  1. Dear Prof. Davis,
  2.
  3. I am close to finishing my PhD in theoretical physics at the Autonomous University of Madrid in Spain. I have always had a strong interest in biology and computer science. A few years ago a close friend was diagnosed with CFS, and have been reading about this strange disorder ever since.

  5. After my thesis defense this fall, I will have to choose where to direct my energies and I thought, given my profile (see attached CV) and current interests, that bioinformatics would be a good option. I have recently came across the webpage of Stanford's CFS research center and had a look at your research plan. It seems to me that a lot of data would be generated as a product of this research and it would need to be analyzed and interpreted. Ideally, I would like to be a part of this process. So my question is, are there any options available for working at the cfs center? Or if not, could I contribute in some other way?
  6.
  7. Thanks,
  8. Andrei
