The Discipline With Dignity video set provides an overview of effective discipline methods, techniques, and strategies developed by Drs. Curwin and Mendler. These methods work because they teach the student responsibility and preserve the dignity of both teachers and students. The videos include classroom dramatizations, teacher comments, and extensive interviews with Drs. Curwin and Mendler. The videos can be used in teacher workshops, in-service meetings, or by individuals. Section I of the Facilitator s Guide and Part I of the video series introduce the Discipline With Dignity approach. The other Guide sections detail plans for preparing, leading, and following up a series of sessions, each built around one of the three video programs. Participants are introduced to techniques and strategies and given opportunities to discuss and practice them. These sessions are appropriate for full-day events or regularly scheduled in-service days. The workshop can also be broken up into several shorter sessions
