  1. Truth be told, we are a little perturbed by your recent arrival in the chat room and your discussions there. I've been told (and the log includes) that you counseled one of our members that she should disobey her parents instructions about her art. While your opinion about realism in art is welcome and we wouldn't stop you from sharing it, you know this is a Bible-centric forum and you know what it says about obeying parents. I know also that you don't necessarily share all our values, and we're fine with that as long as you're careful to not undermine those values in your discussions around the forums and the chat room.

  3. I think I should also bring you up to speed on the forum's position regarding Jay, since you asked about that, too.
  4. We are all thankful Jay started this place, and thankful for the years of work he put into developing and nurturing it. That said, Elanor and I are also in agreement that his role on HW is over. Some of our members have warm feelings for him; some have cold feelings. But those feelings are irrelevant.
  5. The reason we do not encourage discussion about Jay is because it's just not relevant any more, and has a potential to be damaging besides just being distracting. No one wants arguments or fights any more; we write fiction and make other art to the glory of God. Elanor and I don't see how discussing Mr. Lauser fits into that.
  6. The reason we do not allow video of his trial around the site is for the above reasons, and because this site is frequented by children (we were all kids when we started) and the subject matter of his trial is inappropriate. Now I know we'll probably differ on what is and isn't appropriate, but frankly, that's for Elanor and I to decide, not you
