  1. Brute - Hitman
  2.
  3. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Brute Lualdi. You are aligned with the Mafia and your role progression is Hitman. You win when the members of your faction outnumber the other factions or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  4.
  5. Level 1 (start) – Future King. One day you will overthrow the Tethe'allan king and rule both Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, as you are surely destined to, but your grand master plan will take a little longer to reach fruition; until then, you have no special actions or abilities, but you may be chosen to make your faction's nightly kill.
  6.
  7. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Unstable Commander. You have uncovered a mystical core that makes you all but unstoppable in battle, and you are totally going to ignore all the stories about how long-time exposure to its power can cause severe mental instability. That's the kingly thing to do. Once per game, if you make your faction's nightly kill, you may choose to make that kill unblockable. Unblockable kills cannot be stopped by doctor protection or by someone roleblocking you. If you choose to make your kill unblockable and you kill a target that is not being protected by a doctor, or if you are not roleblocked that night, you will die as well as your target.
  8.
  9. Level 3 (11+ posts) – Commander. You have managed to suppress the core's debilitating powers—for now—and it's time to get down to business. Your role is the same as level 2, but you will not die if your target is not being protected or if you are not being roleblocked. You may make an additional unblockable kill (total two per game).
  10.
  11. Level 4 (22+ posts) – Ragnarok. Immeasurable power is yours, all yours, and virtually nothing will stop you from getting yet another taste of innocent blood. Your role is the same as Level 3, but you may make one more unblockable kill (total three per game).
  12.
  13. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  14.
  15. Your fellow Vanguard members are Alice (<player name>), Decus (<player name>) and Hawk (<player name>). You may speak to them in private to coordinate your plans. I have created a QuickTopic [here] to make discussion easier for you. You must choose which member of your faction is to make a kill each night, and that member must be the only one who PMs me with the kill target; if I receive targets from more than one of you, they will be considered in the order Brute > Alice > Decus > Hawk and the others will be ignored. Remember to specify whether you (Brute) are performing an unblockable kill or a regular kill.
  16.
  17.
  18.
  19.
  20. Alice - Poisoner
  21.
  22. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Alice. You are aligned with the Mafia and your role progression is Poisoner. You win when the members of your faction outnumber the other factions or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  23.
  24. Level 1 (start) – Happy Sadist. You've been working your precious pet monsters day and night in preparation for the Vanguard's great coup, but they aren't quite ready yet. Until then you have no special actions or abilities, but you may be chosen to make your faction's nightly kill and can spend plenty of time bossing Decus and Hawk around while you wait.
  25.
  26. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Sadomasochist. At long last one of your more venomous pets has produced a sample of an incredibly wicked poison, and you're eager to give it a test run on someone; you really shouldn't be so "careless" with it, though. Once per game, if you make your faction's nightly kill, you may choose to make that kill a poisoning death. Poisoning deaths will cause the affected player to die on the night after you poison them, and doctors can only save them if they target that player on the same night you do. If you choose to cause a poisoning death, there is a 40% chance that you will mishandle the poison and die at the end of the next night phase.
  27.
  28. Level 3 (10+ posts) – Le Mal du Siècle. You've procured even more of your special poison, and also gone to the trouble of producing an antidote for yourself just in case. Your role is the same as Level 2, but there is no chance that you will mishandle the poison and poison yourself. You may cause an additional poisoning death (total two per game).
  29.
  30. Level 4 (19+ posts) – A Season in Hell. More poison, more sweet, delicious poison, ahahaha! People dropping like flies left and right at unpredictable times... oh, how you relish the opportunity to sow more chaos! Your role is the same as Level 3, but you may cause one more poisoning death (total three per game).
  31.
  32. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  33.
  34. Your fellow Vanguard members are Brute (<player name>), Decus (<player name>) and Hawk (<player name>). Remember to specify whether you (Alice) are performing a poisoning kill or a regular kill.
  35.
  36.
  37. Decus - Roleblocker
  38.
  39. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Decus. You are aligned with the Mafia and your role progression is Roleblocker. You win when the members of your faction outnumber the other factions or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  40.
  41. Level 1 (start) – Dumbo-Decus. Certain as you are that this pet name actually stands for "Dashing, Undaunted, Majestic, Brilliant and Oh-so-handsome", your beloved Alice has still managed to convince the commander that you are pretty much worthless and shouldn't be given any tricky tasks. You have no special actions or abilities, but you may be chosen to make your faction's nightly kill.
  42.
  43. Level 2 (3+ posts) – That New Man Smell. Your brand new cologne has just arrived in the mail, and you can't wait to try it out and attract Alice with your new manly man-smell. The smell is so overpowering that it's capable of knocking people off of their feet—including you. Each night you may choose one player to roleblock. There is a 50% chance that that player will be unable to use their night action (if they have one) for that night and a 50% chance that they will be unaffected and that you will be unable to use a night action (including making your faction's nightly kill) on the following night instead.
  44.
  45. Level 3 (9+ posts) – Eau de Seduction. You have finally discovered the perfect balance of the perfect cologne, and with it, you are instantly the pinnacle of manly desire. The manly man-smell has grown on you, but it still seems to make those around you swoon dramatically. Good stuff! Your role is the same as Level 2, but you will always roleblock your target with 100% certainty and will never hinder yourself.
  46.
  47. Level 4 (17+ posts) – Everyone is Gay For Me!. It's true! Your manly man-smell is irresistible to anyone of any sex, and you could easily suffocate I mean seduce anyone in a twenty-foot radius of your current location. Your role is the same as Level 3, but you may choose two players to roleblock each night instead of one. If you do, you will be unable to use a night action (including making your faction's nightly kill) on the following night.
