Punctuated evolution. Complex Emergence. Look those up if you don't yet grasp them. The Only time any species evolves to the next level is when met with a great challenge. But evolution is sped up for conscious beings and culture as in Kunh's New Paradigm. And finally there is the new science of epigenetics - the genetic expression of your DNA can be changed Now, via methyl groups, not just by waiting for future generations. And nearly half of all genes have an unknown function. These functions have already been simulated or "gamed" against harsh new realities on an intragenetic level. It is stress that evokes their potential.

So this is a time of great challenge. Work and network with good will, because good work will yield good results, even though we have no idea what the next paradigm will be like.
