- Authors note
- Sorry it took so long. I'm having a hard time feeling this story anymore, probably not hard to tell why.
- At any rate, I'm doing the only thing I could really think of that could keep it going, and that's start to go through some of the Season 3 events.
- I'm sure the direction it takes now might turn some more people off from the story, but it's the only thing I got. I could have just taken it straight towards an ending, but some of the Season 3 events give the rather ridiculous ending I have planned some more solid ground, and that's why I'm following it. It's entirely possible for the season to benefit this story much more than I first thought. But we'll see.
- Regardless, thanks to anybody still reading. Updates may still be slow but I have some ideas moving forward.
- >In the morning following an eventful Nightmare Night, you awaken in a rather comfortable bed
- >It sure was better than waking up on cold dirt after getting tossed into a house by your lover
- >That battle sure was something else. You had no idea you'd have that kind of fight in you
- >It was exhilarating, that's for sure. But honestly, you'd prefer to avoid confrontations like that from now on
- >There may be a substantial amount of power within you, but the events of the night before proved that you were far from immortal
- >Upon opening your eyes, you realize you're in a hospital room, laying on your back on a minotaur-sized bed
- >Of course, the hospital. Yeah, you sure did enjoy waking up here!
- >...Not
- >It seemed fairly standard. You remember doctors taking x-rays of you last night, but there were no machines or anything hooked up to you
- >Nothing to monitor your vitals or condition whatsoever
- >Must be due to that weird automatic healing magic bullshit that healed the hole you received from Cadence
- >Whatever, you really can't complain about your body healing itself while you sleep
- >At first, the dimly lit room led you to believe it was early morning, but then you noticed faint rays of sunlight peeking through the closed blinds over the rooms' only window
- >It was nice and peaceful, there wasn't a sound to be heard
- >Too comfortable and lazy to want to get out of bed, a bulge appears under the blankets covering you as you grab the string of the window blinds with your magic
- >With a simple downward pull, the blinds shoot up, allowing a barrage of sunlight to flood the room
- >Judging by the location of the sun, it was still fairly early in the morning, just as you expected
- >After giving your eyes time to adjust to the light, and to just wake up a bit more, you finally decide to stand up out of bed
- >Giving your arms and legs some stretches, you don't feel a single thing amiss
- >Yep, you felt perfectly fine
- >Awesome
- >Now there were just two things wrong with this picture
- >One being, you were wearing a minotaur-sized hospital gown, exposing your bare ass (among other things) to the world
- >Or, well, to no-one actually, since you were in this room by yourself
- >Which led you to the other problem
- >Twilight wasn't here
- >Hopefully she's not scared or anything about what she did
- >Nah, she wouldn't-
- >...Yeah, she totally could be. This is Twilight Sparkle after all
- >She would definitely be fretting if she thought she failed, or did something wrong
- >You'll worry about that in a minute though
- >First thing's first, gotta find your clothes!
- >After all, you can't just go wandering around a hospital, or anywhere for that matter, wearing something that leaves nothing to the imagination
- >Scanning around the room, you search for a closet or any place you think the nurses would have stashed them
- >There were a couple chairs aligned with a small table, a short counter next to the door with a sink on it, and it looked like you had your own bathroom
- >No closets in sight, so you check the bathroom
- >Sure enough, there it all was, hanging up on a hook on the wall
- >You happily remove the hospital gown and don your regular clothes; underwear, pants, t-shirt, socks, all of it
- >Seems like they could use a cleaning... oh well, it's the best you can do for now
- >No sign of your bat suit. You'll have to be sure to ask somebody about that later
- >As you step out of the bathroom, you notice the door into the hallway begin to gently open
- >Twilight was the one you expected to see coming in, but the first thing you notice is a white horn sticking in, followed by the rest of your guests' head
- >Her eyes peer around a bit before they finally rest on you
- >"Oh good, you're awake!" Celestia says, smiling, as she trots into the room and closes the door behind her
- "Yeah, just open the door and walk on in here, there's absolutely no chance I'm naked or anything." you respond sarcastically with your arms raised
- >This seems to have caught her off guard a bit, but she noticed the smile on your face and let out a soft chuckle
- >"I apologize Anonymous. How are you feeling?"
- "Like a million bucks!"