  48.
  49. Level 5 (40+ posts) – Sturm und Drang. But sometimes even your manly man-smell isn't enough to drive the point home, and you've got to get more than a little rough to keep your enemies quiet. Excessive force? Knocking someone out for an entire day? Pfft, perfectly acceptable—break out the sword! Your role is the same as Level 4. Additionally, twice per game you may choose to silence one player at night instead of roleblocking them. That player will be unable to post during the next day phase. You may not choose to silence the same player twice.
  50.
  51. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  52.
  53. Your fellow Vanguard members are Brute (<player name>), Alice (<player name>) and Hawk (<player name>). You (Decus) cannot make a kill and roleblock a player on the same night; if you wish to both kill and roleblock, Brute, Alice or Hawk must submit the kill instead.
  54.
  55.
  56.
  57. Hawk - Framer
  58.
  59. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Hawk. You are aligned with the Mafia and your role progression is Framer. You win when the members of your faction outnumber the other factions or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  60.
  61. Level 1 (start) – Footstool. Being the low man on the totem pole sucks, especially when it means getting shoved around by a little girl half your size. You have no special actions or abilities—though Alice does think you make a lovely footrest when she's tired—but you may be chosen to make your faction's nightly kill.
  62.
  63. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Finger Pointer. They still won't let you do anything important, dammit, so for the time being you just amuse yourself by casting baseless aspersions against some of the innocent townsfolk. The investigators don't always believe you, but hey, it's something to do. Each night you may choose one player to frame. If that player is also targeted by an inspection action on the same night, there is a 75% chance that the inspector will see that player as "mafia" regardless of their true alignment.
  64.
  65. Level 3 (7+ posts) – Incriminator. ...nope, still under-appreciated and still not allowed to do anything more important than execute the occasional nobody. Perhaps if you showed some more initiative, maybe put more effort into framing innocent people for the Vanguard's extreme actions, the commander would take notice? Your role is the same as Level 2, but you will always frame your target with 100% certainty.
  66.
  67. Level 4 (17+ posts) – Smooth Talker. You're really not as useless as the rest of the Vanguard captains seem to think—why, if it weren't for you out there, cleaning up after them and making them look picture-perfect, they'd all be in a lot of trouble. Your role is the same as Level 3. Additionally, instead of choosing to frame an innocent, you may choose to have another mafiosi in your faction appear "not mafia" to inspection. You cannot choose yourself.
  68.
  69. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  70.
  71. Your fellow Vanguard members are Brute (<player name>), Alice (<player name>) and Decus (<player name>). You (Hawk) cannot make a kill and frame a player on the same night; if you wish to both kill and frame, Brute, Alice or Decus must submit the kill instead.
  72.
  73.
  74. Richter - Terrorist
  75.
  76. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Richter Abend. You are aligned with the Mafia and your role progression is Terrorist. You win when the members of your faction outnumber the other factions or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  77.
  78. Level 1 (start) – Researcher. You are on a mission and do not intend to let anyone stand in your way, but you're no fool—there is much for you to study before you can act, so that when you do you can be certain of success. You have no special actions or abilities. The Mafia does not know who you are and you do not know who they are; you do, however, know that Aqua is <player name>, though you are unable to contact them.
  79.
  80. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Blind Rage. Filled with righteous fury after a certain someone murdered your friend, you all but forget your research and instead forge a dangerous pact with Hell—and those things have a way of coming back to bite you. At any point during the day phase you may post Kill <player name> in the thread to kill yourself and that player. There is a 25% chance that your attack will backfire before you reach your target and you will die but your target will survive.
  81.
  82. Level 3 (7+ posts) – Eternal Recurrence. After taking some time to calm yourself down and resume your research, you have gained greater control over your infernal gifts and can act with a great deal more precision and decisiveness. Your role is the same as Level 2, but there is no chance that your attack will backfire and you will kill your target with 100% certainty.
  83.
  84. Level 4 (16+ posts) – Leader of the Vanguard. Further research and reconnaissance has identified your unwitting puppets I mean Vanguard partners at last. Killing them when you're out looking for revenge would be unproductive and also extraordinarily stupid, so now you don't have to worry about that. Your role is the same as Level 3. When you reach this level I will PM you and give you the names of the remaining members of the Mafia; you cannot speak to them but will be able to avoid killing them by mistake. Additionally, there is a 5% chance that you will survive when you kill a player in the day thread (though you will, of course, be identified to the innocents by your actions).
  85.
  86.
  87.
  88. Aqua - Rolestopper
  89.
  90. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Aqua. You are aligned with the Mafia and your role progression is Rolestopper. You win when the members of your faction outnumber the other factions or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  91.
  92. Level 1 (start) – Lost Centurion. Part of you still regrets your desertion of the other Centurions to follow a mortal, and you're feeling guilty enough to refrain from using any special actions or abilities. The Mafia does not know who you are and you do not know who they are; you do, however, know that Richter is <player name>, though you are unable to contact them.
  93.
  94. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Sea Creature Summoner. Finished with your guilt trip, you are now ready to further the cause of Richter and the Vanguard in secret. All you have to do is call a few of your precious aquatic monsters out to play, and they'll be sure to muddle up any funny business going on around your target. Well, they'll try, anyway. Each night you may choose one player to rolestop. There is a 50% chance that that player will be unaffected by any roles that target it except for Mafia kills.
  95.
  96. Level 3 (10+ posts) – Rainmaker. Perhaps the monsters are a little too unreliable... but no matter. A little water magic here, a little more there, and anything that tries to keep the Vanguard away from your target will be washed away. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you will always rolestop your target with 100% certainty.
