- >You wake up sick as a dog on the day you're supposed to move into your new apartment
- >Most of your stuff was already sent over, but you haven't been by to unpack yet
- >You clumsily stuff everything you can into your car and make the drive over, deciding that you'll just crash and unpack when you feel better
- >You get there, almost collapse twice going up the stairs, open your door, shuffle in and collapse on onto the floor with the blanket and pillow you dragged with you from the car
- >You woke up at about 6pm, and you didn't know if you were hallucinating from the fever or what, but you swear someone was taking care of you
- >A woman, she smelled nice
- >She was humming, she seemed motherly, didn't get a look at her though
- >You fell asleep again in short order
- >This time you woke up at about midnight, and you were a little more lucid
- >You got up out of bed and-
- >Wait, you didn't set your bed up yet, how did this happen?
- >You don't feel well enough to think about it too much, you need to use the bathroom
- >You shuffle there, take a piss and shuffle back
- >Should get a glass of water, where did you pack your- there's a glass of water sitting on a box next to your bed
- >Was that there when you got up?
- >You're still too sick to think too hard about it
- >You down the glass and flop back onto the bed
- >Just as your consciousness starts to fade, movement registers on the other side of the room
- >You wake up in the morning still feeling like death, and there's some soup sitting on the box where the water was last night
- >Someone props you up as you're still processing what's in front of you
- >Once again, you don't get a look at them, but you can tell it's a woman again
- >She doesn't say anything, but she sits behind you and reaches around to feed you the soup
- >When you finish eating, she leans you back onto her lap and starts to gently rub your head
- >You're finally able to see her, but you're so out of it that you can't focus
- >All you can really make out is messy, chin length blonde hair
- >Sleep takes you again before you get too worked up about it
- >You were out for almost 16 hours this time, and thankfully it seems like your fever broke
- >You don't feel like everything is spinning anymore either, nor does your whole body hurt
- >It's still a couple days before you're fully recovered, and you never saw that woman again
- >Woman? Women? How many of them were there? Were they even real or did you imagine it all?
- >Once you're feeling 100%, you get started on unpacking everything and setting things up
- >As you're putting your TV stand together, you hear a knock at the door
- >When you answer it, you're met by three women
- >Triplets, by the looks of it
- >Petite, blonde hair, red eyes
- >Dhampirs
- >The middle one was holding a big pot
- >They greeted you, told you that they were your neighbors and asked if they could come in
- >Turns out the pot held beef stew, they brought it over along with new curtains as a housewarming gift
- >You sat and ate with them while they talked
- >They told you about the neighborhood, about things to do in town, etc
- >They asked you if you were feeling better too
- >You ask how they knew you were sick, you hadn't seen or spoken to anyone since you got here
- >"Because we too-" began one of the girls, before she was stopped by a quick elbow to the side
- >"Because you look all washed out" another said
- >The pieces all fell into place, they were the ones who nursed you
- >It's kind of weird that they want to keep that a secret though
- >Oh well, you'll play along
- >"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better now, thank you for asking"
- >One of them giggles a little, and another tells you that they're always around if you need anything
- >She drew out the world anything a little bit, and you're pretty sure you caught her meaning
- >You're going to like it here
