1. >You roll over and open your eyes
2. >It’s almost pitch black
3. >Only the moonlight pouring in from the windows gives light
4. >Where are you?
5. >You sit up slowly and rub your head
6. >The sound of pouring rain patters the rooftop above you
7. >It sounds like white noise
8. >Memories of the day’s past begin making their way into your mind
9. >You were… attacked
10. >In the library, when you were reading with Twilight
11. >That quiet mare… the friend of Twilight’s, the one you always catch staring at the market
12. >…Fluttershy? Was that her name?
13. >She burst in
14. >Brandishing that... knife
15. >Twilight teleported you just in time
16. >Oh Twilight…
17. >You hope she’s okay
18. >You stand up
19. >A bolt of lightning cracks outside, illuminating the area you’re in a little more
20. >Some kind of hallway
21. >An old, decrepit looking hallway
22. >You glance out the window
23. >You appear to be in the Everfree Forest
24. >Or, at least, some sort of structure in the forest
25. >An old, abandoned piece of architecture
26. >A castle, perhaps?
27. >Or an old mansion?
28. >You sigh, and place your arms on the windowsill
29. >The rain is really coming down
30. >The pegasi must have scheduled a storm for tonight
31. >You can’t remember that being part of the weather’s activity
32. >But no matter, it was none of your concern
33. >You lift your arms from the sill and try to adjust your eyes
34. >Shapes in the hallway soon start to become clear
35. >An old, p0ny-shaped suit of armor
36. >A wardrobe with ancient looking china inside
37. >Several drawers
38. >All covered in cobwebs
39. >The stone wall looks old and cracked
40. >This place surely hasn’t been inhabited for decades
41. >Centuries, maybe
42. >Why did Twilight send you here?
43. >You shrug it off
44. >No matter
45. >It’s best to try to find a way out
46. >You make your way down the hall, using the moonlight and your own adjusted eyes as a guide
47. >Occasionally, the boom of thunder will triumph over the white noise
48. >It signals the lightning to illuminate your path even more
49. >Shadows dance and mingle in front of you with each bolt
50. >Tricks of the light, surely
51. >But… what could be making these shapes?
52. >You round a corridor, spotting a large room blocked by heavy wooden doors
53. >You approach these doors, grip the handles firmly, and push…
54. >…and push
55. >But the door doesn’t seem to want to budge
56. >You strain, but eventually give
57. >Exhaling loudly as you do
58. Not even an inch…
59. >Clop
60. >Clop
61. >Clop
62. >Galloping hoofsteps echo from deeper into the corridor
63. >Your head bolts to the direction
64. >There are no windows in that direction, it’s too dark to see
65. >Oh no…
66. >Is someone in here with you?
67. >Clop
68. >Clop
69. >Clop
70. >You grab the doors again and push
71. >Still, no budge
72. Damn it!
73. >A soft giggle is heard from the other side of the door
74. Wha…?
75. >You push again
76. >It giggles louder
77. >The hoofsteps are galloping louder and closer
78. >You shoulder the door in an attempt to get it open
79. >No use
80. >They are right down the hall
81. >You spin toward the sound and brace yourself
82. >…
83. >Nothing…
84. >Only the rain echoes sound in these halls…
85. >You spin your head left and right
86. >Baffled
87. >But you swore…
88. >You glance to the door
89. And that giggling…
90. >You hesitate
91. >And grip the door once more
92. >A simple push from the forearm is all it takes to open these wooden gates
93. But…
94. >You poke your head in and glance around
95. >And back out into the hall
96. >Nothing
97. >A little unnerved, you enter the pitch black room, closing the door behind you
98. >…you can’t see a damn thing
99. >…wait
100. >You slap your pocket
101. >You feel a small bump
102. >Yes! It’s still there
103. >Good thing you’re a smoker
104. >You bring out your lighter from your pocket
105. >Flicking it a few times, the flame eventually perches itself atop your zippo
106. >It’s not much, but it’s something
107. >You hold it out in front of you, the flame barely illuminating much
108. >It’s enough to see a bed, and a dresser
109. >A closet
110. >Yes, this is a small room, it seems
111. >A guest bed, by the looks of it
112. >You approach the mattress and pat it with a hand
113. >Dust erupts from all corners of your palm
114. >You step back a bit
115. >Completely abandoned…
116. >You look around the room a bit more
117. >The laughter sticking in your head
118. >…it’s been a long day
119. >Nothing more
120. >You approach the dresser and start sliding out drawers
121. >Clothing
122. >Clothing
123. >Miscellaneous garbage
124. >…aha
125. >A old-time lantern clanks from the force of your opening
126. >You grab it, and take a peek inside
127. >Oil appears to be set inside nicely
128. >Perfect
129. >You dip your lighter inside, taunting the wick, until it illuminates itself
130. >The room brightens considerably
131. >You flick your lighter closed and store it back in your pocket
132. >Much better
133. >With this, you turn around and aim it at other parts of the room
134. >It’s… just a standard guest bed
135. >Nothing more…
136. >…
137. >Wait, what was…
138. >You spin around, pointing your lantern in all directions
139. >…that noise?