- >Celestia cocks her head sideways
- "Ugh.. perfectly fine, that better? So what brings you here? And where's Twilight?"
- >"She's visiting with Cadence and Shining Armor."
- "Oh, well okay, probably for the better right now anyway, I wanna talk to you ab-"
- >"About Twilight?" she asks, cutting you off
- "Yeeaaahh." you let out slowly as you take a seat on the edge of the bed
- >"I figured you would. She unleashed a rather intense amount of raw magic last night, didn't she?"
- "Well, it's kinda the reason I'm in here now isn't it?"
- >Celestia nods
- >"You see... Hmm..."
- >She hangs her head down and brings a hoof to her chin, likely attempting to find the right words to say
- >"Anonymous," she says, returning her gaze to you "Twilight Sparkle is a... special unicorn. There's a reason her magical abilities are beyond that of typical unicorns, and that she continues to be my personal student. She has been on a long road to discovering her destiny."
- "Destiny?" you ask, but she seems to ignore you and continues onward
- >"I'll admit, the events of last night really gave her an unexpected leap forward. Thankfully, nothing very negative came of it. As time goes on, she will be given more opportunities to help her improve her abilities as well as herself."
- >What the hell was she talking about?
- "Celestia, what the- ..I don't follow."
- >"It's okay Anonymous. There are many things I simply cannot tell either of you. Just know that Twilight Sparkle will be given further tests and trials, some of which she must carry out on her own. Be there for her when she needs you, otherwise I must be able to trust you to let her go from time to time."
- >Seriously. What the hell.
- "And this is all about Twilight finding her destiny?" you ask with a bit of skepticism in your voice
- >"Yes. I know it may sound strange to you, but you must trust me. As I said before, she is special. In time, you will understand. And perhaps you, too, could become a part of her destiny."
- "I- what? Uhh... You know what? No. I think I've heard enough."
- >Celestia rolls her eyes and scoffs
- >"As you wish, Anonymous. You will notice in due time, as I said. And you will understand the importance of the tasks laid before her, along with these words I'm speaking to you now. Is there anything else you wanted to speak to me about?"
- "Hmm..."
- >Honestly there really wasn't anything else
- >Twilight was your primary concern. Otherwise, maybe Princess Luna
- "Oh, how's Luna doing? And what exactly happened anyway?"
- >"Luna will be perfectly fine. She is still recovering, but she is well at the moment. It's best for you and Twilight to give it some time before speaking with her however."
- "Understandable. So, uhh.. what happened then?"
- >Celestia avoids looking at you when you repeat that question
- >"That's... difficult to answer. I assure you it's nothing to worry about. Perhaps I will tell you another time."
- "Ugh... fine." you say as you scoff at her and stand up from the bed "I guess that's all then, since you just love keeping secrets. I'm going to go see Twilight now."
- >"Very well. It was nice speaking with you Anonymous. Do let me know if either of you need anything."
- "Yeah, sure thing."
- >Closing your eyes, you begin to picture Twilight in your mind and focus your magic
- >It doesn't take long to find her, and at that moment, you vanish from your hospital room into a poof of violet mist
- >Upon reforming just moments later, you notice you've only ended up in a park just outside the hospital
- >And there's three wide-eyed p0nies staring at you from the path they were apparently walking along
- >"Anon!" Twilight shouts as she leaps forward at you, wrapping all fours around you in a tight hug
- >This causes you to lose your footing and fall backward to the ground. Thankfully it was on the grass, and not the cobblestone walkway
- "Help, police!" you beckon as the purple unicorn keeps you pinned to the ground while you playfully flail your arms about
- >You notice a faint chuckle from Cadence, and a whole lot of nothing from Shining Armor, who seems to be ignoring it
- >Twilight stops and stands up over you after your comment
- >"Are you okay Anon? Why are you asking for the police? You don't hate me because of what I did to you do you!?"
- >...Really Twilight?
- "Pff, I was trying to be funny Twi. What, can't a guy crack open a bit of humor after waking up in a hospital?"
- >Twilight looks at you with a puzzled look as you give her a stupid grin
- >She sighs and begins to smile
- >That's when you bring both of your hands to her head and bring her down for a kiss
- "So how are ya holding up Twi?" you quietly ask after breaking off the kiss, still lying on the ground on your back with Twilight standing over you
- >"Me? I'm fine, it's you we should be worried about. Just what are you doing out here anyway!?"
