  1. Don't start out trying to be the Komrades. Don't think you need special perks or an armory or ranks, hell, don't even do ranks unless you have enough people in the clan to justify categorizing them. If it's you and a small handful of friends, then there's no need to rank them.
  2.
  3. Along with the above, don't do the whole "You need this many kills to get in the clan" thing. Kill counts are no accurate level of skill. The worst player can stay in a server for ages and get a hundred kills. And no one thinks your clan is important enough to put more time than they desire into the game to get kills.
  4.
  5. Don't strut around the forums acting like you're the saving grace of the game with your week-old clan. I can speak from experience that arguing with people on here and flaunting some form of self-perceived superiority doesn't end well for you or your affiliates. Just act polite and humble, and everything will be okay.
  6.
  7. You don't always need to make a clan. Some clans only wind up having 2 people in it, because no one wants to join a clan, they want to make their own. This isn't saying your idea for a clan is crap, but try looking to see if any other clans fit your needs first.
  8.
  9. Don't be a moron. This goes along with the second rule. If you're the leader of a clan, remember you're representing your entire clan. And no one wants to join the clan run by a pinhead who talks down to everyone. This also goes for any clan members. And this especially goes for talking to other clans. RoT has made a lot of enemies this way, trust me.
  10.
  11. On the same note, don't try to be everyone's friend. Not everyone is gonna like you, and that's just a fact of life. That doesn't mean to be a jerk to them, it means to avoid them and remain overall indifferent to them.
  12.
  13. One thing I must ask, almost beg, of you, is to know when to stop talking. Several disputes have happened on the forums and IRC and in-game due to people not knowing when to shut up or desiring to get their last word in. Just keep quiet and low-key, and you're good to go.
  14.
  15. Don't let any random chump off the streets tell you what to do. Not to go into specifics, but if I had a dollar for every person who told me to leave the forums/game/IRC/overall fandom, I could probably wipe my rear with Rockefeller's weekly salary. Sometimes you just need to not care and keep on trucking.
  16.
  17. And finally, try playing the actual game more. Start a tournament, do something, because at the moment, all the clans are is alliances in babby forum drama. Maybe take your hatred on CH or BiA or whoever out on the battlefield instead of posting insults on forum topics. If we all do this, the community just might have a well-needed increase of quality.
