  1. Site: You can see peaking from beneath the sands a set of stone ruins. To one side there are some canvas tents. Further into the site, you can see some stone steps that lead down. The bodies of two dwarven men at the top, their necks slashed, among some other obviously defensive wounds. They seem to have been killed recently- within the last few hours (medicine check 17).
  2.
  3. The nearby crates are packed full of straw around various artifacts like pottery shards and statues.
  4.
  5. In the center of the site is an archeological dig, which has uncovered what seem to be seven large smashed pots, their contents have long since mixed with the surrounding sand and dirt, though with a keen enough eye the party can spot an amulet inlaid with turquoise inside one of the pots. When worn, the mummies inside the tomb will ignore the wearer, treating them as a familiar ally.
  6.
  7. Temple: Beneath the sands lies a massive temple complex. as the party comes down the stairs, they can see that some torches have been lit. As they step a bit further inside, they can hear voices echoing through the complex, speaking in common, seemingly arguing about the correct way forward, shortly after there is a cry of pain that cuts one of the voices short.
  8.
  9. Straight ahead is a door inlaid with glowing green/blue glyphs.
  10.
  11. In the temple's main chamber is a massive tomb surrounded by four smaller ones. The large tomb is bound with seven chains, which the party will find the bandits breaking open. Upon the last chain being broken, the tomb will open, freeing a mummy clad in gold who takes a deep breath before reaching out to the nearest bandit, instantly draining his life force away- very obviously restoring it to the mummy. With a wave of his hand, the mummy seems to command the loose sand and dirt in the chamber into a flowing cloak about his shoulders. He will then go about destroying the four tombs around his, before leaving through the now-open main door. The temple begins to crumble around the party.
  12.
  13. Karamentonen, High Priest of Castor.
  14.
  15. He will immediately begin fleeing west, seeking to remove the remaining seals on his power. The first signs of this are a plague of insects beneath the sands of the desert. Next, the days within the desert will seem to last longer and longer. Then violent sandstorms will appear. giant black scorpions will begin destroying outposts and towns on his way to mon arashi, along the way raiding the various tombs and other sites of importance to break the seals, the final seal being broken atop mon arashi