- "I'm just fine and dandy Twilight, not a single thing wrong with me, at least as far as I can tell."
- >"But-" she starts to ask with a worried look on her face before you interrupt
- "Really, I'm okay. Remember, I have some crazy magic in me that I don't understand at all that heals me. Seems like it kicked in again. And no I don't hate you, I could never hate you Twilight."
- >"Oh. Well, that's a relief. But we should really look into that phenomena, I really don't like not knowing these things."
- "Yeah, I know. Don't worry, you can study me all you want when we get home. For now though, do you mind getting off me?"
- >"Hmm? Oh, right! Sorry!" Twilight responds nervously as she backs away from you
- >You stand up and brush yourself off before turning to Cadence and Shining
- "Hey, it's good to see you two. How are you guys doin'?"
- >C:"We're just fine Anonymous." Cadence says with a smile while Shining just stares "Seems like you're holding up pretty well too huh?"
- "Yep. So, since we're here... I've been wanting to apologize to you Cadence, for what happened in Canterlot when Discord was out."
- >C:"Oh, no, you were just acting in defense, it's me who should-"
- "No no, you were under Discords' control, there's no need for you to apologize. Something strange came over me and I easily could have killed you. Thankfully it didn't come to that though."
- >C:"Heh, yeah. That whole situation was rather unpleasant."
- "That goes for both of us. But hey, we're both fine, so let's call it even and put it behind us. Sound good?"
- >C:"Of course."
- >SA:"Put it behind you? After you almost killed her?" Shining finally speaks up, glaring at you
- "Uh, yeah. Did you forget the part about her nearly killing me too? We both acted out of our own control, and we both ended up completely recovering in the end."
- >SA:"Well, I don't forgive you yet. Not until you figure out what it was that possessed you to do that, because it sure wasn't Discord. I mean, who knows when it could come up again? It could even force you to hurt Twiley, and I can't let that happen!"
- "Wha- Get over yourself man. It only ever happened that one time, and for a short moment, when I was dealt a potentially fatal attack. So unless Twilight tries to kill me, I doubt I'll hurt her."
- >SA:"You better be right." he says, still glaring
- >C:"Shining, knock it off!" Cadence says, nudging him with her shoulder
- "Seriously. You may not like or trust me, and whatever, that's your own thing, I'm not perfect, but don't talk to me like that. I love your sister more than anything, and I'd like for you and I to be able to get along and put these events behind us. Is that too much to ask for?"
- >Cadence let's out a little 'dawww' at your comment about Twilight, and Shining's gaze doesn't leave you
- >SA:"Yeah.." he says with a sigh "Fine. I just don't trust this crazy magic you have, especially when neither of you even understand it very well."
- >Shining still sounds somewhat aggravated, but thankfully he's calmed down a bit
- "Sure, that's understandable I guess. We'll be studying it as much as we can, believe me."
- >Suddenly you feel Twilight rub her head against your side as she stands next to you, looking up at you with a content smile, and a slight blush
- >Guess she liked that comment too
- >Twi:"Don't worry about anything big brother," Twilight says, turning to look at Shining "Anon means what he says. And I love him too!" she finishes with great enthusiasm in her voice
- >Shining Armor acquires a bit a smile from this, now seemingly satisfied with this little exchange
- >C:"Well, sorry to cut this short, but we better be getting back to Canterlot. Royal duties and all."
- >SA:"Yeah, and I better make sure the guard isn't slacking at all."
- >Twilight trots up to give them both hugs
- "No worries, I wanna get a look at P0nyville anyway, it's probably more of a wreck than I care to imagine."
- >C:"I'm glad we all got a chance to speak with you Anonymous. Hopefully we can all get together again some time soon."
- "Yeah, that'd be great. Catch you guys later!" you say, waving an arm as they say their good-byes to Twilight and begin walking away
- >Twi:"So you want to go back into town already?" Twilight asks as she turns back to you
- "Well, considering there's no reason for me to be here anymore, sure. Besides, you and I probably caused a good deal of the damage, it's only fair I pitch in to help piece things back together.
- >"Yeah, that's a good point. I bet Rainbow and the others got a good head-start though."
