As I have mentioned on Skype in the past week, RvB will be looking at grabbing a number of HS POCOs, and while we would relish some shooty fun with Goons, Del Delvechio & I are of the opinion that an approach to you guys with a heads up of the locations we are either firmly set on or roughly interested in would be the best thing to do to lessen the chance of initial conflict between our groups, while allowing for some good old tinfoil from the bears when we dont fight. (I never want RvB to be seen as the "protectors of highsec"). Also means we can both focus on blapping the random groups that will attempt to do the same thing, without concern about each other.

Long story short is that we are looking at solidily pocoing all of Liekuri & Otela - our HQ systems; Parts of Josameto & Poinen as a way to add some short terms goals to the Forever War (and admittedly annoy the bears using those planets!), as well as some of the planets in the systems surrounding Jita. (Still working on a more precise list as this is all an aside to our prosecution of the Forever War) With potential interest in 1 or 2 further constellations in The Forge that have a combination of ice + specific planet types.

  9. Obviously we are primarily looking at POCOs as a conflict driver, rather than a means to control certain aspects of PI financially/lock bears out/insert tinfoil covered theory here, so if it comes to it and we do end up in each others way, we'll see you out there on the battlefield.

While I dont expect Goons (and I have not approached anyone else as no one else I am aware of - or indeed care about - has stated any intention with regards to HS POCOs) to divulge any secret plans on this subject, maybe an agreement of some description can be worked on with regards to The Forge and the potential pocoing of it.

  37. [7:18:23 PM] mynnna: so gsf interest in highsec pocos is financial, as you'd imagine. "Burn everything to the ground to fuck with people" is a secondary concern as well, either to drive them to use ours or simply punish the galaxy if we can't have any.
  38. [7:19:47 PM] mynnna: in light of that our primary interests are pocos in immediate proximity to jita - sobaseki, perimeter and probably muvo-whateverthenameis, barren planets especially.
  39. [7:20:36 PM] Jon / Mangala: yeah weve looked at similar systems, but not the type of worlds - lots of varying views amongst the people who are doing the sums.have pi experience here.

  41. [7:21:12 PM] mynnna: Our feeling is that because of depletion rates being so awful in empire, factory planets are the primary mode of operation

  43. [7:21:35 PM] mynnna: plus sobaseki in particular has six of them, so it's a perfect fit for a maxed out PI character.
  44. [7:23:03 PM] Jon / Mangala: one of guys suggsted it, but he also suggested another constellation, that imo is just out of the way enough to avoid your interest and close enough to jita that I can direct the angry GRR Goons types to use it ;)

  47. [7:24:48 PM] mynnna: the other mutually beneficial angle I see here is that you guys could come in as allies on any wars declared on us for those pocos if you wanted, and they'd be additional conflict drivers.

  52. [7:26:39 PM] mynnna: so the hope was that we'd be able to get together a group of people who were for general defense and when the situation really warranted it, we'd just call an op and trot out a few hundred people in drone assist ships.

Niya and maurasi, we'd grab the barrens, you guys would take the others. Your constellation we'll just stay the hell out of entirely, and anything else we'll avoid if it's claimed by the other, and play by ear if it's claimed by a third party?
