  1. PHANTOM FORCES: HOW2GUN
  2.
  3. So you wanna not suck at Phantom Forces? You're reading the right tutorial. Before we begin, you should know that every other Phantom Forces player is shit. I'm the best. If you look at any YouTuber, war clannie or even developer for Phantom Forces, understand that they're inferior to me. I've played Phantom Forces since it was paid access set at 100 ROBUX. I've been deleted on a rank 60+ account, a rank 80+ account, a rank 40+ account, I have three accounts between rank 20-30 and my current main PF account is rank 109. If I only played on one account I would be #1 on the leaderboard. The last time I found a player capable of getting a better score/kdr than me was last year.
  4.
  5. You may have found guides on YouTube or the subreddit, /r/phantonforces. These guides and the people that makes them are total shit 95% of the time. Yes, even SynthesizeOG or whatever his name is sucks. Don't listen to them. They're bad role models.
  6.
  7. Okay so now that that's out of the way, the first thing you're going to want to do is set up some super good classes. An important thing to note is that the developers at Stylis Studios are pretty good. They're not perfect, however. Because they're not perfect, there are issues in PF specifically with balancing. There are good guns and there are bad guns. Before I say anything else, THE BFG IS A BAD GUN. If you still believe that it's a good gun after this guide... being good at Phantom Forces isn't for everyone.
  8.
  9. okay so heres what u need 2 have for ur classes!11
  10. --------------------------------
  11. ASSAULT
  12. AUG A1
  13. REFLEX SIGHT
  14. COMPENSATOR
  15. STUBBY GRIP
  16. GREEN LASER
  17.
  18. The AUG A1 is the best assault rifle (not "what i cosider to be" the best, but THE BEST) because it's extremely versatile. By versatile I mean it can be used in almost every situation, especially with this setup. Since the AUG update, the A1 keeps its built-in optic even if you choose one other than the default. This allows you to switch between the Reflex and the Telescopic sights using T, just as you would switch between canted sights. The main advantage is that you can have a green laser attached as well. The AUG has fantastic stability, so you should be able to use your Reflex optic up to ~175 studs. You can also hipfire if they're within 50 studs, even with the stubby grip. The green laser helps see where you're aiming while hip firing and also shows your recoil patter while aiming down the sights. Using telescopic optics WILL NOT increase your aim stability, but it will make your target easier to see, which will improve your aim/accuracy. If a target is over 250 studs away, your best approach is to tap LMB a few times. The objective when tapping is to do it just enough to allow your gun to return from the recoil. This will save ammo (ammo is very important to players who rarely die) and allow you to kill targets more quickly. Your bullets will hit your target while tapping faster than they will on full auto if your spread goes well away from their body at long ranges. Also, never change your firing mode with the AUG A1. Semi auto is pointless considering you can click fast enough to only fire one shot.
  19. ------------------------------
  20. ENGINEER
  21. MP7
  22. PKA-S
  23. COMPENSATOR
  24. STUBBY GRIP
  25. GREEN LASER
  26.
  27. Very similar to the AUG A1 setup, but much better at close range. The MP7 stands up against almost every other gun at close range, only defeated by the AS VAL and the VSS Vintorez. Both of these guns, however, kind of suck for how poorly they work against groups and how often they quickly they spend their ammunition. The MP7 shoots 950 rounds per minute, giving it a great damage per second stat. It has great hip stability and is very light, allowing you to move quickly while hip firing. The PKA-S gives you a good FOV while aiming and a good view of your target. The green laser is easier to see than the red one while hip firing, and isnt lined up vertically or horizontally with your optic allowing you to have a better sense of depth when aiming. If you don't know by now, hip firing is something you should do. If you don't know how to hip fire, it's very simple. Dont aim, move while you shoot. Don't hip fire at enemies far away. Don't stand still while hip firing. Although it's less accurate and less stable, firing from the hip allows you to see more around you, aim faster an move faster. If you have the MP7 and you happen to walk into a room at the same time as an opponent, hip fire while moving in the opposite direction as them. If they move to your left, move to your right and keep your laser on them. It's very likely that they'll struggle to shoot you. Also, if someone runs at you with a knife (always a bad idea if you have two loaded and fully functional guns that shoot bullets) back up while hip firing. They will die. The MP7 lets you move quickly, so use this to your advantage in all situations. Diving into cover is a good idea.

  29. SUPPORT
  30. L86 LSW
  31. COMP AIMPOINT
  32. COMPENSATOR
  33. STUBBY GRIP
  34. GREEN LASER
  35.
