  1. Digs-too-deep
  2. “The dragon of the south”
  3.
  4. Digs was born like any other kobold, his egg delivered from his mother and warmed with his brothers and sisters. Though Digs was different from his siblings, his egg’s pale shell speckled with an opalescent black, the dim light of the torches making it glitter in the flickering light. The leader of his warren knew this egg was a gift from Bahamut, and as per tradition, ordered a small band of their finest warriors to make the pilgrimage to their ancestral temple on the edge of the desert, where the young kobold would be trained and taught the ways of the dragons.

  6. As time went on, Digs hatched, and much to the dismay of his mentors, he was born without wings. Where they should have sprouted, was naught but two ridges on either side of his spine. This didn’t slow the youngling down though, for in absence of flight he learned to climb to the highest points he could find and gaze out over all that lay below. Though his teachers could not stand it, Digs developed a habit for sneaking around and hiding away. He would often skip his lessons and retreat to the top of the statue of Bahamut to play his pipes, their mournful tune carrying on the hot desert wind, for all below to hear.
  7.
  8. After several years in the temple, Digs set out on his own. Travelling from city to city seeing all there was to see, with only a pack on his back and his pipes at his side. Through the course of his travels digs learned a few tricks to make a living when he was down and out, stealing, robbery, burglary. While he didn’t enjoy doing such things, he did so out of self preservation. “It’s either me or them, and it ain’t gonna be me” was a phrase he oft repeated to himself when he thought about his life. Soon Digs fell into the seedy underbelly of the world, doing jobs for people that he shouldn’t have known existed. Hitman, smuggler, arsonist, escort, kept-man for rich fetishist nobles, as long as the pay was good then Digs would do the job.
  9.
  10. Even though Digs would do any job if the price were right, the one thing he could not stand were the Catfolk nomads that would supply him with work were he desperate enough to take it. He couldn’t stand their optimistic attitudes on life, and the way they would look at him like he was a common garden lizard to be toyed with and eaten put him on edge.
  11.
  12. "I can’t stand those Catfolk, the way they move and those shifty eyes of theirs; always doing that damned “Oh everything will get better, this one can feel it” garbage. Just sets my scales to itching when I’m around them. If I didn’t need gold then I wouldn’t even bother with them” Digs’ main supplier of work is a Catfolk named Regis, whom is a very reprehensible man. There isn’t an industry that Regis doesn’t have his tail in, and most of his higher jobs go to Digs. The two of them have a strenuous relationship and are mostly business partners.
