The State of California has awarded a grant to Coastline Community College
to train individuals in a Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program.

Application is competetive and only limited to 50 individuals.

Here is an opportunity to participate in an Apprenciceship program
to work in a paid CyberSecurity position for 30 hours a week while commiting
to study CyberSecurty subjects and pass Security Certifications for fifteen months.

Qualifications

• What are the qualifications to become a cybersecurity apprentice in this program?
o 18 or older on the 1st day of the cohort track
o High school or GED equivalent
o A+ certified
o US Citizen/Right to work/Work VISA
o Coastline application; completion of the math and English placement exam (or transfer
credit of C or better in these courses - this is a Coastline requirement)
o Application to the program
o Written and oral entry exam
o Interested in cybersecurity and networking

• Must I be a US resident in order to qualify for the program?
o No, but individuals must have the right to work (work visa or citizenship) in order to qualify
for the apprenticeship program.
• What age must I be in order to start the program?
o Individuals must be 18 or older to qualify for the program.
• When do I need to be A+ certified by in order to qualify for the program? (How long before the
cohort section begins?)
o Applicants must have passed the A+ certification before day 1 of the cohort
o It is recommended that individuals complete their certification exam before the application
