"What is 'Maxis Match'?"
Custom Content that aims to match the original style (mesh complexity and texture detail) set by Maxis in the original game. If you're sick of seeing high-detail alpha hairs that look jarringly out-of-place in the Sims 4 world, then you'll want Maxis Match hairs. Likewise, you probably don't want to see lazy conversions of furniture from other games that are not properly re-textured.
