  1. Agent Boyd had seen a lot of strange, terrible things in his tim at the Foundation. Floating squids that would eat fingers, stuff that would liquidize you before you could even think, and creatures that could wipe your mind completely. But he wasn't thinking about those times now. Rather, he was focused on the pudgy seaman standing before him on the dock.
  2.
  3. "I told'ya, we're not gonna make a deal like that. Two hundred thousand or nuthin'."
  4.
  5. Boyd rubbed his temples. "Look… we can't do that. We still have to pay for the crew, repairs, and fuel. Breaking the bank with the base purchase wont work. Best I can do is a hundred fifty."
  6.
  7. The captain snorted. "A hundr'n fifty? Do I look like a fool? This ship is worth at least tw'hundred thousand, and that ain'even countin' the crew yer gettin'. Two hundred fifty."
  8.
  9. "Can you do a hundred seventy-five?"
  10.
  11. The captain spat on the ground. "No. But y'know what I can do?"
  12.
  13. The captains boots scraped on the wooden dock planks, and he began to slowly make his way to the vessel.
  14.
  15. "Wait!" Boyd sighed. "Alright. You win. Two hundred fifty thousand."
  16.
  17. The captain grinned. "I knew y'would come around eventually."
  18.
  19. Agent Boyd would be reprimanded for his excessive expense in acquiring SCPS //Ketos Megas//, and assigned to work with SCP-169. The captain was able to enjoy his retirement for approximately one month and eleven days, after which he was kidnapped from his new house by men in black.
