  1. Boe
  2. Miniscule amounts of magic come to life, Boes are, essentially, living dust bunnies: congealed balls of the detritus of their environment, with two eyes that glow a soft orange or yellow. Skittish and shy, they often simply want to be left alone – but unfortunately, Heroes have a tendency of disturbing their favorite places.
  3. Boes come in many colors, each suited to their terrain: Boes found in caves may be pitch-black, while those found in icy places might be snow-white. Boes hide in small spaces, such as within pots or in the crevices of statues, and generally only try to attack if disturbed. Individually they pose no threat, but in a swarm, they can gradually plink a Hero to death.
  4. They have Natural Camoflague - making them very hard to see in their native environment, whatever that might be.
  5. They also Swarm, which lets them all group up in one square, even a foe's square, without issue. You can only hit one at a time, unless you use an AoE on a swarming square.
  6. No particular weaknesses, but they only have 1 HP. They go poof at the slightest provocation.
  7.
  8. Rats
  9. Common Rats can be found in caves, basements, and other dark places all throughout Hyrule. They prefer to hang back, hugging the walls of the room, unless an opportunity to strike in darkness presents itself – then, they rush out to strike.
  10. Rats have Darkvision and Scent Sense, meaning they have lots of tools to see in the dark.
  11. They're also pretty evasive - but in the darkness, they're super evasive, with their Denizen of Darkness passive:
  12. While in dim light, this creature’s Evasion increases by 2. While in total darkness, this creature’s Evasion instead increases by 4, and Spells and Techniques must pass a To-Hit check to hit. While in bright direct light or sunlight, this creature is Blinded.
  13. No particular weaknesses.
  14. Oh, they're also pretty smart about Civilization! Like, smarter than some people can be.
  15. Not most people. But some people.
  16.
  17.
  18. So, this is a Magmanos - but larger and more durable than normal. You'd normally only find them in lava caves, coming out of the lava itself.
  19. You already know they're weak to Water and Ice, and they can set things on fire at a touch - or if you touch them, with a bare hand.
  20. They're just a giant fist, so they can do all the things a giant fist can do: wind up for a big hit, try to uppercut someone, or - and this is the fun one - grab and squeeze. That can put a lot of hurt on someone.
  21. And as an extra fun fact, they've been known to throw someone they've grabbed. Sometimes it's at a foe. Sometimes, it's just to dunk them in the lava.

  23. Thankfully no lava here
  24. But being swept in the river isn't nice

  26. They can also stretch some. So just dancing out of melee range won't cut it, they got some reach to them (Reach 2, technically).
  27. Oh, and they're immune to being On Fire and to all Fire damage.
  28. Like, of course.
