I got an idea.

Before going to the bookshop to distinguish whether this time warp was of type A (where my self is present) or of type B (where it's not), I should confirm if, in the first place, our time travelling succeeded or not by asking these girls what I could not confirm earlier with my cellphone.

"Say, you girls. I'd like you to tell me something, is today Monday the 21st of August?"

It was a little sudden, but I plainly asked to no one in particular among them.

Then,

is what came back.

I didn't have to see to know that Shinobu grew slightly elated on top of my head ―― almost as if to say now, hurry up and apologize you damn brat.

But, however, on the other hand, I was intrigued by a part of the middle school girl's answer.

Not, was alright.

"……Then, what day of what month is it today?"

I asked.

Afraid and in fear.

Saying unexpectedly keen things, she

"It's May 13th."

answered so.

Without hesitation ―― like that.

There was a slight change in the aura of Shinobu who was acting proud on top of my head ―― though there was, it was really slight,

I'd say "Oh my, the date sure shifted by a lot. Well, not much of a blunder." would describe it.

Indeed, it wasn't a blunder.

There couldn't have been one.

Since we actually accomplished the historical exploit of travelling to the past, there was no blunder nor big difference to Shinobu between going back one day or going back three months.

Honestly, I too, had expected this since these girls showed up in front of me ―― if it had been during summer vacation, the sight of middle school girls in uniform leaving school in a group has to feel unusual, no matter what.
Then, perhaps we had returned to a time before summer vacation, I actually had a lead ―― I had rather good intuition, despite how things may appear.

However, there was one other premonition that that good intuition told me of.

There was an alert it rang.

And ―― with the 1seg broadcast I couldn't connect to and the cellphone that was out of range in mind ―― I asked, once more.

"What year is it now, in the Gregorian calendar?"

The middle school girl answered.

A year that was 11 years before now, otherwise before the future.
