  1. >You are Cheerilee
  2. >you have been in the Reich ever since you heard that Ponyville was going to become a war zone
  3. >Unfortunately, you lost much of your Ponyville class once parents discovered that you were a Reich sympathizer.
  4. >Out of your three favorite students, only one remains: Scootaloo
  5. >Snips and Snails still remain, but they don't flourish in your class like Scootaloo now does.
  6. >once you became a registered citizen of the Reich, you took a teaching position at the Manos School for the Youth.
  7. >in your new position, you are able to freely spread the word of Manos.
  8. >Scootaloo is easily your best student; she absorbs everything you say, unlike she did in Ponyville. She has gone from being the student needing help on homework, to being the student who helps others with their assignments.
  9. >the material that you are provided is much more extensive than what was provided by the Equestrian government.
  10. >before, you could only teach the bare minimum to your students: Math (nothing too advanced, unfortunately), History (conveniently excluding the poor decisions made by the princesses in the past), Equestrian Language (you weren't able to get a hold on many of the literary masterpieces, as the school budget was almost nonexistent), and Science (as with Language, you weren't able to teach much due to budgetary limits).
  11. >HERE, however, you have seemingly unlimited resources to provide the students with for education!
  12. >In Ponyville, it would take WEEKS to have even basic things delivered for your classes
  13. >HERE, anything you need is delivered in DAYS!
  14. >In Ponyville, the students had to bring their own lunches, as the school couldn't afford to provide lunches
  15. >In the Reich, the children are given restaurant-quality food for their lunches!
  16. >And your salary, oh your salary is so much higher than in Ponyville
  17. >before, you barely made 35,000 bits a year. Now, your salary is almost double that!
  18. >all of it, just for teaching students!
  19.
  20. >And your students, your students are so much more well behaved than when you taught in Ponyville.
  21. >of course, a lot of their obedience comes from their devotion to their dear leader, Lord Manos.
  22. >a devotion that you share wholeheartedly.
  23.
  24. >along with your new teaching position, a new curriculum was provided
  25. >one that was rather political in nature, in your opinion
  26. >but it's from a philosophy that you support with all of your being.
  27.
  28. >the bell rings outside of your classroom, pulling you out of your thoughts
  29. >outside your door, you hear all the ruckus of students going to their next class
  30. >3rd Period: Math
  31. >your Math class files in, a neat line passing through the door, into the room
  32. >as with any day, before the students go to their seats, they form a horizontal line in front of your desk.
  33. >every student raises his/her forward right hoof to the sky and cry the national greeting
  34. >"Heil!"
  35. >you return the greeting
  36. "Heil!"
  37. >knowing what to do next, every student turns to the flag in the room and begin reciting the Anthem of the Youth, with Scootaloo leading the group in song

  39. >you sing the anthem with them
  40. >once the anthem is finished, your students take their seats, and wait for you to start the lesson.
  41. >after reflecting on how marvelous their obedience is for a few seconds, you walk over to your blackboard, and begin writing a problem.
  42. >'If it costs 103,000,000 bits to build a new insane asylum, how many 250,000 bit houses could be built for that amount?'
  43. >you step away from the board, and look to your students who are all working out the problem in their notebooks
  44. >after only a few seconds, Scootaloo raises her hoof.
  45. "Yes, Scootaloo?"
  46. >"The answer is 412."
  47. "Correct!"
  48.
  49. >the rest of the period flies by, with many students learning from your lesson.
  50. >however, Scootaloo distinguishes herself again and again, solving problem after problem before anyone else.
  51. >you decide to recommend Scootaloo for advanced courses, as she performs exceptionally well in every class.
  52.
  53. >all too soon, the bell rings. Now it's lunch time.
  54. >as your students walk out the door, you watch Scootaloo.
  55. "Scootaloo?"
  56. >Scootaloo turns away from the door and look at you
  57. >"Yes, Ms. Cheerilee?"
  58. "Could you grab bring your lunch here?"
  59. >Scootaloo looks confused
  60. >"Am I in trouble?"
  61. "No, no. I just want to talk."
