  2. Narrator has connected.
  3. Avara has connected.
  4. Narrator: ...?
  5. Narrator: Were you guys just...mashing the "join server" button?
  6. Avara: just every couple minutes trying it
  7. Actinidia has connected.
  8. Grace Leonhardt has connected.
  9. Avara: nin-nin
  10. Avara: are we waiting on anyone?
  11. DNA: I wasn't; I just hit it once
  12. Actinidia: everyone is here, looks like
  13. Narrator: My laptop is being a slow butt. That's what we're really waiting on.
  14. Avara: laptop, stop being a butt.
  15. Narrator: Like, been waiting for it to open the log for 2 minutes.
  16. Narrator: This is what happens when someone turns my laptop off.
  17. Narrator: It acts like it has cancer.
  18. Narrator: Someone scream for me.
  19. Be my spiritual outlet for my frustrations and anger.
  20. DNA: EEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
  21. Narrator: _b
  22. Thanks DNA. I can always count on you.
  23. DNA: =b
  24. Narrator: Well, I'm sure as hell not ready yet.
  25. Stupid laptop.
  26. You guys can start roleplaying in the meantime. Get things rolling. Get into character. Maybe develop a personality or two.
  27. DNA: We just finished getting the supplies back from the house, right?
  28. Narrator: Considering I'm still waiting for the log to load, beats me. I THINK you guys were still in the residential district.
  29. Avara: we'd just finished gathering up the supplies after negotiating the argument between Arceus and i already forgot the doctor's hard-to-remember name, but she was a very territorial doctor that took the form of a reshiram.
  30. Avara: we gathered up all the things after a series of skill checks, and were going to head on our way back to the restaurant to see if the family could make it back to doc firedargon's territory to accept her invitation into her home for them
  31. DNA: Radagonda?
  32. DNA: SOMETHING like that
  33. Avara: that one
  34. Actinidia: Actinidia swayed her leaf-fan-tail. "...how are the rest of you getting used to your bodies?"
  35. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I can move just fine, but...it's still a nightmare I can't wake up from."
  36. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will hesitate before flexing her paws/hands, and looking back at the tail poking out from the psudo poncho. "... I suppose still getting used to it. It's really... weird to have some control, over something you never had before. That and losing digits is weird."
  37. Grace Leonhardt: ^
  38. Etna: "Getting used to it, but I keep almost-stumbling when I'm thinking about soemthing else while I walk. I have to move more of my body in sync to stay all on balance. Using my tail to balance my head is weirder than walking, though. And I feel... clumsy. Like. Too small and squished down."
  39. Etna: "Like I'm a living chibi art of what I'm supposed to be."
  40. Actinidia: Actinidia curled her tail backward until she touched the back of her head, "I'm much more flexible like this, that's hard to get used to. My human body was so rigid, there's a lot I didn't need to pay attention to because all my solid bones and joins kept everything in line."
  41. Actinidia: "I think I still have bones, but my arms and legs are very.... wibbly."
  42. Etna: "Your larger forms are going to be more serpentine, if I remember right. So it'll be more... snakey. I don't know a lot about snakes."
  43. Etna: "Very regal, though."
  44. Grace Leonhardt: "Maybe you're more snakelike than you thought? They are rather flexible after all, That and you are part plant?"
  45. Actinidia: "I look like I'm part plant. My sense of touch is... different than it used to be. It's like I'm wearing gloves, everything feels a little different than it used to."
  46. Narrator: If I remember right, we ended on you guys deciding weight distribution?
  47. Avara: we were doing that, yeah.
  48. Avara: etna has enough carrying capacity to haul everything basically. so does mars bars.
  49. Avara: logisticswise it'd probably be easier for etna to. because etna is the biggest.
  50. Avara: while mars is small.
  51. DNA: Mars bars over here SUCK; there's no caramel or anything
  52. DNA: they're full of chocolate powder
  53. DNA: which is weird, because I know that isn't usual
  54. Avara: ARES! WILL YOU YIELD YOUR SHARE OF THE SURVIVOR SUPPLIES TO THIS VOLCANIC ICE DINOSAUR?!
  55. DNA: I SHALL YIELD MY SHARE WILLINGLY
  56. Avara: GREAT. NOW I DON'T HAVE TO WAGE WAR ON THE GOD THEREOF TO MAKE THE CAMPAIGN PROGRESS.
  57. Avara: etna will carry the things.
  58. Avara: we were discussing whether or not to carry the dry-ice-chilled cooler of perishables. which, on top of dry ice, etna can keep it chilly with ice power. so let's just haul it too.
  59. Avara: any objections, team?
  60. DNA: No objections here!
  61. Grace Leonhardt: No objections, though I would like to point out we're bringing them back again.
  62. Actinidia: No problems
  63. Avara: no idea if they're heading back now or in a week. we can't just assume they'll be emotionally ready to travel when they weren't two hours ago.
  64. Avara: so better safe than sorry.
  65. Avara: so, no objections all around. we're hauling it.
  66. Avara: AUTOBOTS, ROLL OUT!
  67. * Etna is hauling the weight of the supplies with surprising ease, being careful to avoid the stumbling she'd mentioned previously.
  68. Grace Leonhardt: That's actually a fair counterpoint.
  69. Narrator: So, you guys are doing your 2 and a half hour trek back to the Rices?
  70. Avara: yup
  71. Actinidia: Yes
  72. Grace Leonhardt: Ye
  73. DNA: ready
  74. Actinidia: Actinidia stays in the center, keeping her ears open for any ominous noises, cries for help or other notable things along the way.
  75. * Etna will be towards the front of the group, but not necessarily in the lead this time, since she has the cargo.
  76. * Pierce Mars Oswell stays near the rear, to bring up the guard.
  77. Pierce Mars Oswell: Or in the front, I suppose whatever is most needful.
  78. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will try to bring up the rear then.
