Personality: Maya is a gentle and caring girl who at first sight might look very quiet and unfriendly. It's not that she doesn't like socialising its just more that people misunderstand her quietness for unfriendlyness. Despite this Maya won't back down in talking to them as she is very open and friendly not quickly judging someone. She's confident and competent in herself but she doesn't like boosting about herself. In any situation she'll focus the attention more on others than herself. She lets her actions speak rather than  her words. By actions she likes to help people and her friends always come to her knowing she has a solution or advise read for any situation. She will just quietly listen to their stories and won't try to put in a word and most off all she won't judge them. “Do your own thing, and let others do theirs. If they're not hurting anyone, what's the problem?” thats how her mind set is. You might even say sometimes she goes pretty far and becomes selfless in helping others and tends to neglet her own feelings. As she is very well in hiding her hurt feelings and will just hold up a poker face trough the pain. In the past people used to think she was ver apathic and socially estranged just because they didn't take the ineterest or time to talk to her. At first she was really bothered by it but as time passed and she met people who cared she started getting a idgaf attitude towards people who don't like her.  She's very situational aware and instead off focusing on her own feelings she focus on everyone and everyone thing happening right there obeserving the situation and thinking up a logic explanation or sollution quickly. Because off that she can also make very difficult dessisions with ease while others might have struggels with that. Even though she is very calm and relaxed she has this side to her (when she is around people whom she is comfortable with) where she can crack extremely dry and sassy jokes making people who dont know her suprised by it.  The only change her personality will have is in the morning when she didnt get her coffee then she will be very grumpy and you better stay away from her. When in love Raina won’t really change but becomes very straightfoward not embarssed of showing her feelings. She thinks its not practicullarly needed to change infront off someone you like because they need to learn the "real" you and not the  "fake" you. She's really carefull now in starting relationships due to the past betrayel off 2 people who were very dear to her and you could even say her guard is too high up sometimes.


Background: Maya was born to a British father and Indian Mother in Utrecht the Netherlands. Her Father and Mother met there when her Father came to the Netherlands as a representive off his componay in the UK. They soon fell in love trough out the process of workng together and her dad decided to stay in NL with her mother  and married her. Their first born was Maya's older brother Aarav and 2 years later Maya herself was born. Her mom worked part time company and even though their parents were quite busy there was never a lack off love. From when she was young Maya always had a interest in medical programs whilst her brother wanted to follow in the footsteps off his parents footstep by taking over their fathers company. When she was 12 Maya finally decided she wanted to become a peditrician because she had seen a documentar about it. At school both off the siblings had quite the easy life as they had their own group off good friends and their studies went well. When Maya enterd High School at the age off 12 (in the Netherlands we don't have middle school) she was really excited for the new expiriences. In this new group off friends she made there was this girl named Ivy whom she soon became best friends with. Similar taste in music, similar opinions, similar style and just similarity in everything, but they never got bored of each other. They told each other everything, even super gross stuff that they did. They shared the closest bond and were practicly unseperable until a half year later bad luck struck them like thunder. In their 4th year off High School (Maya by now was 15) a new boy came in to their class. His name was Robin, he also had similar music taste as them, somehow he blended in to their group of friend. They started hanging out with him all the time and as weeks passed the three off them became inseperable friends. If it had kept on like this there was no problem of course but it couldn't stay like this. In the process Robin started liking Maya and one way or another they end up together. They were quite the happy couple and it seemed like they had the full support off all their friends. Despite them dating they never made it feel akward for Ivy and always do their best in not making her feel lonely. All well ends well you would think but then it happened, Maya was suddenly being shut out or so she found out later. At first Robin still kept acting nice and all but the dates got more and more less whilst Ivy couldn't meet up either. Even during breaks the two would just mysteriously disappear. When Maya asked her other friends they would just talk over it or akwardly laugh and say the don't know but Maya being herself could easly read their eyes and saw guilt in it. At first she questioned why but then one day she decided following Ivy who happened to go to the roof at the same time Robin said he had something to do. Maya found out the biggest suprise off her life as Robin and Ivy were meeting up secretly at the roof. She carefully listened to them and she heard Robin say something that would break her heart "Maya didn't find out right?" and Ivy replied with "No she didn't". Maya walked away from the roof and went home that day, she didn't want to distrust her boyfriend and bff so she waited for them to tell her whatsup but as weeks passed Ivy became more and more akward around her while Robin seemed to be more sweet yet distant with meeting up. One day they were hanging out with the whole gang of frienda and Ivy and Robin started fooling around running after each other. Ivy suddenly tripped and fell on to Robin accidently kissing him. Thats when Maya broke everyone was laughing while Robin and Ivy quickly got up but then everyone saw Maya's face with tears streaming down and fell silent as Ivy and Robin noticed it too. Robin hurried to her and brushed it off as a accident but Maya swat him away and told him she knew everything about the secret meet ups, dates and messages between him and Ivy. Both her boyfriend and bestfriend looked shocked by that but both didn't deny it as they only had guilt on their faces. Robin appolegized and begged for a second chance while Ivy started crying but Maya just walked away from them and their lifes that day in her 5th year off High school. From that day on she estranged herself from that whole group off friends but didn't switch schools as she wanted to show them she was strong. Even though she was bleeding on the inside from the deep scar two off the most closest people gave to her she wouldn't show it. After that day both Ivy and Robin estranged from each other too finally realising the weight off their betrayel. After High School Maya decided to study in Seoul as her family friends worked in a Medical Uni there and offered her a schoolership. At first her parents were reluctant but with the support off her brother (who knew her pain) they let her go and she moved to Seoul without telling anyone from her past school wanting a new start. She's still in pain and can't easly forget what they did to her.