  62. >"Alright..." Scootaloo says, sounding suspicious.
  63. >after a few minutes, Scootaloo returns with a tray of food.
  64. >Scootaloo manages to awkwardly greet you once more, despite holding her tray
  65. >"Heil!"
  66. "Oh, there's no need for that right now, Scootaloo, we aren't in class.
  67. >"Oh. Okay."
  68. >Scootaloo quietly seats herself in her normal seat, which is in the front row.
  69. "Now, Scootaloo, I asked you to come here for a reason."
  70. >"And what might that question be, Ms. Cheerilee?"
  71. >was this really the uncultured filly that you had taught in Ponyville?
  72. "I have noticed a distinct change in you, Scootaloo."
  73. >Scootaloo looks up from her meal, and cocks her head
  74. "Back in Ponyville, you had barely passing grades, and now you are one of the top student in this school. What changed?
  75. >Scootaloo looks as though she is in deep thought
  76. >after a few seconds, she returns her gaze to you
  77. >"I didn't have a reason to excel back in Ponyville. I had nothing to prove; no one to live up to. Back in Ponyville, I had no purpose.
  78. >as someone who tries to act motherly to your students, you want to stop her from thinking of herself so lowly; but she continues speaking before you get the chance
  79. >"Once I moved here, I found many new things. I found the desire to be better than those around me, to tower over my peers, to lead them. Here in the Reich, I have a purpose, a destiny.
  80. >you are taken aback by her words, and ask the question before you can register that you even asked it
  81. "What is your purpose, Scootaloo?"
  82. >Scootaloo gives you a small smile
  83. >"To serve Lord Manos, and the Reich. To help better its citizens. I hope to one day serve Manos directly; and to do that, I must be better than those around me."
  84. >You are awestruck. Seeing a student improve this much is something you have never seen in all of your years of teaching.
  85. >"Our world is changing, Ms. Cheerilee, and I want to help that change. I want to help OUR movement. Before I became a citizen of the Reich, I had a sense of friendship, but no sense of comradery or community."
  86. >RING RING NIGGA
  87. >Oh, curse that bell!
  88. "Thank you for stopping by, Scootaloo. Now, hurry along, or you'll be late for your next class; I'll take care of your tray."
  89. >Scootaloo is already rushing out the door
  90. >"Thanks, Ms. Cheerilee!"
  91. >seeing Scootaloo rush to her next class, you think to yourself
  92. >"She might just be the best student I've ever had...." you mumble to yourself.
  93. >oh well, time to prepare for 4th Hour World History.
  94.
  95. >you are Scootaloo
  96. >a student at the Manos School for the Youth (Manos-Schule für die Jugend)
  97. >it has been several months since you first moved to the Reich
  98. >you were lucky to have gotten out of Ponyville before it was destroyed by the Griffons and Royalists
  99. >sub-creatures and traitors
  100. >it was sad leaving your friends behind, but you have a duty to Lord Manos and the Reich
  101. >a noble duty which took priority over Sweetie Belle and Applebloom
  102. >you often wonder if they're still alive...
  103. >you haven't heard from them since you left, since the war began shortly after you left...
  104. >"Scootaloo? Are you paying attention?"
  105. >huh?
  106. >you look up from your desk towards the front of the classroom, where a concerned looking Miss Cheerilee is looking at you
  107. >you quickly answer her
  108. "Of course, ma'am."
  109. >she gives you a doubtful look
  110. >"Really, well then I'm sure you can tell me what this is."
  111. >she flicks her pointer to a large map hanging in front of her blackboard
  112. >it is a battle map, with a series of defensive positions in a forest on one side, and massed forces in the open on the other side
  113. >you grin
  114. >you'd already read ahead several chapters in your textbook before this lesson
  115. "That is a map of the Battle of the Ardennes Forest, Miss Cheerilee."
  116. >she gives you a smile
  117. >"That it is. Would you mind staying for a few minutes once class has concluded?"
  118. >you give her a casual salute
  119. "Not at all, Miss Cheerilee."
  120. >with that, Cheerilee returns to her lesson, which seems oddly unrelated to the map
  121. >weird