140. >The rain continues to patter the rooftops above you loudly
141. >Could you have misheard…?
142. >You know the noise well enough
143. >You’re around Twilight Sparkle quite a lot
144. >…charging magic
145. >It sounded like charging magic
146. >You observe the room a little more
147. >Nothing seems out of place
148. >…well, with a better source of light, you can easier find your way out
149. >You head towards the door
150. >Which is… already…
151. >…open
152. >A single part of the two wooden doors hangs completely open
153. >You approach it slowly
154. >You grip the handle
155. >It feels…
156. >…warm. And tingly
157. >You release your hand from it
158. >You look back into the room
159. >Black, empty
160. >…what kind of place is this?
161. >You exit the room and turn down the hallway
162. >Refusing to look back
163. >Your lantern bleeds yellow light into the stone hallways around you
164. >You pass many suits of p0ny armor
165. >You look over to each as you do
166. >The emptiness these suits possess
167. >The blank space where a body should be
168. >…how fitting for such an abandoned structure such as this
169. >It’s as if you’re wandering that very same empty space
170. >Journeying through an area not meant for you
171. >In a world not meant for you
172. >How utterly… lonely
173. >You focus your attention back in front of you
174. >Your footsteps making distinct echoing clacks down the still stone corridors
175. >The room starts to open up
176. >You marvel as the ceiling grows even higher, and the walls widen themselves
177. >It seems you’ve stepped into the main entrance area
178. >You look over a railing to your left
179. >Yes, you’re on the second floor
180. >The front doors are right there
181. >Perfect…
182. >You take a step
183. >Stop
184. >Glance back behind you
185. >…nothing
186. >You redirect your attention ahead once more
187. >The stairs are right there
188. >Alright…
189. >Planting a foot down on the first step, you--
190. >SLAM
191. What!?
192. >You stumble back in surprise, tripping over the first step back onto the second floor
193. >Your lantern clanks hard onto the ground, extinguishing itself
194. >The grand hall gets a hell of a lot darker
195. >Moonlight is once again your only source of light
196. >SLAM
197. >You pick yourself up and back yourself further into the hall
198. >Immersing yourself in darkness
199. >It’s coming from the front door
200. >You stand a little higher, getting a view of the entranceway
201. >SLAM
202. >SL-CRACK!
203. >The door swings open
204. >A short figure walks slowly into the building
205. >Its steps clop each footfall, reverberating the distinct noise throughout the halls
206. >It drips water from the rain onto the floor
207. >It stretches out its wings
208. >A bold cracks just behind the door outside
209. >Light illuminates the hall
210. >A yellow figure with pink hair becomes visible for just a moment
211. >Immediately, you delve deeper into the darkness
212. >Oh no…
213. >Was that…?
214. >”Aaaaaaanooooooon~” it calls in a singsongy voice
215. >You can hear what sounds like a door locking…
216. >Then…
217. >Silence…
218. >…
219. >Clop
220. >…
221. >Clop
222. >…
223. >Clop
224. >”Anooon~, my love… where aaaaaare yooooou~?”
225. >Clop
226. >The hoofsteps start falling onto what sounds like the stairs
227. >Oh no…
228. >You duck your head down further and silently sneak deeper into the darkness
229. >You hit a wall
230. >You press your back into it and sit still
231. >Ever so still
232. >…
233. >Clop
234. >…
235. >Clop
236. >The faint silhouette of Fluttershy emerges from the top of the stairs
237. >She stands still
238. >You can make out her head
239. >She’s looking around
240. >”Aaaaaanon~, I know you’re here…”
241. >Her body pivots to the direction you originally came from
242. >She slowly begins to walk that way
243. >”Sweeeetie~, I’m coooooming~.”
244. >Clop
245. >”And when I find you…”
246. >Clop
247. >”You’re in for a reeeeeeeal treat~”
248. >Clop
249. >…
250. >The hoofsteps begin to trail off
251. >After a moment or two, you pick yourself up from the ground
252. >You slowly walk over to the hallway you came from, and the one Fluttershy went down
253. >It’s dark
254. >And no sound is coming from it
255. >You place your hand on your chest
256. >Your heart is beating so goddamn fast
257. >Breathe in
258. >…
259. >Breathe out
260. >Alright Anon, you can do this…
261. >You flick out your lighter once more and light your lantern
262. >You descend the stairs and grab the handle of the exit
263. >…
264. >It won’t budge…
265. >Of course…
266. >You turn around, observing the grand hall in all its glory
267. >So many hallways…
268. >So many passageways…
269. >Any one of them could contain a potential exit
270. >Or perhaps…
271. >…Fluttershy
272. >Or maybe even…
273. >…
274. >Get those thoughts out of your head, Anon
275. >This isn’t time to recall silly campfire ghost stories
276. >Let’s just… advance, and… be careful
277. >You step further into the hall
278. >You approach the stairs
279. >You look at all of your options on this floor
280. >And the many more upstairs
281. >…where to go?
282.
283.
End of Part 1, maybe?
