_Lightning makes a note of that

<GM_Chor> The group, minus Desert, depart towards the old building Desert had visited before. It is, as always, a journey rather rich in sights, but no squirreling is heard this time.

<GM_Chor> The concrete building they reach looks quite old, and mostly overrun by vines and smaller vegetations... They can still notice various signs of civilization, some tables, old broken machinery, the big antenna outside, a split statue of some weird monster, and impossibly enough... a working terminal.

<GM_Chor> Or rather, not that impossible. Those in the know recognize StableTec when they look at it.

<Light_Seeker> "Stabletec out here?"

* Calibrete salivates about what glorious old-world tech may live inside.

* Rose_Bud "Ooo, it's all mysterious like... like... a mystery!"

<GM_Chor> The terminal screen has several lines of code on it:

* Jackhammer blinks. "Oh yeah, I guess that is a Stable-Tec facility." She might not have guessed it on her own, but now that it's been mentioned, she can see how this place has subtle similarities to the old stories she heard about Stable 3.

* Light_Seeker laughs and nudges Calibrete a bit "Hey Cali maybe if there is anything left you can make me into a soldier"

* Calibrete chuckles. "If I find anything left, I'm going to make *myself* a soldier.

* Calibrete looks at the terminal. That featherbrain tried to use his own name to log in!

<GM_Chor> The machinery embedded into the walls looks very unlike standard StableTec machinery, and probably little is salvageable out of it but the very metal they're made of. There's a room next to that with what looks like an old kitchen, and another hosts some beds with footlockers, some of them opened and empty.

* Rose_Bud "Oh oh! Are you trying to guess the password? Try my name!"

* Desert_Lightning has quit (Connection closed)

* Light_Seeker starts laughing really loud "Oh DL is funny you going to be a robot cali?"

* GM_Chor gives voice to Desert_Lightning

* Calibrete trots over to the terminal. She is given a coat my Jackhammer, which somehow makes her more qualified for the job. She attempts to crack open the terminal to see its wonderful and glorious techy goodness.

<GM_Chor> Calibrete struggles with the terminal, and hard as she tries, she doesn't manage to get the correct set of username and pass. Trying Chalk Board she thought she was so close... but the terminal has now locked out all the provate functions, leaving now only the possibility of checking/modifying date and time (or conacting an administrator, of course).

* Rose_Bud ingores the sound of swearing and investigates the building, paying attention to any old machines that she could "fix".

* Calibrete , discontented with the terminal, goes to search any unlocked lockers around. Maybe there's something hiding that she could use!

* Light_Seeker searches for any locked items to pick

<GM_Chor> The hooflockers at the end of each bed are either empty, or locked. The locks seem pretty standard though.

* Calibrete finds nothing, but turns her attention back to the terminal.

* Light_Seeker gets to work on the locks

<GM_Chor> Light_Seeker opens one of the footlockers after breaking one of her bobby pins. Fortunately, there's more inside, as well as some stained photos of an unicorn family dressed in pre-war casual attire, a keyring, and some snacks of the era.

* Light_Seeker gets all the stuff

* Rose_Bud "Great job Light!"

* Light_Seeker moves to the next locker and starts working on it "Thanks Rose."

<GM_Chor> The second contains a few dozen pre-war bits and  some old documents, not all ravaged by the un-care of time.

* Calibrete looks closely at the terminal, eyes squinting and calculating his plan of attack. With a methodical approach, she removes the rear panel of the terminal and slowly disconnects and reconnects wires in an attempt to remove the security lockdown.

* Light_Seeker grabs the bits and hands Rose_Bud the docs "Take these to cali"

* Rose_Bud nods and trots over to Calibrete, documents in-mouth. "Hmm hmm!"

* Light_Seeker moves over to the next one and starts lockpicking again

* Calibrete , without looking at the documents, sets them near her hooves. If she's done this correctly, she should have /one/ last attempt at breaking into this terminal.

<GM_Chor> The last closed hooflocker contained some more bits, various personal effects, scattered memos now unreadable, and two bottles of what looks like some pre-war champagne.

* Light_Seeker grabs it all

<GM_Chor> Meanwhile, the terminal seems stuck now in a command line that won't accept input. Shutting down and powering up again doesn't do the trick. The terminal seems lost.

* Calibrete bucks the terminal. "It was broken, anyways. Now, let's see these documents..." She then flips them open and starts to pour through them

<GM_Chor> The readable documents are mostly about scientific data. Apparently this was some kind of laboratory where those ponies were carrying about some top-secret MAS experiment. Through the lines, one can read of the experiments that laboratory had been carrying out...

<GM_Chor> It mainly involved theoretical research on the nature of chaos and its applications to transforming it into some usable magic. Frequent is the mention of "Subject 001 Discord", although it is never cited as active part of the experiments. There is also more tattered papers, rejected and scribbled forms of requisition for megaspell matrixes to the MAS...

<GM_Chor> The last documents aren't readable though, as neither were the very first ones, consumed by humidity and time.

* Calibrete stashes the files away in her saddle bags. They may be useful sometime later.

* Calibrete looks around for other rooms that may hold something worth returning to the boat.

<GM_Chor> The kitchen hold little that wasn't raided, mainly the metal silverware and a couple per-war Sugar Bombs in an upper closed drawer.

<GM_Chor> Suddenly, the terminal seems to spring to life again, even if overturned and laying on the mushy floor! Lines of code flash forward, reading things like "SYSTEM RESET" and "SOLARIS INC. CONNECTION INCOMING"

* Light_Seeker goes to look for items to unlock

* Rose_Bud leans down and tilts her head sideways to read the terminal

* Light_Seeker heads over to where Rose_Bud is and reads what she is looking at "Hey Rose i think my suit said something like this."

<GM_Chor> After a minute, the screen whites out and a voice comes out. It is a oung, female voice, sounding quite unsure. "H-hello? Can you hear me? Does this thing work?"

* Calibrete approaches the terminal. "Hello? Who are you?"

* Rose_Bud smiles. "Hello! My name is Rose Bud but everypony calls me Buddy!" ... "Well they used to call me Buddy."

<Light_Seeker> "Hello I am Light_Seeker nice to meet you."

* GM_Chor sounds a little reassured from the responses she heard, "Um, hello there Buddy, Light. I'm Bianca. ... Bianca Solaris."

<GM_Chor> END SESSION GROUP 3
