  9. There seems to be some assumption of everything and we can get you the info you need to understand what they do and how they can assist the city in its future.

  27. I thought funds in the ldc were from a lawsuit the city of troy won against nimo.. and that would be considered public funds... I could be wrong..

  37. I believe you are confused. The LDC is a public entity ie public funds. Will yours and Pats name be on all their social media? Development my ass.

  45. Troy Central Little League could apply for funding. It's wonderful that they just received a tremendous amount of assistance through the Leadership Institute.

  49. I think that you are confusing the funding that the teams have received in the past through the City that is included in this year's budget. That is something completely different.

  53. Funding from the Troy LDC is not public funding. It is private funds that belong to the Troy Local Development Corporation which is a not-for-profit organization that was created to assist the city in its development efforts.

  75. In that case why would Central Little League be excluded? And quite frankly Central caters to all Troy residents unlike Spring whose players are from surrounding towns i.e. North Greenbush. Never mind, just more insider rewards of public funds.

  90. Yes, a façade grant request was submitted by Spring Youth to the LDC for its consideration at today's board meeting. They submitted a proposal outlining their current situation and what the LDC funds would be utilized for as was shown on the agenda. Their proposal submitted outlines the proposed improvements to the facility.

  93.
  94. As they state being the oldest community based youth sports organization in Troy; I'm sure the new board of directors (the previous board resigned late last year) would love to hear from you and show you their facility and their plans. I've been on site and they are looking to improve the facility to attract more activity as a regional and statewide destination for tournaments. In fact, they are having opening day ceremony on May 7th if you want to put that on your calendar. I'm sure more details will follow.
  95.
  96.
  97.
  98. In addition, the LDC AND the City in this instance would be listed as a supporter of the organization at its facility, on its website and social media outlets.

  102. As I stated in the previous email, grant approvals are followed by an agreement of terms and then follow through of those terms to receive their payment.

  106. Thank you,

  120. Monica, first let me congratulate you on your appointment as Interim Executive Director of the Local Development Corporation. On today's agenda is public funds going toward the Spring Little League. It seems this organization has for many years been plagued with money problems described to me and the police department as self-inflicted. As my memory serves there is money that goes to a consortium of sorts of youth sports organizations. There was controversy over the sharing of these funds in the past but I had taken the stance that not everyone would be happy with the splits. This grant to Spring is quite concerning as how would this fall under local development and also why would we use public funds to reward poor behavior? Thanks
