  1. Spoilers lurk within! Actually, this is kind of silly, because you would only read this if you've seen it already (in which case you don't need my opinion on it), or if you don't plan to watch it because you don't care (in which case you don't care about my opinion on it). I do feel the need to get this off my chest, though. I'll try to avoid unnecessary spoilers still, but it's a moot cause.

  3. So yeah. The ending. And the events lead up to it. It all starts with Yuki's parents getting noscoped and Yuki, thinking that being God will allow you to bring back the dead, starts playing the survival game a bit more proactively. His character gets completely derailed, and he ends up sociopathically killing random people and even his friends. Afterwards, he finds out that apparently you can't resurrect dead people even if you're god. Why? That's kind of stupid. They had an opportunity to be all like "Well I reject your reality and rewrite the rules" like Madoka did and go for a bittersweet ending, but this happens instead. It feels more arbitrary than anything else. Then the show stops making sense entirely, and it turns out the universe is actually in a time paradox, or some shit, and then they travel through the fabric of the universe to duke it out even with characters that were thought to be dead (Yuki's parents don't get the same luxury) or something. I don't remember, and even when I was watching it, I still had no idea what the fucking shit was going on.

  5. And then Yuno an heros and Yuki becomes god, and just sits there for 10000 years being sad. Now, I can very much understand the feeling that you've just lost the one you love, and how you would be a bit upset about it. But there's still quite a few plot holes here. For starters, 10000 is a long time. After a while, you would realise: Why not create yourself a clone of Yuno? It might not be quite the same, but you might as well. Better than sitting there being forever alone. Or can you arbitrarily not do that either? And since Yuno from the first universe proves you can go back in time and do things once you're god, why not go back and get Deus to pick someone else to be god while Yuki and Yuno just live happily ever after? Why didnt' Yuno do that, for that matter? It sounds a bit more productive than killing the Yuno from the second universe. Not to mention that whole "This world isn't big enough for two Yunos" thing is bullshit. Sure, it might have legal ramifications at first for the two Yunos to coexist, but why not get that sorted out and just hang out with your own clone? You make it sound as though Yuki wouldn't be up for some threesomes. Dude, if I had a girlfriend, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mind her having a clone from the future. There are all sorts of reasons why that would be cool, and they just threw all that out to make things arbitrarily depressing.

  7. Look, writer whose name I can't remember, you're a great writer and a great person, but you're not Hideki Anno. And even if you were, that wouldn't be a good thing. There's nothing inherently wrong with ending a series in a positive and understandable fashion.

  9. So yeah. Ending was bullshit. It's another way in which this is a lot like Death Note on steroids.
