  1. Welcome to the big weekend CK2 game! Steam group can be found here http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198050177058/groups/, or search 'Random CK2 multiplayer games' on Steam, or add 'Eslin CK2' as a friend. If you want to play but don't want to join the steam group, send Eslin a message and he'll pass on your desired start to the game host, Tuen. Game will start once the Horse Lords DLC comes out and run on weekends.

  3. CHARACTER CREATION:

First of all your character; characters will be pre-made so that everyone can have the same stats at the start, without any abuse of the ruler designer mechanics, and without any randomness of playing a non-custom character. The game starts in the year 769 and the Abbasids and Karlings will have their lands reduced to prevent big blobs.

  7. - Your culture must be in the culture group of your starting duchy (example: if your starting duchy is Greek you can still be Georgian, Armenian, or Alan) and must exist at the start of the game. (no English, Mongol, Nahua, Russian, Roman, French, Norman, Occitan, Catalan, Castilian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian (in the 768 start))

  9. - Your religion must be the local religion (not a heresy) OR one of these [Jewish, Samaritan, Karaite, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Aztec, Zunist, Hellenic, Nestorian, Messalian]

  11. If you start as one of the unique religions that are stated above, your capital county will be converted to the religion you picked. (so you won't have to rely on RNG to convert it)

  13. - You may pick any duke in the game. If you don't start tribal or nomadic you can choose to be a republic. It is preferred that people pick different religions and cultures as to have some variety in the game.

  15. - You may choose an education trait. Learning and Intrigue education will get level 3, Martial, diplomatic and stewardship will get level 2. All base stats will be edited so that every ruler starts with 8/8/8/8/8 stats, and no traits.

  17. - If you so desire you can provide a picture of your desired looks/family emblem, or provide an ethnicy (and I'll make him fat and ugly with a neckbeard) and a (dynasty/personal) name.

  19. - All characters will be created/submitted before the start of the game, so that there can be no issues with the ruler designer.

  21. WAR AND DIPLOMACY

  23. - You may only use "Invasion" Casus Belli (Including 'Tribal Invasion' and 'Muslim Invasion') on realms that are your neighbours AND have more holdings than you. (check the ledger under 'Independent realms')

  25. - You may only use 'Caliphal subjugation' on the AI, not on players
  26.  
  27. - If a war reaches 100% warscore against a player you must surrender or enforce peace
  28.  
  29. - The 'raise tribal army' option tribes get is too strong due to unlimited numbers being raisable if you stay at war, but without it tribes are too weak. Therefore you can only raise 2500 soldiers at a time as a duke, 5000 as a king or 7500 as an Emperor. To ensure scaling with age for those staying tribal, you can have another 2500 tribal troops per 50 years of game time.

  31. - Alliances and the joining of wars is always allowed when possible (through marriage, being a vassal, same religion, etc). You may also instead declare a separate war if you have a Casus Belli and have any agreements after white-peacing (example; vassalization (when allowed), payments of money, and granting independence to land).

  33. - Vassalization is only allowed if the other player is NOT the strongest player and NOT within 20% of the strongest player's realm size. (Does not count AI)
  34. Example: If the strongest player is the Holy Roman Empire with a realm size of 300, you can NOT be a vassal of anyone that has a realm size of 240 or more. You can still ally these players and join their wars if the game mechanics allow it.

  36. - You may only assassinate a player's character if it is not their beginning character and their previous character was not assassinated.

  38. GAME PLAY AND SCHEDULING

  40. - The game will always be hosted at 14.00 Amsterdam time, possibly earlier.
  41.  
  42. - The game will start at 14.30 Amsterdam time at the earliest, anyone joining the lobby after 14.30 will be kicked.

  44. - We will use teamspeak 3 on the /r/paradoxplaza teamspeak
  45.  
  46. - The game will proceed at speed 1 for 2 months ingame time. After this we will try to keep the speed at speed 2.
  47.  
  48. - During the first hosting of the day we will keep it paused for a maximum of 5 minutes to let people settle into their characters.

  50. - There can only be pausing if you won a war and gained land at least 5 holdings over your demesne limit. you must try to grant titles as soon as possible.

  52. - If you are overwhelmed by the game you can reasonably request a speed 1 for a little while (for example: dangerous factions, a hard war, ruler just died, discovered a plot to kill you)
  53.  
  54. - You may only banish another player if they have been repeatedly disloyal, no vassalising and then banishing a player for their lands.
  55.  
  56. - Any other pausing, unless granted to be justified by all admins, will result in a deduction of 10x your monthly income/prestige/piety per pause, determined after the session is over.

  58. - If you disconnect we may rehost for you if you are a relevant nation (top 5 of all players, or in the early game when everyone is still weak and vulnerable). we may choose not to rehost if you are not a relevant nation and/or there has already been a rehost in the last 30 minutes.
  59. [To avoid the AI fucking up your nation when we don't rehost, try to stay under your demesne limit, and try not to save up too much gold / tech]

  61. - Players that join later on can pick a nation that is as strong as the weakest player or any duke. If you want to be a vassal of another player then you must be 2 titles weaker than him. This means you can be a count vassal of a king, or a duke/count vassal of an emperor. They may not decline this but if you are disloyal they can revoke all your titles and banish, castrate, execute, and/or imprison you, just like they can with any other vassal.