  97.
  98. Level 4 (20+ posts) – Ladon. You're growing desperate now, and you're willing to go as far as you have to to keep the path clear for Richter and the others—even turning yourself into a terribly intimidating monster, taxing though it is, and guaranteeing that even the most stoic foes will be stunned into inaction. Your role is the same as Level 3. When you rolestop your target you will also cancel out any self-targeting or innate abilities that would affect that player that night or during the next day phase.
  99.
  100. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  101.
  102.
  103. Lloyd - Vigilante
  104.
  105. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Lloyd Irving. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Vigilante. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  106.
  107. Level 1 (start) – Gentle Idealist. You just want the world to be a better place, and you wish that you could bring that about without all of this senseless violence. At this point you'd really rather not do anything drastic, like, say, run around in the dark stabbing people with your swords, and so you have no special actions or abilities.
  108.
  109. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Drifting Swordsman. You've had enough of this "talking" crap. It's time to take matters into your own hands. Each night you may choose one player you wish to kill. You don't handle making serious mistakes well, however—if you accidentally strike down two of your fellow innocents, you will kill yourself in shame. I will warn you via PM the first time you kill an innocent player.
  110.
  111. Level 3 (9+ posts) – Grand Swordsman. You've done a little thinking and a little growing, and you've learned to face your mistakes and move on. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you won't be inclined to kill yourself if you accidentally slay a fellow innocent. You should still probably try really hard not to let that happen, though.
  112.
  113. Level 4 (18+ posts) – Sword of Swords. A little more thinking time and a lot more practice time has drastically enhanced your skills as a swordsman, and there is little that your whirling blades cannot cleave in twain. Your role is the same as Level 3, and there is a 50% chance that your kill will bypass roleblockers.
  114.
  115. Level 5 (40+ posts) – Tetra Slash. This title is awarded only to those so skilled with a blade that their swords are everywhere at once—including at the throats of multiple enemies. Your role is the same as Level 4, but your kills cannot be roleblocked or redirected. Additionally, once per game you may submit the names of two players you wish to kill, and both will die.
  116.
  117. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  118.
  119.
  120.
  121. Colette - Jack-of-all-Trades
  122.
  123. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Colette Brunel. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Jack-of-all-Trades. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  124.
  125. Level 1 (start) – Friendship First. Why can't we all just get along? Surely you can find a way to root out those nasty bad guys without potentially harming your friends and other innocent people. Friendship solves everything! and you'd prefer trying to talk your way out of this mess over flailing around in the dark; as such, you have no special actions or abilities.
  126.
  127. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Klutz. No, it looks like you can't "all just get along", so now you've got to do something about it. Time to call upon your Awesome Chosenly Angelic Powers and dish out some justice! Which would be a lot easier if you had any idea what most of those powers did! Each night you may choose one player you wish to use your powers on. You will randomly protect, roleblock, kill or do nothing to that player (25% chance each), and you will not be told what the result of your action was. Protection will clash with Raine and Sheena.
  128.
  129. Level 3 (10+ posts) – Super Girl. Okay... okay! You've spent some time practicing, and now you've got the hang of these crazy angel powers! Mostly! Each night you can submit the name of one player you wish to use a power on. You may choose to protect, roleblock, inspect or kill that player; however, each power can only be used once. Protection will clash with Raine and Sheena.
  130.
  131. Level 4 (19+ posts) – Little Pickpocket. Stealing is mostly bad, but it's totally okay if the world is in danger! Right? Your role is the same as Level 3, but if you have already used one of your powers you may use that power one additional time. However, you may also attempt to "borrow" an action from another player—instead of using one of your normal powers, you may choose one player you wish to pickpocket. If that player has an action that is analogous to one of your powers, you gain an additional use of that power; you will not be told that player's actual role, however. I will randomize a power for you if you target Dirk or the Wonder Chef.
  132.
  133. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  134.
  135.
  136.
  137.
  138. Genis - Inspector
  139.
  140. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Genis Sage. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Inspector. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  141.
  142. Level 1 (start) – Study Harder!. You're the smartest kid in class and the best elemental sorcerer you know, but you still have rather a lot to learn about investigative magic. Until you bury your nose in a few more books, you have no special actions or abilities.
  143.
  144. Level 2 (2+ posts) – Experimental. Maybe you should try this detection spell, or... or maybe that one, or... what does this do again? Maybe if you combine these two spells you'll get better res... uh, wait... When you reach this level, I will randomly determine a sanity for you out of sane (inspection results are always accurate), naïve (always gets "not mafia" results), paranoid (always gets "mafia" results) and insane (inspection results are always reversed so that mafiosi appear "not mafia" and innocents appear "mafia"). You will not be told which sanity you have been given. Each night you may choose one player to inspect, and I will PM you that player's alignment according to the sanity assigned to you. If you inspect Emil while they are active then I will either inform you or not according to your sanity.
  145.
  146. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Sorceror. With a bit more practice, you've finally managed to get your magical investigations under control. Your role is the same as Level 2, but your sanity is guaranteed to be "sane" and all inspection results will be accurate.
  147.
  148. Level 4 (18+ posts) – Warlock. Now we're cooking! No one's true intentions will escape your magical might. Not only can you divine another person's alignment, but every so often you can see even further... Your role is the same as Level 3. Additionally, once per game, instead of asking for a player's alignment, you may instead ask me directly about which player holds a certain role (e.g., "What is Player A's role?"). You may only ask this question about a living player.
  149.