  79. Avara: brb
  80. Narrator: Setup your formation on the battle map.
  81. Narrator: 11
  82. DNA: we're walking from west to east?
  83. Narrator: East to west.
  84. Narrator: You were ambushed last time.
  85. Narrator: ...Not very well ambushed but still.
  86. DNA: Okay, set
  87. Actinidia: Moved in that case
  88. Narrator: Yup. Just setting up your encounter.
  89. Avara: back
  90. Avara: did the rain ever re-put-out that car fire?
  91. Narrator: Yep.
  92. Narrator: Nearly done.
  93. Yanma: Yanma loses 4 health.
  94. Yanma: Yanma loses 6 power.
  95. Tentacool: Tentacool loses 5 health.
  96. Tentacool: Tentacool loses 2 power.
  97. Horsea: Horsea loses 5 health.
  98. Horsea: Horsea loses 1 power.
  99. Tyrunt: Tyrunt loses 3 power.
  100. Tyrunt: Tyrunt loses 7 health.
  101. Avara: counterpart!
  102. DNA: I'm going to guess they're behind the car
  103. Narrator: In front your face?
  104. Avara: or invis
  105. Avara: oh, there they are
  106. Narrator: Ahhh
  107. DNA: They're either invisible or on the south side of the police car
  108. Avara: between us and the black car
  109. Avara: look directly west of us
  110. DNA: Oh, THERE they are
  111. Avara: only noticed them because of the items between them
  112. Avara: which were not invis
  113. DNA: Yeah, I saw the items, but none of the mon.
  114. Avara: money and a thing that looks super important
  115. July 23rd, Sunday.
  116. 82 degrees F and it feels nice.
  117. Wind speeds have increased to 10mph and the rain went from a constant drizzle to raining.
  118. DNA: I find the bag of stuff somewhat appealing...
  119. Actinidia, Etna, Grace and Pierce had recently underwent dramatic change and became Pokémon. Actinidia, the Grass-Type Snivy. Etna, the Ice and Rock-Type Amaura. Grace, the Fighting-Type Riolu. Pierce, the Steel and Rock-Type Aron. They have acquired a once Wolf-Spider companion by the name of Uraruren, currently a Bug and Poison-Type Spinarak.
  120. After encountering Arceus, the Canadian God of Pokémon, and Radegonda Amalda the doctor Pokémon of draconic fire, they've decided to haul a bunch of stuff to a Pokémon family with a real human boy in the hopes that they may make safe travels to her and be safe - heralding forth a future of a safe haven for similar families.
  121. Amidst their travels back to the Rice family, they encounter a suspicious group of diverse Pokémon, for the first time ever, sitting in the area of their last encounter...
  122. It is 01:05 PM.
  123. Tyrunt: "Gehehehehehehe..." Tyrunt chuckles to himself and nudges the gems beside him.
  124. Yanma: Yanma sighs, "Bro. I think that super huge elk thing was making a decent point."
  125. Tyrunt: "Tch. What does he know? He ain't Jesus."
  126. Actinidia: Actinidia realizes there is another group of pokemon. She also realizes that her barrier is down. Actinidia uses Barrier.
  127. Actinidia: 3+6+2+2=13
  128. Tentacool: "I'm pretty sure you mean God. And I'm also pretty sure he is."
  129. Actinidia: Actinidia loses 4 power.
  130. Actinidia: Actinidia has Resilience for 2 hours.
  131. Tyrunt: "Whatever that thing was, it wasn't God. It was a person just like us. And we lucked out, didn't we?"
  132. Horsea: "Yeah, we did. After you headbutt him. We're lucky all he did was throw us over the white house. You need to get your temper in check."
  133. * Etna has to stifle a chuckle at that.
  134. Tyrunt: "I have every right to be angry! Look at the world! And those filthy people who're still human! How is it they got to be the same?!"
  135. * Pierce Mars Oswell had a mixture of amusement and bewilderment, but the bewilderment was stronger. Thrown over the White House? How were they still alive?
  136. * Etna immediately stops laughing when Tyrunt says that.
  137. Yanma: "Nah, bro. You're right. You and the rest of us have every right to be angry. Shit just ain't fair, I get that. But just attacking and stealing ain't going to make things right. We gotta think this through."
  138. Actinidia: "They might be trouble." Actinidia said in a low voice. "It might be worth our time to go the long way around the block."
  139. Tyrunt: "I know that! That's why I got us all this swag! Lookatit!"
  140. Grace Leonhardt: "That doesn't sound too good..."
  141. * Etna mumbles back, "If we leave them they'll be around when we bring the Rices back through."
  142. Tentacool: "I admit we're at a loss without supplies...and when things first turned we just bailed out on the place just exploding with snakes..."
  143. * Pierce Mars Oswell continues whispering, "We'll just take the long way around twice if we have to. They may not be here when we return anyway."
  144. Horsea: "So, it's settled then? We attack and steal for supplies until we can get into a pattern of making out own, yeah? It's every man for himself out here after all. We were attacked a few times ourselves."
  145. * Etna speaks clearly to the group. "You may want to rethink that."
  146. * Pierce Mars Oswell thinks to himself "...Or not."
  147. Tyrunt: "Ain't that the truth. We need to live just like anybody else. And when shit gets real, it's either us." Tyrunt looks around, "Or them."
  148. Actinidia: Actinidia shrugged, "...we can take what they have, since they're doing the same."
  149. Grace Leonhardt: "Unless we do the long way back again when we get the rices, we might have to disuade this guys."
  150. Etna: "'Us or them'. Really. This from the guy trying to villainize children for not being affected by a tragedy?"
  151. Etna: "I understand that you need supplies to live. We all do. But turning it into kill or be killed isn't exactly a good way to survive. Besides, we're in a CITY and with all the deaths that've happened already, there's plenty to go around if you just go looking."