  36. Similar to the AUG A1, only much better at longer ranges. The L86 is a 4-5 shot kill, it has plenty of ammo upon spawning, and it can also kill enemies through cover. The Aimpoint has the perfect level of magnification. It doesn't zoom so far that your stability makes you feel like you have parkinsons and it's not weak enough to let your muzzle flash destroy your visibility. Alternatively, you can use a flash hider with a Reflex optic for smaller maps like Crane Site or Highway Lot. Muzzle flash is the big fireball that shoots out of the barrel of your gun when you fire, and can be very annoying, considering it can obstruct your view of your target. If you've ever tried the MG36 with a z-point, you'll be familiar with shooting where you think the enemy is and finding enemies with your hitmarkers. Thankfully, the more magnification (zoom) your optic has, the less noticeable your muzzle flash is. The L86 is a heavy gun, and thus sucks at hip fire. It can still wipe out an enemy 15 studs away if you can catch them at a bad time, though. It has great aim stability with the Stubby Grip and is great for fucking up pesky bees hiding behind cover near windows, or especially those neon signs on metro. Speaking of neon, turn your graphics down to 6. The glow is hard to see through, and it turns on at 7+.
  37.
  38. ALTERNATIVELY you can use the AUG HBAR
  39. AUG HBAR
  40. REFLEX SIGHT
  41. FLASH HIDER
  42. VERTICAL GRIP
  43. GREEN LASER
  44.
  45. This setup is ONLY good for Metro or King Of The Hill matches as you'll want to be hip firing more than anything else. The flash hider makes hip firing tremendously easier, as you have more visibility on your target, your field of view, and you can see your bullet trail easier. The vertical grip will greatly improve your hip stability as well. If you know how to hip fire and you get lucky enough to play a match on Metro w/ King Of The Hill, you're going to get a good score/kdr. Remember to keep moving.
  46. ------------------------
  47. RECON
  48. SCAR-SSR
  49. Vcog 6x
  50. Muzzle Brake
  51. Stubby Grip
  52. Green Laser
  53.
  54. how2get 33+ kdr 101. If you're not at the appropriate rank for the SCAR-SSR, start saving up. If you don't have enough credits by rank 70 then just keep leveling. This gun will farm kills and turn the whole server against you with hackusations faster than the BFG can fire. The SCAR-SSR is better than the Dragunov SVU because it has around the same rate of fire, less weapon sway and it can SHOOT THROUGH WALLS. It's a 2 limb shot kill at close range, a 1 head shot kill at close range, and at max range a head shot leaves enemies with 4 health, meaning you'll get an assist kill if they get shot even once by your teammate. Assist kills count towards your KDR. Theres little bullet drop, and if an enemy ducks behind puny baby cover he's bound to get shot through a wall. The Vcog gives you the range that the SCAR-SSR desrves, and the muzzle brake and stubby grip help keep your scope from punching you in the eye, allowing you to aim and prepare your next shot through recoil. A good strategy to use with the SSR is to start aiming into your scope at an enemy, and to shoot your first shot before you've fully scoped in. This is also known as quickscoping, and works at semi-close range. Quickscoping is easier with a green laser and can give you an insta-kill if you headshot your enemy, or catch them off guard if they think it'll take longer to shoot.
  55.
  56. There is an issue with the SSR, however, and it's that it doesnt work too well against the 2% of Phantom Forces players who know how to move through cover correctly. If a good player joins your server and keeps sniping/flanking you, you're best off with the MP7 or AUG A1.
  57. -----------------------------
  58. SECONDARY
  59. Don't use these: TEC-9, SERBU SHOTGUN, DEAGLE, M93R.
  60. The TEC-9 sucks at ranges even the Serbu shotun would be effective at. Both the Tec and Super Shorty are bad because they deplete their ammo too quickly and aren't very reliable. Also the TEC-9 has the worst recoil and damage of all guns in the game. The MP412 REX is the most skill based and rewarding secondary, mainly because of the headshot multiplier. It depletes ammunition quickly as well, but it has a great payoff in that headshots are 1 shot kills up to ~75 studs. If you can aim well (I can) the Rex is the way to go. Otherwise, the M9, G17 or G18 are great weapons. The G18 is best for aiming, since it has very little muzzle drift. A good reference point when aiming with the G18 is the top of your delta/mini sight. If you place the top of the optic over your enemy, most of your shots will hit. This works at ranges up to 100 studs, making the G18 work surprisingly well for killing medium range enemies when you run out of ammo for your primary.
  61. --------------------------------
  62. TIPS AND TRICKS
  63.
  64. Don't dive unless you're diving behind an enemy while turning or diving behind cover. Most people think "it makes you a smaller target so you're harder to shoot". It does make you a smaller target, but it also makes you a completely motionless target. It's much more difficult to shoot someone running than someone laying down. Thankfully if you dive behind an enemy, they can't shoot you at all until they turn around. Even so, you can't shoot so well while diving.
  65.