- "I'd be surprised if they didn't. So hey, what's the deal with your brother anyway?"
- >"Oh, he's just a little- over protective some times, it's nothing you should worry about. He just doesn't understand any of this, plus he barely knows you. One of these days we'll have to fix that you know."
- "Yeah I guess you're right. Well, shall we get a move on?"
- >Twilight looks up and stares into your eyes, her own suddenly filled with worry, for a few moments before responding
- >"Anon... I- umm-" she stutters, lowering her head in frustration
- "Twilight, what's wrong?" you ask softly, kneeling down to her
- >She slowly raises up to look at you, struggling to keep eye-contact
- >"I just- I don't know how you can say you still love me so much after what I did to you!" she finally answers in a slightly shaky voice
- "Wait, this again? You weren't in control of yourself Twi, it's okay. Don't worry about it, I don't blame you for it at all, and I said I could never hate you." you say, bringing a hand under her chin to force her to look you in the eyes, "Besides, it'll take a lot more than that to take me out of commission."
- >Twilight cracks a faint smile
- >"I know that." she says with a light chuckle "And thank you... Well then, shall we head back home?"
- >You nod as you place an arm around her while conjuring up a bit of magic
- >In a few moments, the two of you are transported to P0nyville's town square
- >It wasn't actually as bad as you expected it to be
- >All of the little craters left by Twilight and your squabble with Nightmare Moon were filled up
- >Most of the structural damage around the town square was repaired already, with the exception of a few still broken windows, signs, and a wall that fell on you
- >Rainbow Dash and the rest of the town had really put a ton of effort into it. You almost felt bad that you'd barely be able to help out at all
- >Not only that, you were worried if any of the townsp0nies had blamed you for what happened to Luna
- >Fortunately, nothing regarding that ever came up today
- >After returning, you and Twilight found Rainbow Dash and helped out wherever you could
- >Most of the remaining work was finished within a few hours
- >You spend the remainder of the evening with Twilight, Rainbow, and your other friends, just relaxing and trying to leave the previous night behind you
- >The next day, you went to Twilight's house in the morning for breakfast with her and Spike
- >She wanted you there for something, but you didn't bring it up until afterward
- "So Twi," you begin to say as you help her clean up "What did you need me for anyway?"
- >"Oh, I wanted to get started on our research. It's time to finally find out more about you and this crazy magic you have."
- "Ah, of course. Yeah I guess we don't really want it getting out of hand now do we?"
- >"No, but actually I'm more interested in the magic link that occurs when you're, uhh... with another p0ny."
- "Oh? And why is that?"
- >"Well, I'm wondering if the effect could be enhanced at all."
- "Enhanced? What do you mean?"
- >"Allow it to carry over more traits, or knowledge, or power, or... well, anything! Perhaps it could even be reversed." Twilight says bringing a hoof to her chin "Just imagine if it could be reversed Anon!" she continues enthusiastically
- "Uhh- no thanks. I'm not so sure that's a good idea Twi."
- >"Oh come on, I at least have to find out. After all, if we're going to be documenting this research and publishing it, we have to find out as much as we can!"
- >You respond by simply raising an eyebrow at her
- >"Don't look at me like that Anon..." she says dejectedly "Now come on, let's get started."
- "Ugh, fine." you say as you follow her into her basement laboratory
- >The next few days went by following a similar recurring theme
- >A good deal of time was spent with Twilight as she ran more tests and attempted new spells
- >She insisted on having sex more than once every day for a while so she could attempt to study the so-called "phenomenon" as it happened
- >Unfortunately for her, it was very difficult for her to concentrate on it while being plowed by a creature with multiple times the sexual stamina as her
- >You weren't complaining at all, but before long you had to really slow things down so she could focus some magic and try and get a good look at what was actually happening down there
- >So, yeah, that was pretty awkward.
- >You enjoyed watching her cringe, squirm, spasm, scream and moan in ecstasy;
- >Not try her damnedest to remain still while it was happening, eyes closed and focused on some magic link that was occurring while your dick was inside her
- >After going through it a couple times though, you managed to find a good pace that was manageable enough for Twilight, and pleasurable enough for you without taking too long
- >It was quite the ordeal, but the two of you were making progress
- >Twilight was adding pages to her research book every day, based on even the smallest findings
- >Even then, most of it was just theory, and her thoughts on the whole thing
- >You avoided reading what she wrote in there, mostly because you assume she probably rambled and theorized way too much. That, or maybe she was detailing the sex you two were having.