  152. Yanma: "A'ight, Ken. You take the supplies for the time being. Let's see what we can find around here. Seems to be a main stree---"
  153. Horsea: Horsea turns to see Etna and the group within haring distance, "Yo, we got live ones!"
  154. Tyrunt: "Dammit, how'd they sneak up on us?! Ken, weren't you lookout?"
  155. Tentacool: "I wasn't paying attention. You were kind of ranting..."
  156. * Etna is standing there, looking at them with disapproval.
  157. Yanma: "Well, look at what that bitch is carrying?! That looks like it'll hold us over for at least a week, bro!"
  158. Tyrunt: "And it's four on four...I like these odds."
  159. Etna: "I guess you're not going to answer what I said."
  160. Uraruren: Uraruren pauses and looks around, "...I count five."
  161. Horsea: "Who said that?!"
  162. Grace Leonhardt: "They probably ju- Yup there we go."
  163. Uraruren: "..."
  164. Tentacool: Tentacool hurriedly picks up the supplies.
  165. Actinidia: Actinidia will remember that...
  166. Horsea: "Alright men, group up and..."
  167. Etna: "Hn."
  168. Tyrunt: "Hit it until it dies!"
  169. Pierce Mars Oswell: (Five? Wait...five?)
  170. Avara: five on our side
  171. DNA: oh right, sorry
  172. Tyrunt: Point of order: Initiative equals 13
  173. Yanma: Point of order: Initiative equals 12
  174. Tentacool: Point of order: Initiative equals 9
  175. Horsea: Point of order: Initiative equals 11
  176. Pierce Mars Oswell: Point of order: Initiative equals 16
  177. Etna: Point of order: Initiative equals 7
  178. Uraruren: Point of order: Initiative equals 7
  179. Grace Leonhardt: Point of order: Initiative equals 10
  180. Actinidia: Point of order: Initiative equals 11
  181. Pierce Mars Oswell has received initiative.
  182. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...you guys aren't seri-...you are. Oh dear."
  183. * Pierce Mars Oswell moves forward, and then storms northwest 6 metres.
  184. Pierce Mars Oswell: 1+3+1+2=7
  185. Pierce Mars Oswell: vs DEF against both of them, unfortunately it didn't work.
  186. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell loses 6 power.
  187. DNA: That almost worked. Oh well. End turn.
  188. Horsea: Horsea rolls over to avoid the blow with a squeak.
  189. Yanma: Yanma freezes in place, recognizing that attack. Luckily, however, Mars missed.
  190. Yanma: "Bro...that...puny thing knows your signature!"
  191. Tyrunt: "Tch, flattery is so not that greatest compliment..."
  192. Pierce Mars Oswell: (Signature...?)
  193. Tyrunt: "Let's see how he likes it..."
  194. Tyrunt: Tyrunt loses 6 power.
  195. Tyrunt: Tyrunt rushes forward an additional 5 meters!
  196. Tyrunt: 6+2+5+3=16
  197. Tyrunt: vs. DEF
  198. DNA: Okay, I'm legitimately impressed.
  199. Tyrunt: Dex (Acro) vs. 13
  200. Pierce Mars Oswell: 6+6+1+5=18
  201. Tyrunt: (( LOL ))
  202. Avara: beautiful
  203. Tyrunt: Tyrunt's attack instead hits for 4 penetrating damage.
  204. Pierce Mars Oswell: reduce by 1
  205. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell loses 3 health.
  206. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...Are you trying to sneeze on me?"
  207. Tyrunt: Tyrunt chuckles to himself, "Quite agile for your small size, eh? No matter. I'll bite the metal right off you."
  208. Yanma: "Ken, gimme some feedback on what we're up against when you get the chance!"
  209. Yanma: Yanma goes up 4 meter(s).
  210. Yanma: Yanma focuses on Mars and charges up aura in his wings.
  211. Yanma: Yanma loses 6 power.
  212. Yanma: vs. SDEF
  213. Yanma: 4+1+2+5=12
  214. DNA: Now I'm just amused
  215. Yanma: Yanma unleashes a fury of sonic booms at Mars' location, dealing 15 penetrating damage.
  216. Tyrunt: "Hoo hooooo, that's my bro!"
  217. DNA: I...whoa.
  218. Yanma: Yanma pants a bit, "I can't do that again for a while..."
  219. DNA: Gnarly.
  220. DNA: Oh yeah, that's right
  221. Pierce Mars Oswell: If I read it correctly, type matchups reduce that by 6
  222. Yanma: (( You doubly resist that, iirc ))
  223. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell loses 9 power.
  224. Pierce Mars Oswell: wrong button
  225. Yanma: (( I was about to say. ))
  226. Unresolved value "Power".
  227. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell loses 1 power.
  228. Pierce Mars Oswell: okay it doesn't hardcap at 0
  229. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell loses 9 health.
  230. DNA: thankfully I remember how much PP I had beforehand
  231. Horsea: "Alright, let's see if I can do this again...!"
  232. Horsea: Horsea loses 8 power.
  233. Horsea: 5+5+1+4=15
  234. Horsea: Horsea performs this technique skillfully, reducing its cost by 1 and uses pussaint usage to increase his base power by 3 for this technique, making the target number of this technique 16.
  235. Horsea: Horsea inhales deeply and exhales a sickly green mist all around him.
  236. Horsea: Horsea is recovers 1 power.
  237. Horsea: Horsea unleashes a smokescreen.
  238. Actinidia has received initiative.
  239. Uraruren: Uraruren narrowly looks at the smokescreen and chitters angrily.
  240. Actinidia: "That changes things..."
  241. Actinidia: What is the effect of the smokescreen on trying to shoot into it?
  242. Uraruren: Uraruren climbs atop Etna and focuses her aura inwardly before spitting out at the thing that actually hurt Mars! vs. DEF
  243. DNA: I didn't know it was the spider's turn
  244. Uraruren: (( Oh, it isn't. ))
  245. Uraruren: (( HAHAHAHA, stupid me. ))
  246. Avara: uraruren's init is last in init. it's act's turn to act.
  247. Avara: *hugs kao*
  248. Narrator: Smokescreen:
  249. A sickly green mist radiates out along the ground from your feet. All enemies within 5 meters of you at the start of their turns must succeed a Vitality (Stamina) test vs. your Base Power or suffer a –2 penalty to Defense and Special Defense and a –2 penalty to all Attacks Rolls, Damage Rolls and Usage Checks. Targets must make this test each turn they begin in the smokescreen or upon entering the smokescreen. This technique lasts one round, but you can extend its duration another round by spending 2 PP as a free action at the start of your subsequent turns.