  150. Level 5 (40+ posts) – Mana Master. You, young sir, have reached the absolute pinnacle of investigative magical prowess. Nothing can remain hidden from you—or, for that matter, anyone else you deign to share a taste of your godly knowledge with. Your role is the same as Level 4. Additionally, twice per game, rather than receive your inspection results personally, you can PM me the name of another player you would like to give the results to instead. You can choose to give the results of the direct question ("What is Player A's role?") if you have not already asked that question yourself. I will PM the results to that player instead of sending them to you; your username will not be revealed to that player. If you wish you may also submit the names of up to two backup players (not including yourself) that will receive the results if your first intended target dies that night.
  151.
  152. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  153.
  154.
  155. Raine - Doctor #1
  156.
  157. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Raine Sage. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Doctor. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  158.
  159. Level 1 (start) – Professor. Your nose is constantly buried in books, searching frantically for a way to keep your friends safe from this encroaching threat. You have no special actions or abilities, but hell if you won't manage to read about some soon!
  160.
  161. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Passable Chef?. You don't care what your friends say—you are an amazing cook, and you are certain that your delicious dishes even have healing properties. That one time your rice-stuffed lemons made Genis throw up? You totally intended that as an emetic. Really. Each night you may choose one player to protect. There is a 50% chance that all lethal actions (except unblockable kills) directed at your target that night will fail. If you and at least one other player with a doctor action successfully protect the same target, your powers will clash and your target will die. You cannot protect yourself.
  162.
  163. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Wisewoman. You've set your fabulous cooking skills aside and decided to get down to brass tacks—your trusty healing magic is far more effective anyway. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you will protect your target with 100% certainty.
  164.
  165. Level 4 (18+ posts) – Grand Healer. Intense study and the helpful addition of a unicorn horn have allowed you to perfect your healing magic, which is now so potent that it can even defend people against the misguided protective efforts of others. Your role is the same as Level 3, but your powers will not clash if used on the same target as another player with a doctor action and the target will live.
  166.
  167. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  168.
  169.
  170.
  171. Sheena - Doctor #2
  172.
  173. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Sheena Fujibayashi. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Doctor. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  174.
  175. Level 1 (start) – Indecisive. You know how to summon spirits, but some unfortunate incidents in the past have all but shattered your confidence and you're really not sure you can do it. You have no special actions or abilities until you can find yourself a backbone.
  176.
  177. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Elemental Summoner. Okay, then, you're... you're going to give this summoning thing a try and have a Summon Spirit protect someone for you. Of course, the Spirit's intimidating presence will probably terrify your target into total inaction, but... at least they're not dead, right? Each night you may choose one player to protect. All lethal actions (except unblockable kills) directed at your target that night will fail. Your target is also roleblocked and cannot use their night action (if they have one) on that night. If you and at least one other player with a doctor action successfully protect the same target, your powers will clash and your target will die. You cannot protect yourself.
  178.
  179. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Master Summoner. A series of successful summonings has finally bolstered your confidence, and you are now in complete control of the spirits you summon. There'll be none of this silly intimidation stuff on your watch. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you will not roleblock your target.
  180.
  181. Level 4 (18+ posts) – Chicken. Nononono you're not chicken, it's... it's... strategic retreat! You're a pretty important person to keep around! Your role is the same as Level 3, but you may choose to protect yourself instead of another player at night.
  182.
  183. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  184.
  185.
  186. Zelos - Doublevoter
  187.
  188. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Zelos Wilder. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Doublevoter. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  189.
  190. Level 1 (start) – Casanova. You are unbelievably sexy, and women throw themselves at you all the time. These women are way more interesting than whatever's going on over there, so even though you might have some special actions or abilities you just plain don't care enough to use them.
  191.
  192. Level 2 (2+ posts) – Loudmouth. Time to put those sexy looks and that gorgeous voice to work, prettyboy, and speak out! Any lynch vote you make counts as two votes. Others are not inclined to like those who are vocal about lynching the wrong person, however—if two innocent players are lynched and you were on both of their lynch bandwagons, you will be killed on the night after the second lynch.
  193.
  194. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Princess Guard. Sometimes it's better to be soft-spoken; you don't need to yell when you have an actual princess indebted to you and ready to put her royal weight behind whatever you say. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you will not be killed if you accidentally lynch two innocents.
  195.
  196. Level 4 (16+ posts) – Gigolo. No woman can resist you—hell, some men can't even resist you—when you turn on the charm, give 'em a smile and promise 'em a good time. They'll vote for whoever you tell them to, really! Each night you may choose one player whose vote you wish to buy. For the next day phase only, that player's vote is counted as being the same as whatever vote you make instead of what that player actually votes for (e.g., if you vote for Player A then I will count your target's vote for Player A as well). If you vote but your target does not, I will tally the votes as if your target did vote. If you do not vote but your target does, I will tally the votes as if your target also did not vote.
  197.
  198. Level 5 (35+ posts) – Narcissist. Your immense sexiness and awesome Chosenitude are good for more than just telling people to who to vote for—they're also good for telling people who not to vote for. That would be you, mostly. Your role is the same as Level 4. Additionally, I will discount the vote of one random player who nominates you for lynching once per day phase.
  199.
  200. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  201.
  202.
  203. Presea - Commuter
  204.
  205. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Presea Combatir. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Commuter. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  206.
  207. Level 1 (start) – Empty Soul. Situation is dangerous but not yet approaching critical. Proceed with caution; refrain from using any special actions or abilities at this time.
  208.
  209. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Fragile Shield. It's been a long time since you've had any "friends"; they said they would be willing to help you in times of danger, but are you really sure you know who you can trust...? Each night you may choose one player you wish to hide behind. Any night actions that target you will fail, but you will instead be targeted by any actions that target the player you are hiding behind. If you are targeted by the player you hide behind, their action will succeed as normal. If you hide behind any member of the main Mafia faction, you will die automatically.