- >Hmm... Actually, that could be entertaining. You'll have to take a look at that some time
- >One day shy of a week following the incident, your new daily routine finally changed. Not only that, it got tossed out the fucking window
- "Ready Twilight?" you ask after another mediocre breakfast with your special somep0ny
- >"Of course!" she responds, beginning to trot toward her basement
- >"Twilight!" shouts Spike from upstairs as he comes jogging, almost tripping down the stairs with a scroll clenched in his claw "You gotta read this!"
- >"Hmm? Is that a letter from Princess Celestia?"
- >"Yeah! Seems really important too."
- >Twilight levitates the scroll from Spikes' claw and begins reading with a smile
- >The smile quickly turns into a look of worry and panic
- >"Oh my gosh- Princess Celestia has a test for me!? Oh no, what am I gonna do, I haven't studied anything lately!"
- >Twilight drops the scroll and starts pacing back and forth, stricken with panic
- "A test? What kind of test?"
- >She immediately stops and looks straight into your eyes
- >You expect her to shout a response, but she manages to stop herself and think, looking up toward the ceiling as she ponders this for a moment before shifting her gaze back to you
- >"Actually... she didn't say... but she did say she needs me and the Elements of Harmony to meet her in Canterlot right away."
- "Wait, what? Well then what are we waiting for? Let's gather everybody and get going!"
- >"Yeah, can you go get everyp0ny please? I have to gather my books and supplies for the test!"
- >You and Spike share a sigh as Twilight panics again and starts running around her house frantically
- "Can you try to keep her calm Spike? I'll go get everybody else."
- >Spike nods as you hastily go erect with some magic conjuration and begin teleporting from p0ny to p0ny
- >A few short minutes later, you return to Twilight's home with Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack
- >Twilight still seems to be searching for a book, both sides of a saddle-bag on the floor already stuffed full of bullshit
- >By which you mean more books, quills, scrolls and parchment, mostly
- >Spike approaches you dejectedly
- "Spike?"
- >"Sorry man. I'm pretty sure she's tuned me out by now, I can't get a word in at all."
- >Rainbow Dash floats on past you toward Twilight as you let out a sigh at Spikes comment
- >RD:"Twilight, we don't have time for this. Why are you so worried about a stupid test anyway, it's probably nothing!"
- >Twilight drops the somewhere-around-twelve books she was holding up and turns to Rainbow
- >Twi:"Nothing!? It's a test from Princess Celestia herself, it is NOT nothing!" she shouts, panic easily heard in her voice "I have to make sure I have everything, I can't chance failing this, I'd be ruined!"
- >Full panic mode now, crazy eyes and random strands of hair are sticking out of her now rather ragged mane
- >Twi:"She could drop me as her student, stop teaching me, send me away from P0nyville, send me- ...back, to magic school..."
- >Tired of her crap, you finally decide to approach and console Twilight, kneeling down and placing both hands on her shoulders
- "Twilight, knock it off. Rainbow's right, it's probably nothing to worry about. Besides, you've learned a ton of stuff about me even just in the past week right? I bet Celestia would be happy with that alone."
- >"I- but-" she attempts to speak, stuttering too much to get anything coherent out
- "Don't forget Celestia also asked for all of the Elements to be there too. Something is up, there's no way this is just a test for you."
- >Twilight tilts her head to the side, looking past you to the rest of your friends, looking on with worry; or in Rainbows case, impatience
- >"Oh, heh. Yeah, I guess you're right. I just can't help it though, I can't stand the thought of disappointing Princess Celestia!"
- "Twilight, listen to me. Disappointing Celestia is not something you need to worry about. Trust me, she's very proud of you, especially after I came into the picture."
- >Her head tilts at an angle this time, giving you a curious look
- "Just trust me Twilight. Now let's get going alright? The Princess is waiting for us."
- >"Alright then. But let me just find this last book!"
- >The moment she's done speaking, she teleports out of your grasp and back to the piles of books now littering the floor under her book-shelves
- >After allowing another sigh to escape your lips, you turn to the other five p0nies behind you
- "Everybody ready?"