  250. Actinidia: Actinidia moves forward and uses E-Strike on Horsea!
  251. Actinidia: 4+5+6+2=17
  252. Actinidia: 5 Grass Damage, Special.
  253. Horsea: 6
  254. Horsea: Horsea loses 11 health.
  255. Actinidia: And complete
  256. Horsea: Horsea flinches from the strike, "Agh, that's smarts!"
  257. Grace Leonhardt has received initiative.
  258. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will approach the smokescreen, but decides against it considering smoke in the pokemon games rarely is anything fun. Standing just outside of the cloud, she'll try to whip an aura sphere at the cause of it.
  259. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt loses 3 power.
  260. Grace Leonhardt: 3+5+4+2=14
  261. Horsea: Horsea is struck - again!
  262. Grace Leonhardt: 7
  263. Horsea: Horsea loses 7 health.
  264. Horsea: "A-Agh! I'm hurt guys!"
  265. Tyrunt: "Oh no! They're doing our plan!"
  266. Tentacool: Cunning vs. TN11.
  267. Tentacool: 2+4+5+3=14
  268. Tentacool: "The silver one is an Aron. Rock and Steel Type. The green one is a Snivy. Grass Type. The one who just shot a ball of aura like Goku is a Riolu. Fighting Type. The big one carrying everything is an Amaura. Ice and Rock Type."
  269. Tyrunt: "...SHIT!"
  270. Tentacool: "Go headbutt the big one. It'll die if you do."
  271. Tentacool: "I'll move into position as per normal..."
  272. Tentacool: Tentacool slithers around to the southeast.
  273. Etna has received initiative.
  274. * Etna looks at Tyrunt. Considers her options. "Hm... The less people bothering Mars, the better off we'll be."
  275. * Etna attempts to shoot a Shard of Ice at Tyrunt!
  276. * Etna will be Aiming first, though.
  277. Etna: 3+3+3+2+1=92+1
  278. Avara: ... doesn't like that
  279. Tentacool: (( Just 3. :P ))
  280. Etna: (( shall i reroll then? ))
  281. Etna: 5+4+6+3=18
  282. Tentacool: (( Ye-awesome. ))
  283. Etna: Etna loses 2 power.
  284. Tyrunt: Tyrunt is struck by the Ice Sickle!
  285. Etna: 14 Ice damage and its init is set to 11.
  286. Avara: no save on the technique, according to the sheet.
  287. Tyrunt: (( Damn, nearly max damage. ))
  288. Tyrunt: 5
  289. Avara: and SE, iirc.
  290. Avara: DAMN~
  291. Tyrunt: Tyrunt loses 19 health.
  292. DNA: DANK
  293. Avara: that's turn end
  294. Grace Leonhardt: bodied
  295. Tyrunt: Tyrunt was knocked down in initiative, "Argh, my everything...!"
  296. Avara: and they thought tyrunt would be killing etna. ha.
  297. Uraruren: Uraruren climbs atop Etna and points to the Tyrunt, "Size matters not in this new age, fool! The small are wicked and powerful, capable of stealth and killing you in your sleep!"
  298. Uraruren: "Bow down before our majesty and fear what you cannot see!" Uraruren focuses her aura inwardly before spitting out a purple dagger toward the Tyrunt! vs. DEF
  299. Uraruren: 6+6+3+3=18
  300. Uraruren: (( ...WHELP. ))
  301. Grace Leonhardt: "... I am now worried by what they said."
  302. Avara: stunt!
  303. Avara: omae wa mo shindeiru
  304. Uraruren: Uraruren's poison dagger hits for 15 Poison Damage!
  305. Tyrunt: Tyrunt loses 15 health.
  306. Tyrunt: An injury has been acquired: Wrenched Limb, lowers Strength by 2!
  307. DNA: doesn't rock resist poison?
  308. DNA: ...let me consult my chart
  309. Tyrunt: (( I thought that was ground. ))
  310. Tyrunt: (( I'll wait. ))
  311. DNA: checked. They both do.
  312. Avara: correct
  313. Tyrunt: (( Ah, awesome. He'll reduce the damage by 1. And still die. ))
  314. Avara: heh.
  315. Avara: minimum resist.
  316. DNA: Had a feeling. The damage was just way too high.
  317. Avara: the dice do NOT want this to be etna's recurring villain, clearly.
  318. Tyrunt: (( o7 Thanks for the check tho, DNA. This'll come in handy int he future. ))
  319. DNA: I was very methodical with my sheet!
  320. Tyrunt: Tyrunt looks down as the dagger imales his shoulder and blood splurts out, "Ugh! I-I...I..." Tyrunt looks around, his eyes spinning as he falls over.
  321. * Pierce Mars Oswell gulps.
  322. Uraruren: "That's what you get, fool! We've had enough of thievery in this city! Where is your pride? Your sense of colony? Fools!"
  323. Pierce Mars Oswell has received initiative.
  324. Pierce Mars Oswell: 1+5+3+5=14
  325. Pierce Mars Oswell: vs 16
  326. Pierce Mars Oswell: -2 to a bunch of things
  327. * Etna feels a bit nauseous at the sight--they didn't NEED to kill this fight, and they hadn't last fight either. But the enemies were planning to kill them... it was more morality issues to ponder. But she had to shake it off, just like she'd been so far--still people trying to kill her friends in the area, after all.
  328. DNA: Okay, question: If I pull the blow against Yanma, and it faints, and it falls to the ground, does it die or is it just injured?
