  1. Catalyst Host

  3. Hi everyone,
  4.
  5. Jarland here. I’d like to take a minute to personally notify you of some changes at Catalyst that I think you should be aware of. We strive to be open and honest in everything that we do, this is to honor that commitment.

  7. First I would like to announce that Ryan has accepted a position with Incero to work at the datacenter in Dallas. This is a replacement for his current full time job and this is not a departure from Catalyst. As Incero is our provider for servers and network, we feel it is important for you to understand that there now exists a link between the two companies that did not exist before. I consider this a very positive thing for our company and for our clients. We have been nothing but thrilled by the level of service that Incero has empowered us in providing, and now Ryan will physically oversee our servers (among others).

  9. Second, I have to announce a change in my employment status as well. I have accepted a position at Host Gator and I will be moving to Houston. I will be resigning from my position at Catalyst. As the system administrator at Catalyst I have been able to iron out a great system which I often call “context based administration” in which I combine automation with personal understanding of our client’s needs to try to best accommodate everyone. This style of administration is one that myself, Ryan, and Don have all adopted and perform equally well at. Catalyst will continue to be in the best hands and my resignation will not be a large impact. It will be no strange occurrence for my best friend and owner of Catalyst to ask me how I might do something. I will always be accessible if anyone would like to converse with me. This is a transition, but this is not goodbye.
  10.
  11. Keep being awesome. I know Catalyst will, because it’s nothing but a drive up I-45 for me to throw rocks at Ryan while he’s trying to rack a server.