  66. Use cover correctly. You want to expose as little of your body when peeking over cover as possible. Don't return to windows after being shot at from them. Find another wall to peek around. Also, if you're sniping through a window, DON'T STAND CLOSE TO IT. Idiots have given window sniping a bad name because they stand directly against windows when they snipe out of them. You can only aim at one spot at a time. If you stand up against a window, everyone outside can see you. You can only shoot at one spot. By backing up, you're exposed to less positions outside. You're less likely to get shot through the wall, you let your teammates see through it as well, and you can see the rest of the room better to prevent people from sneaking up on you.
  67.
  68. Use your radar. Don't stare at it for half of the round. Usually, only a quarter of the enemy team is on the map at any given time. You should only glance at the map every 10 seconds, or when you hear gunshots nearby. You'll have a better reaction time if you know when the enemy will be in your line of sight, and you can also get more grenade kills through using the map.
  69.
  70. COOK YOUR FUCKING GRENADES. I can't stress this enough. If you tap G instead of holding it, eat a dick. The reticle in the center of your screen bounces every second. Your grenade explodes on the 5th bounce. Don't hold it while it explodes. If an enemy is 100+ studs away, cook for 3 seconds. Any closer and you should be cooking for 4. If you're on crane site and there's enemies camping the crane (which is a bad place to camp) you can get on the weird 3 story complex next to it and cook for 3.5 seconds, then jump forward while you throw your grenades and actually frag kill enemies on the crane. Cooking is a very fun practice and is the best way to kill players going on a rampage. Keep in mind the direction you're moving will change the path of grenades. (there's a bug where sometimes the reticle wont bounce for a second, keep an eye out for this by learning how to count seconds accurately)
  71.
  72. Don't use suppressors. Ever. Good players don't look at their radar that often and most players never look at it. The damage reduction isn't worth it and they don't improve stability at all. If you don't want muzzle flash then use a flash hider.
  73.
  74. Ignore stability/accuracy stats. They're not based on any actual gun stats and they're almost always misleading.
  75.
  76. Don't aim with your reticle. Use a laser. If you don't have a laser then look at your bullet trails. Your gun is seperate from your camera, so you should be drawing an imaginary line from your barrel to your target when aiming.
  77.
  78. Don't use your knife as a primary or secondary. You have two guns. If they both have ammo and shoot bullets, congratulations. You have two weapons better than a knife. I only knife when I run out of ammo for my primary and secondary and can't dive into cover, or when I'm within 10 studs of an enemy with a gun that sucks at close range.
  79.
  80. THE BFG IS A BAD GUN. In fact, its the worst gun in the game. The only time I'll pick up a BFG is when I have the MP7 and want to switch out my secondary, or when I'm teasing the player with it by killing them with their own gun. When you can shoot once every 3 seconds (or 4 if you have to scope in) you're going to suck. The 1 shot kill only works up to 225 studs (which isn't very far away). Arms and legs cover almost twice the surface area as the head and chest, especially when an enemy is aiming at you and their arms are in front of them. If you meet two enemies at the same time. You're fucked. If you miss a shot at close range, you're fucked. If an enemy sniper is aiming at you and you miss or get a hitmarker, you're fucked. On many occasions I've gotten more kills in 10 seconds than bullets the BFG can fire. Not only is the rate of fire shitty with hardly any real payoff, but you move and aim slower with the bfg than the M60. It's a bad gun. It's the worst gun. Don't use it. Your overall KDR will never go above 4.
  81. --------------------------------------
  82. MAPS AND STUFF
  83.
  84. On Crane Site and Crane Site revamp, the 3/4.5 story building with the ladder to the roof is a great place to camp, but only one one floor. The floor with the bridge is the best place to be, and if you're on the regular crane site then you're going to want to stay on the side of that floor with the bridge access. You have cover from all sides, and access to 60+% of the map by peeking around the bridge. You can kill people on the crane, people capturing the hill, and people capturing point A and C. It's on the opposite side of the stairs, so people going up the stairwell won't see you. I got 99 kills with the SSR in this spot, and rarely get a KDR below 5 from camping there.
  85.
  86. On Metro, try not to walk around at the top of the escalators. If you're in that one room with the purple striped walls above the metal staircase shooting towards the center of the map, listen for metal footsteps. That indicates someone's running up the stairs. If you have the SSR or really any long range DMR setup, you can camp behind the handrail of the escalator at the edge of your spawn and use it as cover to kill people across that long hallway. The AUG HBAR works best on top, especially near the center.
  87.
  88. On Highway Lot there's no map boundaries, meaning you can get a ballistics tracker and a rifle and destroy enemies 1000 studs away if you can compensate for bullet travel time. Don't do this unless it's TDM, though. Otherwise you'll hardly see anyone.
  89.
  90. On Desert Storm there's a great place to snipe from behind the sandy/rocky hill at the edge of the map. You have plenty of vertical and horizontal cover that's impossible to shoot through. If someone else does this, try spotting them.
  91. ---------------------
  92. that's all i got for ya, kiddos. remember to cook your grenades, and that the bfg is a bad gun
  93.
  94. thank you and shut up loser