  329. DNA: This is important
  330. Actinidia: Another question, would Mars know the answer?
  331. DNA: YES, THAT IS ALSO FAIR
  332. Narrator: Just injured from a height of 4 meters.
  333. DNA: Thinking... ... ...
  334. * Pierce Mars Oswell thinks, quietly aloud. "The less people bothering Etna, the better off will be. And while that bug is threatening, if I hit it from up there it might fall to the ground and die. And I can't be doing that."
  335. Pierce Mars Oswell: Instead, he e-strikes the Horsea. (Double-checking the roll.)
  336. Pierce Mars Oswell: 3+1+2+0=6
  337. Pierce Mars Oswell: vs spdef
  338. Pierce Mars Oswell: Clearly in poor form, Mars decides to just retreat out of the smokescreen, hugging the north wall.
  339. Avara: horsea took all the dodge charms from the tyrunt.
  340. Narrator: (( Why was it 0? Not that you'd hit otherwise tho ))
  341. DNA: +2 -2
  342. Narrator: (( AH RIGHT ))
  343. Avara: 2 -2 from smoke
  344. DNA: (Turn end.)
  345. Horsea: Horsea dodges the blast and pants, "I'm freakin' alive, holy shit!"
  346. Yanma: "Tch, my bro's dead! Run while you can! I'll hold off these jerks!"
  347. Yanma: Yanma loses 5 power.
  348. Yanma: (( Can't do that actually. ))
  349. Yanma: Yanma is recovers 5 power.
  350. Yanma: Yanma moves southeast and throws a gust of aura at Actinidia! vs. SDEF
  351. Yanma: 3+1+2+5=11
  352. Yanma: Yanma fails spectacularly. And hits the car behind it.
  353. The Police siren and alarm goes off. Albeit staticy and choppy.
  354. Actinidia: "...that poor car."
  355. Horsea: "...Waahhh!" Horsea rolls to the west.
  356. Actinidia has received initiative.
  357. The smokescreen fades.
  358. Actinidia: Actinidia rushes forward, turnsa nd targets Tentacool with an E-Strike!
  359. Actinidia: 5+3+1+2=11
  360. Actinidia: Missing as well.
  361. Tentacool: Tentacool swats the beam away nonchalantly, "...You're at a disadvantage, Snivy."
  362. Grace Leonhardt has received initiative.
  363. Actinidia: "Riiight, poison. It has been a while since I played the games, alright?"
  364. Grace Leonhardt: Grace would decide to take another pot shot though this time at the bug, though she was once again trying to hold back from any big harm.
  365. Grace Leonhardt: 5+5+5+2=17
  366. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt loses 3 power.
  367. Actinidia: stunt!
  368. Yanma: Yanma is struck by the blast!
  369. And yah, you stunt.
  370. Grace Leonhardt: Knock prone then
  371. Yanma: (( You can do more than one stunt at a time - just not the same stunt more than once. Unless the stunt says otherwise. ))
  372. Grace Leonhardt: (Oooh.)
  373. Grace Leonhardt: Knock prone, and then dump the last three into the Aura armor then.
  374. Yanma: (( Excellent, roll damage! ))
  375. Grace Leonhardt: 10
  376. Avara: fighting type?
  377. Yanma: Yanma resists! 3
  378. Yanma: (( RNG favors you all today it seems. ))
  379. Yanma: Yanma loses 7 health.
  380. Yanma: Yanma is blown to the ground by the blow! 8
  381. Yanma: Yanma goes down 4 meter(s).
  382. Yanma: Yanma loses 8 health.
  383. DNA: Everyone except me.
  384. Avara: you get the RNG love a lot most days, so it sorta balances
  385. Yanma: Yanma hits the ground with a crunch and cracks the ground from the impact. Yanma pants and is conscious and looks angrily at Grace, "...Hahhh, hahhh, this - this isn't over yet!"
  386. Tentacool: "Hmph. That's a poor excuse. It's been a few days now."
  387. DNA: A fair point.
  388. Actinidia: "It's not an excuse, it's a stalling tactic. You're the one carrying everything valuable." Actinidia smugged.
  389. Avara: shouldn't have said that, probably.
  390. Avara: oh well.
  391. Tentacool: Tentacool spits a glob of acid at Actinidia! vs. SDEF
  392. Tentacool: 6+2+3+3=14
  393. Tentacool: Resistance (Faith) vs. 13
  394. Actinidia: he'd already moved, so it did it's job. ic at least
  395. Tentacool: Tentacool loses 2 power.
  396. Actinidia: 2+4+6+2=14
  397. Grace Leonhardt: "Look uh... I don't actually know your name. SO uh, Yanma, I don't actually wanna fight you, though kinda forcing us to."
  398. Tentacool: Tentacool's acid deals 2 penetrating Poison Damage.
  399. Actinidia: 1d6
  400. Actinidia: 5
  401. Actinidia: Actinidia loses 7 health.
  402. Etna has received initiative.
  403. Etna: "I guess we're going for their things now..." Etna walks forward. "Ura, any chance you can slow them down?"
  404. Avara: ... still can't see them. this car is the most in-the-way thing ever.
  405. Uraruren: "I can hit them. That's about it." Uraruren harumphs, "Mother didn't have a chance to teach me how to spin web or anything. I was just born!"
  406. Etna: "Then do that. Not the purple stuff."
  407. * Etna will E-Strike Rock the Yanma, pulling punch.
  408. Uraruren: "Green stuff instead? Can do."
  409. Etna: 4+6+5+2=17
  410. Yanma: Yanma is extra struck! For he is knocked prone and you gain a bonus to hit him in melee.
  411. Avara: should've been a 3, not a 2. typo.
  412. Yanma: Extra-Extra Struck
  413. Avara: 9 rock damage.
  414. Yanma: It's SUPER-EFFECTIVE! 7
  415. Avara: max damage before double-SE
  416. Yanma: Yanma loses 16 health.
  417. Yanma: An injury has been acquired: Damaged Eye, lowers Perception by 2!
  418. Avara: end turn.
  419. Yanma: Yanma was solidly knocked unconscious.
  420. Uraruren: Uraruren hops off of Etna and beside Actinidia.
  421. Uraruren: "Whatcha fighting?" Uraruren looks around, "...The hell is that?" Uraruren chitters, "...Looks like meat."