  210.
  211. Level 3 (9+ posts) – Taciturn Girl. Rather than risk endangering these nice people who seem to care about you so, you're just going to have to attempt to protect yourself. Each night you may choose to defend yourself, and if you do so you will ward off lethal all night actions that target you, including healer clashes but not including unblockable kills. You cannot use this ability on two consecutive nights.
  212.
  213. Level 4 (20+ posts) – Earthly Protection. No more running, no more hiding, and no more using your former listless state as an excuse—you are going to stand strong in the midst of all this chaos, and just see if anyone is tough enough to take you down. You are immune to all lethal night actions that target you, including healer clashes and unblockable kills. You are still vulnerable to lynching and lethal daytime actions.
  214.
  215. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  216.
  217.
  218.
  219.
  220. Regal - Tracker
  221.
  222. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Regal Bryant. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Tracker. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  223.
  224. Level 1 (start) – Eternal Sinner. You swore that you would never harm another soul after... her, and you refuse to act unless it is absolutely unavoidable. You have no special actions or abilities.
  225.
  226. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Pratfall King. You still don't want to hurt anyone, but what harm could a little snooping around do if it's for the greater good? Just watch out those shackles don't make you lose your balance—you're bound to make a lot of noise if you fall. Each night you may choose one player to snoop on. I will PM you and tell you whether or not that player is home that night (i.e., if that player is "not home" then they are "out" performing a night action). There is a 50% chance that I will PM that player and tell them that you (username) were seen sneaking around their house last night.
  227.
  228. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Convict. Okay, so you're not so good at this sneaking around in shackles thing. You made a few buddies in prison who are, though, and they're willing to do your spying for you. Each night you may choose one player to track. If that player performs a night action with a specific target, I will PM you and tell you which player(s) they used their action on; if their night action has no specific target or if they have no night action/do not perform a night action, you will be told that nothing happened.
  229.
  230. Level 4 (19+ posts) – El Presidente. No more of this lurking about and having liaisons with criminal types. You're ready to resume your role as a nobleman and president of an immensely powerful company, and you have all that company's resources at your disposal if you want some serious reconnaissance done. Your role is the same as Level 3. I will also PM you the names of any players who used night actions with a specific target against the player you are tracking.
  231.
  232. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  233.
  234.
  235.
  236. Kratos - Bodyguard
  237.
  238. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Kratos Aurion. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Bodyguard. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  239.
  240. Level 1 (start) – Traitor. You're still not convinced that anyone trusts you—not that you've made it easy for them—and so, for the time being, you simply stand to the side and wait. You have no special actions or abilities.
  241.
  242. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Mercenary. Perhaps you can make amends for your earlier transgressions by proving that you do have the others' bests interest at heart, even if that means putting yourself on the line. Each night you may choose one player to protect. If your target is targeted by a lethal action on that night, you die instead of your target (your target will die and you will survive if the kill is unblockable). You can not protect yourself.
  243.
  244. Level 3 (9+ posts) – Magic Swordsman. Your hesitation leaves you and your conviction returns as you reassure yourself that you're doing the right thing, and you feel justified in using magical force against any intruders. Your role is the same as Level 2, but there is only a 50% chance that you will die instead of the target, a 25% chance that you and your target will survive unharmed, and a 25% chance that you and your target will survive and you will be told the name of the attacking player. You still cannot affect unblockable kills.
  245.
  246. Level 4 (21+ posts) – Judgment. Failing to protect the innocent and punish their attackers is not an option. Anyone who tries to harm you or your target will be subject to the devastating judgment of the angels. Your role is the same as Level 3, but there is a 50% chance that you will die and kill the attacking player, and a 50% chance that you and your target will survive and you will be told the name of the attacking player. You still cannot affect unblockable kills.
  247.
  248. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  249.
  250.
  251.
  252. Yuan - Streetear
  253.
  254. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Yuan. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Streetear. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  255.
  256. Level 1 (start) – Patient Commander. You sit back and watch, waiting for the right time to send what's left of your Renegades out for a little recon; until then, you have no special actions or abilities.
  257.
  258. Level 2 (2+ posts) – Observer. Your Renegades are your eyes and ears around the world, and you've got them out looking for information; at this early stage, however, there's no telling whether they'll come back with anything intelligible or useful. Each night I will PM you with a randomly-selected piece of information about the state of the game. Said information will be truthful but will be vague or misleading. The information will never refer to specific players or roles.
  259.
  260. Level 3 (7+ posts) – Vigilant. The quality of information coming in is starting to increase, and now they're bringing in material you can actually work with. Your role is the same as Level 2, but the information will usually be more direct and may refer to specific players or roles.
  261.
  262. Level 4 (16+ posts) – Intelligencer. A source who knows rather a lot about the Vanguard has finally come forward; they're willing to humor any questions you might have, but you're getting pretty fed up with how damn cryptic they're being. Your role is the same as Level 3. Additionally, instead of hearing a completely random piece of information, each night you may choose to ask me about one of the specific topics: players, roles, actions or factions. I will narrow down my selection of random information to information about the chosen topic (note that there are some things I may tell you that are not included in those topics and so cannot be asked for directly). You may only ask about each topic twice before it becomes unavailable; if you exhaust all of the topics, you will still receive randomly-selected information afterward.
  263.