- >Each one of them responds with a nod, Spike included
- "Good. Now join han- err, hooves, and leave a spot for us."
- >As they gather together, you walk back toward Twilight
- >You grab her heavy-as-a-thousand-suns saddle-bag and place it on her back, startling her
- >"Wha- Anon, what are you-"
- >Before she has a chance to finish, you teleport her along with yourself over to your friends
- >Spike grabs one of her front hooves as you grab the other with one hand, leaving the other hand to latch onto Rainbow Dash
- >Twi:"Anon, wait!"
- >Without further delay, you, Spike, and the six p0nies appear in the Grand Hall of Canterlot Castle
- >The hall is lined with stained-glass murals, each depicting a different major event in the past
- >Yep, you've been here before, nothing new
- >Celestia was on the other end of the hall, and your friends began galloping down toward her as soon as they spotted her
- >Twilight runs along with them, apparently already forgetting about the book
- >Surprisingly, Luna was accompanying Celestia, and her gaze seems to be fixed on you
- >As you friends continue on their way, Luna begins walking forward, eventually past them
- >The two of you stop as you near each other
- >"Good afternoon, Anonymous." she says in a rather quiet and calm tone
- "To you as well, Luna. I'm glad to see you're okay after what happened."
- >"Likewise. That was quite the ordeal Twilight Sparkle put us both through, wasn't it?" she asks with a light giggle
- "Heh, yeah. She has a lot of power hidden within her it seems."
- >"Indeed she does... Anonymous, we- I apologize for what happened that night, and anything else that I may have done prior. I was not being myself, and certain- events were causing centuries-old memories to emerge. It was not pleasant..."
- >Nearing the end of her speech, she lowers her head dejectedly
- >Oh boy, here we go
- >It was bound to happen sooner or later though
- >Might as well take this time with Luna while you have it, Twilight and the others will talk to Celestia about whatever's going on
- "Luna... I had a feeling all along it had something to do with Eris. There was something you said about her that was very unsettling, and at that point everything made sense. But, knowing that, and because I know I've lost control once or twice, I can forgive you. So really, just don't worry about it.
- >"Thank you, Anonymous." she responds, letting out a sigh of relief
- >At this moment you notice Twilight in the distance; she seemed to be having another panic attack
- >After she drops a scroll on the ground and watches it unravel toward Celestia, you plunge the open palm of a hand into your face as loud as you could
- >The slap is heard by all, and you manage to get a few quick chuckles from your friends
- >You turn back to Luna, who's staring at your curiously after the obligatory face-palm
- "Luna, I would like some more answers at least."
- >"Hmm, of course you would... can it wait a while though? Big sister would wish to elaborate on it as well I'm sure, yet she must send the Elements on their mission first."
- "Mission? Just what's going on anyway?"
- >"An ancient evil, once banished, has re-emerged. The Elements of Harmony are to assist Shining Armor and Princess Cadence in putting a quick stop to it."
- "Ancient Evil? If that's the case then I'm going with them!"
- >"No Anonymous. This is a task meant for the Elements of Harmony, and more importantly, Twilight Sparkle."
- "So you're saying I have to let my best friends and special somep0ny go on a quest to fight an ancient evil while I sit here with my thumb up my ass? Sorry, not happening."
- >"Anonymous." Luna says to you sternly, glaring through your eyes and into your very soul. "Celestia will tell you the rest, but you must trust us. Now if you'll excuse me, I must get some more sleep to prepare for my duties tonight. We will speak on this and other matters later this evening."
- >You respond by glaring back at Luna
- >Really, was she serious?
- >You were to just let Twilight and the others go take on some ancient evil by themselves?
- >Sure, you had no idea what this evil was capable of, and the Elements were quite powerful
- >Not to mention Twilight alone had quite a bit of her own power
- >Hmm... and if you think about it, Nightmare Moon and Discord could probably both be described as 'ancient evils,' and the Elements took care of them, right?
- >So maybe they could handle this too
- >Maybe they don't need your help...
- >But damn if you're not going anyway just to make sure!
- >"Anon!" Twilight's shout startles you back to reality
- >With a quick teleport and the usual strange feeling of a one-second-long erection, you appear next to her
- >"Anon, you missed everything Celestia had to say!"
