reporter, Mr Tlas can you please tell us how you defected from the armey?
and what was your reason?
Tlass, in the name of god
i was serving in the fifth division
in daraa suberb
where the rev started
 it all began when little boys from a place called Enkhel wrote slogans on the wall asking for freedom
so the regime promptly arrived on the seen
under the order of Atef Najeeb the head of political police in daraa
they arrested all of the children
this is when it all kicked of
 the people of daraa raged
asking for the children to be relesed
but no one was listening
they want the people responsible to be trilled and taking to court
but nothing was happening
 from that week the place of enkhel was very angry
i loved that place i loved the people they were remarkable
enkhel is on the edge of daraa part of horan province
at first they were only asking for some answeres
but within a week people were getting very angry they soon change their tune
they started demanding the departure of assad as he is not fit to run the country
the foloowing day assad ordered a pay rise
and organized a pro gov demo's to scare people
people were involved in these demos are the one benifiting from the regime
by the way not surprising the regime wll known of their bloody history over the years
 they are well known of their conniving ways
 they have history of mass killing
people in the regon were expecting the worse
we all went to enkhel for juma prayer in al umary mosque
after the prayer we went out and the people started a demo
 i was keeping things quite about how i felt at the time
but watching from the side
 i use to be so happy when the chanting DAMN YOUR SOUL HAFEZ
all my feeling was with the people, but it wasnt the right time to defect
we all marched towards daraa to ease the presure on them
the strongest protests at the time was in Daraa and Banias
i was emotionally involve
i picked up the phone and called my family in homs
 i asked them to start a demo in rastan and surrounding areas
my family offered that they will join me in daraa
i said that not what i want i want you to kick of in homs
i was crying at the time very emotional
i was crying at the time very emotional
my family in rastan answered my call
then it all started in qadam near damascus
that was the time when i defected
my intention was to stay in daraa i loved the place and the people
they stood up for their right
they want to change history
they want dignity
freedom
and normal life
long live syria !!!!