  422. Uraruren: Uraruren forms a ball of aura between her mandibles and flings it at the Tentacool! vs. DEF
  423. Uraruren: 3+5+4+1=13
  424. Uraruren: Uraruren's ball o fgreen aura splatters upon the face of the Tentacool for 9 damage!
  425. Tentacool: Tentacool resists for 5 less damage!
  426. Tentacool: Tentacool loses 4 health.
  427. Tentacool: Tentacool ripples from the blow, "...Ouch."
  428. Tentacool: "I do think you ruffled my membrane."
  429. Uraruren: "I'm a bug and even I know that's stupid!"
  430. Tentacool: "...I'm not going to get into a debate with a lowly bug."
  431. Pierce Mars Oswell has received initiative.
  432. DNA: Hmmmm....
  433. DNA: Moving forward, but passing.
  434. Horsea: "I'll never stal again....!"
  435. Horsea: Horsea escapes the combat.
  436. Actinidia has received initiative.
  437. Actinidia: Actinidia targets the Tentacool with another ball of aura.
  438. Actinidia: 3+3+1+2=9
  439. Actinidia: She misses, then moves.
  440. Tentacool: Tentacool watches as the Horsea flees combat and rubs his mouth with his tenticle...before swatting away another attack from Actinidia.
  441. Tentacool: "You guys seem like the persistent type. And I'll eventually be beaten down from it being five to one. So, you wouldn't be willing to accept my surrender, would you?"
  442. Grace Leonhardt has received initiative.
  443. Grace Leonhardt: Grace walks around the others, trying to find who's talking, and spots the tentacrule. Hearing his offer, she'll relax and look to the others. "I'd think that's fair, right guys?"
  444. * Etna tilts her head, thinking about it. She waits for Act's words, since Act showed interest in those items.
  445. Actinidia: "You were the one's attacking us. In territory we like to travel. While talking about how you planned to attack others." Actinidia folded her arms.
  446. Etna: "It's true, but I think with the loss of these two leader-types, the Tentacool and Horsea will be more willing to consider non-banditry-based means of living."
  447. Tentacool: "Yes. Indeed." Tentacool waited as Etna spoke, "I'm pretty sure he won't live to see the next day. If he does, I'm also certain we won't meet again. If he's smart, he'll hide until he's accept by another group."
  448. Tentacool: "Now, I'm not certain what it is you want me to say?" Tentacool shrugs, "Yes, we attacked people. We attacked you. Want me to lie about it?"
  449. Tentacool: "Oh, look my green leafy companion. We toootally didn't mean to savagely strike you and your friends. This is all a misunderstanding."
  450. Uraruren: "...This guys a prick. Are all men assholes?"
  451. Etna: "An apology would be fairly hollow by this point. And you could easily be lying if we make you swear not to do it again. But I think you'll agree--this won't end well for you if you try it again."
  452. Etna: "Act, offer surrender terms. You were the one interested in what they were carrying. But don't take any food or water."
  453. Tentacool: "I didn't think attacking God was a good idea either. Unfortunately I'm not the guy who makes the plans. Only the guy who informs the guy who makes the plans."
  454. Tentacool: "Usually after stupid plans are in motion because people are impatient and rash."
  455. Tentacool: "But, that guy's dead. And I'm alive. So, I consider myself luckier. Wait, you want my stuff? By all means. Take it. The spoils of war, as it were. I can't do anything to stop you."
  456. * Etna remains silent, waiting for Act to speak now.
  457. Uraruren: "...So, if we don't accept a surrender, I can eat him right?"
  458. Tentacool: "I'm quite sure my flesh won't be quite so tasty to you. I'm quite rubbery."
  459. Uraruren: "...Like a car tire?"
  460. Tentacool: "...Yeah, sure. We'll go with that."
  461. Actinidia: Actinidia shrugged. "Once we're attacked we might as well profit from it. I'm more interested in shutting down violence than participating in it. But here we are. I didn't expect an explanation from you, or an excuse. Just confirm that you had a reasonable understanding of what happened. Reasonable people have been rare the past few days."
  462. Grace Leonhardt: "No Ura, don't eat him. You've... uh... already done somone in..."
  463. Etna: "We're going to avoid eating people where possible, Ura. We have non-people-based food."
  464. * Etna grimaces at what Grace said. "And... yes. You already have someone for that."
  465. Uraruren: "Fiiine..."
  466. Actinidia: "Despite your sour attitude, I'd rather be allies with you than see you dead. You know things, that makes you helpful. But if you'd rather never see us again, I would understand." Actinidia paused, "We have enough supplies right now. But the gemstones you were carrying, I'd like them. You may keep everything else."
  467. * Etna nods approvingly.
  468. Tentacool: "Well, you've killed one of us, scared off another and beaten one into next week. Forgive me if I seem sour about it. That, and many other things, have been quite trying the last two days."
  469. Actinidia: "I hope we meet again on better terms in the future then. Forget the items. We have enough on our own. I'd like to see you survive."
  470. Tentacool: "But, the gems, right? Sure. I can part with those." Tentacool places the gems on the ground in front of him.
  471. Tentacool: "Wait, so I get to keep the gems? And I just get to walk free?" Tentacool looks around.
  472. Etna: "This time."
  473. Grace Leonhardt: "If it's any consolation, there's a place over in the suburbs that if you manage to get along with the pokemon there, you should be safe there."
  474. Tentacool: Tentacool looks in the direction you all came from, "...Certain death or beautiful paradise?"
  475. Actinidia: "I can't say I'd rather be friends, wish you well and take everything you own with any shred of honesty, can I?" Actinidia smirked, "It's been a strange day for me. You could say I haven't been myself lately."