- "Hmm? Oh, yeah, sorry. Luna told me a few things. So what's this all about, and why do you want me to stay here and let them go without me?" you ask as you look up anxiously at Celestia
- >Twi:"Go without you?" Twilight asks worriedly
- >Cel:"Anonymous, remember what we spoke about in the hospital?"
- "Yeah...?"
- >Cel:"Good. We may speak about it in private, but for now you must allow Twilight and your friends to be on their way. Time is of the essence."
- >Twi:"Wait a minute, we're not going without Anon! Why can't he come with us Princess?"
- "Twilight, it's okay. I think I know what she's talking about. Just get going, don't worry about me. Besides, I can just teleport to you if you get ahead of me."
- >Twi:"Ugh, now you're suddenly on her side? Just a few seconds ago you were-"
- >Twilight is silenced as you snatch her up and wrap your arms around her in a hug
- "Just stop Twi." you whisper to her, "I don't like it either but I think I understand. Just go okay? Do your best, and don't worry about anything else but the task at hand. You'll be fine."
- >RD:"Come on guys, the train's about to leave!" Rainbow interrupts, signalling everyone to join her
- "Now go on Twi, your friends are waiting, and they need you. I'll be here when you get back okay?"
- >Twi:"Hmph... Fine, you win.... I love you Anon." she says before giving you a quick peck on the lips
- "I know, love you too Twi. Good luck!"
- >Finally, she begins trotting off behind her friends as they take off down the hall
- >"Anonymous, I apologize for forcing you to remain here, but-"
- >You turn to face Celestia as she begins speaking, then proceed to cut her off
- "Oh, you're not forcing me to stay here Celestia. But I will based on the fact that this one those 'trials' you said you'd be giving to Twilight, right?"
- >"Yes, that is correct, and it is a rather important one at that. The timing of this event is no coincidence, it will surely help Twilight Sparkle along the path to discovering her destiny."
- "And there's that destiny talk again. Look, I know things work way different here than in my world, but I don't believe in destiny. So I'm sorry if I'm a little skeptical on all this."
- >"That is understandable. I'm confident I could make you a believer in mere moments if I provided the right information, but that is not something I can do. You will just have to trust in my sister and I, as well as Twilight Sparkle. As I said before, when the time comes, it will all become clear."
- "I hope you're right about that, but now you're just making me even more curious."
- >"All I ask from you is your patience and understanding, Anonymous."
- "Fine. You have to understand though that I still can't help but worry about them."
- >"Oh I understand. Luna and I will be watching over them while they are away, so don't worry. You will be the first to know if anything goes wrong."
- "Good, I'm gonna hold you to that ya know."
- >"Of course."
- "Also, if this is a trial for Twilight, why did you need the Elements to go as well?"
- >"The place they are going to, known as the Crystal Empire, is very large, and this evil hasn't made its presence known yet. Shining Armor and Princess Cadence are already there, doing their best to keep the evil away, but won't hold out forever. Twilight and her friends have much work to do and a lot of ground to cover."
- "And why couldn't I help with that?"
- >Celestia pauses for a moment before responding
- >"That's a difficult one to answer. You and Twilight share such a strong bond, that when it comes time for her to complete her task, I feared it would be impossible to separate the two of you. In normal circumstances that wouldn't be an issue, but a great task will be laid before her that she must complete on her own."
- "I see. This doesn't make much sense to me though, why is this so important?"
- >"Twilights' trials are important not only to us and herself, but to all of Equestria. That is not something I will be able to elaborate any further on however."
- "So... ugh, dammit this is just too much..." you retort as Celestia stifles a light giggle
- >"Well then, may we continue this later? I do have other duties to attend to."
- "Sure. I guess I'll see you and Luna some time this evening then hmm?"
- >"Yes. Feel free to make yourself at home here. If you'd like to expand your magic knowledge and ability some, be sure to visit the Star Swirl the Bearded wing of the Canterlot Archives. It's entirely possible you could learn more about your situation as well."
- "Interesting, maybe I'll do that. Thanks."
- >"Think nothing of it. Goodbye Anonymous."
- "See ya later Celestia."
- >Well, that was certainly an interesting exchange
- >All this colossal bullshit about destiny, and how the destiny of one p0ny can somehow effect the whole fuckin' country or whatever is making your brain hurt
- >You think it's time for some fresh air