  264. Level 5 (42+ posts) – Dealbreaker. Your underlings report back to you with news of an incredible source, one that could reveal just about anything about the foes you are facing. You'd be a fool to turn down this sort of opportunity... Your role is the same as Level 4. Additionally, once per game you may ask me any question about the state of the game. There may be a few questions I will not answer; if you ask one, I will give you a chance to ask another.
  265.
  266. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  267.
  268.
  269. Botta - Voyeur
  270.
  271. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Botta. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Voyeur. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  272.
  273. Level 1 (start) – Renegade. You're still awaiting orders from your superiors, and until they come in you are not to use any special actions or abilities.
  274.
  275. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Stalker. On Yuan's orders you sneak around, on the hunt for any useful information. You and your men do tend to attract attention sometimes, though... Each night you may choose one player to snoop on. I will PM you and tell you whether or not that player had visitors that night (i.e. if that player "had visitors" then someone "visited" and used a night action with a specific target on them). There is a 50% chance that I will PM that player and tell them that you (username) were seen sneaking around their house last night.
  276.
  277. Level 3 (7+ posts) – Silent Watcher. The noisy underlings you worked with before have been dismissed, and you've decided that if you're going to get this recon done right then you'll just need to do it yourself. Each night you may choose one player to watch. I will PM you with a list of the actions with specific targets that targeted that player, but will not tell you which roles or players initiated those actions. If no one targets that player, you will be told that nothing happened.
  278.
  279. Level 4 (19+ posts) – Infiltrator. The great care and precision with which you've carried out your work is paying off—there is no secret that those you watch can hide from you. Your role is the same as Level 3. Additionally, twice per game you may choose to watch your target and see the name of the night action they perform, if they have one, in addition to seeing the list of actions that hit your target; you will not be told the name of the role that goes with your target's action. If they do not have or use a night action, you will be told that they did nothing.
  280.
  281. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  282.
  283.
  284.
  285. Dirk - Inventor
  286.
  287. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Dirk Irving. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Inventor. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  288.
  289. Level 1 (start) – Simple Craftsman. Dwarves like you are renowned as the greatest craftsmen in the world... but only when they live below ground. Your skills have dwindled since you've spent time on the surface raising a human boy, so you have no special actions or abilities.
  290.
  291. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Rusty Inventor. ...but when said human boy and his friends are in danger, you need to take a chance, blow the dust off some of your old projects and try to help the others out. It's been so long, though, that you can't guarantee that they'll work as expected or be safe to use... Each night you may choose one player to give one invention to. From the following night onward, that player will be able to use that invention (one-use) instead of a night action, if they have one. You do not know for certain what any of your inventions do, and you only have one of each. You cannot give an invention to yourself. Your inventions are: cracked shield ring, short-circuiting stun ring.
  292.
  293. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Inventor. You work quickly through the night in an effort to brush up your skills, and while they're still not what they once were, you're fairly confident that your latest repairs will be quite useful. (Fairly confident.) Your role is the same as Level 2, but you have several new inventions in addition to whatever is left from Level 2. Your new inventions are: dusty magnifier, smoke bomb, megaphone.
  294.
  295. Level 4 (20+ posts) – Dwarven Master. You've done the best you can repairing what you have, and you can feel confident in what you've been able to produce. All that's left is making sure that they fall into the right hands. Your role is the same as Level 3, but you have several new inventions in addition to whatever is left from Levels 2 and 3. You may give an invention to yourself instead of to another player. Your new inventions are: agility boots, thinking cap.
  296.
  297. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  298.
  299.
  300.
  301. GM invention notes:
  302. Cracked Shield Ring (use on self: 70% chance of protecting from lethal actions, 5% chance of killing user, 25% chance of no effect)
  303. Short-Circuiting Stun Ring (use on other: roleblocks both user and target)
  304. Dusty Magnifier (use on other: 75% chance of revealing targeted player's alignment, 25% chance of no effect)
  305. Smoke Bomb (trigger: if the player is killed, their attacker is silenced; does not work on healer clash)
  306. Megaphone (trigger: the player's vote that day counts twice)
  307. Agility Boots (use on self: on the following night, player can use their night action twice and on two separate targets, if need be)
  308. Thinking Cap (use on self: gives player credit for 5 contributory posts when used)
  309. Noishe - Friendly Neighbor
  310.
  311. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Noishe. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Friendly Neighbor. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  312.
  313. Level 1 (start) – Useless Not-Dog Thing. You are big, funny-looking, whiny and nobody really knows what the heck you are supposed to be, aside from scared of your own shadow. You have no special actions or abilities.
  314.
  315. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Creepy Not-Dog Thing. While too timid to do anything overtly useful, you do occasionally like to follow your nose and sniff around at night. Most of the time people take it as proof that you're just an innocent, curious animal; some people, on the other hand, are all too willing to break out the bear traps if they see a freak like you on their property. Each night you may choose one player to greet. There is a 50% chance that I will PM that player with a message that confirms you as an innocent, and a 50% chance that I will PM that player and tell them that you (username) were seen sneaking around their house last night with no further confirmation or explanation. You will not be told what the other player has been informed.
  316.
  317. Level 3 (10+ posts) – Friendly Not-Dog Thing. Funny-looking you may be, but in the end it's hard not to be won over by your puppy eyes and disarming, plaintive whine. Aww, poor dumb animal. Your role is the same as Level 2, but there is no chance that I will PM your target to tell them you were sneaking around and you will be confirmed as innocent with 100% certainty.
  318.
  319. Level 4 (19+ posts) – The Cutest Puppy. Oh my god who cares if you aren't really a dog because whatever the hell you are you are the cutest thing. You are so obviously innocent and sweet and harmless that it is physically painful to look at, and anyone who cannot see this is stupid and a meanie face. So cute. Once per game at any time (including during the day phase) you may PM me and tell me that you would like to announce your innocence. At the start of the next day phase (if you PM me at night) or as soon as possible during the day (if you PM me during the day) I will post an announcement confirming your role and your innocence; discussion will then continue as normal.
