  1. This post is for those who are interested to enter the CyberSecurity field.
  2. The State of California has awarded a grant to Coastline Community College
  3. to train individuals in a Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program.
  4.  
  5. Application is competetive and only limited to 50 individuals.
  6.  
  7. Here is an opportunity to participate in an Apprenciceship program
  8. to work in a paid CyberSecurity position for 30 hours a week while commiting
  9. to study CyberSecurty subjects and pass Security Certifications for fifteen months.

  16. • What are the qualifications to become a cybersecurity apprentice in this program?
  17. o 18 or older on the 1st day of the cohort track
  18. o High school or GED equivalent
  19. o A+ certified
  20. o US Citizen/Right to work/Work VISA
  21. o Coastline application; completion of the math and English placement exam (or transfer
  22. credit of C or better in these courses - this is a Coastline requirement)
  23. o Application to the program
  24. o Written and oral entry exam

  68. o No, but individuals must have the right to work (work visa or citizenship) in order to qualify
  69. for the apprenticeship program.

  71. o Individuals must be 18 or older to qualify for the program.
  72. • When do I need to be A+ certified by in order to qualify for the program? (How long before the
