#OpDefiance: Next stage

Greetings, citizens of the world!

We are Anomymous.

We are tired of the tyranny of Russian government and of the lies of Russian national TV channels, so we declare war on them. Television will never show the Russian government's true face. We are constantly being told of our flourishing economy, of the valor of our anti-riot police squads and of government officials who would do anything for the benefit of the people. All of those news reports lie. To see that you must understand and connect to each other many seemingly minor events, facts and bits of news. All of you know of our government's corruption, of its dismissive attitude towards the law and of its officials stealing from the state budget. This government imposes unspoken rules on its people, rules which divide Russian society into masters and their slaves.

We understand that we won't be able to change our world instantly. We know that just by attacking government websites we won't overthrow the government and won't make those who came to power under false pretences go away. But from now on, we will stand up for the citizens of this country.

On 13th of May 2012, at 07:00 GMT, we, Russian citizens who can no longer take this outrage, will continue Operation Defiance by blocking government.ru, kremlin.ru, mvd.ru and 1tv.ru. We demand a fair and just trial for those members of anti-riot squads who overstepped their powers, the resignation of the greatest crook and thief and for the main national TV channel to stop trying to brainwash us. We've had enough. We have put up with the current government and its atrocities for too long.

We will not stop at this attack. Any records of similar transgressions will be documented and brought before the people and anyone guilty of them will be punished severely. We ask all concerned citizens of our country and also any citizens of other countries to join us in this. This isn't an attack with a malicious intent, this is an act of civil confrontation aimed at our government's disregard of the law and its laughter in the faces of Russian Constitution and the civil rights of the Russian people.