  476. Etna: "Depends on how well you can get along with people."
  477. Tentacool: "Understatement of the day." Tentacool collects the gems.
  478. Etna: "We're not going to make promises on anyone else's behalf, but things are probably going to be more peaceful that way as long as you don't try to throw your weight around."
  479. Grace Leonhardt: "It's... generally down to how you interact with the good Doctor. Though uh... heads up. Don't try to look like you're going to steal from her. She lives over in the suburbs."
  480. Tentacool: "On the topic of getting along with people. Leave the Yanma here. Or tell him I went somewhere away from the suburbs. You just killed his brother. And he was never consistent on being nice or stealing. So, I say my attempts at friendship will go much smoother without him being there."
  481. Etna: "Considering he's probably going to be hell-bent on revenge, we weren't going to send him that way anyway."
  482. DNA: This had better not be Frank's brother
  483. DNA: or I will be very disappointed in you
  484. Avara: no, he's the tyrunt's brother
  485. DNA: a'ight
  486. Avara: the Revenge Seeker of Frankitude will probably happen later
  487. Avara: and be exceptionally more dramatic
  488. Avara: like frank.
  489. DNA: Okay, that's what I thought; just wanted to be sure
  490. Actinidia: "There's a legendary pokemon in the suburbs, where we came from. Frying anyone who doesn't know what that is who tried to loot her house. It's quiet over there, no one can beat her in a fight."
  491. Tentacool: "Appreciate it. And the not killing or taking my stuff part."
  492. Etna: "Good luck."
  493. Tentacool: "In which case, I think I'll be on my best behavior. I don't want to be someones dinner."
  494. Uraruren: "Bet you're tasty...'
  495. Tentacool: "If I'm lucky, I'll never find out."
  496. Avara: i think it's fair to say, we're letting him leave and ending init?
  497. * Pierce Mars Oswell glances askance at Ura...but says nothing.
  498. Actinidia: yes, and taking a breather
  499. Tentacool: "So I'll just, excuse myself. And avoid the Ducklett's and Pidove on my way there."
  500. Tentacool: Tentacool nods and starts moving east.
  501. Actinidia: "Rest a bit before you go. We may have only glanced you a few times, but every bit helps"
  502. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell, taking a five minute breather, is healed and gains 9 health and 5 power.
  503. Tentacool: Tentacool, taking a five minute breather, is healed and gains 4 health and 4 power.
  504. Actinidia: Actinidia, taking a five minute breather, is healed and gains 9 health and 5 power.
  505. Uraruren: Uraruren, taking a five minute breather, is healed and gains 8 health and 5 power.
  506. Etna: Etna, taking a five minute breather, is healed and gains 2 health and 2 power.
  507. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt, taking a five minute breather, is healed and gains 7 health and 5 power.
  508. Actinidia: "Do you want to put the Yanma into the tree? He can fly out when he recovers. If no one finds him."
  509. Etna: "..."
  510. Uraruren: "You guys are funny." Uraruren says stretching, "But I guess that's why mother sent me with you. To learn humility, patience and acceptance."
  511. * Etna is quiet, a pensive look on her face.
  512. Uraruren: Uraruren cackles, "Or to find the most effective ways to kill something!"
  513. Grace Leonhardt: "Ura, please! We're not out to acively kill..."
  514. Uraruren: "...I suppose jokes don't work on your species."
  515. Etna: "Hopefully the trip is proving educational for you. In both ways. Killing isn't always the best option--in fact, it rarely is. If we didn't kill the first guy, the rest would've gone more smoothly. But that is something else for you to learn."
  516. Uraruren: "Noted."
  517. Actinidia: "Humans are unpredictable. Especially in this crisis. Even we're unpredictable..." Actinidia grew quiet.
  518. * Etna shrugs. "Humans have rarely ever found death humorous."
  519. * Etna sighs, looking at the Yanma, then at the group. "I don't really like saying it, but we have to make a choice here. This one's got a personal grudge against our group now."
  520. Etna: "And we don't know how he's going to act on that grudge, once he wakes up."
  521. Etna: "Does anyone have any thoughts on how to handle this?"
  522. Actinidia: "... I... don't know."
  523. Grace Leonhardt: "I'd still say we should... I donno, put him into the tree for safety."
  524. Uraruren: "Give him the chance to turn over a new Snivy?"
  525. DNA: ayyyyyyyyyyy
  526. Actinidia: "...maybe. We can't assume he'll take revenge, and who knows if he can tell us appart. Or know us after we evolve. Or if he'll survive long enough."
  527. Actinidia: "I don't know. I don't want to hurt anyone out of pre-emptive self defense. I don't think I can do that yet..."
  528. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I agree with Grace. At this point there have already been too many deaths, and if we just fight to survive, then there'll be no one left for the future. If we kill him now, we're no better than his brother."
  529. * Etna nods, looking at the group. "Alright. Let's move him into the tree and get out of here."
  530. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, exactly. We may be pokemon now but that doesn't mean we have to be animals about things..."
  531. Etna: "Just make sure to keep an eye on the sky when we're travelling from now on."
  532. * Etna will put the bug in the tree, being the only person tall enough to really do it.
  533. Avara: the tentacool was carrying their fresh loot, but did the yanma or tyrunt have anything on them at all?
  534. Yanma: Yanma is placed in the tree by Etna.
  535. Actinidia: "Making safe territory might be something that falls to us..." Actinidia thought.
  536. Etna: "I was thinking the same thing."
  537. Yanma: Yanma is carrying:
  538. 1 Folgers Coffee, 1 Coca-Cola and 9 Rubi.
  539. Pierce Mars Oswell: "So like...establishing bases in safe havens as we go? How would we maintain them? Or make sure they're still safe?"
  540. Etna: "We can't be everywhere at once, though. So there's only so much we can make safe. Especially with such tall buildings and the sewers and... just a lot of places to hide and do wrong."