  320.
  321. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  322.
  323.
  324.
  325. Corrine - Mirror
  326.
  327. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Corrine. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Mirror. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  328.
  329. Level 1 (start) – Little Experiment. You are the Laboratory's only successful attempt at creating a Summon Spirit, small and simple as you are, and your true potential is as yet untested. You have no special actions or abilities.
  330.
  331. Level 2 (2+ posts) – Little Spirit. You don't have the same ability to bend mana to your will that the real Summon Spirits do, but sometimes odd, unpredictable things tend to happen around you. The last night action to target you (in the GM's action resolution order) will not affect you and will instead be redirected so that it hits any random player other than you and the player who used the action. Mafia kills will not be redirected to hit any mafiosi they can communicate with. Any actions before the last will affect you as normal.
  332.
  333. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Tiny Guardian. In an effort to keep your friends and those around you safe, you have learned to control—to an extent—the strange deflection that seems to surround you, and hopefully ruin anyone acting with the intent to harm. Your role is the same as Level 2, but the last action to target you will always rebound to hit the player who used the action, even if that would otherwise be an invalid target.
  334.
  335. Level 4 (19+ posts) – Spirit of Heart. You have transcended beyond existence as a simple experiment. Even through the darkness you can see into the hearts of others, and perhaps learn enough of their intent to use their abilities for the benefit of the innocent. At the end of each night phase I will PM you with a list of all actions that targeted you on the previous night; I will not tell you which players or roles initiated those actions. At the beginning of the next night phase, you may PM me and use any one of those actions on another player of your choice.
  336.
  337. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  338.
  339.
  340. Tenebrae - Distractor
  341.
  342. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Tenebrae. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Distractor. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  343.
  344. Level 1 (start) – Cute as a Button. All the monsters said you were the cutest baby Centurion ever. And... that's about it, really! You have no special actions or abilities, but you are sooooo cute.
  345.
  346. Level 2 (2+ posts) – Impish. Rather than leave your friends exposed to danger, you send out your trusty dark imps and tell them to try and draw some fire toward you instead. Those imps can be kind of unreliable, though—there's no telling what they might drag back home. Each night, you may choose to redirect one random night action so that it hits you instead of its original target. I will PM you with a list of all actions that targeted you that night, but you will not be told which roles or players initiated those actions.
  347.
  348. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Hey There, Big Boys... ;). Just to be absolutely certain that your distraction works as intended, you dismiss your imps and turn on a little shapeshifting charm. My, but you do make a very sexy lady when you've got a mind to. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you may PM me the name of the player whose night action you would like to redirect instead of leaving it up to chance.
  349.
  350. Level 4 (20+ posts) – Shadow Manipulator. Enough fooling around. You can bend the very shadows to your will, and so manipulate the actions of others however you like—and you don't always have to put your neck on the line. Your role is the same as Level 3. Additionally, twice per game you may choose one player and attempt to redirect their night action so that it targets any other player of your choice (except for themselves).
  351.
  352. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  353.
  354.
  355. Marta - Alien Deactivator
  356.
  357. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Marta Lualdi. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Alien Deactivator. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  358.
  359. Level 1 (start) – Mysterious Girl. There's still so much you don't understand about what's going on here, and for now you think it best to remain quiet while you consider the best course of action. You have no special actions or abilities.
  360.
  361. Level 2 (2+ posts) – Too Much?. You're going to find Emil and you're going to make him better, damn it. Being so forceful in your approach may be unwise given his unstable condition, however... Each night you may choose one player you wish to target. If that player is Emil and is currently active, they will be returned to their inactive state. If that player is Emil and is currently inactive, however, there is a 50% chance that they will be activated instead. I will PM you and inform you if you have successfully deactivated Emil.
  362.
  363. Level 3 (7+ posts) – Trusting Girl. Calm down and think carefully about what you're doing before you run around yelling like that. He's your friend, and you know he trusts you and will listen to reason if you can be level-headed about it. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you will not activate Emil if you target them while they are inactive.
  364.
  365. Level 4 (18+ posts) – Pact of the Heart. It seems that just the promise of friendship isn't enough to keep Emil calm for long, but... but maybe, if you proposed something a little... more... ^-^;; Each night you can submit the name of one player you wish to target. If that player is Emil and is currently active, they will have their alien role progression and win condition removed and replaced with the new role "Prince of Her Dreams", an Innocent-aligned role. From the following night onward you will be able to converse with that player in private.
  366.
  367. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  368.
  369.
  370.
  371. Wonder Chef - Pitcher
  372.
  373. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are the Wonder Chef. You are aligned with the Innocents and your role progression is Pitcher. You win when all members of the Mafia are dead or nothing can prevent the same. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  374.
  375. Level 1 (start) – Busy in the Wonder Kitchen. You have no time for any silly special actions or abilities—you're far too busy preparing the ultimate Wonder Meal! Mafia? What mafia? Not interested, must get back to wooooork
  376.
  377. Level 2 (3+ posts) – Advocate of Appetizers. With one mighty flick of your massive Wonder Fork, you send a daintily-wrapped doggie bag of tasty hors d'oeuvres hurtling throw the air toward some lucky recipient. They aren't much, but surely they will leave the diners drooling for more! Each night you may choose one player to throw an appetizer at. This does nothing noteworthy, but I will PM that player and inform them that they were hit. You have three appetizers to throw.
