Chat with Kalag

He looks up to regard you briefly, and as blue eyes appraise you, you almost think you see the shadows behind him shift slightly.
You ask, "Kalag are you paying attention?"

Seated behind his desk, the Guildleader Kalag the Sly is a silver-scaled S'Kra Mur dressed in subdued grays and reds.  Everything about him suggests that he is a normal businessman, apparently completely unarmed.  A satchel rests against his side, and as he works on various business you note that every paper comes straight out of the satchel when worked on and is placed back equally quickly when finished with, leaving his desk vacant.

Kalag tilts his head to the side slightly, as if considering you.
You say, "Well Varsyth I need to speak to you about the den, I am making it a personal endeavour to bring us back."
You say, "And I am going to ensite a little mischief at the same time."
Kalag says, "Bring us back?  You speak as if you think we've gone somewhere."
You exclaim, "Look around!"
You ask, "Besides you and I who else uses the entire guild except the odd circle request?"
You sigh.
Kalag gives you a sly smile and says, "You'd be surprised."
You sign, "does it not bother you this place is so devoid of members"
You gaze at the Guildleader Kalag the Sly.
You say, "I might."
Kalag signs, "Our members are prosperous.  We travel and spread.  Unlike the idle times we had with the Black."
Tempestuous Meganlique came through a heavy ebonwood door.
Meganlique says, "Oh there you are."
Movement from Meganlique causes the smell of vanilla to waft into the air.
You grin at Meganlique.
Meganlique asks, "Where's your den?"
Kalag raises an eyebrow.
Meganlique clears her throat.
You say, "Thats what I am speak to Varsyth about."
You clear your throat.
You say, "Speaking."
Kalag inquisitively signs, "So that's what you're after?  Your own den from mine?"
You sign, "I am after your den, yes"
Meganlique sighs 'makes.
You grin wickedly.
Meganlique signs, "'makes sense, no one's coming to a .. simple den"
Kalag stands up, pushing his chair back.
You say, "Now now."
You say, "Relax Varsyth."
You say, "I am not trying to take the guild from you."
Meganlique says to you, "He is a bit taller then you from that position."
You notice the shadows about you lightening, making it harder to conceal yourself.
You say, "I come unarmed and un armored."

Painted pale blue with thin stripes of dark sapphire, the walls of this spacious office hold tapestries and wall hangings from exotic locales around Elanthia.  The room is dominated by a mahogany desk with a high-backed leather armchair behind it.

Kalag says, "Do you not have use of it?  I have granted all brethen that have shown worth as such."
You grin.
Meganlique quietly says to you, "And don't forget to ask him about getting a contact in the guild to bring us our deeded things, since you have his attention."
You say, "I can yes, and I will be from now on, I want to draw more back to the guild, to use our services, and the den for is intended purpose."
You say, "Hell the sewers had more presence then the current den does."
Kalag asks, "What is it you wish from me, then?"
You grumble.
Meganlique looks at you, obviously trying not to grin.
You say, "It should be called Vymos Den."
Kalag folds his arms across his chest and regards Vymos with a cool, reptillian gaze.
Meganlique says to you, "Having contacts repair our tools might have been smarter."
You say, "Since I will be there more then any other, make it an open challenge to the others."
You say, "Knock me off as the den marshal."
Meganlique blinks at you.
Meganlique grins slowly.
You say, "You show more interest then I I will scede it."
I could not find what you were referring to.
You say, "But if you choose to happen by, and run off again, psh."
You say, "I only wish to unite us a little more, as it is now we ar eno better then street thugs, because thats where we are most of the time."
You say, "Other changes could be suggested."
Meganlique signs, "Den Mistress would be a better idea"
Meganlique winks at you.
You say, "Like Megans idea for a deed contact within the guild."
Kalag says, "You wish my den to become a thing claimed by a single brother or sister, setting us against each other for a small piece of recogniztion."
Kalag asks, "Do I understand you here?"
Meganlique flashes a quick grin.
You glance at the Guildleader Kalag the Sly.
Meganlique signs, "that was an amazing spin to your request V"
The air around Meganlique drifts over to you and has the sensation of vanilla.
You say, "Varsyth in my time if I uttered the password wrong I was beatn to with-in an inch of my life and thrown in the gutters."
You say, "We have never been so nice to each other... lest we become bards."
You say, "Surely you know this."
Kalag flashes a quick grin.
You say, "A little competition will inspire."
Kalag gives you both a slight nod as he says, "I admit, I have spun your words."  He looks thoughtful for a moment.
You say, "I wish to do this with the utmost respect though."
You bow to the Guildleader Kalag the Sly.
Meganlique signs, "how many of us older thieves actually take the time to talk with youngins?  I think he's onto something"
Kalag says, "I will consider the request.  For now, you may call the den whatever you wish.  It will remain as it is, until I have reached a decision."
Meganlique flashes a quick grin at you.
Meganlique's cloak flutters softly in the breeze.
You say, "That is perfect."
Meganlique says to you, "That you're still alive, tis a great sign."
Kalag signs, "As to your request to deeds.  I will also see if we can form some contacts."
You say, "Then from thus it will be Vymos Den."
You sign, "now that would be a victory. I will even help greese the right pockets if I have to"
Meganlique signs, "I can steal enough to help with that"
Kalag chortles quietly, the tip of his tail turning in a small circle.
You sign, "then with the utmost respect I thank you for taking the time to speak with me"
Meganlique flashes a quick grin at you.
Kalag bows slightly.  Glancing back down at his desk, he sighs quietly and sits back down.
Meganlique signs, "And I say thanks for helping about the deeds.  And maybe not killing V."
Kalag asks, "Was there anything else?"
You say, "Not formally."
Meganlique signs, "Not yet."
Meganlique just nudged you.
You grin at Meganlique.
Kalag signs, "There is little use in killing brethren that have not trasgressed in some lurid fashion."
Meganlique appears to be trying hard not to grin.
You sign, "well I am glad you didn't jump the gun there, I am not so sure I am ready to be guild leader"
You wink.
Meganlique signs, "depends on what your using."
Meganlique tugs on her ear.
Kalag says, "Excellent.  My decision will be apparent, should I work a fair way to make your request happen for the Den."
Meganlique grins wickedly.
Kalag says, "And give me time to form the right contacts for the deeds."
You say, "Thank you for your time Varsyth."
Meganlique signs, "excellent"
Kalag smiles briefly at you both, and returns to reading through a document on his desk.
You ask Meganlique, "Shall we head to the den?"
You stretch out a hand imploringly to Meganlique.
Meganlique asks you, "Think we should ask Limani to make pink curtains?"

Meganlique chortles softly at some secret joke.
You clasp Meganlique's hand tenderly.