  541. Tyrunt: Tyrunt is carrying:
  542. 2 Vapor Water, 2 Corona Extra and 11 Rubi.
  543. Actinidia: "I don't know yet. Establishing bases, patrolling areas... who knows."
  544. Etna: "We'd have to get people to accept our authority too. Which probably means a mix of talking and fighting."
  545. * Etna will take the loot from both brothers.
  546. Actinidia: "...and showing mercy."
  547. Etna: "Yeah. To those who'll accept it, mercy."
  548. Etna: "This is something we all have to agree with though. We're talking about, basically, conquering territory. Somehow. We don't have a plan for it yet, but we'll have to come up with one."
  549. Etna: "One that won't be taken as tyranny or banditry or anything of that sort by others. Especially folks like the doctor."
  550. Grace Leonhardt: "Well to be fair, if we try to set up somehing near in the suburbs, having the good Doctor help out would be amazing. That and there's already plenty of housing over there anyway."
  551. Actinidia: "Lets keep going, it is something we can talk about when we have time to rest."
  552. Etna: "The doctor might or might not appreciate us and our peacekeeping / conquering / whatever people call it."
  553. * Etna nods to Act. "The walk will give everyone time to think about it."
  554. Etna: "..." Etna falls quiet again, thinking about how to make this work.
  555. Pierce Mars Oswell: "That might explain what that guy from Canada was talking about. I think he was trying to do that very thing."
  556. Etna: "He was trying to make a hero version of doctors without borders."
  557. Etna: "Legendaries that roam rather than settling in one area, trying to shepherd humans and keep things relatively safe."
  558. Grace Leonhardt: "I think... well really hope that they would appreciate the company, and at the moment, seting up a safe spot."
  559. Pierce Mars Oswell: "He was? Maybe I misheard what he said. I thought he was specifically trying to get the legendaries to stay in their respective spots..."
  560. Etna: "The opposite, Mars."
  561. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oops."
  562. Etna: "Anyway. We can talk with the doctor about it once we get the Rice family over there."
  563. Etna: "If she's against it, we can set up elsewhere. But she might like not having to be the one dealing with everything just because she's got power."
  564. * Etna will resume the walk to the restaurant.
  565. Narrator: o7
  566. You guys can take as much time chatting before you reach your location. No more encounters between here and there.
  567. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will walk after, trying to think of what to do.
  568. Narrator: If you're ready to arrive, just say so and we'll move on. :D
  569. Avara: attempting to arrive.
  570. DNA: Red Leader, we are clear to land?
  571. Narrator: Alright then.
  572. It is 02:05 PM.
  573. Narrator: You arrive at the Starbucks-Chipotle combination restaurant and find something new outside of the building.
  574. Narrator: The ground has been recently upheaveled and then packed back in. Pipes woven together in the shape of a cross is placed at the head of the packed concrete.
  575. Narrator: The pattern is recognizable and there are two crosses .
  576. DNA: it's either the Red Cross, or a chapel
  577. DNA: my money's on the Red Cross because you said there are 2 of them
  578. Avara: do we need to roll to recognize it?
  579. Grace Leonhardt: "What the heck...?"
  580. Narrator: If my description is being shit, uh, sure.
  581. Narrator: Which it totally sounds like.
  582. Avara: it's probably less your description and more i don't know a lot of anything
  583. DNA: That, and there are several different kinds of crosses
  584. Etna: 5+5+1+2=13
  585. DNA: usually characterized by the length of the bottom 'leg'
  586. Avara: cross also describes both X and t shapes
  587. Etna: "... Graves."
  588. * Etna walks around the graves to the door, and knocks gently.
  589. Narrator: Actually, I'll just repeat what I said to Ava here.
  590. The packed concrete looks like that of the packed dirt of a typical gravesite. The pipes are in the shape of a christian cross and placed at the graves head like a makeshift gravestone.
  591. Narrator: Clears a lot of my stupidity.
  592. Grace Leonhardt: "O-Oh... for... who?"
  593. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh no... Oh no!!" Pierce runs inside - or at least attempts to, pushing open the door if necessary.
  594. Etna: "We'll have to ask."
  595. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Reginald! Redonda! Are you here!?" His voice is clearly panicked.
  596. * Etna is trying to keep a flat tone, and not doing a great job at hiding her worry, but--she's trying.
  597. Actinidia: ((Sorry, some IRL started happening))
  598. Avara: is everything okay, Rob?
  599. Narrator: The door opens without much effort from Mars and once inside he's immediately greeted by three huddled figures.
  600. Narrator: The three huddled figures are a Tauros, a Combee and a human boy.
  601. Actinidia: (( basically okay, had to make plans for tomorrow right now for reasons ))
  602. Redonda: Redonda stands up defensively as the door opens and growls menacingly.
  603. Redonda: Redonda's face softens once she see's and recognizes Mars and her (his?) bottom lip quivers before she sits back down.
  604. DNA: Mars is male
  605. Actinidia: "Hello."
  606. DNA: oh, you meant you
  607. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Redonda! What happened...oh, no, that's not... They're not..."
  608. Etna: "... Want to tell us what happened?" Etna asks, compassion in her voice.
  609. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...why..." he slumped down. "What happened?"
  610. Narrator: Circled around the three are four bodies. All snake-like. Two Dratini and two Ekans lie dead in a circle around them.
  611. Etna: "You don't have to talk if you don't want to. But it might help."
  612. Redonda: Redonda shudders before looking up at them, "A bunch of snakes came to us..." Redonda looks around them, "Literally, snakes."
  613. Actinidia: "The group we met earlier mentioned something about snakes..."
  614. Redonda: "They wanted our daughter, Belle, to go with them thinking that she would evolve into a snake."
  615. Redonda: "We told them no and to leave us in peace. But they demanded she'd come or they'd kill her to 'lessen the threat of strength'."
  616. Redonda: "That's when one of them with sabretooth like fangs smelled Austin."