  378.
  379. Level 3 (9+ posts) – Maestro of the Main Course. And now for the main event—the main course! An entire hearty, home-cooked meal, all wrapped up in a single mouth-watering package ready for air delivery! All that rich food in one box is kind of really, really heavy, though... watch where you throw it! Your role is the same as Level 2, but you have three dinners in addition to your remaining appetizers and can throw a dinner instead of an appetizer. A single player that is hit with three dinners will die; doctors can block thrown dinners. I will PM that player and tell them they were hit with a dinner. If you choose, you can attach a message to the dinner by giving me the message over PM at the same time you submit your target. You may say whatever you like in this message as long as it doesn't break any game rules, and I will give that message to your target.
  380.
  381. Level 4 (19+ posts) – Defenestrator of Desserts. A true Wonder Meal is nothing without a magical dessert! You lovingly prepare to launch only the sweetest of your sweet treats toward some lucky souls; why, if only they knew who their mysterious benefactor was, they would surely be willing to open their hearts to you in gratitude! Your role is the same as Level 3, but you have three desserts in addition to your remaining dinners and appetizers and can throw a piece instead of a dinner or appetizer. A single player that is hit with three dessert will be allowed to converse with you over PM. I will PM that player and tell them they were hit with a dessert, and that they are allowed to converse with you if this is the third dessert. You may attach a message to thrown desserts in the same manner as the dinners.
  382.
  383. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  384.
  385.
  386.
  387. Mithos - Serial Killer
  388.
  389. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Mithos Yggdrasill. You are aligned with no one and your role progression is Serial Killer. You win if (and only if) you are the last living player in the game. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  390.
  391. Level 1 (start) – Lonely Boy. You've lost your sister, you have no real friends... you're all alone, and you have no special actions or abilities. How much longer you can stand for this is another matter entirely...
  392.
  393. Level 2 (4+ posts) – Small-Time Killer. It starts out with just a few—a few worthless idiots that no one will miss anyway. It's hard at first, considering that you originally set out to save the world, and your conscience is still prone to catching up with you when you fail. When you succeed, though... Each night you may choose one player you wish to kill. If you do not successfully kill your target, you cannot kill again on the following night.
  394.
  395. Level 3 (8+ posts) – Angel of Death. The more you destroy, the more confident you become that you are capable of eliminating all of the unworthy in a blaze of light. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you may kill every night regardless of whether or not your previous attempt was successful.
  396.
  397. Level 4 (17+ posts) – Seraphim. There are those who would try and oppose your coming reign, but your advanced magical ability makes you all but invulnerable and so able to continue your cleansing spree unharmed. Your role is the same as Level 3. Additionally, you cannot be killed by lethal night actions (except by healer clash).
  398.
  399. Level 5 (39+ posts) – God. The time has come for you to remake this wretched world in your image, and there is nothing that will protect these shortsighted, bigoted fools from your wrath. Your role is the same as Level 4. Additionally, your kills cannot be stopped by doctor protection, roleblocking or rolestopping.
  400.
  401. Sending in a valid night action before the night deadline is counted as one contributory post.
  402.
  403.
  404. Emil - Alien
  405.
  406. Good evening, <name>, and welcome to Tales of Symphonia Evolution Mafia! Starting tonight, you are Emil Castagnier. You are aligned with no one and your role progression is Alien. You win if (and only if) you are lynched while in your active state. The different stages of your progression, and the milestones you must reach to level up to each one, are as follows (milestones are in total number of posts):
  407.
  408. Level 1 (start) – Timid Boy. Your aunt and uncle are right—you are a pathetic, pointless weakling, too timid to stop the encroaching darkness and too indecisive to stand up to anyone else. You have no special actions or abilities, except maybe cowering under the blankets and crying like a girl. You are very good at that.
  409.
  410. Level 2 (5+ posts) – Knight of Ratatosk. Okay, so now you're getting a little annoyed—perhaps even annoyed enough to lash out at those who anger you, provided there's enough conviction behind it. If not... well, you really don't like to think of what a false alarm will do to your nerves. The first time you are targeted by a lethal night action, not including healer clash, I will PM you and tell you that you are now activated; I will also PM you if you have been deactivated (you cannot be activated again at this level). If you are lynched while activated, you win the game. If, however, you are activated and are nominated at any point by anyone during a day phase and are not subsequently lynched as a result of that nomination, you will die on the following night.
  411.
  412. Level 3 (11+ posts) – Ratatosk Mode. No more Mr. Nice Guy. You're sick and tired of being pushed around, and these wishy-washy losers are going to taste the fury of an angry elder summon spirit. Your role is the same as Level 2, but you can be activated by healer clash, you can be reactivated if you are deactivated and you will not die if you are nominated but not lynched. If you are activated when you first reach this level, you remain in your active state.
  413.
  414. Level 4 (32+ posts) – Summon Spirit Ratatosk. Humanity has tested your patience for far too long. You are going to reveal your true form and end them, and no one can stop you—you're not even going to concern yourself overmuch with further attempts on your life, because you're just that powerful. Your role is the same as Level 3. Additionally, there is a 50% chance that any lethal night action directed at you will fail while you are activated. If you are activated when you first reach this level, you remain in your active state.
  415.
  416. Special – Prince of Her Dreams. ...okay, maybe there is one special someone who can stop you and talk you down from your towering godly rage. If you have been activated and you are targeted by Marta Lualdi when they have reached a certain level, your role progression is changed from alien to this. You will be aligned with the Innocents and win when all members of the Mafia are dead and nothing can prevent the same. I will tell you Marta's identity and from that night onward you will be able to converse with them in private.
